Kampf
Die Kämpfe in Garbage sind automatisch, alle Vorbereitungen werden vor dem Kampf erledigt. Ein einzigartiges System, das die unerforschten Gründe des Simulationsgenres erkundet.

Wähle zwischen Hunderten von Fähigkeiten, um so etwas wie einen Meister-Kämpfer zu bauen. Kombiniere Techniken, um ein Team aufzubauen, das zusammenarbeitet.

Management
Das Spiel verfügt über ein detailliertes Konstruktionssystem mit vielen einzigartigen Gebäuden und Upgrades. Das Überleben mit minimalen Müllressourcen macht es zu einer Herausforderung. Baue klug und priorisiere die Notwendigkeiten.

Kümmere dich um deine Penner, als ob sie ein Tamagochi wären - füttere, dusche, trainiere sie und vieles mehr. Penner sind einzigartige Kreaturen, die keine besondere Pflege benötigen, um zu überleben: Sie weinen nicht, sie fragen nicht nach ausgefallenen Genüssen.

Das Spiel ist sehr ähnlich wie im wirklichen Leben; es hat ein Wettersystem, Tag, Nacht und sogar Jahreszeiten. Dieses erstaunliche System kann sowohl positiv als auch negativ das Überleben beeinflussen.

Die Welt von Garbage verfügt über ein Inventarsystem mit Hunderten von Gegenständen. Gegenstände, die du ausrüsten, basteln, konsumieren und gegen Müll handeln kannst.

Beschäftige Penner, die in deinem Lager arbeiten. Jene unermüdlichen Arbeiter, die ohne Lohn arbeiten, sind entscheidend für dein Überleben.

Das Spiel ist eindeutig zu teuer für das was es bietet. Die Geschichte ist langweilig und das Ende naja sagen wir mal Geschmacksache.
Grundsätzlich ein einfaches Handygame für den PC. Mehr als eure Obdachlosen zur Dusche schicken an der Tonne warm zu halten und in 1 bis 2 von 3 möglichen Fähigkeiten zu trainieren muss man nicht machen und selbst für das braucht man jeweils nur einen Klick. Ja man muss noch die gebiete Freischalten, kann sein Camp zum teil upgraden und hat verschiedene Trainer für Bauen und spätere Skills aber das war es dann wirklich schon. Wer es mag einfach nur die automatisch generierten Daten am Monitor zu überwachen und darauf zu reagieren soll lieber ins Stromkraftwerk oder der Securiti Arbeiten gehen, da macht ihr das gleiche wie in dem Game aber bekommt noch Kohle dafür und müsst keine ausgeben.

In diesem Überlebenskampf geht es schmutzig und hart zu! Das Tutorial erklärt die ersten Schritte & hört dann einfach auf damit..weshalb ich, als sehr schnell verwirrte Person, so manch einen Ablauf nicht verstanden habe bzw. mir unter manchen Event Namen etwas vorstellen musste bevor es startete. Grafisch passen Stimmung und Spielstil gut zueinander und auch die Steuerung hat ohne Probleme geklappt. Die Tiefe an Strategie ist durch lange Skillbäume und ständige Events gegeben. Dadurch dass wir unseren Kämpfer auch noch auf der Straße am Leben erhalten müssen, wird es manchmal etwas stressig..und wer nicht gewinnt, bekommt auch nichts. Ich fand das Gesamtpaket bisher sehr umfassend & spannend, muss aber sagen, dass es so gar nicht meinen Humor trifft, weshalb ich es nicht weiter spielen werde. Natürlich muss man nicht immer alles so ernst nehmen, aber hier gewinnt meine Ernsthaftigkeit. Trotzdem Hut ab, war bis auf die Thematik ein interessantes Spiel.

Das ist nicht nur ein klasse Spiel, sondern es dient auch der Vorbereitung auf das Leben als Obdachloser, wenn die Grüne Partei die Macht übernimmt.

Train a hobo into a street fighter, gather some buds and organize a gang...

Fights are automatic, you just need to consider the training path for your grunts. The training and survival part is boring as usual, just spend some time to grind the resources... Nothing special here.

The thing that I actually liked is that you have two paths for every location, you can make some good deeds and then some bad deeds, and you can't tell from the start which one is what. Even when you have choices like to help satanists to perform their ritual or to help a pastor to banish them... Yeah, post-industrial morale trips, as sketchy as the Adults Swim reprises. And maybe even less funny, for the major part of audience.

Finally, content-wise and stability-wise, this game is certainly not worth a 'complete game' status. Beta? Sure. But I wouldn't recommend getting this Garbage any time soon, even bother with adding it to your wishlist... It is simply not good enough. And also, appears to be abandoned by the devs, so I doubt those stability issues will be fixed.

The mark is 5/10. Not the worst game of the year, sure, but very limited by the combination of not-so-cool humour and not-so-attractive visual style and gameplay process... And not too stable to play it on the hard difficulty, because of constant freezes when you need to restart the game to continue with it (no continues on hard). Duh.

True to its title, this game is Garbage. Which is a shame, because I wanted to like this game, it has a lot of things I've been looking for, but my problems are twofold:
1) In addition to being hideous to look at, the game is deeply unfunny, constantly relying on low-hanging fruit pop culture references and mean-spirited edgelord humor that I'm sure must appeal to someone, but was very much not my thing. This would be enough for me to dislike the game, but I would likely still recommend, if it weren't for the other issue...
2) The game is badly designed. For systems with a lot of moving parts that are tedious to learn through trial-and-error, the game's tutorial and in-game explanations are extremely unhelpful. Also, the progression through the game is gated behind arbitrary small decisions that are extremely easy to miss, leading me to spend needless amounts of time spinning my wheels doing nothing with no indication that a seemingly unimportant side-character is actually the only way to unlock most of the game's base-building. But worst of all, the deeper you get into the game (for some reason) the more unstable it gets. I ultimately had to abandon my playthrough because the game would irretrievably lock up every time one of the multiple unavoidable timer events took place, subjecting me to its needlessly long and dull loading screen over and over and sometimes randomly losing my progress (there is no manual saving).

I really struggle to think of who I would recommend this game to (perhaps someone who likes the things I hated in part 1 enough to help them stomach the problems in part 2), so I have to settle in recommending people not play it, if they value their time or money.

This was one of the hardest reviews for me to score because as much as I personally enjoyed the game, I can't really recommend it to others.

Garbage is a training simulator where you balance scraping together enough resources to survive the various hazards the game throws at you (bad weather, lack of food, etc) with powering up enough to be able to win fights. You assemble a team of hobos, level them up and pick skills for them to use, and then leave them to it and they fight automatically. I personally *love* this sort of game, and have probably about 100 hours spent on Punch Club, which is a similar sort of game. The difference here is that Garbage is really quite buggy. It's sort of randomly more buggy for some people. I'd guess it's to do with system specs but I know people with powerful machines who have had tons of issues, and people with low end machines who have had none (and the opposite, it seems random!)

Most of the bugs are innocent things that can fix themselves, but some can be pretty game breaking and if you save the game before you notice such a bug has triggered you can end up having to roll back saves and lose time. Also, some of the game is 'randomised' in such a way that it is just downright unpleasant to play if you get unlucky rolls. The developers did patch a few of these out over time but it is still there.

The combat is fun to watch sometimes, but also sometimes infuriating, especially when characters do not seem to swap targets consistently.

Having said all of that, I knew I would love this game just from the screenshots and I actually did enjoy it! I played it to near completion and then hit a wall where no amount of training seemed to help me. I lost a few times in a row, got bored, and left it fairly close to the end. It was worth the money for me, but I can't really recommend it to people - especially since it seems to be done with updates now, so some of the bugs will presumably never get fixed.

good stuff: pretty balanced, absolutely hysterical, valid rts with afk(?) combat

definitely difficult, but so isn't being homeless.
pay attention unlike me lol and it won't take 4 tries to get past the first area.
little bits of game knowledge goes a long way.

You start off way to weak and way to frustrating to even hope to eat! It takes so long to get strong enough to fight 2 people, get destroyed and heal longer without food or any items to find. begging is almost useless when you need food at night for Blood Moon. It's way to frustrating to even want to try again and again and again just to die at a low level anyway. If this wan't on sale, I'd never would waste my money on this game yet. There needs to be better options and help to start off and actually be able to make some fun decent progress.

Thare are so many bugs in the game and i've frustated to start over the because of it. i really hate it, eventhough the gameplay was good, but still the game was not making any fun after the bugs coming. like here's my character was bugging dissapier from the homebase but i still can see the hunggry notification i've tried to do something like order it to sleep (recovering) but it won't. it's so frustated you know, i've been wasted so much time. other issu like the trainer must be balance between the three element (agility, strength, stamina) but most of the game hav e 2 trainer so one of the elemnent does'nt have any trainer. :((

Garbage is a fighting game simulator with controls and construction. The plot is the sad life of a homeless man, which he has to put up with, but with his own philosophy. In the game, you need to upgrade your character to make it easier to find 30 unique zones. It's funny that the game is similar to real life, with transitions-day, night and even the seasons. The graphics of the game are simple and do not strain your eyes,which may not please everyone after playing 3D graphics. Having dealt with the tactics of the game, the difficulty of the levels increases over time, but all the missions are not yet completed. A joyful surprise, a gift of collectible cards in the game.

Garbage is a fighting game about a homeless man in this gloomy world with elements of grind, leveling, skills.
Pros:
- HUGE PLUS - the game has localization
- good graphics with a beautiful UI
- large map with quests
- comics that tell the story of the game
- good soundtrack
- good fighting system
- the game is quite difficult

- for me, there a little too much grind in this game

Garbage - game with a very exclusive and interesting idea.
It contains a deep meaning: we have never thought how hard bums life is - BUT now I understand and I think I will try to help them in real life)))
Picture is really good , comics, but well-drawn, it becomes so interesting to watch and follow plot of the game
The main cons: game NEEDS better optimization, DEVELOPERS pls take care about it cos something I - a person who has GTX NEW PC have freezes
Garbage rly draws into the process, I played more than 10 hours and it was nearly non-stop playing
PROS, one that moves this game forward, is it's humor. I liked and enjoyed it so much.

Finally, this game is funny, captivating and enlightening = GARBAGE. I didnt laugh so much while another games for the last 2 years, but this game made me smile. GREAT!

Could have been a fantastic game, it definitely has potential, but it focuses way too much on the fighting aspect over your actual survival . If you’re into the whole bum fights type stuff, then maybe you’ll like it, but I was looking for more of a story and survival aspects of someone who is experiencing homelessness .. not just endless training to prepare to fight other bums because that’s basically all this game includes . I wish they would have went in a different direction with this, (like the game “change”) but that comes down to my personal preferences . It’s still a neat game , with nice art work but quickly becomes repetitive . 90 percent of the time I just watched my character train and then head back to bed , rinse and repeat . Another lacking feature is a tutorial and can be a tiny bit confusing upon first play through . I liked that you can recruit others to fight with you , but when you literally have no food to even feed one character how am I supposed to supply the needs of another one ? That brings me to the next issue , food and water . Eventually you can grow food but you only have 4 spots to do so which takes a lot of your precious recourses and you don’t get a whole lot for your efforts and the plants can also easily die . There’s far too little food and that’s how I always ended up dying and having to completely start over from scratch . It was also frustrating that I wasn’t able to visit other locations until I finished a task in the first location ,leaving you with no options for food or water and why I have such an issue with it is because you’re greatly outclassed in the fights the majority of the time, thus making it difficult to get to that next location to have access to more supplies . All and all it wasn’t my thing

The game would not run on Mac, getting in touch with the game developers turns out there is nothing they can do. Strongly recommend Mac users not to buy the game

The lack of tutorial makes it hard to enjoy the game.
My character is starving and he doesn't have the material to build anything other than the bed and training facilities.
Other than sleeping and training, I don't know what to do next.

Honestly when I first took a look at this game, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it at all, but after starting up and learning how to do everything, I quickly got addicted and ended up playing for hours longer than I expected. I got heavily invested into buffing up my mega chad hobos and upon losing one actually felt sadness. Controlling the lives of this camp of hobos really makes you FEEL like you're a king of hobos. Actual fun and addicting game.

It is fun for a few hours, but quickly gets tedious. It is pricey for a such a short game. There really is not a story line and feels a lot like an incomplete game. For $5 it might be a good deal, but for $15 it is a rip off.

One of the games that can entice you at least for a couple of hours. In the game you have to play as a homeless person who has nothing at the very beginning. You have to defeat your opponents and pump your character. There are several classes in the game. It's up to you to decide for whom you will pass. Also, you have to monitor all indicators, such as hunger, freezing, etc., that need to be maintained, otherwise there is a chance that your character will die. Also, based on which class you have chosen, you will need to choose the right skills that can help you in the battle in the next. In the course of the game, events will appear - a sudden attack by police officers, other homeless people, a cold snap, a red moon, severe frost, and so on. To survive them, it is important to constantly monitor the indicators, otherwise you will lose. In general, excellent gameplay, a small portion of action and average system requirements will brighten up more than one of your evening.

I've been looking for a game to sink my time into and surprisingly this is the game which I will definitely complete and happy to come back to.

Pros:
- Great music.
- Addicting gameplay, even though you don't get to control hobos themselves, you can modify their behaviour on the battle streets as well as decide which abilities they can use.
- Quirky humour, kids and women gets same treatment (knuckle sandwich) as another hobo. I did had a laugh at many jokes/cameos and real world references.
- No wokeness, some people might get triggered, but personally I enjoy it.

Cons:
- No hotkey bindings, you can only select your hobos, however you can't speed up the time etc.
- Would be great to be able to create and customize your own hobo.
- Mid/late game becomes grindy and you cant pass later stages as you need to train many days to get higher tier abilities. Also, enemy hobos scale with your hobo levels, which farming fights and invasions can become impossible (probably just need to get good).
- Would be nice to have an option to speed up the fights.

To all people who complain about the difficulty, as soon as you figure out how to start maintaining your base it becomes easy. My hobo party died first few games (7-10 days), however my current party survived for 120+ days.

I hope developers are going to release either a sequel or an expansion set/DLC to improve this gem even more.
Overall rating 7/10, later on with improvements and more content it can reach 9/10. Would 100% recommend.

So I played the demo for about 30 hours and thought this game had promise and was excited to play the full game.

Now that the full game is out and I've played for about 5 hours, I have to say that I'm disappointed with the followings:

1. The difficulty is way too hard for this game mechanic.
2. The invasion battles still doesn't give you any award so the battles are pointless and annoying.
3. You can forget about trying to level up your character to be OP or be at an advantage. Cause the NPC pretty much match your level regardless.
4. Gameplay is repetitive in just trying to stay alive with getting food and keeping warm/clean. You pretty much can't do anything else.
5. Too much micro management.
6. The MOST annoying part is that you can't control who gets the food first. If one character is hungry and the other is starving, the hungry person gets the food, so the starving person is pretty much f'd.

So would I recommend this game? No. The concept is cool, but the mechanic and gameplay needs polishing.

#Homeless people are people too!

We're raising our own personal homeless fighter.
In a very difficult life situation, he has to eat something, dress somehow, follow somehow his hygiene and health.
At the same time his task is to become strong both physically and financially.

We have to help him do that!

Constant quests and different locations await us. We eat in dumpsters and shower in the rain. But the goal is only one thing - to become the toughest fighter!

I really like the plot of the game. There's a lot of humor and satire and really important decisions you have to make. The success of your main character will depend on it.

After a couple of hours in the game I realized... That the gameplay here is designed for many hours.
It's fun, it's interesting but not easy.

I played the demo and thought it was a very unique game. This game has a lot of potential and is pretty fun when things arent bugged, but having to restart my progress due to bugs, I am pretty bummed out at the release version.

The developers are working actively to resolve issues, but at its current state I do not feel the game is worth it.

There were trainers in the game that would not appear because a duplicate one of another would take its place instead, essentially locking you out from experiencing that content. It has now been fixed, but will require players to start from the very beginning and forego all their progress. I spent ten hours in the previous playthrough.

After the update, I had to start fresh in order to obtain one of the trainers, but my characters no longer receive experience from battles. At first i thought there was a hidden mechanic that i had to unlock in order to receive exp and i continued playing for another ten hours, but other players are encountering the same issue. Which means I will have to restart once again when the developers fix the problem since my hobos are going to be behind in levels.

The AI is not great either. When delegating tasks to your hobos in base, they will often need to eat and once they do, they won't resume their previous activity forcing you to manually select and order them again. It gets tedious and chaotic when you have multiple hobos to manage. During battle if there are bystander npcs, they sometimes get in the way and your hobos don't know how to go around them properly and get stuck moving back and forth. This often creates a 2v1 or 3v2 situation.

The learning curve is high and early game is difficult, but that's what made me like the game in the demo. There are different difficulty options now for those who are having trouble.

For those interested in the game, i would recommend to wait until a bigger discount, more improvements are added into the game and bugs are fixed. The problems I encountered should have been hashed out before release and not have players waste time having to restart and lose progress because a fresh restart is required to have changes take effect.

Not sure how this game has so many likes. I enjoyed the demo it was fun and dumb at the same time. Now that the game has came out nothing has changed it only has gotten worse.

1. Starting out during fights you can highlight the skills and they are hidden off screen so you can't see what they are using.
2. I have gotten stuck 2 to 4 times in my bed and I end up starving to death.
3. Hunger meter is broken I ate 2 things of soup that I cooked and still ended up dying not even a day later. (I also had the 20% hunger slow down on the straight tree.)

There's more, and they where all in the beta or whatever you want to call it. If you got the $13 to waist on it go ahead but I wouldn't expect the game to get better since there was no improvements since the beta I know I reported some of these and was never taken care of.
