Die Menschheit hat die Erde in ein trockenes Ödland verwandelt und ist untergegangen. Einigen Tierarten ist es jedoch gelungen, sich anzupassen und sich weiterzuentwickeln. Wähle eine der Biberfraktionen aus und finde heraus, wie lange deine Kolonie überleben kann!

Bibergesellschaften
Übernimm die Kontrolle über eine von zwei Biberfraktionen: de naturverbundenen Rustikalruten oder die tüchtigen Eisenzähne – mit jeweils einzigartigem Stil, Gebäuden und Gameplay-Eigenschaften. Wähle, was zu deinem Spielstil passt!

Nass- und Trockenzeiten
Bereite deine Siedlung auf wiederkehrende Dürreperioden vor. Lege Vorräte an und bewirtschafte Äcker und Wälder auch nach dem Austrocknen von Flüssen. Verlasse dich sowohl auf natürliche Wasserquellen als auch auf künstliche Bewässerung, um den Boden urbar zu machen.

Flussbau
Die Biber der Zukunft haben jahrtausendelange Erfahrung im Wasserbau. Errichte Dämme und Schleusen, grabe Kanäle mit Sprengstoff und leite Flüsse um, um das Leben ins Ödland zurückzubringen. Sei aber vorsichtig mit dem Dynamit.

Lumberpunk
Verwandle Holz in ausgeklügelte Maschinen – von Wasserrädern und Sägewerken zu Motoren und mechanischen Pumpen. Holz ist die Hauptressource in Timberborn. Für einige hochentwickelte Bauten benötigst du jedoch Metall, für das Plünderer die Ruinen der alten Welt durchforsten müssen.

Roboter
Statte deine Kolonie mit mechanisierten Bibern aus! Treibe sie an, halte sie instand und du bekommst äußerst effiziente Arbeiter für nahezu jeden Auftrag. Mit ihrer einzigartigen Fähigkeit, Landblöcke zu errichten, werden sie buchstäblich Berge für dich versetzen.

Vertikale Architektur
Erschaffe eine blühende Bibersiedlung mithilfe eines vertikalen Architektursystems. Der Platz ist begrenzt, staple deine Hütten und Werkstätten also aufeinander, baue Plattformen und Brücken und errichte ein Stromnetz für deine wachsende Bevölkerung.

Tag-Nacht-Zyklus
Baue eine Stadt mit mehreren Stadtteilen, effizienten Produktionsketten und nächtlichen Aktivitäten. Verfolge das tägliche Leben der individuell simulierten Bewohner und feiere die Geburt neuer Generationen!

Wohlbefinden
Moderne Biber wollen mehr im Leben als nur arbeiten, schlafen und Holz knabbern. Befriedige die Bedürfnisse deiner Nagetiere mit ausgewogener Ernährung, Dekorationen, Monumenten und mehr und halte darüber hinaus auch die Kolonie am Leben.

Karteneditor
Spiele auf einer der enthaltenen Karten oder erstelle deine eigene und teile sie mit der Community! Aufgrund der unterschiedlich hohen Hügel, der in der Wüste verstreuten Ruinen und dem lebensnotwendigen Zugang zu Wasser stellt jede Karte eine andere Herausforderung dar.

Auch wenn ich gerade mal 4 Stunden gespielt habe, muss ich sagen, dass ich das Spiel mag. Ich bin mit meiner Kolonie erst am Anfang, habe auch den Fehler gemacht, sie zweimal zu überschwemmen^^ (Muss noch viel über Wasser und Staudämme lernen :D )

Aber ich denke, wenn es erst mit meiner Kolonie läuft, ich endlich Eisen abbauen kann und die Dürren gut kontrolliere, dann beginnen die ganzen Experimente, wie Aquädukte, Seestädte und dergleichen.

Ein schönes Aufbauspiel, wo es mal nicht ums Kämpfen geht und einfach Spaß hat. Die Biber sind niedlich anzuschauen, die Geräuscheffekte sind cool und überhaupt das gesamte System der Wasserkontrolle macht echt Spaß. Ist fast wie Terraforming, nur mit Bibern.

Ich gebe dem Spiel noch keine endgültige Wertung, das es erst am Anfang ist, aber sobald mal ein große Updates da sind, denke ich noch mal drüber nach. Aber fürs Erste: Daumen hoch :)

Bereits die Demo war überzeugend, weshalb ich das Spiel gekauft habe.Es ist (noch) kein Meisterwerk, aber DEFINITV Potential. An sich ähnelt die Spielmechanik vielen Aufbausimulationen mit Katastrophen. Die Idee mit den Biebern ist süß und bringt auch einige neue spielerische Ideen mit sich. Aktuell gib es 2 verschiedene Völker mit ihren eigenen Vor- und Nachteilen.
Ich hoffe die Entwickler machen so weiter, implementieren weitere Völker oder Szenarien.
Für ein Early Access aber definitiv sehr gut spielbar.

Awesome game, tons of fun. Cute visuals, complex and satisfying gameplay, great soundtrack. City builder gone vertical (like playing with LEGO), with individually simulated citizens and goods. Plus terraforming and water mechanics (canals & dams, droughts), nearly endless possibilities. 10/10

Fun gameplay, doesnt get boring since theres a lot to manage and to improve, build.

some quality of life things could be worked on with the building, paths etc. (for example indicators for range & stairs taking up less space and being able to be accessed from 3 points not just 1)
but the building also gives you a lot of freedom to explore and build in your own style :)

i would recommend after 15h

it´s a really nice game and fun to play with the terrain, but now after 45h I more than finished the wood ones. I just terraformed the land. I looked into the ironteeth ones and thought they are purely different, but they only have some buildings which are different some make other problems disapear and some apear. So the fractions are balanced at the moment imo. I just don´t thing I will play the iron teeth ones, because I think it would be a new start where i dont have the problems with watter and so at the beginning like with the normal ones.

Still I recommend the game if you like a slow pace building game

Ein wunderschönes Siedlerspiel welches schon alleine 100 von 10 Punkten bekommt für seine Musikalische Untermalung !
Der Rest ist liebevoll designt von unbändiger Kraft und Schönheit gestaltet und ja ich kann sagen ich bin glücklich ,DANKE ^^

Yes, i like it a lot. First of all, Sorry to all beavers who died of first or so. Yes sometimes its challenging and a well grown Population can die in a long drought, but it is fun to rise an Empire. Still in Early Access so im looking foreward to new Buildings or races of Beaver.

Is life disappointing and boring? You can completely abandon your life and start a beaver colony. My girlfriend abandoned me and my parents think i'm dead, but my colony is doing great.

Bravo to the devs for consistent and regular updates - In addition to listening to the feedback from the players. I've played alot of indie colony games but timberborn continues to be a cozy one that I enjoy seeing these crazy updates on my news page for. Not like your standard early access games where they almost never actually release, that's for sure. I can see a release on the horizon and I'm glad I bought the game to see how it's evolving.

DAMN! Whoops, I mean DAMS! I F****** LOVE THIS GAME! (I nolife'd 18h in 2 days)

- Great variety of buildings and functions, even for an early access title;
- Stock up food, wood and specially water, build bigger dams, prepare yourself for the drought;
- Grow even more your base;
- Reject humanity, return to [strike]monke[/strike] beaver!
- Running like a finish game, no crashes, just those autosave mini-stutters, which is normal;
- The only downside, in my opinion, is the 'district system' which you have to build new bases (from scratch) if you want to expand.

Played the smallest map on hard and sent half my beavers to a vacant district so the other half could survive draught. Would recommend.

Until the devs remove the mandatory use of districts, I can't honestly recommend this game. The mechanic wrecks the mid/late game progression and doesn't work well.

In short, you're not allowed to build beyond a relatively small radius; anything beyond that, you have to build an ENTIRE new village separate from the first and if you want them to share resources, you have to use an AWFUL pick-up/drop-off station that barely works. Prepare for any beavers in the new district to starve several times over before your laborers start actually prioritizing food, regardless of how you set them up.

Before that point, though, it's actually pretty cute and chill.

A fun little builder/survival esque management game. It has a great lookign art style and it is overall well designed for the stage of development it is in.

One of the best things about it, is that with proper management you can have your entire place run on its own. No joke I have left the game running overnight as I slept to test and I came back to a town still going strong, In fact now it is a paradise as all the work is done by robots and the bevers are just chilling.

The one thing that needs to some looking at is the balance between the two factions, at this moment the ironteeth are clearly ahead because of the ability to use the engine, which means you can power on everything constantly. The base faction is however entirely dependent on wind and water. The gravity battery helps a little, but it falls short to really keep a larger industrial zone running when the wind dies down again.

After getting wiped out a few times, I finally got the hang of keeping all the beavers alive. I am enjoying the challenge (on normal) of building up my population. I am currently tackling expanding by creating new territories, and getting resources to be shared.
The tutorial could use some love. The learning curve was a bit rougher than I'd have liked.
I am looking forward to trying the other beaver race. Definitely getting a lot of fun out of playing this one.

Timberborn is delightfully calming, yet challenging! You won't chew through this game fast! ;) Map editor and fine tuning of difficulty ensures that all kinds of players will enjoy this game. Both the included maps and community made ones will keep you wanting to start new settlements and build bigger, better beaver colonies.

The tutorial could use some work, as it is fairly slow and only covers the essentials for survival. You will want to start another world after completing it!! Although this is a game about beavers, and it seems like this should be obvious, the tutorial really should directly mention that beavers can swim and build things that manipulate bodies of water.

While we wait with bated breath for the absolute catastrophe that will be Settlers 8(?), Timberborn is already a pretty neat alternative. And good thing you play beavers who don't drown if playing with the cool water system goes wrong...
Not a huge fan of the current (small) district system, can get a bit annoying, apparently used for performance reasons. Hope it get's a rethink.
Other than that already amazing.
