but the remaster itself is awful tho , it's the same game from 2002 but with new models (that look like shit) and overall it just looks like shit even at 1080p with some adjustments on the Nvidia control panel, i have to adjust the resolution back everytime i open the game, and it has some compatiblity issues with windows 10.
I'm going to play it anyways, but i'm dissapointed that this port from 2011 has 90's game support tier, don't buy it.

-none of the cutscenes (even the main menu) were changed to 16:9 aspect ratio. They all remain 4:3 which causes a strange switch between the two in battles like the one against Zizzy Balooba
-speaking of Zizzy Balooba, his model was not redone at all??? I mean this is supposed to be a remaster. It's a lazy one at best since the only things that have changed are the model textures. The fact that they failed to retexture the final boss is appalling.
-the game could have really used a complete refresh. The levels arent that complicated. They could have gotten newer textures for all the surfaces and made the game look better.
-Kurt is brown now(?), I'm all for diversity but his skin tone hasnt even been changed in the comic introduction and ending of the game.
The new models just look out of place in a low poly world. If all the levels had been remade it would have been a thumbs up from me.

I was wrong.
Higher polygon models for the main characters (Kurt, Max, Dr, and bosses) and the rest are plain old characters from the original, and texture goes the same.
Some animations are played in the original 4:3 screen with black bars on each side for 16:9 monitors, and occational sound glitch, that you will have to exit the game and re-run to bring the sound back to normal.
Don't get this game, instead get the original MDK 2.

But the HD port has frame rate problems, VERY glitchy, and some parts (like mini-games) are SD.
Plus parts of the game can be very very irritating (and very hard).
ATI users might have to check the forums on how to get the game to work
Buy with CAUTION!!!!

The game looked great for its time, and much of that has translated well into this HD remake. The textures have been revamped, the models improved, and the audio is less tinny than it used to be.
It plays and runs great, and the core of the gameplay remains untouched if you don't choose the new easy/extra hard difficulties.
A game with great humor and just a pervasive oddness throughout.

In 2000, a sequel came out for the PS2, Dreamcast and PC. This game, while written by a different team, still held up well in spite of feeling a bit different overall from the original. This change in writers came with a requisite change of tone - Whereas MDK1 was a very surreal game and derived much of it's humor from that, MDK2 loves it's refuge in audacity, and has a very action movie feel to it. For example, in few other games will you see a Robotic Dog with a Chain Smoking habit quad-wield miniguns? In spite of the different writing, MDK2 still was a good game simply by virtue of being fun as hell to play.
In 2011, Overhaul Games brought MDK2 up to speed. The new models and textures look very good and the game is solid as ever, and the System Requirements are modest as ever (Though you're still gonna need newer hardware to play the HD flavor). My only real gripe? Overhaul did not put much effort into making the game make bettr use of widescreen. Most UI elements (such as the zoom on Kurt's sniper rifle) are still in 4:3, causing a fair deal of letterboxing. This does not make the game any less playable, mind, but is more of a presentation nitpick than anything.
