Das ist wieder so dies typische Spiel bei dem man am liebsten einen Daumen zur Seite geben würde und ich mich nur schwer entscheiden kann ob ich es gut oder schlecht bewerten soll. Ich drücke den Daumen nach oben, weil ich insgesamt schon Spaß beim spielen hatte.

Ich fand es gut, dass man erst das Fahrverhalten in verschiedenen Prüfungen lernt, denn das Verhalten eines Trucks ist schon anders als man es aus Rennspielen von Fahrzeugen kennt. Andere schreiben, dass der Truck sich wie ein Bobby Car verhält, dies kann ich nicht bestätigen. Man muss hier schon aufpassen wie man Gas gibt, denn einmal ausgebrochen ist es gar nicht einfach den Truck wieder einzufangen. Dies lernt man in den Tutorials.

Auch die Meisterschaften waren okay, wobei ich keinen Unterschied gemerkt habe in der Schwierigkeit von beiden Saison Veranstaltungen. Beide funktionieren so, dass man in der jeweilig ersten Saison nur Verträge für Rennwochenenden bekommt. Erst nach Abschluss der Saison bekommt man Verträge für die gesamte Saison. Auch in dieser kann man erst seinen Truck tunen, das fällt vorher alles weg.

Ich fand das Fahrverhalten realistisch, auch die KI fand ich anspruchsvoll, die reagieren halt schon manches Mal asozial, gerade wenn man überholen will, das macht Spaß, das fühlt sich auch an wie ein Kampf.

Es gibt aber auch negative Punkte, ich spiele mit 3080ti und dennoch lief das Spiel in den Rennen nicht ganz ruckelfrei auf den höchsten Einstellungen, das ist ärgerlich, denn die Grafik ist wirklich nicht sehr gut. Insgesamt also grafisch schlecht optimiert. Auch etwas nervig ist die Tatsache, dass man während einem Rennwochenende nicht speichern kann. So muss man 4 Rennen absolvieren, 2 Qualifing und 2 mal die Super Pole. Da vergeht also ordentlich Zeit, mal eben nen Stündchen daddeln fällt also weg. Ich habe mich daher für die kürzeste Renndistanz entschieden und auch viele Rennen einfach geskippt, wenn ich genug Punkte aus den vorherigen zusammen hatte. In der Realität hat ein Truck Rennwochenende soweit ich informiert bin keine 4 Rennen, aber ich bin da auch nicht ganz so in der Thematik drinnen.

Wie ihr sehr, viel positives, aber auch viel negatives, muss im Grunde jeder selbst entscheiden wie weit ihn die negativen Dinge beeinflussen. Ich gebe den Daumen nach oben, weil ich das Spiel insgesamt okay fand. Viel Spaß beim daddeln.

Das Spiel ist klasse es ist besser als Formel 1 2019 . Was ich mir von den Entwickerteam BIGBEN wünsche ist das sie mit SCS Software zusammenarbeiten und das Spiel jedes Jahr mit DLCs verbessern . Das man sich das Spiel nicht immer wieder neu Kaufen muß . Ich vergebe die Bestnote für dieses Spiel .

Ich kann nur sagen sehr guten arbeit auch die Online Events sind klasse gemacht das Spiel macht lust auf mehr . Das Spiel hat sehr viel potential und ich bin gespannt was die Entwickler noch so vor haben .

An sich nicht mal soooo schlecht, aber was mich unheimlich nervt (auch in anderen Spielen) ist dass gequatsche wenn man zum ersten mal einen Bildschirm öffnet. Das wäre ja nicht schlimm, wenn man es wegklicken könnte, aber wenn man mir unter Zwang 3-4 Minuten erklärt, wie man eine Tabelle liest oder was ein Rennwochenende ist und woraus es besteht, dann ist das für mich ein absolutes NO-Go!!! Besonders weil sich das wie ein roter Faden durch das gesamte Spiel zieht und man nichtmal ein Rennen starten kann ohne sich zuerst das sinnlose Gerede anhören zu müssen. Ich habe das Spiel gekauft um mich zu unterhalten und Spaß sowie Action zu haben, wenn ich sowas gewollt hätte, hätte ich ein Hörbuch gekauft.

Nichtmal eine Woche nach Release wird -wie inzwischen üblich - das erste überteuerte DLC angeboten, statt Fehler beseitigt.

Vorneweg die negativen Reviews zum Spiel kann ich überhaupt nicht verstehen,es macht viel Spass mal was anderes als Formel1 oder etc.kann es nur empfehlen wer grosse Wagen liebt ist hier genau richtig :)

Moin an alle Racing Freunde,

kommen wir erst mal zum positiven:
Die Grafik ist soweit ok und das Game läuft sehr flüssig.
Das FFB ist, soweit ich das mit den Fahrzeugen beurteilen kann, sehr gut und man bekommt vom Fahrzeug und der Strecke ein gutes Feedback.
Bei der Karriere im Singleplayer muss man erst mal durch ein Tutorial um das Fahrzeug zu erlernen. Das geht relativ schnell und ist auch einigermaßen einfach.

Kommen wir nun zu den no-go dingen:
Ich bin zuerst im solo-Event auf der zweit höchsten kI Schwierigkeit gefahren und habe die kI auf an hieb zersägt. In der Karriere habe ich dann die höchste Schwierigkeit eingestellt und dort war es ähnlich, also die Herausforderung gegen die kI ist gleich null.
Die kI selber ist unberechenbar und super schlecht programmiert, z.B. bremst die kI auf der geraden und fährt Zickzack. Am Start selber, der fliegend ist zieht die kI teilweise an einem vorbei und ist danach ultra langsam.

Zum Multiplayer kann ich nichts sagen, es war keine Lobby offen zum joinen.

Mein Fazit:
Da ich aus dem Simracing komme und zu 99% gegen andere Fahrer fahre es aber bis jetzt keine bis wenig Multiplayer zur Verfügung stehen ist es für mich persönlich ein Fehlkauf.
In Sachen Singleplayer/Karriere ist es zum größten Teil nicht spielbar, erstens wegen der fehlenden Herausforderung durch die kI und die schlecht programmierte kI die sehr grenzwertig über die Strecke fährt.
Also auch in diesem Fall ist das Game für mich ein Fehlkauf.

Nach 44 Minuten Spielzeit ziehe ich hier ein erstes Resumee:

Das Spiel selbst macht einen ordentlichen ersten Eindruck, Menüs sind übersichtlich und einfach zu bedienen.
Auf den zweiten Blick fallen leider einige Dinge auf. Gespielt habe ich auf höchster Grafikeinstellung und höchstem Schwierigkeitsgrad/Realismus mit einem G27.

Im Tutorial wurde mein G27 nicht erkannt, somit musste ich es abbrechen. Es ist nicht möglich, dieses zu wiederholen. Wer testen möchte, muss dies dann in schnellen Rennen tun.
Die KI ist angenehm aggressiv, bleibt aber auf den hinteren Plätzen recht fair. Fahrfehler sind bis Platz 3 zu beobachten. Leider sind die Rückspiegel nur sehr unscharf, die Rückkamera zudem kaum zu sehen, da das HUD an derselben Stelle Drehzahl und Geschwindigkeit überblendet.
Im Verlauf des Rennens ist es schwierig Geschwindigkeiten und Position abzuschätzen, da die Physik kaum Rückmeldung gibt. Beschilderung an Kurven usw ist entweder nicht vorhanden, oder so schwer zu sehen, dass sie nicht hilft.
Wer Fahrhilfen wie in F1 gewohnt ist, also zB farblich anpassende Ideallinie bei zu hoher Geschwindigkeit oder ähnliches, wird enttäuscht sein. Mehr als die Ideallinie lässt sich leider nicht einstellen. Diese ist als Pfeillinie statisch in Form und Farbe, gibt also keinerlei Hilfe zur Geschwindigkeit.
Angesichts der Größe und des Gewichts des Fahrzeugs erwartet man auch entsprechende Auswirkungen auf die Fahrphysik. Leider musste ich feststellen, dass sich dies auf den Truck fast gar nicht auswirkt. Wer in Kurven extrem übertreibt wird herausgetragen, aber ohne jede Bewegung im Chassis, Lenkung usw. Das Feedback ist wirklich sehr gering, auch wenn der Controller Force Feedback unterstützt und auf maximale Stärke eingestellt wurde.
Kollisionen lassen sich nicht immer vermeiden und werden von der KI auch selbst provoziert. Strafen für Rammen konnte ich nur bei wirklich vorsätzlichem und sehr grobem Handeln beobachten. Es ist durchaus möglich, sich den Weg freizuschieben, ohne jede Konsequenz.
Apropos Konsequenz: Kollisionen mit Fahrzeugen und auch Streckengebrenzungen haben keinerlei Einfluss auf die Fahrphysik. Selbst nach einem ungebremsten Crash in die Betonmauer kann der Truck problemlos weiter gefahren werden.

Mein Fazit:
Für aktuell 39,99€ in der DayOne-Version am Releasetag scheint das Spiel gnadenlos überteuert. Der Begriff Simulation wird dem Spiel nicht ganz gerecht, da es sich viel mehr wie ein Arcade-Spiel fährt in der Tradition eines Need for Speed 2.
Wer sich angesichts des Preises ein Spiel auf Niveau von F1 oder Forza erhofft, wird mit diesem Titel nicht glücklich.
Sollte es einmal deutlich günstiger im Sale sein, könnte es eine spaßige Alternative sein um sich mit Freunden einige Runden zu messen. Für mehr langt es leider derzeit nicht.

Ich habe das Spiel wieder rückabgewickelt.

Pro:
+ Offizielle FIA Lizenz, Trucks und Teams sind stimmig
+ Soundkulisse ist ordentlich

Contra:
- Schadensmodell ist zwar einstellbar, hat aber keinerlei Auswirkungen auf die Steuerung
- Strafen nicht konsequent
- Grafik ist sehr mittelmäßig, Rückspiegel extrem unscharf
- Kein Headtracking oder VR
- Das Fahrverhalten gleicht eher einem Bobbycar, als einem 5 Tonnen schweren Truck
- Außer der statischen Ideallinie keinerlei Fahrhilfen

FIA Truck racing delivers a sound racing experience. Managing brakes can be frustrating at times, but overall adds to the immersion of the product.

The AI is garbage, being far too easy to beat on Professional difficulty, as well as the penalty system being incredibly frustrating at times.

However if you like Truck racing, the game will definitely be enough to keep you happy.

I would not advise paying full price of this game, but if you can pick it up for $10 or less, give it a crack.

Also GamerMuscle is an idiot.

Intro for the first start is 100% volume and unskippable
Throws you right into a race before you've had the chance to set anything up
Multiplayer is dead (no players), it was mostly dead when the game originally launched anyways
Not the best quality sounds
The assistant in your ear never shuts up, repeats the exact same lines 1000 times
The AI don't have any clue what they're doing
The voice actors sound like generic cheap actors
The feeling of force feedback and how the trucks handle is questionable at best
Cooling down your brakes is pointless, you'd have to TRY to get your brakes to get to 1000° C.

Pros: (4)
Good training/licensing to learn all the mechanics of the game
It has all of the sounds you'd expect to hear, brake noise and everything
Fairly good graphics
Loads quickly

So can I recommend it? No, not for more than $10. Some free unity games could beat this.

So far this game has been the most fun I've had playing a racing game for a long while. the graphics are great, the physics are great, and it's not overly difficult to win, but there's still exciting parts to make it challenging and fun. I wouldn't buy it full price because I'm cheap, but definitely worth the discounted price I paid, which I think was 12 dollars. I think the negative reviews are coming from people who are not familiar with truck racing or trucks in general and probably paid full price. I would recommend this game.

I have never experienced a racing game made this poorly.
Tutorial (or License Test as it's called) takes ~30 minutes.
They introduced brake temp management, but other factors such as tyre wear, fuel management, engine modes aren't even there.
Is there force feedback? Yes. But only for brake management, and when going on kerbs. There's no whatsoever feedback when you're understeering or about to oversteer.
The AI is atrocious, worse than in any game I've played. On Professional difficulty, their qualifying times were 8 seconds per lap ahead of me, but during the race, they're 8 seconds a lap behind me. They are fast for no reason, brake way later than I am able to, it's like they just brake wherever they want.
Difficulty? None of that. No settings for traction control, stability control, ABS (in fact if you disable brake management ABS is turned on, hence no FFB) etc.

It is a heavy gpu game although the visuals are like from 2012.You dont feel that you own a truck because you dont have a garage or something.The settings for the steering wheel dont save! very few race tracks.Online does not work and is not due to insuficient number of players.Developers nowhere to be found.Although the driving force feedback is decent the virtual wheel cant match your wheel.If you want a real truck-car simulator consider buying Beamng drive instead.

It's a shame how much this game gets overlooked. Anyone that is a fan of racing, or a fan of trucks, or both, this is a very enjoyable racing sim. Yes I called it a sim, because the physics are pretty damn good and the sounds and truck details are amazing.

First thing I did when I launched the game was go into video settings get everything maxed out (the game looks good), then into controls to make sure everything was mapped. It automatically mapped the G27 correctly from what I could tell, but I still went through the buttons to make sure and have my own preferences. Paired with adjusting some of the feedback settings in game, and manual shifting and clutch, it feels good and is really fun. I can see myself coming back and doing the career races and things for fun, when I'm feeling like hooning some big rigs around a track. They can drift quite nicely too. :)

Took some getting used to, a completely different driving style to say, a GTLM car or something, but once you understand the behavior and account for the weight of the truck, it makes sense dynamically as anything you'd expect. The multiplayer unfortunately seems completely empty, as the only option I end up getting is to make a lobby. And I may try to host one sometime to see what happens but that's just a heads up for anyone looking for lots of online racing, as I was. People misunderstood or didn't give the game enough of a chance, but it's still a great truck racing sim. And those are rare enough as it is. It's not perfect. The tutorial is effective and useful for beginners but can feel tedious for any experienced driver.

Half of me recommends it, if you like trucks/racing or are an automotive enthusiast that just likes all vehicles, and you got some money to spare. The other half realises the game may not end up being supported in the long term and isn't exactly cheap. On a sale? For sure. Normally? If you want to support the developers for having done a good job, I'd say yes. Maybe we can see a resurgence of this game or a successor in the future. Hell, if these devs were to use this physics engine and made an ATS competitor of some kind but maybe include racing as additional gigs to take, I would be all over that, as would many ATS/ETS2 fans, if marketed correctly.

UPDATED - At the end of season 1, like other users, I found it impossible to progress any further thanks to a bug. Between the fact the game is bad AND it's got game breaking bugs, that's it. I'd give it a 0.5 out of 10. Removing from account. It really is THAT horrible. No idea how it got even MIXED reviews on Steam.

ORIGINAL - Outdated graphics (and I do mean severely outdated from 2019 when it was released), poor physics & handling model. Bad AI. Severe lack of speed sensation (your morning commute will give you more excitement and a better feeling of speed). I won't complain about the lack of VR (or even head tracking support for those with IR camera setups), because honestly, this game isn't worth playing flat or VR, headtracked or not.

At the end of the day, there are TONS better racing games out there. I mean seriously, search by racing genre, then shut your eyes and pick one at random...odds are it's going to blow this game away. So play one of those instead. Because this...it isn't fun. It isn't good.

Get this if it is on a big sale but no other time. The graphics are good and driving physics are ok for an arcade game, but in fairness the only other truck physics I have played with is Euro Truck Simulator.

The tutorial is slow and can't be skipped.

There is nobody to race against online, no active community. so you can only race offline. But when you race offline the AI are seriously slow even on professional difficulty. Maybe this is good for you if you are bad at racing games.

The game visually looks good. The tracks look beautiful, the trucks have good models and it all seems fine in the screenshots, but there are some major flaws.

The tutorial is way too long. You can't skip dialog and it feels like they're holding your hand through the first hour over every little thing. Also the licence tests are not fun. In Gran Turismo they are fun little challenges that gives you rewards but in this game you have to do all 15 of the most boring tests imaginable. They aren't even challenging since one of them I beat with 5 seconds to spare, and the challenge was to take a single corner.

Once you start racing the game it gets even worse with the easiest ai ever. I was barely even trying in my very first race and I won by over 10 seconds. It doesn't better with harder difficulty because they feel the exact same. Also the ai drivers keep spinning and crashing for no reason. On one track the trucks just kept braking in the middle of the straight for no reason. Later in that race a truck was just parked in the middle of the track.

It's a real shame. I wanted to like this game but it feels like they didn't even play test this game. They aren't going to fix any of this since the last update was a year ago so sadly, I do not recommend this game.

Both hate and love the game

I’ve tried some digging into the developers company (N-RACING), I’ve never heard of em also I’ve not found a single thing of them on google or wiki. Seems like this is their first ever game, I might be wrong but I’ve not found anything else they’ve made.

Controls:
The trucks feel really heavy through and through. It does take quite some time to get used to the controls, but once you get a feeling for it its actually great fun. It’s definitely arcade style and reminds me of the car handling in Wreckfest, so fun n’ good arcade.
The way the truck starting to slide and lose control, you get that feeling you on the rugged edge and just holding that slide and come back. Its great feeling and do really enjoy that. It does happen often but never get bored of it.

Gameplay:
It does something different compared to other games, here you literally need to control the heat in the brakes, yes yes the concept is not new. However here you need to poor water on the brakes to cool them down and you have limited amount of water with you. So while you sliding about you need to keep em in check or they won’t perform and ware off fast. This feature can of cause be turned off if one wishes to.

AI:
Well they are quite dumb. Definitely not the best I’ve seen. That said they do make mistakes on the track which ads some flavour to it, but I don’t know if that’s on purpose or not.

Graphics:
Well it’s the same game engine as the one from TT Isle of Man game. Not perfect but definitely not bad either. The truck models do look really good I must say, the tracks look decent but are looking the best in Sunset/Sunrise in the wet. Considering this is not a AAA game it’s not bad at all.

Sounds:
The truck sounds are great they are immersive.
The rest is absolutely dreadful! If you played the F1 games with Jeff and you think he’s annoying well this person is easily 15 times worse, im just soooooo happy you can turn of the sound of the voice overs. They truly are plain horrible! Music, just insta mute that aswell…

Price:
I’ve got this for 60% off about 15€, for that yeah it’s worth it definitely some fun hours to be had.
But for full price 40€? Hell no! I can only speculate it’s this much due to getting the truck licences. But it’d not worth full price by any means.

Took me 1h to get to the first proper career race, which was almost 30 min to complete. To be honest though, I actually enjoyed the whole driving aspect, just not the limitations you are given. In which racing games do you get a speed limit of 160km/h?
The watercooling thing seems interesting, though I barely needed it through the race, but my radio buddy still wanted me to spray some water on the brakes.
The AI is fine for what this game is.. until they freak out and slide into your back, making you both spin out.

Drifting is alot of fun aswell. No, really.

Keep going, you could win this race!! says the annoying lady constantly... Turned off music, turned off her and now we are racing!. Love this game. Smooth graphics, trucks feel heavy, and control feels real. The physics feel good and I'm enjoying this game! At the sale price I give this a thumbs up!

I would say this game still needs improvements still lacks of funnest but so far its all good!

After spending nearly an hour trying game to recognize accel pedal with no luck, (G29) I requested a refund. This was asked about by other players in the forum, with no answers. Its unfortunate as I was looking forward to playing this.

I have to say this is one of the most boring racing games I have played. Just the process leading up to each race its screen after screen. Then when driving, there's little to maintain interest and it just becomes a process of driving around in circles avoiding overuse of the brake cooling... Unless its cheap I wouldn't bother.

got this a few weeks ago and played it for a while i dont think its a sim have to wait for more updates the ai is to easy and the engine sounds not real but you can still have fun on it graphics not very good at the moment its a pick up and play game

The bloom is so bad from in-cab that I can't play. Especially at Indianapolis. Other views are reasonable but I don't care for that arcade style of view.

Its a little disappointing because the series IRL is fun to watch and its nice to play in that space. The tracks and trucks in game seam in good shape. I'm not going to uninstall it and ask for a refund because I am hopeful for a fix. But if you like racing from the cab, then I would not recommend at this time.

Anyone else, sure go for it on sale.

While it's certainly not on the same scale as Forza or similar racing games, it's target audience isn't either.
At least the truck racing is better than the ones they have in Forza.

The AI can be a little easy if you play with manual transmission. But if you keep an open mind entering this game you will enjoy some nice truck racing action. If youre not sure, get it while its on sale.
