The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe ist ein First-Person-Erkundungsspiel. Es ist eine erweiterte Neuauflage des hochgelobten und preisgekrönten Indie-Spiels The Stanley Parable aus dem Jahr 2013.

Als der einfältige Stanley feststellt, dass die Kollegen in seinem Büro auf mysteriöse Weise verschwunden sind, macht er sich auf die Suche nach Antworten.

Man spielt als Stanley und man spielt nicht als Stanley. Man trifft eine Entscheidung und man bekommt Entscheidungen abgenommen. Das Spiel endet und das Spiel endet niemals. Widerspruch folgt Widerspruch, die Spielregeln werden gebrochen und dann nochmal gebrochen. Es geht nicht ums Gewinnen. The Stanley Parable ist ein Spiel, das mit dir spielt.

Was ist neu?
Alles aus dem ursprünglichen Stanley Parable ist erhalten geblieben, genau wie im Jahr 2013. Aber The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe erweitert die Welt des Originalspiels ausgiebig um neue Inhalte, neue Entscheidungen und neue Geheimnisse zum Aufdecken. Das Labyrinth ist nur noch größer geworden.

Darüber hinaus wurde das Spiel optisch aufgewertet, um moderner Technologie gerecht zu werden, während gleichzeitig der Charakter des Originalspiels beibehalten wird. Außerdem wurde das Spiel um Barrierefreiheit-Funktionen erweitert, darunter die Übersetzung von In-Game-Texten, Optionen für Farbenblinde und Inhaltswarnungen.

Und wie zuvor begleitet einen die unfehlbare Stimme von Kevan Brighting auf Schritt und Tritt.

In The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe wurde alles Altbekannte rekreiert, und doch ist es irgendwie anders. Hier war man schon mal, oder? Ist Stanley immer noch derselbe wie damals? Oder hat man selbst sich verändert?

An impossible to review experience, one I would love to forget just to be welcomed by the narrator for the first time again!

There is nothing I can really say here, without spoiling this amazing game, to convince you to buy it. This is basicly, breaking the 4th wall - the game, but even that wont do it justice. It is a one of a kind experience among countless games you can find on steam. If you have played the original, then you know what to expect and yet you will still be surprised by all the new stuff, if you did not play the original, then thats all the more reason to get this. The only downside i can think of is probably the price and the length of the game, it took me around 7 hours to get all the endings, so take that into account and maybe wait for a sale, other than that, I have no complaints and can only wish for more from the devs in the future. Give it a try, trust me, you won't regret it :)
