The game basically is very similar to MCF: Huntsville. It has the same style and reuses the same sound effects and music. It's longer than Huntsville, but amount of scenes to search the items for is about the same - you just have to go through the same locations again and again. There are 20 prime suspects to investigate and about 25 different locations. With each suspect you have to search 6-7 locations, which means some of them repeat a lot. Also, the same as in Huntsville, there is a time limit and if you run out of time you have to go through the same locations again. Basically in later stages of the game it becomes more of a memory game - you don't search for items, you just remember there they are.
The graphics feels dated and the game works on 800x600 screen resolution, which makes some smaller items really hard to spot.
Also the game doesn't work fullscreen on Windows 10. You have to manually set desktop resolution to 800x600 before running the game. You can run it In a windowed mode, but I found it practically unplayable this way - items are just too small to spot.

We used to play this game with our mother when we were kids. I found it as an adult and I'm playing with my mom again.

I give it a 2/10.

Worst hidden object game I've ever played. It's old, but I think I've played games just as old that were still good. It's almost 100% hidden object scenes. The scenes are very grainy. I don't mind having to lower the resolution for an older game so long as it's still clear enough not to give you a migraine.

I think the developers couldn't have spent more than about two weeks developing this one.

If it were on sale for 99 cents, I still wouldn't recommend it.

Note: I played the latest Mystery Case Files game from 2019 and it was good (7/10).

This game is such a legendary ones. It is very nostalgic, remembering that this was one of the game i have been played before. It works great here in steam and I love it!!

I like this MCF the best because it has just enough story to entertain, but is mostly hidden object without a lot of puzzles that they never explain. I like hidden objects without the other stuff.

A true classic Mystery Case Files, Prime Suspects, builds on what the series does best. Continue through the game to find who stole the diamond! Hunt and peck your way through several messy locations and dig up the dirt on the underbelly of this city. Replayability is at its max on this one, I continue to play this game to this day. Another keep in my book and should be in yours too!

Another classic HOG. The culprit changes every time you play. I have fun trying to guess who the thief is before I reach the end. I wish they had made more HOGs like these.

A nice short HOG game. Decent locations and various puzzles when you've found everything. My only real beef with this one is I couldnt make it work in fullscreen. Otherwise its a nice game to pass the time.

This game has cool graphics and also funny storyline. The characters are funny too. Puzzles in the game aren't difficult, but final puzzle was challenging.

Cons:
- The fact you cannot get two or more objects.

I enjoyed playing this game.

I enjoyed Huntsville, but this one not at all. I love Hidden Object games and play a lot. There is some sort of story here, but the problem is that the graphics are really terrible. Many of the objects are very small and and most of them are just plain ugly. Maybe this would be good for someone who is really looking for something creepy, but even then the example images above are not at all representive of what you are going to see in game and most of the sites you have to search are very very grainy. That is what really takes all the possiblity of fun out of the game.

sneaky hidden objects game - this game can be frustrating and fun at the same time. I played it over and over till I had to move on.
