Liebe/r Liftoff Herrsteller

Gestern konnte ich mein Taranis x9d plus Controller einstecken und konnte die calibrierung machen für Liftoff.
Heute wollte ich wieder üben und der ganze Scheiss funktioniert nicht mehr. Wie dumm muss man sein dieses Programm so zu entwickeln das man für 1 Tag spielen kann?

Was soll der Dreck, absolute Geld verschwendung für das Spie.

Very nice for training. I would recommend it the only con is that the phyics arent real. There is no Gravity. Butvery nice to get used to the steering and how to basically fly.

Für interessierte und Einsteiger in die Quadrocopter Welt kann ich das Game empfehlen.
Meiner Meinung nach ist es die Beste Sim für einen guten Preis.

Allerdings benötigt man definitiv einen RC-Flug-Sender um überhaupt präzise fliegen zu können.

Pretty Good drone flight sim for learning, definitely needs more maps though, I wish they would open it up to modded in maps so the community could make maps for it so that the developers don't have to do it. and it can be done like BeamNG.Drive where new maps can be downloaded from the steam workshop. It could become an incredible game

Definitely worth it! I use my TX16S as a controller, the physics are quite realistic. This sim helps improve your skills with flying fpv drones without the frustration of costly crashes in real life, also it certainly is great for those rainy days.

This game is sick. Totally worth it even if you're gonna play it for an hour and forget about it afterwards. After all, the alternative is buying an actual drone.

I was wondering if Liftoff emulated the FPV experience as well. Turns out it does.

This game saved me tons of crashes and countless battery charges to learn basic flight mechanics with xbox controller , all the way to advanced freestyle tricks with a real radio controller.

This game always updating and new things to test as i learn new things. Glad to have a realistic simulator for once where skills actually translate to a real life activity. If you're not using a 1 for 1 input device , its hardly considered a simulator after experiencing what it should be like but you can decide if its for you or not after a few hours with game controller you'll either love it or hate it.

There is a steep learning curve like Rust or other open world games, but once you master the basics of flight, you can basically do anything you want even flying IRL you can just do things you've never tried because it feels the same as in game.

Maps are so small its not funny!!!! at least give us maps that have a realistic transmitter distance like the golf course one.. goggle noise is not realistic to drone position its just pointless having it on.. pointless trying to customise your drone as very little choice of different parts and no noticeable effect with the parts there... throttle not realistic very dead response the stick is half way up for a hover on real ones its nearer quarter throttle for hover ... graphics are nice for a sim the trees have good collision physics. shame so close but so far from me liking this its just boring me.. PLEASE more maps more distance better drone Physics better customisation. ... Velocidrone I like the internet radio option to get into the flow again small maps very floaty... DRL nice but very small choice on maps better gravity than Velocidrone lack of maps kills Drl for me.. Liftoff has the most aggresive gravity maps are just shit drone drifts sideways so bad loads of throttle needed

A good sim , but the loading times are ridiculous . DRL and DCL load 10x faster , it's so slow my controller starts beeping at me for being inactive . Can't recommend due to this

It may not be a perfect representation of your actual quad but it will get your brain forming the correct neural pathways before you inflict yourself on your real quad. It did the trick for me. My Crocodile 7 is still in one piece

my background..engineer, aero grad, been flight simming since the mid 1980s..yes before 9600baud modems,..,dial up, broad band..flight simulator 95, longbow in dos, novalogic, janes series..you name it..and flown RC fixed wings, gas, glow, nicad, nimh, lipo, turbine, rc helis 3d helis, micro, large scale..drones..and ive tried velocidrone, DRL, liftoff and tinywhoop GO. im into tiny whoops and TWGo is better than Velocidrone and DRL but Liftoff is by far the best drone simulator available.
its not a matter of preference for one or the other at all..despite the reviews that say that it is..one for freestyle and one for racing and so on..liftoff smashed those others in every area.
dont even bother getting anything but liftoff..if i dare give a shout out to TinyWhoopGO..its amazing for a free product and really the only micro drone sim around as of may 2021. cant wait for liftoff to release micro drone version.

I have almost all simulators on all platforms . no physics engine and realism comes close to Liftoff .. on top of that track builder and drone modifier could be little better .. but in short this is the best drone simulator the money can buy as of 5th of match 2021

Use it for real life quad racing training....once a week for about half hr to hr.
Its great. Obviously real quad handles a little different and more skin in game when you crash and have to go get it...but u use the tools u have

If you're like me and you like the idea of just flipping drones around doing crazy stunts without fear of destroying a very expensive drone and dont want to dip 30k into a hobby, you'll like this! Plug in a PS4 or Xbox controller, calibrate it right, and have some quick fun whenever you wanna just dick around.

If you are already invested heavily into drone racing, and are to the point where you yourself are technically involved with how each motor is tuned, how much everything weighs to the 0.001th place, and are the kind of person who makes your drone flight controller PCB from scratch, you will *LOVE* this game because of the fact that you get everything out of the gate upon purchase and are able to tweak and expiriment to your hearts content without dumping more money or breaking anything.

The community is adding a ton of content as it goes along, and the price is fair for what you get.

I bought this game and began practicing open world to learn to fly. I was able to take to the air on a real drone and fly without damaging it or crashing on my first real world outing and even do some flips. It has been good to experience in the sim how to expect the drone to react to control inputs. Despite the real experience not being exact it is easy to feel out the differences quickly. The general character and behavior as learned is correct. A great tool.

In less than 24 hours of flying around in the sim i have the confidence to approach flying a real acro mode fpv drone. Due to the steepness of the learning curve, this sim has opened the hobby to me without the painful process of learning what i have already with a real drone and repeatedly incurring damage and potentially needing expensive replacement drone parts given how much i crashed those first many hours. Highly Suggested.

Purchased in early access. Good gameplay. Works with Flysky and Taranis but needed usb-cable for flysky separate from firmware cable. Learned to fly better here. Worth the funds.
Cool levels and race modes tracks. Online multiplayer races too!

This is hands down the best fpv simulator to learn freestyle or racing. It's great for both beginner, intermediate, and expert level pilots. I had been flying for 2 years before trying liftoff. After purchasing it, my flying has never improved so fast. I built a quad similar to what i fly and dialed in the rates, now everything i learn on the sim translates over to my real quads. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a good fpv simulator, for racing and freestyle.

Please make it SteamVR compatible for HMD headsets or a 3D SBS/TaB video output for HDMI monitors/TVs. There's no FPV simulator with this feature. I need it so bad!

One of the best implementations of FPV outside of the real world (From every aspect that I can think of).
As a simulator/learning tool it is absolutely impressive and it is highly recommended to anybody getting started. As a game it offers hours of entertainment at whatever level you want to perform.
The maps are well designed and feature some real life locations that you may already be somewhat familiar with. The interface is very user friendly and the setup of the controller is one of the best configurator implementations as well. This is my favorite SIM by far.

This game is the only convincing simulation of drone physics outside of a dedicated simulator.

It seems that the developers did not intend Liftoff to be a simulator of all things RC. For that you have Realflight and AccuRC2. Instead it focuses with razer sharp clarity on drone racing, and uses some superb physics and good graphics on the area of drones only. No helos, no internal combustion engines, just pure 'through-the-goggles' drone racing.

Its a niche within a niche, but it does it brilliantly. It has physics that equal that of AccuRC2 (a superb all-round RC simulator), but with far better graphics and genuinely compelling gameplay. Too many RC sims fail to offer a compelling experience, but Liftoff works on the level of a simulator and is a cracking game in its own right. RC sim developers take note - this is how it should be done.

You will need a proper controller to get the best out of it. I would recommend the Interlink controllers that come with Realflight as they are easy to setup and USB controlled. I'm no expert on controllers and I'm sure there are many options, but don't use a standard game controller as their mechanisms are not suited for this kind of sim.

I haven't raced drones, but I have flown them and I have spent a lot of time flying RC helicopters. Its very difficult to get the feel of RC flying right. The way RC machines slip through the air and squirm rather than settle down, even with onboard computer control, is the reason why they are so hard to master. Liftoff nails the feeling of a squirming, agile, nimble high-speed flyer. Best of all, its gets the 'heft' of it right. I can't explain it - its a feeling.

Physics for this sort of thing is very hard to do. Liftoff gets it right. By contrast, the awful DCL (a bigger budget drone racer) gets the feel so wrong its shocking.

You just know when a sim is right. And this is right.

So what are you waiting for? If you love RC flying, or want to experience what it really feels like, then buy it. Buy it right now. A sim this good deserves our support. You won't regret it.

As a complete drone noob, i decided to buy a cinewhoop as some DJI goggles, without ever having played with a drone. If it hadn't been for this simulator, i would have spent 10.000$ in lost, crashed, mauled and drowned drones by now.

If you have absolutely no drone experience, like i had, i would recommend the following approach:

1. Investigate the market for the drone you want (don't buy yet)
2. Buy the remote controller you want, which fits the drone
3. Buy LiftOff and practice with your controller
4. When comfortable with controlling the a drone in the SIM, go and buy one in the real world.
5. Praise this game for saving you a lot of trial and errors, that would have cost you a lot of money...

Big thumbs up for this game. I highly recommend it...

This has been essential to learning FPV. I put in about 10 hrs of sim flight before I flew my 5-inch drone for the first time (had no crashes thankfully). I find the sim to do a great job at having a realistic feeling of flight.

I highly recommend anyone interested in learning FPV to download this and play prior to flying

ONLY buy this game if you have or plan to have an FPV control box, otherwise is borderline unplayable with an Xbox/PS4 controller.

From what i could see/experience:
-Very well made visually
-Mechanics are unforgiving
-Very customizable crafts/controls (could make one of them controlable - barely-)
-Runs smoothly (6th gen i5, GTX 1650, 20GB of ram)

I'm already a cyclist, unfortunately I can't have 2 expensive hobbies. :/

Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing seems like one of the better drone sims I have played overall mechanically it seems good, I did hit a few spots where I felt my performance dip for no discernible reason but nothing to the point it effected my game play much. If you are into drones id give this a look, I am glad a got a free weekend to see it.

Fairly accurate simulator, good variety of parts to customize your drone similarly to a real FPV drone, and the PID tuning is pretty spot on! It's nice to do some freestyling and the racing tracks are pretty solid as well. It would be cool to see a preview of the track before having to load it in though. Well worth the money especially if you're considering getting into FPV drones!

Splendid simulator!
I used this to to learn flying acro mode. I can't even begin to imagine how many crashes and broken quad-copters this saved me :)
Native and flawless Linux support is also much appreciated.

The only thing that's missing for me are rough terrain mountain and canyon levels.

When I started I could not complete a single lap of any map. I was lucky to make it through a gate. After about 6 months of playing though I had completed every race on all tracks. Now I just try and get my times better. I'm still pretty slow but at least I'm in control (most of the time).

Thanks to the continued updates and added content I've yet to get bored playing it. I also have over 20 custom built and tuned quads and have even created a few of my own tracks.

Probably most importantly, it has helped me in rl fpv, I only fly freestyle, and I don't fly no where near as crazy as I do in game but there's no doubt my experience in Liftoff has saved me hundreds of dollars in broken props and smashed parts.
