Einziger Minuspunkt: Es gibt keine Gegenspieler.

Eine klassische Eisenbahnsimulation a lá Railroad Tycoon, Transport Fever, Railway Empire, Transport Gigant usw.

So in keinem Fall !!

Und wenn man schon was neues erfinden will, dann doch bitte etwas brauchbares.

Was mir völlig fehlt - Hilfe?? - Steuerung z.

All the negative reviews are warranted; however, I am enjoying playing the game. It definitely is more a logistics game, rather than a train game. My most disliked aspect is the constant surprise objectives that appear so often they're not even surprises after the 3rd game. Build tracks is a money shoot and gamble.

I'm not even sure what I like about the game. I suppose I just haven't played a simcity type game in 20 yrs so its a nice change.

It's a good game despite it's limitations. Once you reach over 50 trains the performance starts to drop significantly, the autosave also kills it and will start to freeze your game a few seconds before it even tells you it autosaved and if you play long enough your game will eventually crash to the desktop and not a question on if it will do it either, it's only a matter of time. It really is a good game but hoping the next version will hopefully address these issues. The other things I don't like is there isn't anything on replacing an engine automatically once it reaches a certain point, you have to schedule a replacement manually for each engine, another problem I have is that the trains get locked up at the stations, you can only unload or load goods so many at a time, it doesn't seem to affect passengers or mail, those trains seem to come in and get loaded up and then leave, I've started to uncheck the boxes for having the trains wait to load/unload and took me awhile to even figure that out, none of the in game tutorials even showed it, I watched a video online and that person showed how to do it. I'm starting to use warehouses more and each one is independent from the other so you have to configure each one accordingly, properly done and it does help with the trains locked up at the station issue. Mostly what my issue is that 2 trains will lock everything up by unloading their goods but then everyone else is stuck there waiting, I'll click skip on the offenders just to clear out the station but it's inevitable it's going to keep happening. There is another issue and it's the load times, it is absolutely horrendous, once in the actual game it's not too bad but loading a save game or starting a campaign where it has to load it's going to take awhile.

Like I said despite all it's bugs/issues it's still overall a good game. I'm currently using an Intel Xeon 1246v3 w/ 32gb, RTX 3060 on Windows 10 and the game is installed on an ssd drive.

I really wanted to like this game. The graphics are great, the presentation slick. If only they'd spent as much care on the gameplay. Tycoon games have been done well - especially the classics. Being a modern take on a classic isn't a bad thing but it seems like they've taken the worst elements of Railroad Tycoon and the worst elements of Transport Tycoon and produced a hybrid that's not particularly fun. It feels like a chore.

Cons:
Boring. Not enough options to setup and control your train loads (depart on half load, 'skip station if', stuff that Railway Tycoon got right like 15 years ago). Every city/factory/farm/etc has a resource drop-off cap that doesn't consume fast enough, so everything jams up after like 5 minutes even using a handful of trains on a dispersed network.

Pros:
Inspired me to reinstall Railway Tycoon 2 so i could enjoy building a railway company that doesn't jam up and stop working after 5 minutes.

If you like management and tycoon games I can recommend this. It is not the best railway game I've played, but it's quite good and challenging without being too hard. It has quite a bit of micromanaging compared to other similar games (Railway Empire) but on the other hand you don't need to manage railway directions in detail, as the AI solves this perfectly itself. It's also just not about railways, you need to take advantage of industries, personell and the overall economy to be a winner.

Way over simplified gameplay. Reminds the First Railroad Tycoon. Only few old trains and only 3 of them are worth researching and upgrading. Maintenance takes unreasonably too much time and too much money. Do not bother repairing trains, just replace them when the condition drops below 50%. It might seem like it costs more, but by avoiding train's down time you will make way more money than the cost of the replacement. The trains can't run with empty cars if no load available at the moment, that's a problem and you are forced to micromanage trains load schedule. Very few missions in the game. Inside the game there is not much to do. It's takes only 20 seconds to neutralize your competitors at the beginning of a scenario, so I didn't even get to play against AI in any of the missions. The game is just too simple and not complicated at all. If you take Railroad Tycoon 3 and cut it down by 80% and improve the graphics and this is the game you will get. I'd recommend this only for people who have no experience with economy games. I finished the whole game and I got to say that this game is pretty boring. Probably the biggest reason for being boring is that everything is perfectly predictable and on the schedule. The game always goes the same way and if you figure out the strategy for this game you instantly become the god of the map and you will have so much money in the account that you wouldn't know what to do with it. After that most scenarios become nothing but a little bit of set up in the beginning and a simple waiting game for the time to pass while the goal is being achieved. I spent quiet a bit of time at maximum game speed to avoid excessive waiting and a whole lot of nothing happening. Pause it as changes are needed to be made and back to maximum speed. I played this game for 2 weeks, finished it, and I won't play it ever again.

This reminds me of an old playstation favorite, Railroad Tycoon II. The scenarios are sometimes easy, but often challenging. It doesn't seem to progress from easy to challenging very well. I enjoy upgrading research to unlock better trains, but they have very few to choose from. I also like how the objectives seem to change in the scenarios. When restarting the scenarios, they don't throw in any random extra quests, so you always have similar objectives. Also, some of the optional objectives do not make profitability sense. Overall, it is a fantastic game and I look forward to the second edition which will bring more trains.

Have just purchased this on sale.
Would I recommend this game? No. Railroad Tycoon it is definitely not, it is a mobile game trying to be a PC game, but failing miserably.
The time scale is such that it is aimed at a quick reward-quick loss model, but also hampers enjoyment. Time is advancing fast (on the slowest setting) and at the detriment to the life span of the locomotives.
Towns suddenly decide they no longer need the products you supply just after you build or buy a production facility.
The graphics are reminiscent of mobile games trying to appeal to your inner child.
If you are used to, and enjoy mobile games, then this may be right up your alley. But, for a better Train Tycoon experience, go to Railroad Tycoon (as I have) or to one of the Railroad Simulators (which I also have)..

Big fan of management games (Grew up on Tropico and Railroad tycoon) and if you are looking for something to scratch that itch buy Railroad Corporation. Fantastic game.

My main problem with train games like Sid Meier's Railroad etc is that you place tracks and then just put the speed on max until you have enough cash for the next track. In Railroad Corporation it feels more like every train is an investment and you switch around what they are working on for optimization.

And if an developer reads this, thank you for a great game and the cont-dev :)!

I didn't like it. I thought this would be more like Sid Meyers Railroad, but the latter has much more charme in my opinion. Some points of criticism off the top of my head:

- You can't influence the position and rotation of the railway stations
- There is only one real map for free play
- The terrain is really flat and boring on this map. Rail construction is pretty straigt forward and boring. I think other maps are similar.
- If you put the camera at a comfortable height, neither can you see the ressource amounts in the cities (they fade out at a pretty close distance already), nor can you see anything of your trains. The latter would make sense in a railway simulation, but a game as unrealistic as this one, could easily make the rails and trains a little larger. Playing this game was a lot of looking at icons with 1, 2 or 3 on it, slooowly moving between locations.
- There is one good background music. The problem is that it is the only background music that loops forever, without even being a loop.
- If you build rails through forests, the colliding trees do NOT disappear. Your train drives right through them. When I noticed that, I felt like playing a basically soul-less game, so I quit the game and write this review. Honestly, I would only play this one if I was really desperate.

Railway simulator without railway crossings. That`s all, folks.

In screenshots it looks like old-good railroad tycoon. After bought I realized, that it only in screenshots.
Wierd railway tracking. Only one track stations (may be only at start), you don`t manage where to build station - it`s automated. Train cannot pass through station, even if he won`t stop at it. But train slow down, disappear at station, reappear at other side and accelerate again... And many other wierd things... Not recommend.

This feels like the successor to Railroad Tycoon. I have played many games that have claimed to be the successor (Railway Empire, Sid Meyer's Rails etc), all of which were fine games, but they didn't quite feel right. This is a business game, not a track laying sim where signal management is key. Supply and Demands for cities will shift through time, so you may have to adjust your routes to keep them profitable.

I have a suggestion for the developer. If you can, please add competitor railway corporations and some more maps for free play. My favorite memories from Railroad Tycoon were competing against the AI to become the biggest railroad in a region.

So this is an ok game. I am really into all of these tycoon-style games and all in all, this game has it all but the part that I am not enjoying is that goods have a limit of 20 i.e. if you are delivering say wood, and you reach 20, the train will stop so after you have 10+ trains, you have to be constantly be changing loads/unloads, goods deliveries, quantities and possibly routes. It all becomes a bit too much to manage and stops being fun and more towards tedious work. On the other hand, if you enjoy the constant watching, and micromanaging of it all, then this is your game.

As an old Railroad tycoon fan I can recommend this game, can take while to get the hang of it, as in railroad tycoon there is an initial fine balance between going bust and making money, once you have found it the money starts rolling in and then its is case of not taking on to much at once when expanding. I would advise double checking production connection when setting them up, or you can find what you thought you was connecting up doesnt actualy work. I would like to see other countries such as the UK , Europe, Japan, India with related loco's. would also be nice to set the start date. I may have overlooked this as I have only been playing for a week on and off.

GIve me this over Railway Empire anyday. Read my review of that game to see the gripes I have with it.

Here are some comparisons with Railroad Tycoon 3:
+-There is more micro-management
-No voice acting
-no cutscenes
+Much easier to see what's going on. What you're transporting and wherre your profits and losses are coming from.
-Vastly inferior stock system
+-Substantially more challenging loans
-Substantially inferior missions in terms of setting(you're not building transcontinental Railways or the Orient Express; far from it)
-Every track has to be laid unlike RT3 where you could double an existing single track easily.

I had issues with this game because I didn't manage to understand that you have to click and release when you are building rails. A developer contacted me and eventually I understood what I was doing wrong. The developers don't have the usual grasp of the english language but that doesn't show too much in this game.

This game may not be the worthy successor to RT3 we've been waiting for for over 15 years but it is a decent train game and definitely worth it when it's on sale if you're into train management in my opinion. It is completely beyond me how this game can be less popular than Railway Empire and Transport Tycoon unless the issues that plagued RE at launvh were fixed.
Have a nice day.

Edit review:
I probably should have waited for the novelty of this game to wear off before I wrote a review because wear off it did in quick time. This game is more or les a waste of time and money just like Railway Empire and this is coming from someone who really enjoyed RT3. Steer clear of this and get Bounty Train instead if you really want a train game.

Overall a good game despite some areas that still need improvement. I have enjoyed playing it, and although it is no railroad tycoon, those behind the game have done a good job finding a way to create something new. I hope that they will continue to work on the game and improve some weaker areas of gameplay.

Although the basic game is so far ok, and pretty much exactly what you'd expect for this type of game, one of the main reasons I bought this game was because it came with a map editor. That is a blatant lie. This game DOES NOT allow map editing. It simply has a random map generator that allows you no ability to alter what it creates. Successful railroad games often thrive on allowing you to recreate realistic maps to play on beyond the limited ones the developers create. This provides nothing for that. Terrible for the cost.

I'm recommending this game with a big caveat: It's not anywhere nearly as good as Railway Empire.

Worth playing for the sake of variety if you enjoy the genre, but there are some design decisions that are really weird. The lack of control over trains pathing can be really frustrating.

They implemented signals only a few months after the launch, and even then it's a very barebones implementations (only directional signals). There's no way to make a route go through a specific railway, or use a specific station track.

Sometimes a train will change their pathing seeingly at random, and instead of using a direct track that goes from station A to station B, they will decide to follow a track that goes from A to C to B, causing issues for all other trains along the way.

This is not your typical railroad game. You work for a railroad company. You don't own the company, stations, trains, tracks, etc. The company does. Your job is to manage your part and make money for the company. Easier said than done. It's a task-filled puzzle and it's quite fun!

It is one of those weird games where cities change their minds about demand, and you have to reschedule your trains. I did not play for too long, but it looks that there is no future in the game. One can have all locomotives available from the beginning, what is good, but the development ends in 19th century. The game is fun for the first half an hour until one gets to know what it is all about. The map is very small and limited, not much room for development and play, or should I say, fun. I regret that I spent money on it.

This is a very nice game and it is easy to build and run your rail lines. It is also very clear what is desired where and when (looking at you Railway Empire). The AI is stupid and cannot build effectively but what else is new? The campaign is OK but the DLC campaign is better. The overdraft mechanic is a bit silly as a momentary deficit that causes you to hit the negative limit will lose you the game although you had a surplus overall (there should be like a month grace period IMO). If you like building railroads and see the money pour in while not having to micro-manage everything, make this game your next stop.

Positive is that the graphics are beautiful. The basic game idea of moving goods around on trains is a fun idea. If you like puzzling on most effective route and so. If you want to create a game like that than the developers should understand that pathfinding and fast graphics handling is the most essential part of the game, the game engine. Still locomotives get stuck with the 'waiting for a free track'-bug. The station has all tracks available for trains to move in or out and the locomotives get stuck on 'waiting for a free track'. Selling the train at the stuck place and reinstating the route will most likely get the new train stuck at the same place after a while. When I change the rail layout to a more optimal routing in relation to new tracks laid to new destinations, the pathfinding looses track and trains get stuck at switches with 'waiting for free track' with not another train in sight. The more trains and tracks, the graphics handling gets worst and worst. Up till the point that one pan request literally takes multiple seconds to execute.

This game still gets updates so things might improve. The game company is now selling DLC's which shifted their focus to selling interesting new content away from taking care of a properly working game engine.

So, if you like a simple railroad related game, buy this one. If you like powerful, big games that can handle large maps, (very) complicated track layouts with a lot of possible routes to one point on the map in combination with a massive amout of trains and other vehicles, (buy/)play another game.

I was hoping for a fun and engaging railroad simulation. Unfortunately, this game is extremely basic. It lacks depth and quite frankly is not very fun.

Major beefs with the game so far:

1. campaign scenario ends immediately when overdraft is exceeded. The implementation of this feature is poor at best.
2. Maps only loosely conform to the geography that they are supposed to represent
3. Load management is non intuitive. I often had problems with trains carrying cars they shouldnt and it is quite difficult to get rid of the zombie cars. I learned to delete the train and start over when this happened.
4. Autosave did not save after each completed campaign mission. Annoying time waster. Lost over 12 hours of play time because the autosave did not save progress after completing multiple missions.
5. Since the single available campaign is a waste of time, I would have liked access to a decent group of maps for sandbox mode. Only two choices were available to me, small and medium size. The map was a group of random named cities. Not interesting or fun.

I do not feel the $20 spent was good value. I am not even sure that fixing the issues above would make any difference.

Good business sim game, ok-ish railroad game. The developers are still adding new stuff. I had a lot of fun playing it, and some of the missions require some thinking to get passed. There's no formula to winning that can be applied to every situation. One mission hauling people is a money maker then another mission trading on the commododies market can make you a millionaire. I really like that the trains depreciate, there's banking, you can issue bonds, you can lobby local govs. There's a lot of tools in the tool bag. I don't play many train games, but it seems as though people who do and are really into trains are mixed on this game. I can't believe this game is getting so many not recommended reviews. Comming from not playing train games, this game is pretty cool. Maybe it should be marketed as a business sim/strategy game more than a train game, and that would be the crowd that would love this game.

pathfinding is absolute garbage. and you can see this is a problem the devs have struggled with for over a year if you google it. couldn't get past the first mission because a single straight line track was too complex. i thought that having to micromanage signals in other games was frustrating - i would take that in a heart beat over whatever this is.

This game lacks many of the things that Syd Meirs' Railroad Tycoon considered and got right over a decade ago. The maps are not dynamic, which really sucks because it's always the same cities with the same commodities, and the same terrain. Replay for the most part is uninviting. The bidding for land and buildings in entirely predictable. Hit the higher bid button three times and you'll win the bid.

The graphics are great although I experienced significant lag when I increased the detail levels of water and trees. My graphics card has handled far more complex rendering so I'm certain this is a poor memory management issue with the developers. The tutorials are relatively useless.. Fortunately, there are enough players who answered most of the questions I had.

Still, with those limitations I still found it chellenging and enjoyable to play. I didn't play with the time limit options. I found some of the time frames to be absurdly short or the game balancers thought that players should know the quest solutions. That took away a lot of the fun for me but without the time limits I was free to build my empire and then meet the challenges with less risk of having the game terminate because I was overdrawn at the bank.

The game's not worth full price but $15 to $20 would buy you a lot of fun.

This is currently the only game in this genre which supports multiplayer. If you want to play with friend then buy it. It may not be perfect but it is good enough to enjoy.
There is something unique with this game, which is the city growth mechanism. Basically, as city grows, the volume of cargo demanded increases, the type of cargo demanded changes, and the changes are too significant for you to ignore.
I will compare it with several games here.
In RT3, the city growth is typically represented by size as well as the industry you build, or automatically spawned, Industries basically determine the growth. Size growth only matters for passenger and mail. In RT3 you play not only the transporter but also the industrial tycoon, which basically determines the supply and demand of the cities, and the industrial goods represent majority of total demands in the city. When there is corresponding industries, you get dozens of carts of loads per year. Without industries, households consume at most 1 to 2 carts of loads per year of products. So basically, in RT3 the player has significant control over city demands. In RC, you can still build industries. However, the basic demands are much more significant than the ones you build, in terms of volume. You may build 2 industries per city. Large cities would automatically demand 3 to 5 types of final products. In RC your power as a tycoon is weakened. You are more of a transporter and less of a tycoon. The uncontrollable changes represents stronger macro economic factors imposing on you.
In Railroad Empire, cities require much more types of goods on each level. When city grows, there are more types of goods demanded. However old demands still persist. In RE, The volume of the goods desired do not change very much. the key difference is still that the demands change as city grows. In RE the stable demands ease your needs to go back to make changes to your old routes. More often you are adding new routes to your system. In RC, however you must frequently change your route settings.
In Transport fever, city demands never change. They only increase in volume as the population grows.
In conclusion, the city growth mechanism is a key characteristic of this game. You may find it good or bad, depending on your style.

Devs did a terrible job releasing the Civil War DLC. I bought the game for 22 bucks back in late Aug 2019 because i thought the game had potential. I waited over a year for updates because the game lacked replayability but I still had hope. I then bought the Deluxe edition, like 5 or so bucks, to support the Devs on June 4th when the steam page said the Civil War DLC was out on June 4th. That was not the case. I was just happy to see the Devs were doing something other than dropping there game. Then 2 weeks later they released the DLC almost without any warning and the reasons they gave for the delay was piss poor. Fast forward to now the game is 35 bucks, its only worth the 22 bucks i spent on it back then. DLC is 15 bucks, should be 10 or lower. I have spent 20 hours on the game so far, if i buy the DLC i will only spend another 20 hours on the game and most likely never play it again. I just hope the team that is working on this is game is a team of 1 because thats the results i have seen since this game was released. the game had huge potential, I really wished this game had like 3 DLCs out by now.

Unplayable as is, 2 main issues have stopped me playing,

1, (unforgivable in a train sim) NO signals, not a one, your only option is to double track, or at least put sidings along the track, but the trains may or may not like them and end up sitting in the station.

2. there is a £50k overdraft limit, the instant you hit that its game over, and unfortunatly you have to buy your train cargo, if you don't have enough then it wont buy and sit in limbo, but if buying the cargo puts you at -$49,999 it will, then 2 seconds later your running costs tick and its game over.

so you end up in a loop of game over load autosave and try to baby it to last long enough to make a profit, but all it takes is too many trains hitting a station at once and buying cargo aaaaand your dead again.

I thought this game might add the financial management missing from transport fever. Tried the first of the main missions a couple of times and just didn't think the game was worth the trouble of a third go. Track design is limited, signalling doesn't seem to exist and it appears that the solution to a mission must be very specific. I don't like very linear games, I'm a recreational gamer, if I want frustration I can argue with my wife - for free! I shall keep an eye on it for improvements and might buy it in the future. Transport fever hasn't got a competitor in this sorry attempt. Pity.

A game that promised so much and failed to deliver.

I bought this the same time a friend did during the early-access period, figuring that this could finally scratch that long missed Sid Meier's Railroads itch of years gone by.

We accepted it was early access and that there would be a lot more to come, the roadmap said there would be more and that things would get better. Unfortunately, it just hasn't really. There's very little by way of map variety and they've tried to get around it by (hastily) putting in a map editor so that the community and workshop will do their job for them. Even then, there's a number of bugs with it. Another huge annoyance multiplayer is only 1v1.

There are a few charming things about the game, but it's definitely not worth the price point in it's current state. Hopefully they put a big update together to fix it and turn it into a proper full release game.

At mid-game of scenario very poor optimization, FPS drops dramatically. 2. Sudden crashes of the game and after loading save file sometimes game continues normally, sometimes it crashes again and again, so you need to restart the mission. Last but not least , as a suggestion, AI need enhancement. Please, bring the stability to the game, I would like to continue my Campaign !!!

I've played nearly every railroad game since the early 90s. Spent 25 years in the video game business. This is an attractive game, but the economics are unrealistically crushing. By the third campaign, the objectives have a 5% margin of potential success. You can research all you want, and it won't help you in the slightest. The smallest connection from two adjacent stations less than a few miles from each other can lose money forcing you to borrow and eventually go bankrupt. Sid Meier got it right over 25 years ago. All they had to do was copy the mechanics economically. The game takes FOREVER to evolve at MAX speed, so testing a RETRY means losing three hours of your life to simply run into the make-believe economics. I grew up in a small town based on the railroad and the way that the tracks are laid, trains are serviced, etc are simply not accurate. You CAN'T build stations where you want. You have to connect track to existing track. No service stations can be build along the track providing water and sand. You can't build more than basic factories. The AI that generates the random resource layouts that you have to stitch together are on the edge of the map thus making it financially impossible to connect without losing to the ridiculous $50k loan limit. Even a mild read into history, loans were never limited to this meager limit. Trains always made money unless the tracks were built in volatile areas. A quick update to the economic model and overall costs with a DIFFICULTY level would bring this up to a five star game. Allow for 4x loans, 1/4 costs, and make the difficulty that comes out of the box called IMPOSSIBLE.

I personally find the game somewhat tedious. there is a lot of micro-management especially late in the game(E.G. having to manually schedule the trains for maintenance). This game still feels like early access to me, as it lacks a lot of features that the older Railroad Tycoon games have(E.G. Mini-maps,detailed expense reports). I would opt for Railroad Empires before purchasing this game.

Wanted to like this one but just couldn`t enjoy. The basics of track laying / station building aren`t good enough imo. Not when it is done so much better elsewhere. The UI is also basic and unintuitive. It`s time this genre evolved with the times as opposed to copying (poorly) the old railroad tycoon games. Things get messy early on trying to manage several trains and cities at once ass demands change. I hate the fact you have to mark cargo for unload or it runs back and forward costing money. Its hard to work out which trains and most profitable and why others are losing money. Upgrading to double track and beyond is a pain., There doesn`t seem to be a way to assign trains to specific tracks and platforms. This game seems outdated and a backwards step in so many ways. Shame.

Reminds me of Railroad Tycoon 2, except for being very pretty i think RT2 beats this in every other way from company managment to train route setup. It's not bad but i just can't get into it in it's current form.

Great sim, takes me back to RT2 days with all the features you wished you had there to affect terrain etc. Developers are responsive, take feedback from the community and implement solid features. Impressed.

I dont like doing negative reviews, but at the moment even on release of the game I cant recommend it yet. So much needs fixing/improving to make the game enjoyable. The game does have a lot of potential but until its improved I cant recommend.
My biggest issue is the ability to run several trains between stations on 1 route. well, rather the lack of this ability.
The path coding is terrible. I had a duel line bewteen two towns and two stations yet all my trains keep going down the same track and sit staring at each other. You cant turn the trains around so you have to delete them. You cant place signals down like other railroad games to create 1 way routes the trains have to follow either so if you run more than 2 trains on the same lines your going to have serous problems.
Also even if you have an obvious shorter route for the trains to follow they will just go the longest route they can at times.

I dont like how all NEW trains you build all have to start at your HQ, so if I set up a new route opposite side of the map that train has to travel down every other route, obstructing the other trains already their and costing me running costs just to get to where I need the route to start from. Why cant we have depots at stations and chose where our new trains are bought/built.

I do like the simple track laying but even this can be improved upon. I do like the potential for buying buildings and hiring staff etc etc. But this is too easy to achieve at the moment and I dont feel like its an achievement. Buying land for 10k then a business for 30-40k just seems a bit cheap.

I also never run the game in normal speed, im always fast forwarding as Im always waiting for cash so having to either slowly wait for trains, or fast forward to hurry it up a bit. I feel if they dont want players just playing fast forward mode maybe remove this feature. i dunno could be just me.

I am still going to play the game and watch out for updates etc. I will change me recommendation when they fix the train pathing and allow trains to start at my actual routes instead of the home depot every time.
