Can you survive the unforgiving medieval world? Welcome to RivenWorld, an open-world, sandbox, multiplayer survival game based in the medieval era.

An Open World Sandbox Multiplayer RPG Game based in the medieval era will take you to the Iron Isle, a cursed island off the coast of Europe that has not seen inhabitants since the Elders' Curse descended upon the land. You arrive in the coastal town of Gundar to find the island filled with ancient ruins and abandoned buildings.

As you explore the Iron Isle, you can make your own story, becoming a farmer, blacksmith, hunter, fisherman, knight, or lord of the realm.

Fight to become King of the Elders' Throne, or collect Ruins and trade them amongst others to build your wealth and influence in the Realm.

Explore
Explore the realm of the Iron Isle, a custom-mapped island roughly 100km squared in size. Throughout the world, you will find abandoned buildings, shrines, and ruins to explore and use to your advantage in the game.

Build
Using a Minecraft and 7 Days to Die-inspired building system, you can place blocks to build structures and make the land yours.

Survive
With a Rust-inspired survival system, you will have to fight animals, the environment, and other players within the world. Learn to farm, hunt, and forage to make sure you can sustain yourself in the brutal medieval world.

Collect Runes
As you collect items in the game, you can donate them to the Elders' in return for runes. Runes were inspired by trading card games and designed to five you special abilities for a certain amount of time. Be strategic in how you play your runes, and use them to defeat your enemies or help your friends.

Become King of the Realm
Conquer the Elders' Throne on top of the Iron Mountain in the middle if the realm. As king, set taxes and laws, but be careful not to upset the other players or they may kill you to take your throne.

Dedicated Server Support
RivenWorld has multiple public community servers, but the game is built for private servers. Our server software is written in Java using OpenJDK and allows developers to create plugins to customize everything about the game world and the logic within the game. This means you can customize everything, create your own plugins to make your own game modes, and more.

Honestly, RivenWorld is a promising game and one of my big bets for the future. I have a strong belief in its foundation and its promising future.

I must be clear that it is not a fully polished and 100% optimized game, but I must commend that it is still in its early stages. The experience was enjoyable and intriguing even in its current state, which makes me believe that it will only grow more and more over time.

I recommend it to fans of the genre and I can say that it is a great recommendation, with its strong points being combat and crafting, while still maintaining a good and nostalgic RPG atmosphere.

(An additional note for the developers' spectacular attention to the game and its community, something that is truly difficult to come by naturally these days)

After 60+ hours of the game, I believe I have a fairly solid feel for the game and the devs to some degree. This is a small dev team and community at the moment with a solid game in fairly early access. Rivenworld has a very solid oundation for a great PvP Survival game. There is crafting, base building, harvesting materials, and foraging for food. There is a skill tree for basics like mining, foraging, woodcutting, and more to come, etc and the devs have stated this will factor in to the quality of gear and weapons that are crafted in future updates.
The devs are responsive, which is a huge plus and not something you will get with the huge triple a companies. They are listening to the community and implementing changes, balances, tweaks, and bug fixes sometimes on a daily basis. I have seen not only my own, but suggestions from several of the dedicated community's suggestions and bugs fixed in rapid fashion. The roadmap is visible to all and shows great promise and many more things that will bring this game to life in an enjoyable fashion and flesh out many already great systems currently in place and many more to come.
If you want to help shape the path of a great survival game, now is a great time to jump in and enjoy the game. I strongly recommend this game to any survival fan and anyone considering dipping their toes into the popular survival genre for the first time. I hope to see all of you soon!

As much as I would love the idea of a medieval free building sandbox game, I can not support this game. While the concept is noble and the devs do want to make something, this just isn't it. If you buy this game, see it as a donation to an idea rather than buying a proper game. That is because this is not a proper game. While i am not one to focus on graphics, this is just a bunch of assets clumped together and looks very visually unappealing. The game play is the same as any other game, it just has nothing to make it its own.

dont waste your time. unoptimized. barely any players. might as well go play reign of kings with the 10 players that still play. Shouldn't have been released to alpha in this state.

Backed it on Kickstarter,I enjoy the release it does have bugs but devs are very responsive and play in game with you and work some real time bugs out.

I LOVE this game. Is it the most polished game I have ever played? No, but it offers alot more depth than alot of the other games out right now. Also it grabs you and wont let you go... It still is in early stages of its life, which is good becuase I can grow with as they update it.

The Devs are so dedicated to this game, I played beta testing and actually talked to the devs. They ask what I liked about the game and took my ideas and added to road map. At launch the Devs are fighting bugs, like all new games do. But they are on all the time helping playes and adding new mechanics that change the game alot... why they are still fixing bugs. I cant say enough great things about this game. I am so excited to see how this game growes.

If you play this game, you will under stand why it grabs you and holds on to you. Give it a try and explore the world before giving up on it. Also check out the raod map... lots to come.

This is the type of game where I expect the game play to be fun, since you can clearly see from the screenshots and trailer that the graphics are objectively terrible. I can forgive bad graphics if the game play is good. But that is not the case here. Not even close. There is nothing to do in this game. And yes, I know it's in early access and I factored that in. But there really does not look like a viable path forward for this game, nor any indication that it will do anything different than the countless other survival clones out there. I hope this was just a misguided release and not a scam/cash grab.

While still quite buggy (not even 24 hours after release), this game is fun. Still waiting to get into some PVP, and once the devs get the bugs out I see this as being a pretty fun game.

I tried to buy into the crowdfund for this one but it failed. I am glad the devs did not give up a lot of potential here. i know i don't have long, due to having to work today. in and this will be updated as the time is added, but so far i like the game. Keep up the good work guys.
