Cooles game
Gute grafik,viele attacken,schönes leveldesign,und als superheld nen elefanten der sogar wasser verspritzt :)
Für reduzierte 3.24€ aktuell auf jeden fall wert.
Ausserdem gibts auch eine Demo zum spielen im Shop.

- etwas der Preis
- Steuerung führt gerade gegen Ende öfters zum Tod
- mit Tastatur sollte man das Game nicht spielen
- Story schwach

Ingesamt schöner Plattformer, der zwar seine Schwächen hat, wie jedes Game, aber dennoch schön zu spielen ist. Dadurch das die Story nicht relavant ist, kann man es eher als Gelegenheitsspiel betrachten.

Ein schön und liebevoll designtes klassisches Jump'n'Run Spiel mit einem Elefanten in der Hauptrolle. Das Erdnussklischee wird bestens bedient.
Wer die Art von Spielen mag, wird auch hier nicht enttäuscht. Ich empfehle mit Controller zu spielen, da sie mit Tastatur mMn zu unpräzise ist.

Leider unspielbar , Mein Xbox controller funktioniert zwar aber das game scheint völlig verbuggt zu sein ich springe und danach geht leider nix mehr :-/

Hab mich gefreut auf das Spiel und dann lässt es sich nur über umwege starten. Wenn es dann läuft ist es quasi nur die Demo. Keine Deutsche Sprachausgabe bzw. auch andere Sprachen sind nicht verfügbar. Nur Englisch. Setting werden nicht gespeichtert usw. Der Release ist mal richtig verkorkst! Ich bin echt sauer darüber, wie man so einen Bockmist machen kann! Bin übrigens nicht der einzige damit. Dieses Problem hat jeder, egal welches Land. Im Community Hub kann man zu genüge lesen über das Problem. 24 Stunden geb ich dem Hersteller/Publisher zeit, sonst wird es zurückgegeben.

Short and sweet. I was shocked by how good the level design was, it's very much on par with Nintendo's flagship platformer titles. There's a little bit of a learning curve to controlling Tembo as they have a lot of functions mapped to the dash button, but once you learn how to control them it feels fun, methodical, and rewarding. The game is surprisingly difficult. I had a few game overs on my playthrough, however it's not brutally difficult. I would only die once or twice on a stage, but it meant that I was running out of lives after playing a few stages. Fortunately, you are given 5 lives on game overs, which should be more than enough to prevent you from getting stuck on any stage.

Looking for a Quick 2D side scroller fix?
Would highly recommend Tembo!
Develop by the Pokemon devs, the game has great music, sounds and good lvls.

Its a really fun action platformer with some good humor and Tembo is a loveable character.
SEGA please make a sequel.

Just finished the game.

Honestly, comparing it to something like Super Mario or Sonic? It's a rather silly mentality. It's a platformer.

The first few levels are easy. But the difficulty jumps up rather quickly making this something to not push aside.
The gameplay is surprisingly simple but fun. The level design is fun. At the start there is a bit of exploration to do but near the middle of the game, it becomes rather strict. Which is both a good thing and a bad one. A good thing because it's less difficult to find the collectibles. Which aren't really important to finishing the game. You progress by having to defeat a certain number of enemies. As you progress through the levels it's not difficult to do so. How you go about it though? That's where the game has you on your toes.

The even later levels become increasingly difficult. If this is your first platformer game you will have a difficult time playing it. As a veteran? You will find some fun in this.

- rather easy ones you understand the gameplay (A good and bad thing honestly)
- rather short (which is also a good and bad thing if you're looking for a long game)
- Saving people is just there for added collecting but not important.
- No rewards for saving a certain amount of people

Overall for the price, it's not bad if you are into platforming games and are looking for something to pick up and play and beat in a few hours. It took me about 2 hours and 30 minutes to beat from start to finish. No REAL point on collecting EVERYTHING unless you're a die hard fan of achievements. Overall a good fun experience to be had. On top of that, being an elephant running around kicking ass is overall a great experience.

I played the demo on PS4 and really liked it. I bought this on some Humble Bundle. Don't do the same mistake as me. On PC it runs on like 5FPS for no reason. I've seen poorly optimized asset-flip Unity games running at a higher frame rate than this. WTF Sega and Game Freak? If I were Unity I would pay them to took the Unity logo from the game.
Shit is unplayable and too bad since it's pretty nice.
I have no idea if it's because the game seems to hate laptops (and as a Unity developer myself I have no idea how to detect it) or having a controller connected which kinda beats the purpose of playing the game.

It's interesting seeing Game Freak outside the context of their Pokemon wheelhouse, and Tembo has a really interesting visual style to it. There's a decent amount of fun to be had playing the game, but the imprecise controls can lead to some frustrating situations, and overall the game doesn't bring anything too interesting. Only pick it up if you're super interested.

EDIT: The more I play it, the more I dislike it. Don't bother.

not a bad game. But does not have full joystick support. Can't configure joystick without the game going hawire. No patches found.

Couldn't even play the first level because Tembo decided to [spoiler] game [/spoiler] freak out and glitch a bunch. Restart didn't help, nor did switching to keyboard.

There is a lot of positive things like good level design, destructive environment, responsive control, reasonable difficulty, beautiful graphics, sense of humor and variety of moves. There are also some negatives like the absence of upgrades, generic enemies and some annoying passages. Some co-op multiplayer would also suit the game.

I'm not sure what was up with the game, but the control were very buggy. I couldn't walk at all, and the only way to move was by rolling or sprinting. Jumping would fly me off of the screen and it was difficult to leave a roll action as it required me to press down but even that didn't work reliably.

I ran through this game in about 5 hours, but I was really playing into it, and have played lots of platformers before. I'd recommend this game for anyone who loves a good platformer, there's a lot here for them. A steady 4/5.

What I would say, however, is that there's a lot here, but it's not used much. What that means is, that there's a lot of assets and mechanics that are in this game and they all work extremely well. There's a lot of ideas here. But there's not enough content that would let me give this game a 5/5. What I would recommend to the developers would be to offer some type of map editor or something like that. That way there's a lot more replayability, and there can be a community. I was grinning ear to ear when I got up to the third world and all of those switch and pinball mechanics came into play. However, the game abruptly ends after that without much use of the mechanics. Those interesting cactus plants in the second world only got used twice.

If I had an editor for this, I would make tons of levels. Tembo is a joy to control and has a ton of interesting moves and ways to move. The ideas for levels would definitely flow. The levels that are offered are all well constructed but they feel like examples to something more rather than a full game by themselves. After completing the game, I was only left wanting more.

Once more, I give this game a 4/5. Amazingly put together and constructed, but lacking any real replayability, and leaving the player wanting more, much more!

Despite a hiccup at launch, the game is now running smoothly for me and seemingly everyone else.

The best 2D platformer since Rayman Legends. I have seen lots of comparrisons to Sonic and Metal Slug but to me it feels more like the Donkey Kong Country series. You collect peanutes instead of bananas and humans instead of coins.

Leaderboards for individual levels which is cool.

Great art direction and animation, controls...everything works. Has a very polished feel overall, not suprising since it was made by one of the most succesful game studios ever, albeit for a totally different genre of game.

Gotta catch em all! Humans and Peanuts that is. I bet elephants get pretty Ashy. That's all the Pokepuns I got at the moment.
