Account Cleanup Policy - Banned Account Removal
[p]As we approach the NA West and NA East merge this October, we’re implementing a comprehensive cleanup of permanently banned accounts to optimize our systems and improve the overall experience for legitimate players. Starting this week, we will begin removing accounts that meet specific criteria related to violations and ban duration.[/p][p][/p]Which Accounts Are Being Affected:
- [p]Accounts with bot-related permanent EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) bans that have been in place for over 365 days[/p][/*]
- [p]Accounts with permanent bot-related penalties that have been in place for over 365 days[/p][/*]
- [p]Only accounts with permanent bot related violations - temporary bans and active accounts are not affected[/p][/*]
Timeline and Maintenance Impact
[p]This account removal process will begin this week and continue leading up to the region merge. Players should be aware that some of our scheduled maintenances may run longer than usual as we work through this cleanup process. We’re breaking it up to avoid one extremely long downtime, especially as we keep the downtime for Region Merge in mind. We will provide updates on extended maintenance windows as they occur.[/p][p][/p]Why We’re Making This Change
[p]We’re implementing this policy for several key reasons that will benefit our active community:[/p]- [p]Database Optimization: By reducing the volume of permanently banned account data, we’re streamlining what needs to be migrated during the region merge, which will help ensure a smoother transition process.[/p][/*]
- [p]Performance: We want to maintain highest standards for account security and system performance.[/p][/*]
