Also an sich für alle Southpark Fans ein absolutes Must-Play.
Der Humor kommt sehr gut rüber, es fühlt sich an wie eine lange Southpark-Episode mit der Absurdität nochmal auf
ein neues Level getrieben.

Aber ACHTUNG: Ich wäre fast nicht mehr weitergekommen, da die Konsolenportierung für Maus und Tastatur bei manchen Skillcheck Events so schlecht gemacht wurde, das man fast ausrastet...
Scheint ein bekanntes Problem zu sein, dass wohl ignoriert wurde..

Ansonsten mega witzig!

Dieses Spiel ist wirklich eines der besten Spiele die ich je gezockt habe.

Ich kann nicht beurteilen wie es ist wenn man South Park nicht kennt/mag, aber wenn man die Serie so sehr mag wie ich, dann ist es mein Must Have. Man lacht sich beim zocken andauernd einen ab. Es gibt unfassbar viele Insider und die Charakter sind so wie man sie aus der Serie kennt.

Also mein Fazit KAUFEN !!!

The Sticl of Truth ist wirklich ein tolles Spiel. Das einzige was mich stört ist das es auf 30 fps fest ist, aber darüber lässt sich hinweg schauen.

Eines der besten Spiele die ich je gespielt habe. Ich würde dieses Spiel jedem weiterempfehlen da es einfach Laune macht und an sich eine gute Story hat. Das Spiel ist einfach nice des Todes. No Front

South Park: The Stick of Truth ist ein RPG Adventure, dass sich in der South Park-Welt einklingt. Es erschien 2014.

Pro und Con (Details danach)
Pro:
-gute Story
-witzige Dialoge
-keine Bugs
-tolle Umgebung mit vielen Details
-angenehme Steuerung
-so gut wie ungekürzt (im Verhältnis zur Konsolen ver.)

Con:
-Story zu kurz

Die Story ist wirklich sehr gut und die neben Quest lassen sich leicht machen. Leider bietet das Spiel nach dem Hauptgame nichts mehr. Das ist sehr schade, gerade weil die Story sehr kurz ist. Vielleicht hätte man nach dem Hauptgame noch ein paar Quest reinhauen können. Sogar DLC's (die nicht nur Klassen/Kleidung sind) hätten dem Spiel noch gut getan. Selbst Errungenschaften sammeln lohnt sich nur während des Spiels, da einige davon nur während der Hauptstory zu bekommen sind.
Die Umgebung ist super und der Welt von South Parkt treu. Der Humor ist ebenfalls wie in der Serie eins: schwarz wie die Nacht. Wenn man sowas nicht mag oder South park nicht mag sollte man grundsätzlich die Finger von dem Game lassen.
Die Steuerung in der Welt, so wie im Kampf, sind sehr gut. Einfach.Handlich.Passend
Die Charaktere sind genauso wie in der Serie. Komplett durch. Also alles supi wenn es um Dialoge und Handlungen geht.

Alles in allem fand ich South Park: The Stick of Truth sehr gut. Für jeden Fan von South Park und schwarzem Humor ein muss. Däumchen hoch!

Lustige Rundenbasiertes RPG das den Humor von South Park gut einfängt.(traurig das die EU Version nur geschnitten erschienen ist) Problem ist nur das man nach Abschluss der Main Story nicht wirklich mehr etwas zu tun hat(Außer ein paar collectabls) Das MAX LVL hat man bis Storyende Ez erreicht es gibt keine optionalen Bosse oder ähnliches. Zudem ist es auch viel zu einfach.

Absolute Empfehlung für South Park Fans! Und auch für andere die nichts gegen diesen Humor haben.
Die rundenbasierte Kämpfe fühlen sich Toll an und nutzen sich nicht zu schnell ab.

Dieses Spiel war eines der lustigsten Einzelspielerspiele, die ich gespielt hab. Die Story ist genial und man möchte wissen wie es weiter geht. Die Kämpfe zwischendurch sind eine gute Abwechslung und die Missionen sind auch in Ordnung. Auch die Auswahl der Klassen und die verschiedenen Auswahlmöglichkeiten des Geschlechts sind echt ein lustiges Feature.
Es gibt kaum Ladescreens, wie im Vergleich zum zweiten Teil.
Nur Schade, dass es die jugendfreie Version ist, die uncut Version ist bestimmt noch lustiger :)

사우스 파크를 좋아해서 샀지만 정말 재밌는 게임.
오히려 이후에 나온 프랙처드 벗홀보다 훨신 잘 만들었다.
애니메이션 안으로 들어간것 같은 느낌이 참 좋다.

It's essentially a playable episode of South Park. The amount of love and detail is impressive. They could have easily made a half baked game based on the name, but they deliver a fun RPG formula with the freedom to explore and relax or chase quests and collectibles. Both South Park games are equally incredible.

Genuinely feels like an interactive episode of South Park; Stick of Truth offers an enjoyable (if overly simplistic) gameplay while delivering a story which is fresh enough to supplement old themes and tropes of the series in a fun and nostalgic way. The presentation is phenomenal, matching the style and direction of series perfectly, and while gameplay may be lacking for players experienced with RPGs, it is sufficient enough to entertain and compliment the layered nature of the story.

Highly recommended game for anyone who likes South Park, but if the humour and style is not your thing there is probably little in this for you.

Typical south park, inappropriate hilarity done from the children's perspective and clearly not for everyone, yet the only complaint I have at all it the length of the game. You could easily speed run it in a day or two if you ignore all the side quests. Other than that I would fully recommend it.

It was literally made like a episode or a season of south park. Get it and enjoy all the references to the past seasons and some commentary on what was going on at the time when the game came out. Just do one thin- well two. Don't bother with the DLC and Don't ever. ever... fart on another guy's balls.

Let me start off by saying this game feels and looks like a South Park Movie. So far I've completed the main story and all of the side quests I know of so far, and this game has kept me busy when I want time to fly. The Main story of this game is super entertaining and humorous, as for the quests in Stick of Truth, they take you around South Park and into Canada which leads you to have hilarious interactions and lets you visit nostalgic places from the show. The game always knows how to keep you entertained, whether its fighting a giant abortion, watching Jesus mow down enemies with an AK, buying weapons and armor from a hobo, or just watching Cartman follow you around south park as a Buddy. This game is laughable, fun, and anything you'd expect from a South Park game. Would recommend this game to anybody that has watched more than a couple seasons of South Park and I could restart and replay this game again and again to pass time and laugh my ass off.

What a fantastic game! You can summon Jesus, learn fart magic, chase gnomes and fight for the Stick of Truth with your buddies. I haven't watched more than 2 seasons of the series but had no problem, game is very enjoyable even if you don't have full knowledge of South Park universe. I loved every minute of it.
Strongly recommended.

one of the best games; i really enjoyed playing it (two times)

VERY sad i didnt liked the sequel (The Fractured but Whole)
i really wanted a game CLOSE to stick of truth, but they made it too complicated/complex for me with all that crafting stuff they added - imo very unnecessary...

BUT stick of truth i recommend everyone who loves south park..
and everyone who want to make fun of Jesus (i mean, its southpark)

If you're a fan of South Park, I highly recommend you get this game. There is a TON of South Park humor in this game, which is exactly what you want from this kind of game. The RPG elements are a bit limited, but not so limited that you feel like it's lacking. It just feels a bit dumbed-down, but that by no means makes the game bad.

Anyone going for achievements, you can get 100% in one solid run. Might have to reload a couple times to different spots in the game to clean up loose ends but that is no big deal. Took me about 10 hours total. TIP: If you're trying to collect all the weapons and costumes, you do NOT need to have them all in your inventory at the same time. For some reason, not a single guide I read mentioned this. You just need to pick up the item one time and it will count towards your collection. This means you don't need to do unnecessary grinding for cash, simply collect everything until the end of the game, then sell everything to buy what you're missing. This also goes for items sold only in Canada. Simply sell items to the shops there and they will give Canadian currency. :)

A bit glitchy when it comes to audio but other than that i love this game. the references are hilarious and well thought out. ive always loved the show its nice to play something where i feel like im apart of it. Overall id give this game a 9/10 it would be a 10/10 if there where no bugs in audio and very rarely combat but dont let that deter you. This game will have you playing and laughing for hours.

I did 4+ playthroughs and although the game is short it's still fun. Some classes are a bit more stronger than others. For ex: Fighter or Thief feel way more stronger than mage and although I haven't finished my jew playthrough it kinda feels like a watered down thief it feels a little stronger than Fighter, but I might just have been playing mage or jew wrong cause I mainly play Thief. When it comes to their replayability in the end, you will generally wear the same gear in the end of the game as every other playthrough. And also once in a while, for me at least the cut scenes would be buggy where my character / other characters would vanish and flash in and out of cut scenes, but that's an easy fix. But still it's the game is fun and there are a lot of good side quests and funny cut scenes / dialog. Another good thing is that some enemies you can either refight or fight at anytime of the game level up / get more powerful as you do. Game is fun would definitely recommend.

The humor in South Park is not for everyone, and even if you like it, it might end up as a hit or miss depending on the episodes or the scene. I want to tell you a bit of trivia about how South Park is made: The episodes are written, recorded, and animated in 6 days. This is done so the show can comment on current events close to when they happen, and also done so they can stop second guessing themselves. My favorite episode, is the one about World of Warcraft. Blizzard helped them make the episode, and they couldn't stop thinking that the episode was going to be their worst episode ever made, and they wanted to pull out. But they released it, and the episode is considered the best of the show, and it also received awards!

Where I want to go with this? It was just an excuse to make you learn about South Park. My apologies.

Anyways, the game is decent and good; some parts are hilarious, interesting, and immersive. Others, not so much. Just like in the show. So it's pretty much a given that if you like the show and also enjoy light RPGs akin to Child of Light, you'll definitely like this game.

Features & cons:

Open world game with unlockable locations as you progress in the story. It has many secrets, and a few side quests.
A variety of playable characters, each of them with unique abilities. Mixing them to create a synergy is great fun.
An alright story of the kids playing make believe, as such, they often breath the 4th wall between the characters, which in my opinion is quite fun and makes for a type of comedy that is not common.
Turn-based mixed with QTEs combat, it's fun when you start playing but grows stale and repetitive after a while.
Voice acting is great, soundtrack is epic, and the design used for the abilities not only fit the world, but it makes them quite amazing to behold.
You can fart on people while roaming.
Feels like an extended episode from the show, the writing when it hits is superb.

All in all, worth your attention, especially if you're a fan. Pretty decent game, but I wouldn't pay more than 15€ for it.

Obsidian nailed it. It’s as though you’re playing through a South Park episode, and that’s awesome. Great combat system, tons of fan service and loads of humor make this an easy recommendation. Most of the South Park gang is present and ready to throw around some great quests, along with funny one-liners. A very good RPG made even better by it being Sourh Park.

Douchebag to the rescue!

This game, holy fuck, I love what Obsidian did with it. Even Ubisoft didn't ruin it. If you watch South Park you probably know the humor and characters are great.

This is a turn based rpg made by pioneers of rpg games – Obsidian. This is probably the reason why it's good.
You create your character, choose your class and start fart...i mean playing. There are four classes to choose from:

Fighter whose purpose is to kick a fucking ass. You can be white or black fighter of course.
Mage. It's like a wizard.
Thief. You can backstab and cause bleeding.
Jew. They get stronger when they're suffering.

You then embark on a journey of farting and fighting your enemies. Turn based combat is quite fun and opens quite a lot of possibilities to beat your enemies. There are regular attacks, then there are abilities and special attacks. You can inflict various statuses to your enemies, use defensive abilities and so on. Full fledged turn based rpg.
You play as a new kid but your friends are the guys from the series. There are some hilarious cut-scenes and dialogues, especially everything involving Cartman.

The story is the usual South Park story you see on TV. There's a lot of humor which might not be to everyone's liking. There are things which cannot be unseen, mark my words. But that's the burden of a douchebag.
You can travel in several areas in the city and meet many characters from the TV series or even enter the butthole and explore it. Or do an abortion. The whole game is hilarious, like a really long South Park episode. The whole city with buildings to enter is there for you to explore.
Some side activities might seem boring so I just skipped those. I think they could've been more fun but I guess a game without pointless and boring side activities wouldn't be published by Ubisoft.

Graphics are exactly like TV series which I guess is a perfect thing. Would be weird to have this game in 3D huh? Runs on potatoes so don't worry about your PC specs.
Sound obviously is great with awesome voice acting and music. All the dialogues are well voiced just like the TV show.

This game is a must have for South Park fans. If you like the TV series and rpg's you'll like this game. If you don't like South Park, find it offensive for some reason, don't even try this.

If you love the South Park franchise, you will love Stick of Truth.
The gameplay mechanics is turn based RPG which some people may or may not like but it fits into the theme of characters pretending to be medieval fantasy role players.
The rest of the game's content is exactly what you would expect from South Park in terms of humour, cut scenes, quests, and character personality.
Bottom line: If you like South Park, get this game. You will not be disappointed.

I grew up watching South Park so being able to walk around the town with the boys and interact with all the side characters was really quite fun. Great game with hilarious enemies and dialogue. Finally fans get a good South Park game.

I've waited 5 years to play this game, never been happier in my life. I may have seen people on YouTube playing this game dozens of times and only have 8 hours of game play, but the game is still highly enjoyable.

I had previously played the stick of truth, so when it popped up on steam i thought great ill have another go at it. I was disappointed to find out the this version had been censored for australian players. I tried to get a refund as no where on the store page did it mention that it was missing content. But alas no, the point where it become noticeable was more than 10 hours in and steam declined. If you buy a south park game you know what you are getting yourself into, there is no reason it should be censored. Positive review for the game but negative review for steam and their grubby refund policies. This game far outshines fractured but whole.

I have never been a fan of turn-based combat games, with the exception of civilization, but this caught my eye when it was first announced. Finally after being on sale yet again, bundled with the sequel, I decided to try it out.
All the humor from the tv show is here. In the bedroom closets, billboards around town, and even some characters and interactions have some tie-ins to an episode. At 35 years old, I only recently got into watching the south park series. I can't believe I used to hate this show.
Graphics: While not over the top, it looks like you are watching the show. My only complaint is there is no easy fix for 21:9 widescreen.
Audio: Pretty much the same as above. Music is pretty funny.
Gameplay: Very easy to pick up and play. Not too difficult. Can get repetitive.
Replayability: At time of this review, I have not beat the game yet. I am not sure if there is a reason to play again *SPOILER ALERT* [spoiler] except to change which side you choose to fight for, but in the end it doesn't matter as bother forces come together. [/spoiler]
Value: Pick up on sale. Not enough content for me at $30.
Overall: 89/100 B+

If you have roughly 9-10 hours of free time this is a good time waster. Though the story goes fairly quickly and the pacing feels off. Definitely give it a play if you want some context to The Fractured but Whole. There's some good laughs and worth the time it takes to play.

This game is gold, all the references, either to the show or to other fantasy films, shows, books or games are so well done it will make you laugh more than once. Even if you're not familiar with the show I recommend taking a look, it's a turn based RPG, set in South Park. Story is crazy and funny, and the most important thing: They Killed Kenny! You Bastards!

Really captures what makes South Park great, and even manages to be decently fun RPG while at it. The RPG-system, as well as the combat, is relatively simple, but with enough mechanics to allow you some wiggleroom and come up with some fun strategies/builds. That being said, the main draw of the game is how well The Stick of Truth captures South Park, and not the gameplay, as it can be a little lacklustre at times.

However, if you like South Park, you'll likely get a kick out of this game in any case.

Anytime this game is on sale, even full price if it isn't, it's a must have ! I don't really go into details to express my enjoyment of a south park game, watching the show and having all of these references makes me so happy already. It's literally just a RPG turn based game. Considering it's South Park, obviously the humor isn't for any kids or sensitive people. But if you have balls, then this game is perfect for you.

...Consider buying The Fractured But Whole as well. Amazing !

[h1]The Stick of Truth makes one thing abundantly clear: I never want to play another South Park video game made without Trey Parker and Matt Stone's direct, intimate involvement. With a controller in your hand, you are almost literally – gloriously – playing a 14-hour episode of South Park. There’s much, much more here for series fans than the uninitiated, but it’s a light but good quality role-playing game in its own right. It is, in a way, Season 18 all by itself. It is funny, shocking, self-effacing, and pretty much everything I could ask for from a South Park game - even if it’s mostly a one-and-done experience.

This game is absurd

In a positive sense. South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ is a game based on a controversial series in which we play the role of a boy who has moved into town with his parents. The story is based on kids playing in a fantasy world, where the most powerful weapon is The Stick of Truth, which enables control over the universe. During the game we will meet various characters from the series such as Cartman.

It's worth to start with the fact that the game is full of jokes about poo, farting, and there are erotic themes, homophobia, and even we will have to face the Nazi zombies. If you don't mind, you can have fun during the game. There's no need to deceive yourself that this game will not appeal to everyone, many will be disgusted or even offend their feelings. It should also be said that the creators of the game make fun of other games or imitate them.

We can not forget about the fact that the whole game takes place in the city where our main character lives, but we will also visit other locations, such as an alien ship or even the inside of the body of some characters. (it may seem strange, but that's the game).

Because of the fact that this is an RPG, there can be no lack of typical RPG elements. At the beginning of the game we choose one of four character classes. During the game, we gain equipment, and our clashes with opponents are stunning in different skills. For this we can choose our own way of character development. Fights are played in turn-based system, so we can plan every move and think about it calmly. With time, however, the fights become easy even at a higher level of difficulty.

Summary

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a game you either love or hate. I have to admit that I personally liked the game very much. The plot is interesting, the graphics are pleasant, just like in the series. Satire and irony make the game more atmospheric and make me sit smiling throughout the game.

From all games based in different franchises, this is the first game that really makes me feel like I am a character of the TV show. Not any character, but the most awesome and incredible from South Park. I don't want to be friends with Kyle, Stan, Eric, Butters, Kenny and Jimmy. NO, they want to be my friends!

I will not spoil it, but player be warned: you will see a few things that probably are not suitable for TV, even considering South Park standards.

Great game! I loved it and I recommend it 100%

SOUTH PARK: THE STICK OF THE TRUTH

South Park is the game that real fans of the series have been waiting for. The first game of the universe, which isn't crap. We're playing as the new kid, who just moved into a new city. Our goal is to make friends. We can choose our side between elves and humans..

PROS:

-different classes of character (jew, mage, thief, warrior)
-many easter eggs
-graphics similar to the series'
-black humour
-beautiful location
-soundtrack
-ridiculous storyline
-many friends to meet
-possibility of modifying your character
-controversial issues

CONS:

-the combat system becomes monotonous after a while
-short storyline
-missable chinpokomons
-have to play more than once to complete all achievments

After finishing the game, there is no other option not to watch at least one episode of the series

This is a fun game

It's written by the creators of the show and it has the gameplay simular to Paper Mario.
The game is a turn based RPG that refrences some South park episodes and making:
- fart jokes
- PP jokes
- gay jokes
- r@%e jokes
- nazi jokes
- abortion jokes
- racist jokes
- jokes about other videogame tropes

If all off the above doens't bother you I strongly reccomend the game.
Oh and takes around 3 playthrought to get all the achievments + watching 21 episodes to get all the direct refrences ( or at least s17e07,08,09 - Game of Thrones trilogy for the prequel) + the rest of the show up to season 17 to understand the easter eggs ( closet props, item descriptions, ect.)

Great game for any south park fan. Alot of TV references from early 2010s to 2014 episodes
It's so funny. The only thing annoying were the combat tutorials in this game. Also I should say this isn't appropriate for kids under 12.

The game is very faithful to the show and long time fans will enjoy some truly old school call backs to the early days of the show. There are other surprises completely new for the game that are very cool to experience as well. The end of the game does start to feel long in the tooth, but overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to play the sequel.
