We are happy to announce that tomorrow the Chosen Warriors update for Total War: ARENA will go live. This update brings 4 new Barbarian sword units to the battlefield. To learn more, check out this unit spotlight:

The Warriors at Tier 4 have a level of training that makes them much more than a simple rag-tag Warband. They are light, fight well in a forest and can obtain the Pattern Round Shield if upgraded, which gives them the Shield Bash order.

The Proven Warriors at Tier 6 have survived long enough to be considered proven in battle and ferocity. Like the Warriors before them, they are Light and perform well in forests. They also have a diverse selection of equipment to choose from.

Andarta’s Swords at Tier 7 are ferocious female warriors. They too are a light unit that perform well in forests and have diverse upgrade trees. This allows them to obtain several unit orders such as Hamstring; an ability that can cripple an enemy unit’s speed.

The Chosen Swordsmen at Tier 8. These are Warriors, chosen by the gods for their skill, proficiency and viciousness. Their upgrade tree allows a multitude of visual customizations as well as statistical effects. Like all the units in this update this they are in the light unit type and will fight best in the forest.
