Sigils of Elohim is a free mini-game prelude to Croteam’s upcoming first-person puzzler The Talos Principle that challenges players to solve dozens of formidable sigil puzzles under the watchful eye of Elohim. Der Gott des Polyomino

3 Monate vor der Veröffentlichung des bahnbrechenden The Talos Principle im Dezember 2014 luden die Entwickler von Croteam als Vorgeschmack ein kostenloses Spiel namen Sigils of Elohim auf Steam, um Aufmerksamkeit für ihr Hauptwerk zu generieren.

Dabei handelt es sich um ein simples Puzzlespiel, für das man unterschiedlich viele geometrische Formen in ein vorgegebenes, immer größer werdendes Quadrat einfügen muss. Insgesamt gibt es 96 Levels mit je 4 Schwierigkeitsstufen, sodass man/ich ca. 3 Stunden dafür brauchte.

Graphisch zweckgebunden entspricht das Hintergrundlied einem aus The Talos Principle und schafft eine nette mysteriöse Atmosphäre. Eine Geschichte gibt es keine, der Fokus liegt auf dem kurzweiligen Rätseln, die nebenherlaufende Zeit ist wohl rein kosmetischer Natur.

Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist dabei recht angenehm bis fordernd, je nach Tagesform brauchte ich mal unter einer Minute, mal an die 10 Minuten oder gar länger für einen Level.

Weiteren Anreiz für den Kauf des Hauptspiels sollten neben dem Endscreen einige Codes geben, die in The Talos Principle Inhalte freischalten sollten. Folgende Punkte hierzu, falls jemand es nur deswegen spielen wollen würde:

von den erhaltenen Codes funktionierten für mich nur ein Drittel (4 von 12); den Tipps aus den Forum folgend, schrieb ich an die Supportadresse von Croteam, nach einigen Tagen kam dann die Antwort mit frischen und zahlreichen Codes! So lobe ich das mir!
Die freischaltbaren Inhalte sind: QR-Codes, mit denen man im Spiel Nachrichten für seine Steamfreunde hinterlassen kann; Epitaphen, die Weisheiten oder Sätze freischalten; Botschaften, die als Tipps im Hauptspiel fungieren; Sterne, die einem helfen, alle Rätsel zu lösen.

Das archäologische Etwas: Neben den mittelalterlich anmutenden Klängen hat vor allem der Hintergrund des Startbildschirms meine Aufmerksamkeit erweckt. Hier erstrecken sich römische Wandmalereien, die aus der neapolitanischen Gegend (= Pompeji) stammen müssten. Ebenfalls interessant ist das Konzept, Nachrichten für andere Spieler hinterlassen zu können, eine Art Epigraphiekunde zwischen zwei Spielen, mal sehen, wie sich das ingame in Talos Principle auswirkt.

Code Ein nettes, kleines Puzzlespiel für Zwischendurch, das auch ohne Relation zu The Talos Principle funktioniert. Wer nur auf die Codes aus ist, sei vor deren nicht gegebener Funktionalität gewarnt, der Support schafft aber Abhilfe!

Es ist kostenlos, es enthält den Talos Prinzip Soundtrack und bietet viele Level, bei denen man mit Tetris-ähnlichen Teilen eine rechteckige Fläche komplett abdecken muss. Schafft man eine Reihe solcher Rätsel, gibt es ein digitales Bonbon, das man als Code im richtigen Talos Prinzip einlösen kann.
Somit haben wir einen sehr netten, kurzen und nicht allzu schwierigen Zeitvertreib vorliegen, der Kennern des Hauptspiels aufgrund der musiklaischen Stimmung und der bekannten Sounds den Mund wässrig macht und Nicht-Kennern vielleicht dazu verhilft, sich eines der besten Mystery-Spiele der letzten Jahre näher anzusehen, denn diese Rätsel kommen auch dort vor, indem sie Türen öffnen, sofern man die notwendigen Teil in den einzelnen Levels gesammelt hat.

Sigils of Elohim ist eine Auskoplung aus dem Großartigen Rätzelspiel Talos Principle wo diese art von Rätzel schon vorkam.
Stelle man sich ein sagen wir ein 12x4 Unterteiltes Feld in diesen Maßen vor und hat eine bestimmte anzahl tetrisgeformter steine die man drehen darf wie man will um das gesammte feld auszufühllen so ergibt sich schon das ganze spiel. Am anfang schaft man die Puzzellevel in unter 5 sec aber die lernkurve steigert sich doch kontinuierlich und es macht spass die immer schwerer werdenden Puzzels zu lösen.

Also für mich eine Kaufempfehlung an alle Rätzelfans unter euch.

Dieses Spiel ist für zwischendurch extrem Unterhaltend und strategisch zugleich:) Wer ab und zu etwas gedankenverlorener ist und sich etwas Zeit nehmen will, um ein kleines Minispiel zu spielen, der sollte sich dieses Spiel unbedingt holen:) Es macht Spaß, die Rätsel zu lösen und kostenlos ist das ganze auch:) Wer jedoch kein Fan von nachdenken oder Strategie ist, der ist leider bei dem Spiel falsch. Und wer eine Story sucht, der ist hier genauso wenig richtig.

Fazit: Tolles Minispiel für zwischendurch:)

Puzzles are mediocre in level, just need to focus while doing them. Like a still version of Tetris.
Gets you cool bonuses for the main game, The Talos Principle, which is directly connected to this.

This is a short promo minigame released proir to The Talos Principle and contails a lot of tetris block puzzles for you to solve. It doesn't have any story or even 3D graphics outside of how tetris blocks look, the point of the game is to collect tiny rewards which you can redeem in TTP's main menu like QR codes, epitaph messages, extra messenger hints and even extra stars, 3 of each in total. The relaxing music and presentation make the puzzle solving process calm and relaxing, it's a nice aesthetic.
Is it worth playing? Well, if you want to feel superior to everyone by leaving the sigil master messages on the walls or you need extra stars/hints, it's worth a playthrough. It took me 3 hours to beat every puzzle without using guides, but with a guide you can probably get it done by 20 minutes. If you don't really care then feel free to play The Talos Principle itself and have fun, you won't be missing anything since there's 0 extra context in this game.

Repetitive and not-fun. You fit grim-looking puzzle pieces onto grids. The pieces make clanging metallic sounds. For each set of puzzles you finish, you get a code that supposedly gives you something in the game The Talos Principle. I finished all four sets but have no idea what I got or how to use any of it, and I've made it through almost all of The Talos Principle without it.

As a puzzle lover(and owner of The Talos Principle game), this is a nice and delicate taste of the game The Talos Principle! The Puzzles get harder and harder and sometimes, you give up and try again later on the next day. I really Enjoy the music, the graphic and the thought of this game.

I like puzzle games and this one took some time because I’m not the fastest thinker! Nice graphics, nice sound, chill type game which it appears is my preferred type! Enjoy this puzzler.

If your favorite part of the Talos Principle was the Tetromino puzzles then boy will this be a treat for you.

This is only the Tetromino puzzles and it provides keys for goodies in the game itself, and was originally meant to help advertise the product.

The music makes me want to play the game again even though I will probably blow through the puzzles I've solved already.

Sigils of Elohim is a repetitive puzzle game from Talos Principle with codes for freebies attached. The puzzles are tetromino ones and some are quite challenging. Depending on how good you are in these sort of puzzles, this free game should take you only a few hours.
It gave my old brain a good workout and I did them all without cheating!!! I have a nice old brainache now. There is no variation with these puzzles, but these are good to play in between other games or when you have about 10 minutes up your sleeve.
Recommended only for sigil enthusiasts. 7/10

Tons of puzzles that look fairly simple, but can end up being very challenging to solve. Very fun either on your own or streaming it with friends. The music is absolutely gorgeous

I like geometry. and there is geometric forms in this game. you know what, forget what I said, I don't like geometry but love geometry. I mean, I LOVE geometry. I would like, and I WILL have sex with geometric forms !
that game is simply a really good porn. even tho it's in 2D.

well I know that not everybody have sexual thoughts about geometrical forms. (even tho our community is growing fast) I think is a great game to pass the time. plus there is geometrical forms. plus it's free so there is really nothing to complain about.

Sigils of Elohim is a basic puzzle game. The game is just the tetromino puzzles from the Talos Principle, so if you were good at them give it a try and vice versa. You can get codes that you can use in the Talos Principle. There are four types of codes: bonus stars, bonus messenger hints, bonus QR code paint and cosmetics. I personally don't recomend to use these codes but it's your choice. 8/10

Go play this for 12 extra rewards in The Talos Principle. If you're a spot-on sigil master, it'll take you about an hour to solve all 96 puzzles. If not, then it could take days. Just remember, you're only paying for this game with your brain and not your cash. Contains those nice graphics, music and sounds from the original game.

If you don't like sigil (tetromino) puzzles in the first place and don't own The Talos Principle, then this game will be rather useless for you.
