ibb & obb is a two player cooperative game set in a puzzle filled world where gravity goes both up and down. You can only succeed by working closely together.

Find a friend for some true local co-op couch fun or match up online.

Fall up and jump down through 15 levels filled with double gravity puzzles and discover 8 hidden worlds that will test your new non-Newtonian skills to the maximum.

Ein wirklich cooles kleines Rätselspiel für dich und deinen besten Freund, aber das letzte LvL kann man sich echt schenken! Mit rätseln hat dieses LvL leider nicht mehr viel zu tun und ich finde es echt schade ein so cooles Spiel, so Bes***ssen enden zu lassen.

cute coop game. even for an experienced puzzle-like gamer it was still challenging at times. The secret levels are super hard and require a lot of precision and teamplay. The further you advance the more the precision playes a role. Also funny to play with completely non-gamers as the controls are super easy.
I found out ver late that you can draw/explain your path by using your mouse.

ist für eine entspannende abendliche Coop-Partie bestens geeignet. Es kombiniert Puzzle- und Sprungmechaniken gekonnt und sorgt durch seine farbliche Abstimmung für ein tolles Ambiente. Man ist stets darauf fokussiert, das nächste Hindernis zu bewältigen. Teamwork ist Pflicht und Konzeptration und Denken ebenfalls notwendig. Ein sehr tolles Spiel, vor allem zu einem rabattierten Preis sehr zu empfehlen.

ibb & obb is a very cute, charming, and colorful co-op puzzle platformer. The idea is straight forward - you must work with your teammate to navigate various terrains and help each other reach certain areas that are otherwise impossible to reach on your own, all the while collecting crystals and avoiding enemies. There are 15 levels and 8 bonus areas that vary in difficulty from straightforward to having to think quite creatively/coordinating very precisely. The last 4-5 levels are difficult in terms of 100%ing them, but are still fun to do. The game is best played via online co-op; remote play together works, but given the precision timing that's required in some areas, it can be finicky.

All in all, the game is a lot of fun and is a great co-op puzzle platforming option for people interested in the genre.

The highs are high and the lows are low. Some puzzle are super hard, some aren't puzzles, they just require you to become a platforming God. Good game. 5/5 obbs

*Warning: This review can be subjective.
It is really interesting and sarcastic to see the publisher of the game named the bundle of two copies 'Friends Forever Double Pack'. Yes, indeed, I should purchase the double pack initially and share the extra copy with someone else. Maybe there are many players still waiting to taste the sour of this game. So I give a thumb up without hesitation.

Graphics: (6/10)
If you only played one level, it can be 10/10. But if you played the entire game, you will appreciate (probably not) the beauty of uniformity and consistency.

Story: (0/10)
There is no story even to transit between levels.

Action: (6/10)
Two players need to collaborate intensively with precise and actuate control of the characters both in space and time to move forward. The game will have checkpoints in the middle of the level but may not be your expected location to revive.

Puzzle: (5/10)
Interesting at the beginning but not towards the end. The entire game relies on one mechanism (reverse gravity gate) to set up challenges. The puzzles/mazes can make you stuck for some time. But you may not feel fulfilled. Even you solved them by yourself. Similarly, there are no surprises if you check any guide when you are 'prisoned' in the level for a long time.

Music: (1/10)
Simply boring. One and only piece of rhythm is looped repeatedly for all the levels. The publisher sells an additional soundtrack separately for a reason. Sorry, I have an empty wallet.

Co-op Performance: (1/10)
Extremely high ping in the MP mode. It is fairly common to experience a lag in jumping. This issue gets magnified when two players need to coordinate and perform actions simultaneously. Everything becomes even worse later in the game, where there are more moving/chasing obstacles. Your partner may blame you for poor operations though it is not either player's fault. 'Friends Forever', remember?

Achievement Collection: (0/10)
You may need a second life to unlock all the achievements. Many levels of this game are attempting the limits of human beings. Why bother to do so? It can only ruin your own happiness.

Overall Rating: (3/10)
Please get the 'Friends Forever Double Pack' and share it. I am sure you will soon make more friends.

This game was wonderfully fun. Aside from some lag issues nearing the end of the play through, my friend and I spent almost 8 hours conquering this game. It's fairly challenging but far from impossible, the style is adorable and my friend had a specific enjoyment squishing the locals. Just make sure you play with someone who wont give up after the 3rd attempt (or the 50th).

9th September, the last day we used to play this game together. For 5.5 hours it was precious.

Still remember you tried to draw heart in the game (it was so cute ^^) surrounding us - you wanted to be ibb, but it turns out that I am always ibb, smh

Ibb and Obb is a deceptively challenging two person puzzle game. This is the perfect kind of game to play if two fluent gamers want to play a challenging co-op game long distance.
I would say the one downside to such a game like this is the technical mastery it requires to complete the later levers. Even when you get the goal, completing this is not as easy as just pushing some buttons. The reason this is considered a downside is that the platforming required does not often entice many puzzle gamers, and causes arguments between players when too much time is spent on the same challenge.
The game does a beautiful job of communicating mechanics, goals, and failure to players without even saying a word. One does not need to worry about not knowing what the game needs from you to complete a main-level challenge. The game also features a mouse-tracing line so players can point pathing and ideas to each other, eliminating the need for couchside screen-pointing.
I would reccomend this game for people who can endure platforming frustrations and want to bond with another person who also has the patience to platform. For people looking for a genuine challenge in co-op, this game will appeal to you.

A really great little game, the puzzles and the platforming were both sufficiently challenging. The online play also works surprisingly well. The artstyle and music were also a good touch.

My only criticism is the white collectible gems serve basically no purpose. In order to actually get all of them the levels would become atleast 4-5 times more difficult and collecting only some of them gives no rewards so unless you REALLY like this game and want to spend a lot of time grinding for 100% the gems are just a weird distraction from the rest of the game.

I would definitely recommend this game if you enjoy platformers and medium difficulty puzzles.

It has a cute style, and this game is fun and a nice casual co-op *at first*, but once you get into the the difficulty ramps up and i think it is too hard if you are looking for a game to play with people who are casuals, which is what i wanted from this game.

Fun little brain teaser to play with a friend. The secret extra level can be really hard, the main game is doable. Im really not a puzzle expert, but we still managed to get through it smoothly. Beware though, it does need some jumping skills, so playing it with someone who is new to jumping games might be frustrating.

This is, simply put, one of the hardest jump'n runs I ever encountered. It is so in a very different way than most other jump n runs. First of all, the cooperative play is the cornerstone of this game. An interesting level design with two different gravity zones creates a new JnR gaming experience. Although the frustration of trying to puzzle out demoralizingly difficult problems is indeed a fact, the level of satisfaction for solving those puzzles is extreme. Highly recommended, but definitely not for casual gaming!

Just got to the end - full 100% completion after 4 years of on and off playing! Really cool game and many good hours spent scratching our heads and feeling a sense of achievement when we had finally figured each puzzle out! Would massively recommend as a great game to play with a friend :D

Me and my son traditionally play a coop puzzler on New Year's Eve and this time it was ibb & obb.
Even though we had some screens that we had to rack our brains (for at most 15 minutes) we managed to finish it in about 4 hours which is just the right length for us.
That of course doesn't include any extras.

We felt challenged to the right degree and well entertained.
The art style was appealing and the sound design very atmospheric.
The controls were straightforward and felt responsive.

The only technical issue we had was heavy stuttering when playing with vsync enabled on a TV screen via HDMI.
We solved it by force disabling vsync for the game in the AMD Radeon Software.

Since two player coop puzzlers are rather scarce I'm thankful for every good contribution to the genre and ibb & obb is definitely one!

My girlfriend bought us this game. Starts out very interesting, with enjoyable puzzles but then turns into a frustrating mess of networking issues (lags, glitches and even clones (???) of players) and tedious challenges, which you have to complete all in one take. Also, even though it has a lot of little checkpoints within every level, it does not save them between sessions - you have to start the level at the beginning.

I don't find it fun or the co-op fun. It's more like a series of puzzles that are frustrating and after being solved are not satisfying. You just go to another one. I don't recommend this to anyone

The S&S ~ Tells you nothing and you just get started in a beautiful, chill cooperative puzzle platformer. Great choice to play with a non-gamer partner because controls are easy and puzzles are simple but JUST hard enough to not feel dull.

I don't write serious reviews often, but I just want to talk about how disappointed I was by this game. The first half of it was amazing. The co-op puzzles were very fun and satisfying to solve, and it had brilliant level design that gradually introduced the nuances of each gimmick. But in the second half, the puzzle aspects get dialed down in favor of platforming challenges, where the co-op aspect often feels like an afterthought. My friend and I often got stuck in later levels, not because we were stumped by a puzzle, but because dodging an enemy required stupidly precise movement (magnified by the fact that if one player dies, the other instantly dies too) and gravity bubble segments where you both have to complete it at the same time if you don't want to fight against the camera. Once the game introduced a darkness gimmick we just gave up and decided it wasn't worth completing. This game could've been amazing, but instead it was just saddening. But at the end of the day, that first half was a fun time, and I recommend it just for that, but I sincerely wish the rest of the game maintained that same design.

This is a really fun game. I only wish they made it possible to play solo with a single controller. It was extremely fun and challenging to play this game on the PS3 version with one controller. Also, if they ever make a sequel. It may be a good idea to allow players to skip hard sections.

Great coop game, a real emphasis on the cooperation which I personally really like :)
It's very fun, well thought and challenging.
Perfect game for couples too!

This has probably become my favourite game. The characters are utterly adorable and I love having to work together with my boyfriend to play this game. Even the moments you have to pause to think to understand how it works are so worth it given the satisfaction of finishing the level. The music is equally lovely and I find the whole experience very happy and enjoyable. I hope I can continue playing this for a long time and replay every level together. I would highly recommend this game and if you do get it: have fun and good luck!!!!

Recommended. A quite fun co-op puzzle platformer. Also good for warm up relationships between you and your friend/spouse etc. It is also very cute. It will be hard if the latency between you and your friend are high though.

A lovely co-op platformer, very challenging at times specially if your going for 100%. I found the music is calming and relaxing, the gameplay is precision platforming with puzzles which some are hard some are simple that took us ages to figure out. We was playing through remote play which did cause abit of lag and one or two crashes but overall it is a very charming game that i enjoyed.

Really fun with a friend.
At first it starts with great friendship
After your friend makes a few timing mistakes, you laugh together
After repeating the same error on the same puzzle, and he apologizes, you just want to yell at him
But how worth it is when you end the game and you decide to delete your friend contact for ever for the little d33psh!t he is for playing like that

10/10 would put my friendship in peril again !

One of the best puzzle Coop-games on Steam.
This game has it all: soundtracks, graphics, gameplay, intuitive controls.
You will surely have so much fun playing this game doing all kind of things. Running, jumping, thinking, tryin and failing...try it for yourself!

Nice presentation but Ibb & Obb has led to far more frustration than fun during both of my attempts to play it. Moreso for my co-op partners than myself, but I'm not gonna force someone to try to enjoy a game they're not enjoying.

Ibb & Obb also just feels fairly mediocre to me. It's simplistic to a fault. The puzzles get very tired after a few different iterations and the platforming mechanics are neither interesting nor refreshing for the genre. Overall, Ibb and Obb is a cute game that requires a bit too much patience and persistence for what is a pretty unremarkable and unexciting experience throughout.

For $5 you'll have a chance at getting your money's worth depending on you and your co-op partners' expectations. Either that or you'll find yourself frustrated, bored or a mix of both. Can't really recommend.

My Experience

I actually started playing ibb & obb with a friend like six months ago. We immediately found the visual design to be charming and the gameplay design to be clever.

However, and perhaps this is just me, I find puzzle games like this to be exhausting. In your more traditional AAA action/adventure games, you'll have an action segment, then a puzzle segment, then an action segment, etc. In ibb & obb, it's just puzzle after puzzle after puzzle. So, instead of the game itself managing the pacing, you'll need to manage it yourself. For me, this meant only playing ibb & obb in 30 minute to 1 hour increments. In addition, it could be one of the reasons that my co-op partner and I would put the game down for weeks at a time.

Additionally, please note that there is quite a bit of platforming in ibb & obb. It is much more of a puzzle-platformer than a pure puzzle game. There were multiple sections that required precise timing and movement to navigate, and these were difficult even after you figured out what you were supposed to do. The execution itself could be a roadblock.

Although ibb & obb seems to be a well-designed puzzle game, I can't claim to have really enjoyed my time with it that much. I'll give it a recommendation though, because it could be that I just don't like the puzzle game genre very much.

This game is.... it's something. If you can play this game with your significant other I recommend that you marry them. If you play this game with a friend I believe you'll build a very strong bond. This game was well... an experience, even when you figured out the puzzles the timing, and the trust with timing was difficult, especially when I was drunk.

I never want to reply this game but beating it was an accomplishment of it's own.

It is pretty fun! So basically you can play with two people or one! You control them with WASD and the arrow keys for the other one! It is super fun!
