Ranked Play
What faction you play with is up to you - but the map will be decided by the game.
When heading into the versus screen, you'll be shown an overview of playable factions and playable maps. You can choose any of the six playable factions, or roll the dice and let the game decide for you!
For each faction, you will have a separate Ranked Rating. This Ranked Rating will have an initial value, placing you right in the middle of the playing field. Playing ranked games with a certain faction will adjust your Ranked Rating for this faction, allowing you to play all factions in Ranked Play without having to worry about conflicting skill levels and ratings.
Matchmaking
The game will automatically pick both opponent and map for you. The Ranked Map Pool consists of maps specifically tailored for competitive play in collaboration with our community. To make things fair, you can dislike up to 3 maps. These maps will have the lowest priority during automatic selection, but can still be chosen by the game if no match would otherwise be found within a reasonable amount of time.
Whether you choose unranked or ranked, we have implemented a new matchmaking system that will make sure you will always face opponents of similar skill level and experience. If you decide to play an unranked match, you will not lose or win any points and will also not be placed into any competitive leagues or leaderboards.
Leaderboards
The Top 100 will be visible to everyone ingame!
Your success in Ranked Play will earn you a spot in one of our 5 leagues as well as the leaderboards. Depending on your success, you will be placed into one of the following leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. The very best of the best will also be listed in our Top 100 and remembered as legendary Commanders of Eo!
Depending on your performance, you will gain or lose points.
Facing off against opponents in ranked games means that every match counts: winning or losing will result in points being added or removed from your Ranked Rating. You will have to slowly climb the ranks and prove your worth as a Commander over time. In addition to Ranked Rating points, ranked games will also award experience for your faction level, to show how experienced you are with a certain faction.
To become the very best, however, you need to master all 6 competing Factions of Eo!
