This one's great and unlike Virtual Villagers franchise it goes on sale ocasionally. It's pretty much the same type of game but this one has randomly generated islands and thus more replayability. Best thing about these types of games is you don't even have to play them to progress.

This game is so fun and cute. I played it all through my child hood and now as a adult its still as charming as it was then. The art style is calming and the game play is a stress reliever.
I love this game and I wish there was more content but its a older game. Its wholesome I recommend 10/10.

i had this game on my grams laptop, and fell in love with it. the whole reason i made a steam account was to play this game! i celebrated their accomplishments and mourned their deaths. i hope when/if you play this game you have as fun as i did. and if the creator is reading this, thank you for countless hours of fun!

I wish there was a neutral option for reviews. I enjoy this game, however my enjoyment largely comes from nostalgia.
I used to play this as a child (before it was added to Steam) and so when I saw it here on Steam I had to pick it up again.
I was then confronted with how bare bones the game actually is.
Do I still enjoy this game? Yes! But can I really say it is worth the (non-sale) price? Not really.
The game is only really drawn out due to how long it takes for islanders to actually complete tasks. The truth is, the list of things you are actually able to do is relatively small, so the real enjoyment comes from seeing your island grow and your islanders level up.
I would love to give this game a recommendation, but I can't do that when it feels so short and doesn't really justify its price.
If you catch it on sale and you like very simple games you can do whilst multi-tasking, then pick it up, sure! But if you don't have a specific attachment to this title, and aren't a fan of somewhat idle games then I would look for something else similar.

My Tribe is a casual simulation game, it's also real-time, where you have complete control of your tribes lives. I started playing this game around 2009 or 2010(released in 2008) on Big Fish Games which annoyingly I always managed to lose the password AND if I did for some reason the BFG version eventually(2018ish) started to glitch and crash, when I found it here on Steam I was so happy to finally be able to enjoy a game from my childhood, with this version there's no glitching or crashing so you can enjoy hours of fun. I honestly love this game and recommend it to anyone who will listen.

If you're a Mac user, this game won't work even though it says it's for Mac. I believe the last version this worked on for Mac was a version from about 5 years ago? This needs to be updated or have the Mac version completely removed from the store. I actually bought this game a few years ago and was one of the Mac users that fell under this problem of spending 10 dollars and not getting the game because the developers only made it for Snow Leopard and under I believe. Anyway, for a few years until I finally bought myself a windows running computer this game didnt work

Now that I've got it to work, the game works well and it's nostalgic since I played this game back in 2009. It's a game you can visit every few hours or once a day to make sure the people in your tribe are doing the right thing and to guide them. As of current I've been stuck in a part of just waiting to get enough science points to progress so it's gotten pretty slow. I still reccomend this though if you like these types of games, where you only play about 15-30 minutes at a time and come back later for the results.

Again, IF YOU ARE MAC DON'T GET IT. It is only compatable with Snow Leopard I believe or Lion

Your tribe decides to set sail to a new island. Your mission:

* keep your tribe alive (in other words, keep ordering to make babies because they won't do it themselves).
* Train their skills: Woodcutting, rock gathering, fishing, agriculture, science, art and construction
* collect all trophies
* Solve the eight mysteries (that's a trophy too, by the way)

The game actually continues when you exit the game, so keep checking on them every so often (though you can pause this option if you don't play very often).

What I personally like the least about the game is that there isn't really an ending to the game. Once you collected the trophies it's just done. There is no bonus or what so ever for completing them all, nor is there some sort of ending to that little bit of storyline they give in the beginning in the game. But all and all it's a fun game.

If you try to run this game on Mac, you will be greeted with a black screen and the main menu music. You can't see where you click and no matter what buttons you press, the game won't exit (unless you're lucky enough to spam click the screen everywhere and hit the quit button).

PC users are not safe either- the game when fullscreen is bugged and will not allow Steam overlay to appear, plus I've had to manually page down any open windows in order to even play.

I doubt these issues will ever get fixed, and that's a shame because I loved this game when I played it in the past. Not downvoting for the game itself, I'm downvoting for poor optimization.

I played this game as a little girl. I loved making my tribe grow and naming everyone. I looked forward to coming home every day and checking on my cute little tribe. Did they finish that house? Ooooo I wonder if they got more science points! It's a very enjoyable and cute game. It takes time but it is very addicting. You grow to love your little creations and work hard to make your little island prosper. I would recommend this to anyone, no matter how old.

This game is not compatible with newer Mac updates. DO NOT PURCHASE if you have a Mac. I spent good money on a game I'm never going to play. Very disappointed.

So far over almost 60hrs of game play and i luv the game. Unlike some players who play it u can pause the game and everything will stop running while your gone. when you play the game there are settings u can choose to slow down game play or leave it on med pace or fast pace. those different settings mean how fast your tribe ppl age in the game. when ever i been playing i'm almost about to get all trophies only 2 left. an i must say its been a challange. i recommend that if your going to play this do understand it does take time. an when your say playing for a few hrs and u choose to stop say because u dont want to play for a few days. Then enter the settings page an pause your game so none of the workers keep working while your gone. if u leave the game and leave it running your tribe will continue to age while your gone. Now all i can say is fun game good for those that enjoy a long game of waiting u must pay attention and spend up to nearlly 80hrs to 150hrs to get all the trophies i could be wrong but the hardest one so far to get is make a person live for over 969 yrs or something around that. Thx god for fountain water, golden relic and mushrooms. use on a person over age 65 or 66 to give them youth to age 36 again. anyways i luv the game and cant wait till i get the remaining trophies.
