Would definitely recommend playing this game! It's quite unique take on RTS games. I absolutely love how the campaign mode and it's story progresses. It keeps the player engaged and wanting to play the game more. The endless strategic possibilities and different types of weapons make the game even more interesting. The art in the game is amazing and the world that has been created is extremely engaging!

I played this the previous time when it was still in its Early Access stage. Of course, since the game was still under
production it had a few kinks in it.
I played the game again recently. And I'll say this, This is one game that has really come together to become something
work putting your time and money into.

It's *fine*. Unfortunately that's all it is. Really not worth the pricetag. Maybe about half the price it would be worth it for a throwaway couple of hours, but nothing more.

Although this game has a learning curve, it is pretty addictive once you get into it. Pretty music, gameplay and graphics so far. The AI and tutorials need some work though, but definitely see potential here and look forward to the campaign and updates!

Miner's Mettle feels like nothing in its category... The game is extremely detailed, especially in terms of artwork! Eagerly waiting for the campaign mode, would definitely recommend!

Reminds me of Worms in a way but in 3D and a more 'serious' tone. Looking forward to seeing the campaign and what other new features and mechanics come in.

The game is WAY too expensive for what's actually in it. The game lacks much gameplay, and units can't attack enemies on their own, which is incredibly unfair against an AI that can literally attack with all units at the same time, not to mention with much greater accuracy. The speed at which your mouse moves while aiming is INCREDIBLY slow, and keeping track of enemy units is difficult due to the long loading time of the recon ability, and the speed of the enemy. They tend to leave the area of your recon orb within seconds, and your cannon takes a good 15 seconds between shots. You're only one person, and you have to babysit your units. The AI can control many units at once, since their units have actual AI. You have to buy buildings and wait for resources to do anything, the AI doesn't. They just spawn on their tracks and barrage the shit out of your base. The game needs lots of work and rebalancing to make it worth 30 USD. It's just way too expensive... especially for its current state. If it were cheap to begin with, but then became more expensive as it became a more complete game... then sure. But right now I feel like I spent 30 USD on a demo...

I found this gem after about 500 Explore my queue's for a new game to play and ignoring all the Japanese Anime BS and sex games. I don't understand why it's not getting publicity??

Miner's Mettle brings you back to the old days as a child playing games like Artillery, Missile Command Atari games but in a new 3D world like Command and Conquer/Starcraft/Warcraft strategy game with a twist of Railroad Tycoon.
While still a new game, a few bugs that are not game breaking that I could find, it's phenomenal.

I’m a pretty harsh critic of games, most reviews I write are mostly negative reviews of developers making costly mistakes, I’m a seeker of the next best thing, this game has potential to be one of the most played games in the market, and there is definitely some E-Sports potential here, Maybe it’s not for kids looking for pokeball’s in the desert or a teenager whacking it to anime adult porn games but it is definitely a game for some thinking humans who enjoy critical thinking, making the right decisions and enjoying a little combat to be better than the opponent, So what are you waiting for?
You want to make the right decision? Buy the game, support the developers who CARE about the community and their game, because I made the right decision based on their involvement with this community, FINALLY developers who provide results and listen to their community. They have a bright future ahead of them and potentially a great game that could also prove to be a big money maker.

Definitely recommend !
But let's be honest here, it's early access and it fits the status of the game completely, threre are a couple of issues which would require change as soon as possible.
However, the devs are incredibly responsive, they do listen to the community and as a result, the game is already much much much better than it originally was.
A lot of work was already put into the game and a lot more is incoming.

This said, the game's title isn't too catchy and doesn't really reflect what the game really is.

You start the game by controlling manually controlling a train (you can control more than one later), the map is divided between the track of your opponent and your track.

The goal is to utterly destroy your opponent or at least survive waves.

You will need to travel around your track and dock to mines to build mining facilities, collect ores and bring them back to your HQ. There is also another spot you can use to build a specific building which will help you like radars.

You will use that ore to start research (new weapons, speed and whatnot) and upgrade your train (called an AMP) and build more defenses. Each building is protected by a force field which will make them hard to destroy and also protect you while you are docked to build, upgrade, repair or collect ores.

You can move freely on the track and control the speed of your AMP, change direction, change track direction and get a sattelite view to help you fight the enemy.

Basically, fighting works as in an artillery game...
The map is always covered with fog of war but when an enemy or you fire, you will produce noise which will be clearly indicated on the map. This is when you will be able to use your recon ability to launch a projectile which will show you the area for a couple seconds and you can then fire.
Each time you fire, you have to take into account the wind which can make your projectile miss, firing right now use a bowstring but it is going to disapear. Your firing range is also limited so you do have to travel near the opponent to be able to hit it.

And that's pretty much it. The concept is quite inovative, it works pretty well and it will get a lot better in the future.
If you're scared to purchase the game right away becaue of the early access tag, I advise you to keep it in a corner and wait for it to evolve until the development reach a more advanced point because the game is pretty unique and quite beautiful.
Right now controlling and managing the trains can be a bit tedious and not really easy to master but I think we can trust the devs team to find a solution to the problems.

TL:DR - WAIT FOR FURTHER UPDATES

While admittedly I was sceptical to this game, it having mixed reviews, I am afraid my low expectations were still set way too high. While I understand this game is Early Access, there are multiple blank descriptions of potentially important elements, and controls don't seem to work as intended [RMB version]. When it comes to actual combat control from strategic menu, clicking and dragging the mouse also seems to be a bit... weird when you take into account the strategic map showing where the estimated shell is to hit. Both lead to enforced babysitting of units, which is heavily undesirable in what is supposed to be artillery/RTS game. While Artillery part seems to be done, the strategy part needs way too much work for it to be valid. Due to few of my personal past experiences with early access titles with such jarring problems being abandoned, I am not willing to risk it with this title for now. It is worth noting that one of key points of advertisement [unit customisation], is currently in development for 'somewhen in the future'. As that is supposed to be one of core mechanics I will consider reacquisition of this game after more video feedback from general population. At this point - I'd prefer not to risk it. This game does have quite a bit of potential, though only time will tell if this potential is fulfilled.

I like how the game has minimalistic control for units, where they traverse over a fixed path, kind of reminds me of physical board games where i have to move my pieces. I would like to see efforts at reducing micro management over time so I can control the units more comfortably, being able to do things like patrol a route or carry minerals back and forth on their own.

The in-game music also feels good and complements the chosen factions. The maps are also unique between different biome types and look good, but feel a bit sparse at the moment, they can also be improved with some weather effects that could add some visual/auditory ambiance to the game, hopefully that will change overtime.

I hope they polish the game and it becomes a unique board game like RTS, that requires low APM and doesn't get too overly complicated, and reminds me of playing board games with my friends.

It's a very interesting concept and it's fun for the amount of content it provides. There are things that need improvement, for sure. With new updates and some more time in the oven, I think it can be awesome. It's also very cheap so, can't complain much.

The game is really fun to play. The maps are cool and visually its good. i manage to play single player and some match online too. Yes the game is little buggy right now but hey! its a early access. hope the bugs will be sorted out soon. Friendly developers, quick answer and help got on discord channel. Playing RTS with the Trains, mining and blowing up the other trains, loved the idea. Waiting for next update.

Artillery on armored rails is a cool design and it's interesting to see a game that's quite different than other RTS games out there. The game is quite buggy at the moment but still playable. I hope the devs are coming up with patches because this game has a lot of potential.

The mouse iscnot aligned and there is an considerable input delay. Moving units doesn't work and there is various icons without explanations. Radar and aiming is srly bugged and instead of simply clicking the map to activated the skill you have to drag it, that's already preety bad, but it's even worse because it's inverted.
