Rediscovery of action shooting! We present to you GunZ 2: the Second Duel. GunZ 2 is an online action shooting game. GunZ 2 provides a whole new user experience that players have never seen from other games.

Completely unique action gameplay
In this game, there is no limit on how players move. In GunZ 2: the Second Duel, a wall is not an obstacle yet another path that provide tactical advantages. You no longer have to hide behind walls when you encounter your enemies. You can rather climb up the walls around you to take higher ground or move into enemies’ blind spot to launch vigorous assault.

Unique classes with various tactics and strategies
It’s absolutely up to players to choose which class to play. Unique classes are fitted with its own Passive and Active skills. Become a silent assassin wielding a long katana, roam around in the battle ground freely with a giant shield, or burn enemies with flame-thrower. The choice is completely up to you. (3 classes will be available at launch, more classes will be continuously be added)

In GunZ 2: the Second Duel, you can choose from 200 different weapons sorted into 13 different categories. Especially unlike conventional FPS games, GunZ 2 provides unique melee weapons which bring maximum strategic variety. Each class has its own ultimate skill that can dramatically rescue a friendly unit from danger.

Save the day with friends!
Play Campaign Mode to fight against the notorious mega corporation with super-national power. Fight against the enemies with action you can experience only in GunZ 2: the Second Duel.

Yet, it’s available for beginners!
Even though it is fitted with such powerful action, maneuvering your character in GunZ 2: the Second Duel is extremely easy. To run on walls, simply point your cross-hair to the desired direction and tap on the jump key rhythmically. Such simply control makes up incredible fast-paced stylish action.

Its for the OG gamers if your tired of easy click L2 then R2 for kills play this game for a little bit and youll learn to appreciate them more it requires great skill to compete in this game Still hoping to this day they make a kickstarter for newer and improved gunz games. reminds me of the old butterfly days <3

The simple but also technical combat style with minimal overlay and unique classes lead this to be a great online fighting game. The issue in GunZ 2 was the lack of development, failing servers, hackers, and a cesspool of poor matchmaking due to afkers or imbalanced teams. The game was simultaneously competitive but lacked a clear ranking system that would drive players to be motivated.

GunZ 2 promised to be a new fast-paced shooter and beat'em up and it looked very promising. Enticing players to stay and support the game was what mainly led to its downfall. The gameplay was actually great but issues that should be easy to fix quickly made this game shutdown.

I enjoyed this game while it had a multiplayer presence to speak of, without it, I can't say I recommend it.
Still, if you have a group of friends to play with I'd say give it a go.

Masangsoft fuck this hard.... I still waiting for them to remaster Gunz: The Duel..

I still remember when the game was first release and how k-style was first introduce and popularize by korean player name butterfly.... even once met and have a match with him.. seriously fun to see how fast I get butcher by his sword...

Still hope they remake it and apply a good anti-cheat into it..

What made Gunz the First duel great was the incomprehensable buggy mess that it was.

It objectively is a terrible game, but subjectively was an incredibly unique gemstone that players discovered. There were so many different ways to play it, Blizzard entertainment says they like to make games easy to play, hard to master. The first version of this was the definition of that and should be in the dictionary.

The second version of this game, this one here - fails to capture the spirit of the first. It becomes a class shooter with weaker customization.

It's not surprising given that the success of the first was hardly intentional, they even tried to patch it out at one point and had to revert following backlash. So, it's not at all surprising that they made the game they wanted to make and it wasn't as well received as the one they were forced to walk away from because everyone loved it the way it was.

I sincerely hope that they try to capture what made the first one great in some sort of sequel. It would have 20,000 players online in 06 when gaming was still rather nascent. Esports were in it's infancy, if not gestation.

Make Gunz 3, really capture the broken spirit of the first. Success will find you.

this game had so much potential to be one of the best. but the servers are just dead and no matter how good you internet is you just gonna keep lagging. i feel bad for it tbh in old days this used to be gold.

Keep supporting GunZ, Masang. One, or Two. It doesn't matter. Cultivate it like a god damn apple orchard. Tend the bugs. Add animation cancels to increase the skill cap, bring in quest mode. This game can grow, and it would grow if you'd just let it.

This is a great game and could be a esport, MAIET didn't let Gunz down, YOU GUYS did, instead of adapting to create a new kstyle on gunz 2 you cried and let this great game die.

The fact is you can still do animations glitches on Gunz , its a shame no one is on, its a fun fast paced great gunz game

after finishing the tutorial there is nothing else you can do.

i was the only player on the whole european server. there is no other server avaiable for me.

I had a blast while playing this game. It's too bad it didn't get more love. The campaign can't stand on its own, and it really shined in multiplayer - but the last few times I tried I saw no one online.

A real shame - I hope something similar comes along soon.

GunZ 1 was something unique. Everyone who played it loved it. It even added PvE for those of us that want to group up and kill some goblins.

I desperately want this game to make a comeback, it was so fun clearing all of the missions with randoms and learning all of the mechanics and boss fights.

I feel that this game has a strong combat foundation and possibly with updates + tweaks it could be amazing.
This game will beat you down, bad. But in a good and fun way, it makes you really wanna learn and conquer it. The PvE can be adjusted to be more casual friendly and implement a rank system for PvP.

However GunZ is still very much alive on private servers that you can discover through google, reddit, discord, etc
Come be a part of the community
as far as gunz 2 goes, this game is slow and clunky

Such a shame. All they needed to do was polish up the gameplay of the original and I would have loved it. However in the GunZ 2 we got the gunplay is boring and slower paced, character customisation is nothing like before and right now there are few players online.

Gunz 1 was an unique style game thanks of it´s glitches that the community adopted as actual features.

Gunz 2 has no useful glitches, and the features that tried to replace the useful glitches failed.

Perhaps they tried to improve things, but they ended up making everything worse, so worse this game does not deserve to be called Gunz 2, as it has nothing to do with Gunz 1.

This game was an experiment that failed, it is boring and overwhelmingly generical gameplay.

This game is pretty cool, but as I always say, the first 'The Duel' is better than this one. It's kinda sad, 'cause the game got everything to be better than the other 'cause of the change from the 'Level up' to 'Steam'. But I'd recommend it either way.

If you're here wishing and wanting to re live the early 2000s with Gunz 1 just leave. Gunz 2 is complete trash and nothing like the original. IM not sure how the devs got it this wrong. Very sad i give this game a 2/10. Plus its dead

I rather play the first game. The devs should bring their neglected child on to this platform.

Don't even bother playing if you're from EU or the US, the servers are region locked and barely anyone plays this second iteration.

The combat is waaay toned down from the first one, the combat feels more like a PvP hack-and-slash mixed with TPS, compared to the first one that had a competitive learning curve and fast paced, at least Devil May Cry had a interactive story for you to immerse yourself into it, this one is hollow at its worst, and the PvE (when it was still available) was uninspiring at best. Meh. Think of Warface PvE kind of deal.

Unless MAIET has a change of heart and brings their first game on to this platform, then I couldn't offer a better alternative beside enclosed community servers that run their unique version of the first game, like: Gunz the last Duel or Extra Gunz, and other plethora of private communities that still play, plan events and maintain the code and community as a whole.

The studio promised a bunch and delivered nothing, they shouldn't of reinvented the wheel.

GunZ 2: The Second Duel is what I imagine happened to all the characters of the First Duel. They got too tired to K-Style and tried to offset that by having WAY cooler outfits. Maybe they got osteoperosis from being injured so much and started listening to their physicians that they had to stop flying around.

Maiet had treated it's fans like garbage in the beginning and this game is also garbage. Probably closer to what they had originally envisioned .. Which means they didn't know how to adapt. And that's the core of K-Style that the developers were too blind to see.

Great game but shitty Dev. crew. This game is the game tht can meet to the level like CS but there is no Dev. Team who can run it properly. SAD

Not bad, the game is kinda funny at least in campaign mode, there is no one in multiplayer, please Masangsoft bring Gunz 1 to steam!

This game isnt bad, its actually kinda fun, i havnt played it for a while but when i did i put almost 60hrs into it before i stopped for whatever reason. i think the reason its getting so many bad reviews is because it isnt GunZ:The Duel. in my opinion GunZ:The Duel was a much better game and had a much higher skill cap... actually i dont think there was a skill cap you will never master everything. always improving, always learning new techniques and taking that into battle.

Please Re Release GunZ:The Duel, This game has potential but it doesn't target the same audience as the original, its more of a GunZ:The Duel Lite. i put 60 hours into this and i felt like i learned everything at the time. after years of daily play on GunZ:The Duel i knew i was no where near the best.

TLDR: This game is an easier version of GunZ:The Duel, Please Re Release GunZ:The Duel for the hardcore fans!
