Das Spiel ist nicht annähernd so gut wie Euro Truck Simulator 2. Gut das es das Spiel als Bonus von Euro Truck Simulator 2 dazu gab, sonst hätte man sein Geld für dieses Spiel zurück verlangt.

Der Scania Truck Driving Simulator dient eigentlich dazu sich näher mit dem Scania bekannt zu machen. Es gibt viele unterschiedliche Strecken und Missionen die nach beenden Bewertet werden. Man kann außerdem auch seinen LKW Führerschein machen.
Im großen und ganzen dient die Simulation von SCS Software eigenltich nur dazu eine Vorbereitung für den Euro Truck Simulator 2. Die Grafik ist zwar ein bisschen schlechter wie im ETS 2 aber wenn man die Simulation nur zum üben spielt reicht diese aus.

Sehr sehr geiles Game für LKW Fans, oder eher Scania Freunde! Wer ETS2 spielt kann hier noch eine menge lernen.Übungen zum Einparken,zum perfekten Rückwärts fahren oder zum präzisen Lenken.Für mich sehr hilfreich da ich in ETS2 doch mal das Einparken übersprungen habe ;)

An und für sich ist die Idee mal nicht schlecht.
Man kann einen LKW Führerschein machen in dem man einige Prüfungen ablegt.
Man kann sogar das Testgelände von Scania besuchen.
Auch Aufträge können gefahren werden wo man jedoch kein Geld sondern Punkte bekommt.
Die Karte ist Klasse. Mit sehr schwierigen Abschnitten und sehr leichten.
Ein Navigationssystem wie bei ETS 2 gibt es nicht. Es werden zwar Aufträge und Zielpunkt angezeigt, jedoch den Weg dorthin muss man sich selber raus suchen.
So und jetzt müssen die ENtwickler mir nur noch eins verraten.
Warum ... warum zum Teufel habt ihr das nicht mit ETS 2 kombiniert?
Ihr hättet ein super Spiel raus gebracht.
So habt ihr zwei Simulationen die eigenständig gut sind.
Zusammen als ein Spiel wären sie jedoch unschlagbar.

Hier mal meine Meinung zu diesem Spiel:
+Grafisch bis Erschein von ETS2 V1.17 besser
+Mit dem STDS von 2012 Linziert
+Man kann auch den neuen Streamline (Mod) fahren
+Anspruchsvoll weil es auch ein Leaderboard gibt

As a long time owner of Euro Truck Simulator 2, purchasing this game takes me back to the old days of ETS2. The purple-ish graphics and simple textures are quite nostalgic.
Obviously, by modern standards this game is showing it's age. However, it still functions as it should and without problems.
The gameplay is quite enjoyable. It is obviously not the free-roam and business running side that ETS2 is, but that is what gives this game its own niche. I get excited when I pass the challenges quickly.
I think old ETS2 players will enjoy this game. I suggest buying it on special, because it obviously has a shorter life-span than ETS2.

i love this game it really does surprise for a couple of pounds it is worth it so much content and potential to i would recommend it for all the challenges and the play time to it really does bring joy to me the only thing i don't like is for some reason it wont map my Logitech g27 brake pedal all other functions do work.
i have tried everything to solve this issue using different pcs resetting them and even uninstall and reinstall but nothing works

This game doesn't seem to recognise the keyboard or G29 pedals, , spent 3 hours trying to get the thing to work at all and then it freezes requiring a windoes 10 hard reboot Eventually I opted for mouse and keyboard and that didnt work either. Otherwise looks like a good game, I wanted to practice reversing etc which is not available afaik on ETS2.

Scania Truck Driving Simulator - Is a great game for anyone learning how to drive a truck, either for Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator, it is also a great game even if you are not learning how to drive a truck in either of those games, as it has alot of things to do, such as, Competitive Driving, Dangrous Drives, Manovering Challenges, Free Drive, and much more!
If you have ever heard of ETS or ATS Then this is more of a side game to get the hang of driving and also to compete with other world wide players across a uniqe game!

I like the driving challenges, they are very well designed and have enough of a challenging to engage me completely as I negotiate the truck and trailer through the obstacles. Great fun!

A neat little game, hidden in between ETS2 and ATS. SCS were known for their many truck sims before the big breakthrough which was ETS2, and this being before the release of ETS2, a demo if you will and you can tell that, it has all the correct ingredients of a great game, but they were not as polished as what ETS2 is.

The Graphics -

The graphics are about what you'd expect for 2012 SCS - they're not quite what we have today but they're not exactly ETS1, an in-between. Good enough for what the game sets out to do and for the era.

The Controls -

Controller support is great, I hooked up my Logitech g920 and it worked right out of the box with this game, i'm sure this is the same for all other wheels/gamepads.

The Gameplay -

Oh the gameplay, it's what lets it down. SCS you were so close to having a great game, I know it was only a tech demo of the upcoming ETS2 but you were so close... at the core is of this game is the driving, and its what lets the game down, it genunely feels like you're driving a boat...hell more like a ship, and a ship on ice at that, the steering is just ugh, a let down from what we've came to expect from SCS but I also fully understand this was before ETS2.

Gamemodes -

There's a few game modes on here from which you can choose from, Drivers license, Drivers Competition, Dangerous drives, Freeform driving and Time reaction test, my personal favourite being Dangerous drives. I would kill for this to be a game on its own from the quality we come to expect from SCS today, or a DLC for ETS2 or even just a free update to ETS2. Dangerous drives is the best part about this game and I revisit it every now and then since iv'e owned it back in 2014. Flood is my personal favourite and its rather fitting since the truck physics act like a ship lol. But getting to drive in all these cool environment is awsome, I wish we would get some sort of flood setting in ETS2.

Overall, if you're a fan of SCS this is definitely a neat little gem in SCS's history, I 100% recommend even if it's not the greatest game out there.

This game is basically Euro Truck Simulator 2, but not updated and with worse graphics, I mean it's 2012 SCS graphics, what're you gonna do?

This game is only good for one reason, testing your driving skills (The steering feels a little different from Euro Truck Simulator 2, but otherwise the same game, just not open world.

And the Scania R that you use in the game is an older model from when this game was released (2012), so if you're looking for a game like this but with a newer model Scania R or Scania S (2016-present), buy Euro Truck Simulator 2 and stay away from this game (not that it's a big problem).

This game is pretty good, but I would wait until it's on sale for cheap.

How have I never heard of this game?? It is by far the best truck driving sim that I have tried. Needs to be re done in modern graphics and steam achievements!!! Why dont ATS or ETS have challenges like this?

If you're going into Scania Truck Driving Simulator expecting a proper simulator, this game *mostly* is not that. What it is in actuality is a solid training module for reversing and navigating in tight spaces, paired with a few dozen real-world situations and a smallish open world for free-form deliveries.

This game works best if you approach the Young European Truck Driver challenges as training for driving around in ETS2 and not a standalone game, if you can ace the challenges in this title you'll find backing in most of the default delivery layouts of its younger brother to be super easy. Don't plan on aiming to climb the leaderboards as most if not all of them are filled with hacked players.

Aside from the YETD challenges, the real-world situations are interesting but irritating as steering is super mushy at anything more than walking speed. Expect to clip lots of things you'd normally miss, and for off-road levels to be nightmarish to clear without faults. Trailer hitboxes are rather iffy, especially that of the low-bed glass hauler. The open world is fairly small but has several tricky places to unload at, unfortunately delivering jobs unlocks nothing aside from points...which again are tied to an obviously hacked leaderboard.

Scania Truck Driving Simulator is a worthy alternative for the older, infinitely more aggravating Trucks & Trailers. Just don't expect a ton of hours out of it, as this game can be finished in under five hours if you're not into acing all the challenges. A worthy buy at the 80 to 90% off sales it regularly has, but regular price is pushing it.

If you ever played ETS2 or ATS and thought that hauling cargoes for miles is boring, try this out. This game is basically a collection of short challenges ranging from easy to hellishly difficult. Try your hand at parking a Scania truck and maneuvering in tight spaces forwards and backwards without destroying your surroundings or your truck. It's not as easy as it may seem. Best played with a wheel.

Scania Truck Driving Simulator is GREAT.

So good that it is a shame SCS did not decide to update the physics & UI along with ETS 2.

This game shows how skilled real truck drivers are...THIS IS HARD!

I would love to see some of the Dangerous Drive situations added to ETS as alternative B roads (when motorways are closed).

Despite its age this is a Fantastic buy and on sale it is less than £2!!!

It is the only truck game I can find with mountain driving. If you are a Scania fan, or wanted some extra challenges for your trucking simulation catalog than this will work.

If you already have ETS2 I dont see any point giving 10 euros for the same game but without multiplayer unless you want to support the developers, then go ahead, they do a great job and need more money for developing the ETS3.

Amazing game ! Considering i only payed 0.34 euro for it. It has a lot of replayable challanges and content that is worth more then asking price of the game. I recommend it for everyone ! 10/10

PS: I recommend it but I recommend rather to buy ETS 2.

I played this game so much when I was younger... Pretty decent game for the time the game came out, but now of course ETS2 is many times better and is being updated, I don't think this game is updated anymore.

If you want a world to drive around in and explore with cargo on the back and visions of long, hard motorway drives cross country borders: Get ETS 2 and avoid this.

If you want technical driving, testing your skills at low speed manoeuvers and slowly squeezing yourself through tight gaps having to focus hard: Get THIS and avoid ETS 2.

Nothing more to be said, really - graphically, physically and in pretty much all regards, this is very nearly the same game as ETS 2. Only difference is as stated above. This: A technical truck driving simulator. ETS 2: An open truck driving simulator. This doesn't have any managerial aspects (running your own business) but ETS 2 does.

One thing I will add though. I think this game would have been better served as a DLC of some kind.
