Resident evil 3 war damals der letzte Teil der Serie... bis heute. Mit den angetesten Nachfolgern ging es leider stetig berg ab. Teil 3 zeigt warum das der Fall war. Weg von den Rätseln, hin zum Versuch damals zu einer Open World. Die Schreck Elemente sind zwar noch da, aber weit abgespeckt im Vergleich zu Teil 2. Hin zu mehr Cinema, was den Spielfluss leider störte. Und dafür ein viel kürzeren Umfang.

Das Remake selbst verdeutlicht das nochmals, ich wusste das natürlich. Aber dennoch gehört es für mich in meine remake Sammlung. Um etwas in Nostalgie zu schwelgen und an die gute alte PS2 Zeiten zu denken.

40 Euro, ich weiss nicht. Ich habe es vergünstigt gekauft, 20er finde ich aber in Ordnung, also anderswo kaufen oder auf einen Sale warten. Für mich der letzte gute Teil der Serie damals.

Nun zum Remake selbst: Grafik hervorragend, aber 2 Schwächen sind mir schon aufgefallen. Erstmals die schwammige Steuerung beim Zielen, und dann noch die komischen Animationen der Zombies wenn sie getroffen werden. Ansonsten wirklich ein Augenschmaus, Sound und Effekte sind hervorragend gelungen. Steuerung auch gut.

Da es damals keine Bewertung gab, ach glaub da gabs ja noch nichtmal steam, bin ich dankbar das ich jetzt zu der Möglichkeit bekomme es bewerten zu dürfen.

Fazit:
Gutes, solides Horror Geschnetzel und das letzte gute seiner Serie. Leider erste Schwächen schon erkennbar. Für die, die Teil 2 noch nicht kennen, holt euch auf jeden Fall diesen Teil. Teil 3 Remake ist aber sehr gut umgesetzt.

Ich muss sagen für 60 € bekommt man hier recht wenig geboten. Das Spiel bietet eine sehr gute Grafik aber eine sehr schlechte Performance, das geht besser. Abgesehen von dem grafischen Update zum Original und den Gameplay Anpassungen hat Capcom noch einige Sehr gute Design-Entscheidungen getroffen, die sich halt anfühlen als wären sie sowieso die damalige Vision der Entwickler gewesen, die das ganze nur technisch nicht umsetzen konnten. Die Story ist nicht sonderlich gut, Gefühlt 50% der Story spielen sich auch erst in der letzten Spielstunde ab. Für mich persönlich war es zu viel Action, ich hätte es sehr begrüßt wenn es zumindest eine Horror Passage gäbe, wie in RE8. Die neuen Teile und sogar Teil zwei machen das meiner Meinung nach merklich besser. Zudem wurde ein ganzer Spielabschnitt aus dem Original weggelassen wo ich mich nur frage weshalb. Für 60€ die es hier kostet kann ich das nie im Leben empfehlen. Auch wenn das Spiel selbst gut aussieht und das Gameplay Spaß macht. Normalerweise würde ich sagen 20€ für diese vlt. 7 Stunden Spielzeit sind völlig ausreichend. Klar, die Grafik rechtfertigt einen hören Preis, jedoch kann man die sowieso nicht genießen, da selbst bei meiner Hardware (auf meinem Profil zu sehen), das Spiel auf höchsten Einstellungen nicht läuft.
Wenn man die Grafik lässt wie sie ist empfehle ich den Kauf bei 30€ wenn man Teil 2 mochte und bei 20€ wenn man nicht weiß wie man das Gameplay mögen wird. Für 60€ jedoch nicht.
Nur um es noch erwähnt zu haben, Onlinemodi haben für mich in der Reihe noch nie funktioniert was auch für Resistance gilt.

Ja - ReSi 3 ist deutlich actionreicher als seine Vorgänger und kommt fast komplett ohne Rätsel aus. Das hat die Fans damals enttäuscht und gefällt auch heute nicht jedem. Trotzdem hat es mir verdammt viel Spaß gemacht. Das Pacing ist gut abgestimmt, die Grafik hat nochmal eine ordentliche Schippe zugelegt (verglichen mit dem Resi 2 Remake) und die typischen Resident Evil / Metroidvania-Light Elemente sind auch hier vorhanden.

Wer nach dem Remake von Teil 2 nicht genug bekommt, wird hiermit sicher auch Spaß haben. Und wen die Rätsel im Vorgänger genervt haben, und die ständige Munitionsknappheit auf den Geist ging, der wir das Spiel lieben.

I am so happy this game was remastered.
Compared to RE2 I play this one more often and with more passion an fun.

It would be lovely if more Resident Evil games would have Co-Op-Modus (like Re5 and RE6).
Co-Op is the one thing I miss in this game.

Similar Gameplay to RE2 but less hiding :)

Hallo und willkommen zu Racoon City.

Gnadenlose Zombiehatz wird hier in einem leider zu kurzen Spiel überliefert.
Dafür macht es aber sehr viel Spaß dass Spiel mit allen Achievements durchzuspielen.

Möge eure Waffe stets geladen sein und das Heilkraut parat neben euch.

PS: der neue Film namens Resident Evil Welcome to Racoon City ist echt scheiße und gönnt euch für das Geld lieber dieses Spiel.

I like all RE Parts, this part was not bad, I like it, but 5-6 hours with not rushing and a price of 60€ that a joke? I dont paid the full price, but if someone wanna it to buy, than wait better if its really cheap.

RE2 was much better from the playtime.

Resident Evil 3, ein gutes Spiel, aber ein schreckliches Remake.
RE2 Remake war genial und Capcom bewies ganz klar, dass sie wissen, wie man ein Spiel richtig Remaked, deswegen kommt die Frage hier auf, wieso sie hier so verkackt haben.

Positiv:

- Bezaubernde Grafik
- Hochqualitative Qutsceenes
- Stilistischer Soundtrack
- Butterweiche Animationen
- Schön aussehende Gebiete
- Tolle deutsche Synchronisation
- Toll Optimiert
- Perfekte Controller und Tastatur/Maus Steuerung
- Exzellente Map
- Geniales Audiodesign
- HDR-Support
- Im Verlauf des Spieles wird öfter zwischen den beiden Protagonisten gewechselt
- Sehr viele Schwierigkeitsgrade, die mehr als nur Schaden und Resistenz verändern

Fazit

Resident Evil 3 Remake ist an sich ein gutes Spiel, aber als Remake und als Horrorspiel, ist es schrecklich.
Viel zu viel Content wurde aus dem Original gestrichen und der Preis ist lächerlich dreist.
Die Story ist halbherzig und die Protagonistin Jill wurde ebenfalls stark vereinfacht.
Für 20€ oder maximal 30€, ist das ein vernünftiger Kauf.
Keine Kaufempfehlung, es sei denn, das Spiel ist im Rabatt.

Habe RE8 gespielt und wollte die Reihe nochmal von vorne spielen. RE3 spielt chronologisch nach 0 und 1.
Ich kann schon sagen: sehr gut gelunger Rework.

Die Grafik, die Atmosphäre und die Story haben die Laune echt gut halten können - was mir jedoch gefehlt hat, war definitiv mehr Horror. Das Kampfsystem und das Gameplay sind sehr gut ausbalanciert und Herausfordernd!
Was etwas genervt hat, war das Itemmanagement, aber das gehört wohl zur Herausforderung dazu. :D

Für Fans der RE Reihe definitiv zu empfehlen!

Ich war ein Fan der alten Resident Evil Teile. Das Remake ist gelungen, aber leider sehr kurz. Ich vermisse eine ganze Reihe an Ereignissen die hier fehlen. Alles in Allem sehr gutes Spiel, aber leider zu kurz.

Also dieses Spiel hat mich leider überhaupt nicht abgeholt.
Pro: Grafik ist zwar super, die Effekte sind auch klasse und das Monster Nemesis wurde auch sehr gut umgesetzt.
Kontra: Das Spiel ist meines Erachtens viel zu linear, bietet kaum rätsel und die Handlung total uninteressant und zieht einen überhaupt nicht mit. Der Horrorfaktor fehlt hier leider auch.

Fazit: MEINER MEINUNG NACH ist RE.3 leider viel zu schwach. Wer Fan der Reihe ist dem würde ich lieber RE.2 empfehlen, sofern der noch nicht gespielt wurde.

Für Fans der Resident Evil Reihe finde ich dieses Spiel sollte dabei sein. Es ist so mega geil und es gibt endlich auch mal wieder Jumpscares. So wie es sein sollte. Der 2 Teil war schon super und der 3 ist nochmal genau so gut. Klare Kaufempfehlung für Fans der Reihe

1. Die Grafik ist ganz okay.
2. Zielen ist mit Controller ziemlich mies.
3. Habe drei Zombies hinterm Zaun abgeknallt und nach einer Videosequenz etwas später standen sie so wie vorher und rissen den Zaun um. Echt blöde.
4. Macht es so wie ich und kauft es Euch, wenn überhaupt im SALE.

3/10 möglichen Punkten.
Spiel dauert wenn man sich in Ruhe umschaut 4 Stunden.
Wenn man nen Run hinlegt 90 Minuten bis weniger.
Also sehr sehr kurz gehalten.

Capcom ist mit diesem Spiel mal wieder komplett abgedriftet in die Action Schiene.
Das Spiel hat mit einem Remake sehr sehr wenig zu tun.
Wirkt eher wie ein eigenes 2.5er Remake.
Die Grafik ist natürlich super, aber was bringt einem die Grafik des Spieles wenn es nur 90 Minuten dauert und 60€ bei Steam kostet ?
Ich habe mir das Spiel im Winter Sale geholt für 19,99€ und selbst dies ist noch zuviel,
lieber warten bis das spiel nen 5er kostet, denn das wäre der Preis des Spieles.
Die KI des Spieles lässt auch zu wünschen übrig, der Nemesis wirkt nicht sehr innovativ und Moved immer gleich.#
zutiefst enttäuscht nach dem RE2 Remake.

Das Remake von Resident Evil 3 Orientiert sich sehr stark an Resident Evil 2 Remake aus dem Jahre 2019. Wir spielen die ehemalige S.T.A.R.S.-Offizierin Jill Valentine und Carlos Oliveira, wie sie einen Weg aus Raccoon City finden müssen.

Gegenüber den 2er Remake gibt es einige Gameplay Neuerungen, wie z.B. eine Ausweichrolle bzw. einen Schlag. Leider gibt es hier sehr wenig Rätzeleinlagen. Auch gibt es nur ein mögliches Ende. Dafür können jetzt Herausforderungen erfüllt werden, mit denen zusätliche Itams gekauft werden können.
Im großen ein gutes Spiel, auch wenn Resident Evil 2 das bessere Reamake ist.

Resident Evil 3 sieht garnicht schlecht aus und lässt sich auch gut spielen, wobei es eher ein Shoot'm`up ist, anstatt ein Horrorspiel. Munition für die Pistole gibts genug, Munition für schwere Waffen wie den Granatwerfer oder die Schrotflinte auch, alles in allem also kein so schweres Spiel, finde ich.

Auf schwer sieht das ganze natürlich etwas anders aus, ist aber dennoch relativ leicht zu schaffen, wenn man sich auf der Karte, oder den entsprechenden Bereichen auskennt.

Alles in Allem ist das Spiel durchaus unterhaltsam, kann aber bei weitem mit dem ursprünglichen Resident Evil 3 für die PS One nicht mithalten. Zu einfach sind die Rätsel, und zu klein ist die Stadt.

Da es nicht schlecht ist, ich durchaus gut unterhalten wurde, bekommt Resident Evil 3 den Daumen hoch von mir.

While the game is a disappointment compared to the original PS1 game, it's still an okay and fun game to play.
Although i would only recommend buying it on a sale because it's very short and misses some of the locations from the original.
Graphics from the RE Engine are pretty nice though

Die Story ist interessant und es hat sehr Spaß gemacht alle Bonus-Waffen und Achievements freizuschalten. Doch leider ist Die Story viel zu kurz (1. Mal ~4-5H) und man hat keine anderen Bonus-Modis wie zb. Söldner oder zusätzliche Stories.

Das Game an sich ist schon geil, vor allem Jill sieht heisser aus denn je ;) . Nach ca. 5 Spielstunden hatte ich aber die Kampagne durch und das war es nun ... ? Ich kann nun im Ingame Shop Equipment kaufen und damit die Kampagne von Vorne beginnen? Ich habe das Game im Halloween Sale für knapp 30€ bekommen und hätte mir etwas mehr erhofft als nur 5 Stunden Spaß.

Wer das Resident Evil 3 Original kennt, stimmt mir bestimmt zu, dass der Nemesis einfach nur noch Nervend statt Herrausfordernd ist...Da Spiele ich lieber die Alte Version.

Dieses Spiel ist eigentlich sehr Gut, es macht auf jeden fall Spaß von Anfang bis Ende. Mit den vielen Schwierigkeiten (welche nicht einfach sind) Gibt es etwas mehr replay value, sowie die Herausforderungen die man machen kann um geile Items im Shop zu kaufen. Es ist ein sehr lustiges und sehr gutes Spiel, nur es ist wirklich leider zu kurz, habe beim ersten Playtrough um die 5h gebraucht auf Normal. Außerdem wurden sehr viele coole Stellen und Gegner aus dem Originalen RE3 raus genommen. Für 20-30 Euro lohnt sich dieses Spiel einfach, zum glück habe ich es nicht für den Vollpreis für 60 Euro gekauft.

Im direkten Vergleich zu Resident Evil 2 ist der 3. Teil eine Enttäuschung.
Für sich alleine bietet Resident Evil 3, aber eine gute Portion Unterhaltung, auch wenn diese nur von kurzer Dauer ist.
Einfach mal im Sale mitnehmen.

Tolles Spiel und generell tolle Reihe! Ab diesem Teil baut der Horror bzw das Horrorgefühl stark ab, aber es macht trotzdem Spaß.
Außer das Nemesis teils ziemlich nervig ist xD
Aber dennoch kann ich es jedem empfehlen, der auf Shooter mit Zombies steht und nebenbei auch noch Map erkunden und bisschen Rätseln steht.

Das ist schon kein Remake sondern ein komplett Reboot , da es nichts mehr mit dem Original gemein hat. Weder Schauplätz , Boss Kämpfe und den Eigenschaften der Einzelnen Charaktere! Es wirkt so als Hätte M-Two das Entwickler Studio von Resident Evil 3 Remake niemals das Original angefasst.

Ich kann nur sagen: WOW. Ein wirklich würdiger Nachfolger. Ich genoss das Spiel . Nuz zwei negative Aspekte, die ich erwähnen kann:
1. Jills Haarschnitt konnte echt hübscher sein.

Aber ich kann es echt allen RE Fans nur empfehlen, Ihr werdet es geniessen.

Auch wenn etwas etwas kurz ist, haben die knapp 6 Stunden trotzdem Spaß gemacht. Grafisch ist es wie das Resi 2 Remake perfekt. Musik, Sound und auch die deutsche Vertonung sind super! Von der Story her kannte ich nie viel, da ich den 3. Teil nie so richtig gespielt hatte. Klare Empfehlung für Resi-Fans.

Eine gute Geschichte verpackt in minimalistische Programmierung.
Nur Enttäuschung pur für mich.
Was soll ich mit einem Spiel das ich auch wenn ich sehr gemütlich spiele schon in 6 Stunden fertig bin und das zu diesem Preis. Die Art der Programmierung ist billig und minimalistisch. Alles vorhersehbar, kaum Überraschungen. Über ein Geländer springen oder eine Leiter aufsteigen sind Abläufe sind in sich geschlossene Routinen die nur an dieser einen Stelle möglich sind wozu sie sogar noch markiert werden muss.
Faxit:
Für das Jahr 2000 wäre das Spiel wohl ein Meilenstein für 2020 jedoch nur schrott der den Preis nicht wert ist.

Ein kurzes Vergnügen

Nach dem viel gelobten Remake von Teil zwei erstrahlt nun auch der dritte Teil in neuem Glanz.

Das Spiel erntet viel Kritik aufgrund der kurzen Spielzeit - zu Recht.
Nach unter 7 Stunden war ich komplett durch mit der gesamten Story. Eindeutig zu kurz für den Preis,
Ich habe das Original nie gespielt und habe oft gelesen, dass einige Areale gestrichen wurden. Auch das fühlt man, denn man begeht relativ wenig verschiedene Gebiete. Es fühlt sich stark an, als ob was fehlt.

Nun aber zum Positiven:
Erstmal macht das Spiel trotz seiner Kürze Spaß. Keine nervigen Passagen. Kurze, knackige Action, Top in Szene gesetzt.
Es gibt wirklich viele sehr gut gemachte Sequenzen. Bei der Synchro kann man verschiedene Sprachen wählen und die deutsche kann sich hören lassen. Hier waren gute Sprecher am Werk.

Insgesamt hat man hier ein gut poliertes Spiel. Bei der Spielzeit wohl eher was für Berufstätige, die nicht jeden Tag 5 Stunden mehr zocken können ^^

Den Onlinemodus habe ich nicht gespielt - Vielleicht werde ich mal reinschauen, aber ich habe das Spiel nur wegen dem Singleplayer gekauft.

Anfangs war ich tatsächlich am zweifeln, da viele das Remake ja scheinbar nicht so klasse finden. Als es dann aber im Wochenendsale war, konnte ich als alter Resi Fan nicht widerstehen. Und ich bin froh mir dieses Spiel gekauft zu haben!

Erst einmal vorweg: Ja es ist anders als Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Aber es liegen schließlich auch 20 Jahre dazwischen und die Zeiten als auch die Gamer haben sich geändert, wäre es exakt wie Resi3: Nemisis, würde man außer uns alten Fans wohl kaum wen hinter dem Ofen hervorlocken. Wenn dir also was an guter Story, Atmosphäre und gutem Characterplay liegt, dann ignoriere den Shitstorm und spiel es einfach, du wirst erstaunt sein.

Nun aber zu meiner persönlichen Bewertung also...
+Story (Kürzer, ja aber gut gemacht und logischer erzählt als in Resident Evil 2 Remake)
+Atmosphäre
+Intro (Das Spiel steigt an einer wesentlich besseren Stelle in die Story ein)
+Die Figuren haben nun alle einen Character wodurch schnell eine gewisse Zuneigung oder Abneigung zur Person entsteht.
+Steuerung (Sehr sauber und flüssig, wenn man jetzt stirbt liegt es weniger an einer holzigen Steuerung als damals)
+Wiederspielwert (Sofern du nicht zu denen gehörst, die das Remake wegen Nichtigkeiten verdammt, wirst du direkt nach dem ersten Durchgang weiter machen wollen, denn es gibt ähnlich wie damals viel frei zu schalten und dann sind da ja noch die S-Rank Erfolge...

Aber natürlich ist nicht alles toll, da wäre zb:

-Jill, Ihr Verhalten besonders anfangs passt überhaupt nicht zur normalerweise so professionellen Polizistin einer Spezialeinheit die bereits einige Alptraumszenarien überlebt hat.
-Jills Classic Kostüm hätte der Standard sein müssen, kein DLC!
-Jills Frisur, wenn man das überhaupt so nennen kann.
-Das Gesicht vom Nemesis...warum Capcom, ist der euch mit dem Kopf in die Friteuse gefallen?
-Manche Schauplätze die gestrichen wurden hätten einfach nicht gestrichen werden dürfen. (Der originale Uhrenturm und der Park z.B.)

So, das war meiner seits alles, bilde dir einfach deine eigene Meinung und gehe möglichst unvoreingenommen an das Spiel heran. =)

Etwa ein Jahr nach der gelungenen Neuauflage von Resident Evil 2, präsentierte uns Capcom nun auch schon den dritten Teil der Horror-Serie als Remake. Hier haben die Schöpfer aber direkt das ganze Spiel überarbeitet und eine deutlich andere Version des Survival-Horror-Vorbilds erschaffen – stets dabei den Vorgänger vor Augen, um wieder perfekt die alten Tugenden mit einem zeitgemäßen Spieldesign zu kreuzen.

Die Rückkehr des Nemesis

Resident Evil 3 ereignet sich nur ein paar Stunden vor und nach den Geschehnissen des Vorgängers. Doch diesmal erlebt Ihr eine weitere Seite der Geschichte. Der Start verläuft wie gewohnt in klassischer Resident Evil Manier durch pure Spannung und Druck durch die ersten Flure und Passagen.

Der große Vor- und Nachteil

RE3: Nemesis ist schon in der Ur-Fassung linearer und deutlich schnelllebiger als der direkte Vorgänger. Dementsprechend dürfte es für keinen überraschend sein, dass die Neuinterpretation hier in dieselbe Kerbe schlägt.
Statt dem verwinkelten Police Department voller Mysterien und Pforten, stolpert Ihr hier durch Racoon City. Der Areal-Wechsel ist zugleich sein größtes Potenzial, sowie aber auch Manko. Man bleibt selten lange an einem Geschehen und ist binnen 3-4 Stunden bereits am Ende des Szenarios angelangt. Dabei wirkt das Abenteuer postfaktisch vom Aufbau viel zu gehetzt, da es zum einem seine Stärken kaum zum Vorschein bringt und zum anderen sogar auf beliebte Features seines Vorgängers verzichtet. RE3 hat zwischen dem ersten und zweiten Teil meiner Meinung nach nie wirklich herausgeragt, aber es glänzt mit Abwechslungsreichtum, die Euch zu einem erneuten Spieldurchlauf motivieren sollen. Bestimmte Codes werden in den Rätseln nämlich zufällig generiert – Ihr müsst also wirklich immer umsichtig sein und die Umgebung „mitnehmen“ – von schnellen Durchgängen weit gefehlt. Im Remake jedoch ist davon leider nichts zu vernehmen: Es ist straight linear, die Denkaufgaben statisch – lediglich Gegenstände und Gegner wechseln ihre Positionen je nach Schwierigkeitsgrad.
Das ist aber alles kein Grund zum Weinen, immerhin gibt es Euch mehr „narratives“-Spielgefühl als im Original, aber schade bleibt es als nostalgischer Veteran trotzdem. Davon aber abgesehen, bleibt das Game sich treu. Ihr taucht in, die wie obig genannte, Rolle von Jill Valentine und später ebenso in die von Carlos Olivera – leicht zu erkennen ist da aber, dass Jill wesentlich mehr Screentime zugeschrieben wurde – und müsst aus Racoon City fliehen. Das wäre angesichts der katastrophalen Umstände eigentlich erstaunlich einfach, wäre da nicht der ehemals titelgebende Erzfeind. Das Monster ist bei weitem nicht so dumpfnasig wie seine Zombie-Artgenossen und hat nur ein einziges Bestreben: Valentine unter allen Umständen zu eliminieren. Ihr müsst also aufklären, wie das mutmaßlich böse Unternehmen „Umbrella“ hier hineinpasst, wie Ihr aus der City entkommt und wie zum Verzweifeln dieses Monster überhaupt abkratzt.
Narrativ bleibt das Spiel wie gewohnt brillant inszenierter Nonsens mit Sauce – da kann Valentine auch schonmal einen Sturz aus einem Parkhaus in einem Fahrzeug fast gänzlich unversehrt überstehen oder aber als inoffizielles „Supergirl“ gar einer Rakete ohne Schramme überleben, welche direkt neben den Füßen einschlägt. Aber hey: Es ist visuell grandios und das reicht doch hin und wieder auch mal, um das Actionliebhaber-Herz höher schlagen zu lassen.

Das Gameplay

Gameplaytechnisch offenbaren sich jedoch schnell denkbare, aber dennoch viel zu viele Mäkel. Das beginnt bei der wie obig angerissenen Linearität. Natürlich, enge Pfade sind prinzipiell ja nichts Schlechtes – ganz im Gegenteil. Da die Reihe aber schon immer Hauptaugenmerk auf das Gameplay gelegt hat, schneidet sich das Neuwerk hier ins eigene Fleisch. Das Leveldesign trägt zwar zur actionlastigen Ausrichtung bei, welches das Spiel Euch von „A“ nach „B“ scheucht und dabei auch die Gefechte mehr in den Vordergrund rücken lässt, als dass Ihr mit dem Ressourcen-Management haushalten müsst. Denn da kommen wir zu einem meiner Meinung nach größten Kritikpunkte – denn, wenn Ihr wirklich die kleingehaltenen Gebiete erkunden wollt, platzt Euer Inventar quasi vor Munition nur so aus allen Nieten. Sicher, es gibt auch die Lagertruhe bei jedem Savepoint, werdet Ihr sagen. Dies trägt aber nicht dem Survival-Aspekt bei, den ich mir bei so einer Hetzjagd dann doch vorstelle. Über 100 Schuss sind keine Besonderheit, im Veteran-Schwierigkeitsgrad für die Handfeuerwaffe. Die Schusswaffen selbst fühlen sich leider auch nicht bedingt gut an. Wie schon im vorherigen Teil kompensiert die neue Third-Person-Ansicht die Anspannung der Schusswechsel des Originals durch Zombies, die lediglich mehr Kugeln einstecken. Da könnt Ihr auch schon mehrmals in die Hohlbirne schießen – die platzen gefühlt nur rein zufällig. Das ist kein gutes Trefferfeedback und das hat Teil 2 mit seinem „Zerstückelungssystem“ deutlich pragmatischer gelöst. Besonders schlimm ist es meiner Meinung nach bei Olivera, dessen Automatikgewehr sich unbeschreiblich unbefriedigend anfühlt – so als, ob man auf einen Pudding trommelt und es akustisch schön saftig klatscht, aber der Kopf genauso spärlich reagiert, wie der anorganische Pudding eben. Die Feinde plumpsen gen Boden, aber ob sie endlich besiegt sind, wisst Ihr oft nicht. Indem der umfassende Survival-Kernaspekt auf den ersten drei Schwierigkeitsgraden gänzlich fehlt – es gibt ja viel zu viel Kraut und Munitionspäckchen – kann das Remake gegen das Problem nicht über dieses kleine taktische Segment entgegentreten. Ein abgefeuerter Schuss muss hier kaum wohl überlegt sein.
Die beträchtlichste und damit meine persönlichste Enttäuschung, ist und bleibt aber Nemesis. Wie die Benennung schon sagt, soll es als Euer Widersacher suggerieren. Einer, der Euch unbarmherzig bis aufs letzte verfolgt – eine beständige und allgegenwärtige Bedrohung, vor der Ihr immer Furcht haben müsst! Nur… ist das leider nicht richtig. Aber sicher, das Ungetüm eilt gern Mal etliche Meter zu Euch und gibt saftige Watschen, die jeden Bayer vor Ehrfurcht erstarren lassen würde. Ja, es zieht Euch auch per Fleischpeitsche zu sich und verwirrt, aber es taucht einfach viel zu selten auf. Es ist keine wirkliche Gefahr, sondern signalisiert für mich: Obacht, Du hast diesen Abschnitt g‘schafft – subba Sach! Jetza musst Du nur noch fliehen! Die direkten Kämpfe gegen sind postfaktisch identisch. Es ist lediglich eine übergroße Behinderung und hat im tatsächlichen Spielverlauf kaum was mit übrigen Zombies gemein. Hingegen sind diese Spinnenartigen Viechern, mit Ihrem Oral-Schlauch-Spritze – Alien lässt grüßen – deutlich erschreckender.

All diese Mankos – die kurze Spieldauer, das geschlossene Leveldesign, das nicht ernstzunehmende Survival-Element und ein verschenkter Erzfeind – sind gleichzeitig eine enorm gute Einladung für eine Nischengruppe an Spielern, der perfekte Türöffner zum Kosmos der Speedrunners! Und in dieser, braucht ein Spiel nicht „Over the Top“ sein, um Freude zu machen. Hier ist es wichtig nur am flottesten durch das Game zu kommen – unter allen Umständen! Hierfür eignet sich diese erneute Exkursion nach Racoon City einfach besonders gut und gar noch besser als der vorherige Teil. Schlagartig ist die Linearität gar nicht unstimmig, weil Ihr Euch kaum verläuft – Dort geht’s einfach links lang, die Zombiefresse à la Matschgesicht ballert Ihr um und gut ist’s! Und allein dafür, ist Resident Evil 3 Remake, ein fantastisches Spiel.

Was soll man zu diesem Remake sagen : Für Gamer, die nie was zu tun hatten mit dem Original RE3 bietet es Stoff für magere 4h, was den preis von ca 60 Euro nicht rechtfertigt. Es wurden gefühlt 3/4 vom Original Spiel gestrichen und es gibt gerade mal 2 schwache Rätsel. Da tröstet der Durchwachsene Multiplayer Modus nicht hinweg ! Desweiteren wird jetzt extra Kohle gemacht, indem man die Vorbestellung Kostüme und den OST Track zusätzlich kaufen kann ? Für was mach ich den ne Pre Order ? Und wieder wurde man verar*** !!!!
Wartet bitte, bis es im Sale für 20 Euro ist.

Ein echter Actionkracher mit fantastischer Performance. Aber zu kurz für ein Vollpreisspiel. Viel zu kurz.
Keine Rätsel, viele Locations bereits in Resident Evil 2 gesehen, da kam man sich doppelt veralbert vor, denn für die Locations entstehen den Entwicklern viel weniger Aufwände.

Resident Evil 3 hat keinen Wiederspielwert, der Multiplayermodus interessiert mich nicht.

Letzten Endes muss ich dem Spiel eine schlechte Bewertung geben.
Schon wenn man das Spiel für sich wertet ist es nicht wirklich gut, nimmt man noch das Remake von Teil 2 mit in die Wertung auf wird es peinlich.

Das Positive:
- Die Grafikpracht. Wie auch schon der 2te Teil sind die Kulissen, Charaktere und alles richtig schick.
- Die Charaktere sind richtig gut Umgesetzt und die größte Stärke des Spiels. Auch wen Carlos gelegentliche Aussetzer hat.
- Gute Lokalisierung.
- Nemesis Auftritte. Ja seine Greifattacken sind nervig, aber als Gesamtpacket machen seine Begegnungen Spaß und man spürt die Überlegenheit deutlich. Außer dieser Pitfight kurz vorm Ende, der war eher anstrengend als alles andere.

Das Negative:
- Die Atmosphäre ist extrem langweilig, es wirkt zu keiner Zeit düster oder bedrohlich. (Die Nemesisverfolgungen mal ausgenommen) Ich hatte zu keiner Zeit Angst oder Sorge eine Tür zu öffnen oder einen Abschnitt zu betreten.
- Kaum Rätsel. Keine Items wo man vielleicht erstmal überlegen musste was man mit denen wohl anfangen könnte.
- Keine Möglichkeit an alte Passagen zurückzukehren. Somit war zumindest hier die Angst gegeben ob man auch alles gefunden hat….
- Die Checkpointpositionierung ist teilweise grenzdebiel. Man kommt z.B in ein Haus, schaltet den Zombie darin aus, rennt eine Treppe hoch und dort ist eine verschlossene Kiste. Wenn man nun das richtige Item dabei hat öffnet man diese und geht raus, wo man Nemesis begegnet. Hat man aber nun das richtige Item nicht muss man erstmal 2 Minuten zur letzten Kiste zurücklaufen um sich dieses zu holen.
Der Checkpoint ist aber bevor man diesen ersten Gegner besiegt. Wenn man also bei Nemesis stirbt, so darf man diesen gesamten Aufwand nochmal machen. Nochmal 2 Minuten laufen und nochmal Gegner killen.
- Der Einfluss auf die Story und die unterschiedlichen Enden des Originals wurden komplett entfernt.
- Die ganze Helikopterszene am Ende. Ernsthaft hat die ein 12-Jähriger geschrieben?
- Es ist sehr kurz. Die Story kann man Problemlos in 8 Stunden, wenn man noch nie Resi gespielt hat vielleicht in 10, durchspielen, ohne irgendetwas zu verpassen.

Ich würde das Spiel für 20-30€ im Sale kaufen, mehr aber auch nicht. Es wirkt ein bisschen als sei das Remake nur der nervige Pflichtteil, den man gemacht hat um damit den Multiplayer zu bewerben. Da ich den noch nicht gespielt habe kann ich hierrüber jedoch kein Urteil abgeben.

So, habe den den alten Teil von 1999 sehr lange und oft gespielt.
Kurzfassung von mir;
Positiv:
- Sehr schöne Grafik und eine gute Atmosphäre
- Alle alten Figuren sind dabei
- Es ist nicht das 1:1 Spiel von damals, was aber abzusehen war
- Man kann Sachen mit einer Ingamewährung freispielen, wie Waffen, Outfits und andere Sachen die man Ingame nutzen kann.
- Ich habe noch nie einen Bug gesehen

Negativ:
- Das Spiel ist kurz ( war abzusehen, aber so kurz hatte ich nicht erwartet ) Ca. 90 Minuten wenn man einigermaßen geübt ist.
- Die Charakter finde ich alle zu kurz gekommen wie das ganz Spiel. Brad Vickers wurde als das komplette Opfer dargestellt der ernsthaft nur ca. 60 Sekunden überlebt, und von einem Zombie gebissen wurde... da hätte man viel mehr machen können. Nichtmal durch Nemesis ist er gestorben.
- Egal wie gut ich das Spiel finde, aber 60 Euro ist viel zu viel, naja mindestens gab es RE Resistence dazu.

Ich denke mal die Bonusmissionen werden interessant da kann man hoffentlich Brad, Mickhail, Nickolai und den einen anderen Spielen der in der Garage stirbt spielen.

Toll, die Bonusmissionen sind gestrichen Hahaha...

Also ... ich gehöre ja nu zu den Resident Evil Veteranen deswegen komme ich gleich zum Punkt
Ich bin schwer enttäuscht von CRAPCOM
Erstmal das es übelst gekürzt wurde ... es fehlen sau viele Schauplätze und Bosse, so das man das Spiel locker in ner Stunde durch spielen kann...Rätzel sind kaum welche vorhanden... ich habe das Orginal auf der PS 1 gespielt und das hat mir mehr Spaß gemacht als das Remake. Wer also 60€ dafür ausgibt ist selber schuld :-D.... hatte mich sowas von auf den Remake gefreut und war am Schluss nur enttäuscht.....

Das Spiel ist für sich gut. Schön inszeniert. Tolle Grafik. Die Geschichte hat mich ab der Hälfte interessiert.
Ich persönlich finde, jedoch, dass das Gameplay für die höhere Anzahl an Gegnern mit mehr Ballerei nicht ausgelegt ist. Wo ich die Ausweichmechanik im zweiten Teil noch passend finde, finde ich sie im dritten Teil antiquiert und nicht zum Spiel passend. Die Rätsel sind leider rarer gesät und haben nicht die Tiefe aus dem Vorgänger.
Würde ich das Spiel empfehlen? Ja, jedoch nicht zum Vollpreis. Für maximal 25,00 € bekommt man meiner Meinung nach solide Unterhaltung für zwei Abende.

After i finished it now many times over again, in different difficulties, i wanted to tell about my experiances.

First the pros:
- Easy to get into the game for beginners.
- For them who the game is still to hard, there is an Ingame Shop to get items that makes it much easier
for every difficultie.
- The ingame shop is for ingame currency, no real money involved
- Very good atmosphere
- Jump scares (some maybe do not like them but they are still good even after the first time)
- Very recognizable places from the second part (mostly good for the players that play 3 for the first time)
- Riddles that are interesting and not to hard (You will know some if you played Resident Evil before)
- Got an extra Multiplayer game with it for free.

Cons:

- High difficulty is nearly unplayable without the items from the shop
- Its short (But somehow I still enjoy playing it again and again)
- Not many different types of enemies

To put that all together I can say I really enjoyed the game.

I got my 32/32 with a lot of destroyed nerves, but it was amazing and a lot of fun, to try again and again until I got it. The fact that there were so many places I know from other games, made it so much more fun. It feels like a compact story and many missing things were explained.

It was really short and the first play threw, I finished in 6 hours, with reading everything, going to all the places and looking for all the secrets. But then I wanted to play it again try it out to play against stronger monsters.
And the first time in my life, I felt like I am doing a speed run, to get my S Rank in Inferno. And I even did it under one hour. From 6 hours to under one hour. For me that’s crazy because I play this kind of games maybe once sometimes a second time, but that’s it.

So for me its one of the best games of this kind in many many years and I can say its worth every Cent. Hope you all have as much fun as I have.
I still have to try out the multiplayer will see how that will be.

Für den ersten Durchgang auf Veteran habe ich nur ca. 5h 30min gebraucht, was für den Vollpreis von 60€ Definitiv zu wenig ist.

Wie soll ich es beschreiben.... Es füllt sich wie ein Film an, der einfach viel zu teuer ist. Für 60 Euro kriegt ihr gerade mal eine von hinten bis vorne gescriptete 6 stündige Kampagne. Um das Spiel länger aussehen zu lassen,stellt dir Capcom nach dem ersten Spieldurchgang einen Shop zur Verfügung. In diesem Shop kann man sich Skins und neue Waffen mit Credits freischalten. Um diese Credits freizuschalten, muss man das Spiel mehrere Male spielen.Tja, wie blöd, dass der Wiederspielwert des Spiels gleich 0 ist.
Und wieso zur Hölle hat man so viele Story Elemente aus dem original Spiel einfach rausgeschnitten?! Der Park, die Spinnen, Jill hätte in die Polizeistation gehen sollen und und und... All diese guten Elementen wurden einfach entfernt und ich kann keine logische Erklärung dafür finden, denn bisschen mehr Spielzeit hätte dem Spiel sicher nicht geschadet...

Capcom hat mit Resident Evil 3 ein RIESIGER Schritt rückwärts gemacht. Leider... Das was sie sich mit Resident evil 2 ramake aufgebaut haben, haben sie sich soeben wieder zerstört.
Das Spiel ist nicht schlecht auf keinen Fall, technisch und grafisch ist das Spiel Top aber es ist nicht das, was die Leute sich erhofft haben. Hätte man den sinnlosen Multiplayer weg gelassen und sich mehr auf die Kampagne konzentriert, wär vielleicht was aus dem Spiel geworden.

Wartet lieber auf Sale.

BTW: Nach Gerüchten zuvor wurde hier ein anderes Entwicklungsteam angeheuert. Ich könnte mir gut Vorstellen, dass das die Affen von Resident Evil 6 waren.

Mit den guten alten Residen Evil hat dieses Spiel nicht mehr gemeinsam. Das ist einfach nur ein Ballerspiel, keine Rätsel losen nichts. Ich habe 3 Stunden gebraucht um es zu Ende zu Spielen.

Also ich gebe 4/10

Habe es eben durchgespielt.
Ich habe das Originale RE3 auf PS1 geliebt. Das neue Remake ist auf seine Art gut in Szene gesetzt worden, leider stinkt es nahezu komplett ab wenn man es mit dem Original vergleicht. Alleine dass es nahezu keine Rätsel gibt im Spiel hat mich sehr irritiert...

Die Grafik und Atmosphäre ist der Wahnsinn. Leider wurde dafür an vielen anderen Ecken gespart, so hat man das Gefühl. Die Spielzeit ist nicht sehr lange. Man kommt gut durch.

Es wirkt leider storymäßig wie eine stark abgespeckte Variante von dem Original. Da hätte Capcom nach RE2Remake etwas besseres abliefern können.

Trotz der Negativen Punkte hat mir das Spiel sehr viel Spaß gemacht und es war mir persönlich die knapp 40€ für den Key wert. 60€ wären mir wohl zuviel gewesen.

Trotzdem gebe ich eine Kaufempfehlung für 40€ raus. Bei 60€ würde ich wohl eher auf einen Sale warten.

Den Multiplayerpart Resistence habe ich nicht gespielt, und habe ich auch kein Interesse daran. Dazu kann ich leider nichts sagen.

Nachtrag: 05.04.20

Habe das Spiel nun 100% durchgespielt. Im Speedrun ist man in ca. 1-2 Stunden durch.

Ich finde es sehr entäuschend dass Capcom so viel rausgeschnitten hat.

-Es tut dem Spiel total nicht gut dass nahezu alle Rätsel weggelassen bzw. extrem stark vereinfacht wurden.

-Keine INK RIBBONS mehr vorhanden (egal welche Schwierigkeit)

-Kein Clock-Tower-Level + die damit verbundenen Rätsel

-Keine Polizeistation-Level für Jill + die damit verbundenen Rätsel

-Kein Park-Level + die damit verbundenen Rätsel

-Kein Tankstellen-Rätsel mehr vorhanden

-Keine Poststation mehr vorhanden

-Keine Quick-Time-Event-Entscheidungen im Bezug auf Nemesis mehr vorhanden

-Nur 1 Kostüm für Jill freischaltbar

-Gegner wie der Wurm, die Spinnen und Krähen wurden gestrichen

Insgesamt wirkt es vom reinen Ablauf der Story her total lieblos hingeklatscht, und ist eines Remakes von Resident Evil 3 nicht würdig.

Es ist zwar dennoch unabhängig davon ein gutes Spiel mit sehr guter Grafik und Sound, jedoch stoßen wenn man das Original kennt einem die oben genannten Punkte extrem sauer auf.

WARUM NUR CAPCOM??? Chance leider vertan....

The team behind RE3 remake was definitely Capcom's B team and it shows in the product. Strong start, but quickly falling into mediocrity, the demo practically gave you the best parts of the game. RE3 classic made a mild departure from 1 and 2 with a more combat focused approach, and this remake follows suit. Ammo is more plentiful thanks to the option to make your own with materials, but not too plentiful as to punish you still for careless shooting. Many say that RE3 is short and...well duh, classic RE3 was short too compared to 2 as well back during their day, but I will say that the remake had many missed opportunities and is clearly missing some content from the original. Entire levels and segments from RE3 classic seem vacant from the remake, and the choice system classic 3 had is also missing in this remake. Its disappointing for sure, especially when Nemesis himself seems to only get less formidable as the game goes on. Nemesis in early game is definitely at his peak with a variety of moves and ability to get lost only to drop from the sky like batman and continue to go after you. Without spoiling anything, lets just say that Nemesis's tricks really start to get limited after a certain point and with that the game's maps become way more linear. Its no surprise that there are achievements for beating this game in under 2 hours, speedrunners could effectively beat this game and refund it under steam's refund policy; the game can be cleared that fast. All that said, its a far cry from bad, just disappointing and limited when compared to RE2. The good points is that it is a nice remake to compliment and complete the whole story of Raccoon City's destruction, tying in all the events of 1 and 2. The early portion of the game comes on strong with putting you in danger and feeling vulnerable especially with Nemesis walking around. Its just a shame that it loses its intensity so quickly after a certain point. Definitely a buy if its on discount.

This remake is short, compared to RE2 remake. But it offer a fun gameplay with some new mechanic such as dodging, it's kinda fun playing the game over and over again trying to beat your record since there are 5 difficulty option. If in the future Capcom's going to remake another RE, i really hope it's done well and didn't cut any content from the original title, because RE3 remake cut many content from the classic one. Still this one is really fun!

If you've never played the original RE3 Nemesis, you might end up enjoying this game, otherwise, it won't be a satisfying experience whatsoever.
I like a few things about it, but I just can't ignore the fact that pretty much everything I've always loved about the original game wasn't included in this remake.
It's not a bad game, it's way too short and doesn't do the original RE3 Nemesis justice, which is such a shame.

Iam a big fan of the resident evil games. I was disapointed when I found out the mercenaries minigame

was removed . that was the best part of the game besides the main game.Why capcom removed it who knows.

Recommended for people new to the franchise and ONLY if the game is on sale. NEVER pay full price for this game!

Also, If you played the original then you already played the better game, so no need to waste your time with this :)

A game that sadly could've been a masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying this game is bad. No, definitely it's not. Actually, the game by itself is perfectly fine. It has a good story and solid gameplay with stunning graphics and i have no problem with it. The problem comes when you compare it to the original game. As a remake, this game isn't that good. It has missed out a lot of locations and puzzles. There is no clock tower, dead factory, park and cemetery. I don't get why Capcom rushed this one so hard. They really could've made this game a masterpiece...

Overall, the game is good and worth a try. I would NOT recommend buying at full price though.

Resident Evil 3 is the official remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, released in 1999. Like the previously released RE2 Remake which runs on the same engine, it's now played from a third-person, over-the-shoulder view. You play as Jill Valentine and Carlos Olivera, as they try to escape the city while being pursued by the titular Nemesis, a smart, dangerous bioweapon. Unlike the previous game, there's only 1 version of the story, not 2 separate ones. You switch from Jill to Carlos in the same campaign as the story demands it. Some areas from RE2 are also revisited, like the police station, and provides more context as it takes place a bit before RE2. I still recommend playing RE2 first, though.

RE3 is somewhat more linear than RE2, even in the free-roam puzzle areas, while also having more scripted action scenes. Enemies are more plentiful, and also with more variations like the dangerous reptilian Hunters which can instakill you. But worry not, as there are more ammo as well. Then there's Nemesis, the immortal pursuer. Unlike the slow Mr. X, he is more agile and can easily catch up or even intercept and block your way. The game is faster-paced with more action, but that isn't really a bad thing.

If you ask RE fans about what's bad in this remake, it's the lack of content. Some areas are cut, like Raccoon Park which I would love to see modernized. There are no extra game modes as well, despite the fact that the original one had, making the main story the only playable mode. And while the original one had some choices-matter elements that can affect the endings, you only have one ending here. The only extra feature is the Shop, you get points that allows you to buy powerful starting items by completing the Records section. RE3 is also 30% more expensive than RE2 despite having lesser content, and both games are around the same age when I bought them.

Despite the expensive price and lack of content, I really like this game, especially because of the enemy variations and more outdoor levels. If you like RE games there's no reason to not buy this. You can still have fun by hunting achievements and records, making your Jill and Carlos better equipped in the future. And then, maybe you can finish the extra-challenging Inferno Mode, with strong enemies and no autosaves.

Absolutely terrifying and thrilling. Whereas RE2 is more of a slow, creeping horror, RE3 is more of a fast, aggressive terror. Both are amazing in their own right. Is not as short as people claim it to be, nor has it sold out on quality. Obviously they're going to use the same engine they just made, as well as some prior assets, it would be stupid not too - it would have if they had ONLY or MOSTLY used those assets, but there's a vast amount of new ones that make this game stand out on its own. Wonderful game.

This remake is mediocore at best, the downtown part of raccoon city is way too small and they cut out so much content that was in the original like the diner, gas station, clock tower, park, and the dead factory and honestly the gameplay is too similar to re2 remake, nemesis doesnt even chase you like he does in the original and all of his events are scripted and he goes into phase 2 imo way too fast. only buy this game if you're a true re fan ON a sale.

Good game, but really really short for its price tag.

Graphics, performance and sound are the same as RE2 remake,which are amazing, i still cant believe how good the RE engine looks, the game controls the same, and everything.

Story wise they skipped some stuff from the original RE3. It's also more action focused than RE2 remake, so less puzzles and backtracking, and the few it has are on a much smaller scale so you only need to backtrack a few corridors and probably wont be needed to make runs to the storage.

If you loved RE2 Remake and want to continue playing as Jill and Carlos during the events of RE2 on other locations (It all happens in the same timeframe as RE2 remake) grab it on sale.

Dear Resident Evil 3, you get a blue thumb because I love your universe, I like the atmosphere in these early episodes of the franchise... But frankly you were that close to getting a red thumb.

Let's get things straight: although you'll most certainly have a good time with this remake, Resident Evil 3 is quite similar to Resident Evil 2, but worse in every possible aspect. Players can clearly feel that this game was rushed to benefit quickly from the success that Resident Evil 2 had: reuse of countless assets, scenes from the original game removed, very short campaign and no mercenaries mode... damn, what a waste. I can't really forgive Capcom for doing this, they could have taken their time to develop a complete game that would have been a real tribute to the original. Instead, the only feeling I had when I finished the game was that I was missing something, that my experience is not complete until I play the original game.

Concretely, the first big problem with Resident Evil 3 Remake is the level design. RE games are known to have a brilliant design in their early stages (mansion, RPD, train, Baker's house...) and get annoyingly more and more linear until the end. With this RE3R, you can skip altogether the first part: after a first hour (at most) where you can still have the illusion of an interesting layout of keys and locked areas, you'll realise that even Raccoon City is not very difficult to figure out and to navigate in a linear fashion. Beyond this point and unlike in RE2R for example where 2/3 of the game are just one, huge map with excellent design, RE3R is split into several segments of a few minutes to one hour each. This effectively linearises the game even more, on top of preventing the player from trying to reach areas/items they couldn't reach immediately.
The gameplay is exactly the same as in RE2R, except for a few downgrades: no blue herb anymore, no possibility of countering zombie attacks with knives or grenades, and fewer (and much more basic !) puzzles... This is in my opinion one big failure here, there is not a single puzzle worth mentioning in this game, and even less so a challenging one. Puzzles are a trademark of the Resident Evil series so I don't really understand what happened there. Finally, if you've already played RE2R, you won't feel much of this tension when playing RE3R. Seeing the layout of the different maps, you can almost predict when a jumpscare is gonna happen and, well, that obviously defeats the purpose of the jumpscares. The staging reuses everything that RE2R had, except that this time, there is no surprise anymore.

But hey, Nemesis saves the party, right ? I am sure that, just like me, many of you dreamt of this RE3R with great cat-and-mouse sequences with the horrific Nemesis, using the same AI (or better) than that of Mr. X in RE2R, in a great level design that makes the hunt even more thrilling, like the RPD did. Well, forget about all of this ! Capcom apparently didn't have enough money to hire Nemesis for the job, so they hired NemeScript, his twin brother suffering a very rare disease that prevents him from moving until he hears the typical sound of a clapperboard. Seriously though, the first 20 minutes of the game are gimmicky cutscenes mixed with QTE where you'll see Nemesis from every possible angle, but for which no AI programming was necessary. Beyond this point, even in the Hardcore mode (the hardest mode available for the first playthrough), you have to really screw up to give Nemesis time to actually chase you down in more than just the main street of Raccoon City. If you play even just a bit cleverly, you'll notice Capcom always leaves a grenade at the right spot so that you can just throw it at him and leave him call for his mama for one minute, time during which you will continue shopping around without caring about his poor soul. And once you're done with this map, Nemesis will never be anything else but a protagonist of other cutscenes, other QTE and some boss fights. This is a huge letdown for all of those like me who were looking forward to epic Mr.X-like moments with Nemesis. If you are looking for this, RE3R is definitely NOT the game for you.

RE3R is still blue-thumb worthy in my opinion because I love this franchise, and probably if RE2R hadn't existed, my view on this game would be a bit different. I still loved the atmosphere of this game, the graphics and especially some very well-made facial animations. But for all the reasons above, I'll have a hard time forgiving Capcom for rushing the development so much, considering that the original game and some of the RE2R elements were great material to do so much better.

Its a big downgrade in every single aspect compared to Resident Evil 2.
1.) Literally no Puzzles
2.) Movement feels worse
3.) The Combat, Gore and Animations are really unsatisfying especially after playing RE2.
And the biggest problem:
4.) You can't go back to older locations after scripted events to finish certain things like in RE2, because this game is way more linear and purely scripted.

Like i said, a big downgrade in every single Aspect. Disappointing.

Hello lovely reader! I must say I had a lot of fun to play it through. The game is between Resident evil 2, its before the game and after it, its not like RE2 where you have to pick Leon or Clair, this time you will mainly play as Jill Valentine and sometimes as Carlos but not that long. It's I would estimate for the first playthrough about 4 to 5 hours and after your first playthrough, if you can remember where the things are. you can easily play it thorugh within 1 and a half, so its as short as RE2 but it makes a lot of fun to play. like all Resident evil parts and I like that you can dodge enemy attacks like when they want to grab you you can just dodge it. I would reccomend to buy it on sale after my mind its not 50£ worth! even not for a Resident evil hardcore fan its to short for that.

8/10!

Honestly, great remake. Loved everything about it except the fact that they absolutely gutted like 1/3 of the original content. The game is super short but that doesn't detract from it. It just makes long time fans bitter. Nemesis was amazing, but again, he was SO much better in the original. If you thought he was terrifying in this game, you should really play the original to see how much of an oppresive force he actually was. I dont want to rate this as a negative but honestly, as a huge fan of the OG 3, im sad that there wasnt as much as the original had. Still a great remake though, definitely worth the time on sale.

Why is this game so unique to the RE franchise?? No doubt it's the element that gets you attached to the story and characters faster, in a linear journey. I must say: just like the movies now are going straight to the point, or even music who is changing from 4+ minutes to 2 minutes long, games are also getting changed. And its not for bad, folks

+I remember back in time, when those classic games used to be so long and difficult that, GOD! in the end, i wasn't even interested to actually finish them. RE3 Remake gets u excited from the beggining until the end with a series of interesting events and readings. And u should play it like if IT IS THE CLASSIC Resident Evil 3 from 1999.
++It's all about a new era, focused on realism. THE GAME IS FUN and you'll play it more than once!!

it was ok, the thing is it cuts away too much from the original, which made me forget about it pretty quickly, Wish they added back what they took from the original. Extremely short too.

Recommended at a discount.

Mixed bag here. Game feels like an average DLC for RE2.
Definitely avoid at full price, but it's great for cheap if you want more RE2.

Pros:
- Enjoyable story, nothing too crazy but it's nice.
- Memorable characters, never played the original so I can't compare, but the characters are well designed.
- Gunplay. Very much like RE2, very fun.
- Once you beat the game, you can unlock weapons and bonuses from the points shop. Great for replayability.

Cons:
- The game is short. Like, REALLY short. Beat it in my first run in 4h30.
- Lots of reused assets from RE2. Little enemy variety.
- Poor level design. Game feels like a giant corridor.
- No puzzles at all.
- Nemesis encounters are trash. I know he's supposed to chase you, but I feel like he's too fast and feels pretty overwhelming, in a bad sense. He's fun to fight in bossfights though, although they're very gimmicky.

You know how a lot of great games will feature a slogfest DLC that you feel compelled to beat, since you enjoyed the base game, even though the DLC isn't as well developed and doesn't feature as fun of gameplay as the original game? Yeah that's basically RE3 (2020) compared to its predecessor RE2 (2019). Hell, you would probably be better off just playing the original RE3 Nemesis from 20 years ago, because this game isn't even a complete remake of that entire game. One frustration I have with this game is there are like 1,000 mini-cut scene interruptions, and the sequencing is so jagged that you take 4 steps forward, cut scene, you take another 3 steps, cut scene. And most of the cut scenes involve Nemesis or zombies popping up right in your character's face, so you basically have to Quick Time Dodge within a couple frames of regaining control of your character, or you're resetting to checkpoint. Then, the sheer amount of content cut from RE3 is the biggest shame... It's particularly baffling since the clock tower sequence/location was like the centerpiece of the original game... but then they also went and completely re-designed this game's ending so that it now feels like a lame rehash of RE2's final act (in the labs). As a fan of the series, it's difficult to understand. It's like the devs had one shot to get the remake right, but I think they were more concerned about the multiplayer Resistance feature or meeting a deadline or something, and now we're left with this half-baked campaign which they are STILL charging full-price $60 for... laughable. This would be overpriced at $30.

Honestly, if you see this game on sale £13 is a fair price. If you are a fan of RE2R and you pay full price for this you are going to feel very cheated. It's a fine game by itself. It's just OK. but compared to RE2R it feels like you are being ripped off. Although it looks beautiful if feels like a budget title.

Again, on its own, its fine. Don't pay £50 for it.

Is it a good remake? well...
When it comes to gameplay, definately.
When it comes to content , definately not.

b>Gameplay wise the game has lots of improvements like: the puzzles, the dodge mechanics and the nemesis fights and also feels less rushed as the original did.

So i would say, yes the game is good you should definately buy it but since they decided to remove so much from the game you should consider to wait for them to also remove lots of the current price tag.

the dodge mechanic made this game very enjoyable in comparison to RE 2, Nemesis was a bit more interesting than Mr. X.

If you want to talk gameplay, then the graphics and dialogue of certain characters are great (apart from nikolai), too bad the mechanics suck ass.
But if you want to compare it to the predecessor RE3 nemesis, then it is a complete sack of shit, scripted nemesis chases with more scripted nemesis chases, the RC was cut down missing places like the graveyard/park and dead factory, clock tower is understandable since in the original it was used to signal the UBCS. But overall, this whole experience was just a cash grab from capcom.

It's not a bad game, but it's not good either.
If you liked the original RE 3, don't get your hopes up, this game is very different. It's clearly rushed, and has some poor design choices that don't make any sense. It's a missed oportunity to bring a classic to newer audiences, and that's a shame.
If you didn't play the original RE3, you may find something to like, but beware, this is NOT RE3.

Go and play RE2, 7 or 8 instead.

Jill is badass tho

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the TL;DR edition of one of the most iconic video games in history. Im not even sure how to go about talking about this game. This game, compared to the original, is so gutted and mishandled, it should have been a DLC for Resident Evil 2 Remake. Speaking of which, how do you go from a near perfect game of RE2R to this? Was Capcom so needy of our money that they decided to give us this?

Jill Valentine [1000/10]

The only saving grace for this game (besides graphics and sound) is Jill Freakin Valentine. She is my second favorite (Claire is my number 1 <3 ). Jill is badass without being a mary sue...which is rare in todays media. If you can believe it, she was supposed to be more fleshed out than she currently is. Her PTSD from the Mansion Incident was supposed to be a major theme in this remake with the clock tower being a dream sequence. The explorable Raccoon City was originally MUCH larger, Nemesis was going to be more of a looming threat, etc.

But what we got was this.

I do recommend this game, but ONLY get it when it is on a massive sale.

Game was not worth the $29.99 I got it for. This is more like $5-10 game at most. Current full price is a rip-off.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is quite a controversial game, mostly due to its length being quite short...and I'm not even gonna deny that. Even me who is generally for some reason quite scared of the RE games made it through in roughly 3 Hours on the Standard difficulty and I'm telling you I totally suck at these type of games and often take ages to understand the most simple and straightforward things, BUT because I'm the biggest coward I of course purchased all in game unlocks, such as the infinite ammo weapons which probably saved me tremendously from failing. A lot of people like to compare RE3 remake with RE2 remake so I'll do that too. Not a lot of people would agree with me on this but I enjoyed RE3 a lot more then RE2, mostly due to the fact that RE3 is a lot more action orientated and faster paced compared to RE2. I also don't particularly enjoyed playing as Claire and Leon both of them annoyed me a quite a bit during my playtime for no actual reason really, where as Jill and Carlos we're a lot more enjoyable in my opinion. What I liked more about RE2's Tyrant (Mr. X) compared to the tyrant from RE3 (Nemesis) was that Mr. X was a lot more 'scary' and always increased the pressure by a ton, where as Nemesis just became very and I mean VERY tedious. From a Remake perspective RE2 was of course a 'better' remake as in RE2 was more true to the original title. RE3 had a lot of content cut which made the game very short compared to RE2, also I dont understand what Capcom was trying to do with Resistance. The game literally is completely dead due to DBD just being so much better. They should have just invested the time and resources into the ACTUAL REMAKE, rather then some terrible online game. All in all if either have a ton of money to blow on games or you're a person that likes to replay games get it. For anyone looking for an actual Remake of the true experience just don't get it.

I wish there was a mix review button besides yes or no, this game is really fun and I enjoy the more defined gameplay we got from RE2make. The look, sound and feel of the game is exactly what you want from Resident Evil. That's pretty much where the good part of my opinion ends. TLDR: I love this game, but it is worse in every way to RE3. RE2make was at least good even though they messed up the B scenarios. This game can't even work with its own identity as a game set in 1998 and even inside the same game is inconsistent with the story. I didn't mind that it wasn't identical to RE3, but what was the point of making the game inconsistent with the story to justify a RE4make but it doesn't even mesh with with the RE2make story?

*Spoilers start below this line*

RE3make is a terrible rendition of RE3. It lacks the depth, it chooses to have Jill and anti corporate edgy, Brad is actually kind of a badass for 5 seconds (which is different from him being a coward), Nemesis has that stupid heart weakness and is linked to Las Plagas (which is completely different from the Mr X models hes based on), Carlos is kinda the same with an updated look and that is fine. There are no other humans to interact with besides the original UBCS survivor team excluding a shoehorned in RE3 cameo. Some of the UBCS characters get expanded on and others just shown the exit door just like before. The tram system is suddenly a subway, the RPD section is shoehorned in along with a Marvin cameo, the Hospital section is a stupid RE4 defense mission at the end, the dead factoy and waste disposal facility were all combined into the Hospital and while the final boss fight is pretty cool with the railgun (the name they gave it is stupid) it is completely different again. They just shoehorned in RE3 stuff, shortened the game and story, got rid of the different routes and reduced the enemy types while making some enemies ridiculously easy (Hunter Gammas are a joke 1 shot kill with slow movement like the G Adults in RE2make). Biggest annoyance/insult? Mercenaries mode was cut out in favor of RE Resistance a Dead by Daylight style game with 0 balancing, no anti cheat and no matchmaking. Sure its a fun concept, but they just threw it in with no idea for balancing. RE3make is even smaller than RE2make and it doesnt even have its own bonus content, Resistance gets all the extra content and the concenpt being fun doesn't make the game fun.

its an okay game it looks pretty but the game is way to short and once you figure out everything you will then find it to be one big circle that's all it is and the boss is staged.
And there is a LOT of the game that's missing from the original

Have mixed feelings on this game...The Nemmy fights are awesome and the boss fights feel miles better than RE2Make's. However, there really needed to be more puzzles. And it wouldn't have hurt to at least put in Operation Mad Jackal as an extra mode. Like, the maps and everything are already done. How hard is it to just include a timer-point system for zombies you dodge and kill? And Nemmy random encounters needed to appear more. He's supposed to be an improvement over Mr.X.

The action segments feel great and Jill is by far my favorite character in the series. However, there also needed to be more exploration. This game would have benefited a lot more if it had just one more year of development time. Gameplay is fantastic, but there are too many things in this game that just feel like missed opportunities.

As far as complaints towards the length of campaign however, I kind of scratch my head when people say the game is too short. I completed my first run within 7 hours. That's more or less in line with other games in the series. Not sure what other people were expecting on that end.. However, for different modes, again I do agree that there should have been more. I kind of feel like they tried to mask lack of content by adding nightmare and inferno mode, which is just the game's difficulty cranked up very high.

I wish I could say that resistance along with the game would justify the full price but there's hardly anybody on. And if you are playing a multiplayer zombie game, I don't think there's anything that can top Left 4 dead 2. And that game is $9.

If you are a RE fan like myself, you probably already own this game. For everyone else, I'd wait for a sale. For RE3 alone, I would probably price this game at $30 max. Still, I enjoyed playing it quite a bit.

I haven't played the other games in the series, but I decided to try this one because why not. I ended up enjoying it like crazy. It's a really good game and it has insane graphics, graphics doesn't matter to some but it does to me so that is why I mention it, to me it makes the whole experience better. The story itself was good to me, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for an amazing experience!

TLDR: Buy this game when it is on sale.

EDIT: For some reason, it says I had played 1.7 hours at the time of writing this review, but at the time of writing I had played through the game twice and clocked roughly 6 hours each run. I usually play while offline so perhaps that could have caused the inaccurate count.

Sadly, I am giving this one the thumbs down. I don't think it is a terrible game, there is a lot to love about it in fact, but I am left feeling quite unsatisfied because of its flaws. It is a great game in a lot of ways, but it is also a huge missed opportunity.

The things that I loved about it:

- the sense of atmosphere throughout the game
- beautiful graphics
- excellent music
- the characterisation of Jill and Carlos. I found them, and the rest of the characters in the game to be very well done.
- the Downtown and Hospital sections of the game
- the gameplay. controlling Jill and Carlos feels the same as Leon and Claire in RE2R (with minor tweaks). Less puzzle/exploration than RE2R, but still quite enjoyable.

Things that were not great:

- there's an insane amount of cutscenes in the game
- there are many cutscenes and scripted sequences that require you to 'press forward' or some other button. These sequences are annoying, unnecessary and immersion breaking. To give an example, if you want to start a new game, it takes about 10 mins of skipping cutscenes, rushing your way through areas where characters are talking to you, just to get to the start. It is very tedious after your initial playthrough.

- it feels as though there is not enough game here.

Now I have to explain the point above because a lot of the complaints have been about the games length. Yes, the game is short, but many games are, and it is not always a problem. RE2R is not that much longer than this one to be honest.
The difference here though is that RE3R just FEELS a bit hollow. It needed a bit more meat on the bone.

There is a lot of talk about the cuts and changes, and although I don't put the original on a pedestal (I've only played it once and it is not among my top RE games), Capcom really did cut too much in this instance. It really feels like you play through downtown, breeze through the Police station with Carlos (I thought returning to the station would be cool but it is one of the weakest parts of the game and can be wrapped up in about 10 mins) and then bam, you're at the hospital and it feels like you're at the end of the game already (and you basically are).

When I heard there were big cuts I did not care at all as I thought they were just streamlining the story and it would work out. No, the game really needed at least one more significant area to feel complete. The only areas that seem to have had serious thought put into them are downtown and the hospital. The sewers, police station, and nest 2 are not particularly interesting and very brief.

I am giving this game a negative review, not to say 'don't play it', but more to let people know that one way or another they will likely end up unsatisfied with this game (yes, even if you buy it on sale). Like I said, there is a lot to love about RE3R but it is baffling why so many resources seem to have been put into creating showy 'cinematic' sequences while the overall quality of the product was neglected.

EDIT 2: More thoughts on the game...

So now that I have played the game a third time (on nightmare) I have a little more clarity on why this game is unsatisfying overall.

Apart from the stuff I have mentioned above, the game also kind of has an identity crisis.

On one hand, it has the same inventory/weapon system as RE2 Remake, but it actually is more similar in structure to RE4. Despite having similarities to both of those titles, it is simply nowhere near as good as those.

RE4 is extremely linear for a RE game (technically it is a different genre of game anyway), but it is absolutely brilliant at what it does.

RE2 Remake may have a few deviations from the original, but it perfectly captures the essence of old school RE gameplay.

RE3R is somewhere in between and doesn't do the greatest job of it.

Also, a huge difference between RE2R/RE4 and RE3R is that the more you play RE2R & RE4, the more you appreciate them, take comfort in their brilliant design, and discover new ways to conquer them. The more I play RE3R, the more obvious its shortcomings become.

In fact, RE3R probably is most similar to RE5 (not a good thing), but sadly, RE5 is probably the superior game at the end of the day.

After playing the game a few times, I strongly believe that the team behind RE3R simply did not have the resources to do it right. It kinda feels like they designed a bunch of environments, some of which are BEAUTIFUL (downtown), and didn't have the time to really figure out how to utilise them in an interesting way. Perhaps some areas of the game were intended for exploration but to save time and get the product out they relegated them to backdrops for set pieces that required minimal input from the player.

It is possibly that the clock tower was originally intended to be a playable and significant part of the game, but they had to wrap things up and just leave it as a backdrop for a boss fight. It really feels like something went wrong during development and things were simplified to hasten production.

Last thought: Nemesis kind of feels out of place in this game. Now as I said earlier, the original RE3 is not super precious to me, but they made his presence a lot less interesting in the remake, because it feels as though Nemesis does not exist in the same world as the player.

What I mean is, because you only encounter Nemesis in boss fights here and there after the downtown section, there is no sense whatsoever of being hunted. It feels like Nemesis is just some weird thing that shows up for the sake of having a boss fight. In other words it could have been replaced with anything and it wouldn't change the game at all. It is a shame, and it just adds to the subtle feeling of dissatisfaction.

Perhaps capcom will come to their senses and release some single player DLC for this game because:

1 - most people who own this game are desperate for any kind of improvement to the single player and would buy it in an instant.

And 2 - this game has created a lot of bad will. Almost half of the reviews are negative, and at least half of the positive reviews are telling people to 'only buy on sale' and express great disappointment with the game etc. Effectively, about 75% of the reviews are negative. That's a lot of customers who have been burned and will think twice before buying the next RE game (remake or otherwise) at full price, if at all.

I assume most people who want this game had bought the RE2 remake, compared with the RE2 remake, this game is simply too short that you can complete around 2-3 hours on your first try. I wish they had more levels like it did in the original RE3 :(

Lacked some fun elements
While the newly added dodge/punch abilities is pretty cool, it is pretty strict forward without surprises, basically you just keep acquire new weapon and ammo, kill stuff and go. There isn't a lot of puzzle element, which I think is pretty unique and fun especially on your first try of the game.

Boring and repetitive multiplayer
One of the reasons this game is expensive is that it comes with Resident Evil Resistance so basically you get 2 games for 1 price. However, the multiplayer gets boring after a while as you are basically doing the same thing over and over again. On the other hand, as you can't have in game text chat, it is kinda difficult when it comes to cooperate with others.

Just kidding lol, to conclude, this is my first game that I finished 100% and I really really liked it but I just hope it is cheaper. I'd definitely recommend you buying it if it is on sale :) or if it adds some extra levels like the the Ghost Survivors in the RE2R.
