i will divide this dlc into 2 parts :
-new civilization added to the game. (score : 2/10) (should be 1$)
-new heroes & legends. (score : 9/10) (worth 3~5$)
i give this DLC : 8/10 in general because the heroes & legends is a very well added change to the game.
===
i will write this on all my reviews THE AI in this game is broken ! civ5 had an ai that at least worked !
the ai just do nothing ! it literally does not work ! which is odd because at least in civ5 it worked, as bad as it was.
HEY STUPID DEVELOPERS OF THE GAME, FIX YOUR GAME AND AI BEFORE ADDING MONEY GRAB DLC !
the dlc could have been justified if this game was an online game like dota, r6siege, etc...
but since most players play offline this dlc is not justified at all...
every civilization is SLIGHTLY adjusted or a little different than the other civs, adding this DLC to the game does not do anything !
it is like if a car can't start and you can't drive it, buy you go buy leather seats for it !
HOWEVER i LOVE the heroes & legends added to the game, it is amazing. great game changing impact that blends nicely.
===
i give this DLC : 8/10 in general because the heroes & legends is a very well added change to the game.

If you’re looking for a civ to play as where you can just steam role either other players or the ai than this is for you

But if you’re looking for a civ that is well balanced, fun to play, has multiple options for possible victories, or even gives you a unique experience every time you play, than look somewhere else because Babylon is ANYTHING BUT.

How this civ works is that for each eureka you get for science, you instantly gain that tech, which is so blatantly overpowered that I am shocked the devs thought this was balanced in any way. For those of you that are new or newish to civ6 this means that if you known what you’re doing you can have tanks and jet bombers in the ancient era, when the other civs will at most have basic primitive walls up at best, even if you don’t known how to chain eurekas and or are messing around you will still be far ahead of the competition, I was messing around and I still got access to and was this using modern jet fighter before anyone else had even discovered basic fire arms. All of this and I haven’t even addressed the great people exploit, because great people points are tallied by number of science buildings you have and not your total of science (which for Babylon is halved because the devs wanted to give the illusion that this is balanced which they failed to do) you can get an army of great scientists to further boost your already overpowered ability since many great scientists will give you free eurekas for just recruiting them. Now some might say’ oh civs like Brazil can counter this because of their bonus for great people’ that would be true, if you couldn’t purchase them for science or gold, if you have enough holy sites or markets you can make it so that no one gets great scientists which benefit you far more than any other civ in the game

In conclusion Babylon should have been either reworked or heavily nerfed as in their current state they aren’t balanced, fun, and frankly are stale: once you known how to chain eurekas every play through of them is the same for crying out loud at least Korea, a civ that’s already busted for stupid good science atleast gives the other civs a chance, here thought, unless you go for a science victory for the memes you will wipe the floor with everything

Overall I would not recommend buying Babylon unless you want every civ in the game or just hate other player and the ai

Theses have been my thoughts now tell me what you think

Babylon is completely busted. You have the potential to destroy the tech tree and in turn any opponents. I'm not a multiplayer person, but I can easily see how unfun it can be to play against Babylon. Do I like the civ? Yes. However, this completely destroys the balance of the game even further to the point that it should outright be banned from online play.

Babylon is fun to play, this game mode too, but there are some annoyances that must be corrected.
1. This is most annoying. Babylon MUST go for domination if he wants to keep up with deity AI, and that means he must go to the conquest early if he wants to keep his advantage over AI. But this also breaks Hammurabi's cool ability. When I conquered a city with a campus, I lose my ability to receive my free building when i build myself one. I lost Great Library because of that. Very annoying
2. Barbarians get stronger with the Babylon, and they terrorise with crossbowman and musketman other civs and city states when they have only warriors and archers. I mean, it's pretty funny at first, but this is obviously unintended.
Months passed, but Firaxis hasn't adressed those problems yet.

Babylon is completely broken early game, to the point that its not even worth playing if they spawn near them, they will destroy your civilization by spamming muskets in at around 600 bc, every time i play this happens if I spawn near them, also seems like they aren't affected by loyalty but that could just be AI caveat. overall not fun to play against. which is disappointing.

Buy this as part of the New Frontiers season pas, will save you money.

Babylon's Back! And even more OP than last time. Perfect for curbstopming AI in singleplayer, terrible for multiplayer balance.

Also comes with alot of new features, making this a good DLC, unlike some other DLC....(looking at you, viking dlc....)

Just played a normal game with normal speed as england. Had a rough start and 16 science per turn (10 technologies researched) at turn 80 but i thought i could maybe still save this game. Then I met Babylon... They where doing 95 science per turn having researched 25 technologies at turn 80 on normal speed. This civilization is the most op civ this game has ever seen imo and that means A LOT. And I can only recommend dissabling this DLC while not playing as him since he tends to ruin everything when he shows up.

First time I've ever not recommended a Civ product. Babylon is a clear example of bad design and an obvious attempt to justify the season pass by giving us a terribly exploitable Civ at the back end of it. Really couldn't believe it the first time. Its like when someone makes a mod Civ just to win a science victory.

Babylon is completely broken. Remember how overpowered they were in Civ V? That doesn't even begin to approach how stupidly busted they are in this version. There isn't even a way to fix it. You can blitz through the tech tree with absolutely mind-boggling speed. In my first game, I was literally ready to drop nukes before the birth of Christ. It's absolutely insane.

So in other words, it puts you on a level playing field with Emperor-tier computers.

Completely breaks the game. It's fun for the Single player, a new view on the science progress, but it should be banned from online multiplayer. The leader is the most unbalanced so far. Not only does he discover technologies like crazy, but has a boost that grants you a free building in every new district constructed, which is insanely powerful. Also, rushing military technologies can lead to an army of invincible barbarians, which only you can defeat, making the game horrible for everybody else. Also, if you're playing teams, any tech discovered by your allies is boosted to you, or in this case, you get a free tech.
I really don't like what they are doing with the New Frontier pass, it's OK to add content, it's not OK to include leaders that are pay-to-win.

Babylon's Science Eurekas are too powerful. I like the concept a lot but it is too strong. Great scientists make it even worse. The only thing I seen that slowed the civilization down was late/future era technologies that need your opponents to have late era stuff.

However the hero's was quite fun to play with. I Wish there was a couple more non military ones.

Babylon is a fun single player civ and broken in multiplayer. People who play lot's online will generally hate this new civ and demand nerfs, while people like me who play single player will enjoy it for the unique and fun playstyle. Questing for techs is an entertaining departure from just grinding out science buildings and earning it over time. It lead to me going on a grand quest to find stone to settle to I could finally get a quarry! As for the Heroes mode, that is just plain fun and a good addition. In the end, I greatly enjoyed this content, and think peoples view on it really just depends on if they are playing to have fun, or having fun by playing competitively. Ban the civ in multiplayer and enjoy it in singleplayer.

Breaking News: Babylonian Man builds a copper mine, discovers rifling.

Seriously, the coding on this is currently busted. Probably going to be nerfed. I hit the industrial era in 2000 BC. I liked the other content that came with it, but would recommend banning Babylon from your games until this is fixed.

Imagine Babylon triggering Mass Production and shoving the game into the Renaissance Era. Before you can even get yourself defended, barbarians start spawning musketmen and just kinda run rampant... Civ is OP and the AI even on diety get wrecked... not even by me but by the barb camps spawning swordsmen and crossbowmen when they have Warriors and Archers...

Very interesting idea, terribly executed. I just built a lumber mill and got jettisoned to the Renaissance Era from the Classical. Having Eurekas trigger Science research in its entirety is game-breaking. Imagine Babylon triggering Mass Production and shoving the game into the Renaissance Era. Before you can even get yourself defended, barbarians start spawning musketmen and just kinda run rampant. I say imagine that, but I actually did it myself and boy was it frustrating! Typically the medieval era feels like a blip, but skipping it near entirely was something I didn't envision. Haha! Anyway, I like the idea here but it needs some kind of limitation, lest it render the Eras system all the more broken. Wait until something is done to fix this before buying this one.
