Schöne Weltraum Simulation mit der Funktion eigene Systeme zu erstellen.
Das relativ kurz darauf die zweite Version des Spieles zum Vollpreis raus kam, war etwas ärgerlich.
Und ja - dafür sind 25 Euro ein Vollpreis!

Universe Sandbox 1 kann ich nur empfehlen, wenn man dies bis max. 5€ bekommt.
Ansonsten empfehle ich Universe Sandbox 2.

Sehr laaaangatmig, dafür muss man schon etwas übrig haben.
Wer eine größtenteils realistische Weltraumsimulation haben möchte in der man mer zuschaut als eingreift wird bedient.

nettes Programm bei dem man auch was lernen kann. Ist zwar alles in englischer Sprache, aber nicht so schwer zu verstehen wies auf dem ersten Blick scheint. Damit ihr wist was man alles machen kann, solltet ihr zuerst das Tutotrial durchlaufen. Es gibt auch Errungenschaften (EDIT: die nicht alle machbar sind) + Sammekarten. Tolles Programm -> Nur der Vollpreis stört mich etwas, weshalb ich euch das Programm nur empfehle, wenn ihr es in einem Sale verbilligt kaufen könnt.

Kein Spiel im eigentlichen Sinne, aber eine wunderbare Sandbox-Erfahrung für alle die ein Faible für Astronomie haben, oder schon immer mal sehen wollten, was passiert, wenn z. B. Jupiter die Umlaufbahn der Erder kreuzt.

Es kann aus mehreren vorhandenen Simulationen von Sonnensystemen bis Galaxien gewählt, oder ein komplett neues System erstellt werden, wobei sehr viele Parameter veränderbar sind.

Empfohlen für jeden, der seine eigene Weltraum-Doku erstellen möchte.

Sehr gute Simulation. Für action Fans eher nichts, aber perfekt für Weltraumfanatiker oder auch sonst für Simulations-Fans wie mich. Man kann sein eigenes Sonnensysem erstellen, wenn man will sogar eine Galaxie. Oder ein
Sonnensystem in dessen Mitte eine Bowlingkugel ist um die Würfel und Fusbälle kreisen man kann das Aussehen und praktisch alle Eigenscaften der Himmelskörper individuell festlegen. Die Möglichkeiten sind also beinahe unbegrenzt.
Was wäre zum beispiel wenn die Erde die hälfte der Sonnenmasse hätte, und der Mars Saturnringe?
Dieses Programm empfehle ich wirklich jedem der ein bisschen was mit Simulationen am hut hat.

Das Programm Basiert auf physikalisch- und mathematischen Grundgesetzen. Dazu kommt das es eine Programm zu berechnung von Hypothesen ist. Es läuft auf keinen Rechner Flüssig, auch nicht auf einem Serverprozessor (wenn man es übertreibt :D). Ich bin Hobbyastronome aus Leidenschaft! Ich finde die Astronomie die interesannteste von allen Naturwissenschaften (siehe mein Bücherregal xD) und kann aus diesem Grunde dieses wirklich gut gemachte Programm nur Empfehlen.

This was a great game that really increased my interest in space. It's not perfect though, it crashes often and you have to be careful how hard you push the simulation. It's still super cool and fun to go back to.

On Linux you can run this game with a small tweak: protontricks 72200 dotnet20

multiple game crashes even on a simulator with nothing in it. I don't know how you crash simulating nothing that sure is impressive.

Achievements are added as a big screw you to any person who enjoys collecting.

The game is not so fun that normal play time would ever reach 8k hours on top of the fact the game crashes daily.

on the plus side to get 1 year play time you get 10000 reloads off crashes for free.

I love building a large solar system and running the simulation multiple times with different parameters. This version and the newer version could definitely be used as a teaching lesson for physics.

I was looking for Universe Sandbox II... or Universe Sandbox 2... UniverseSandbox ... etc.

In the comments I learn that what I was hoping wasn't the case, was indeed a fact... The early access I bought is under a new name, and the name it was under is a new early access that looks bizarrely like Universe Sandbox II...

I don't recommend this game, if you're interested in it just get the one titled simply 'Universe Sandbox', as this one (now 'Legacy') is more cold and dead than the core of Mars.

I understand but I cant say anything good about the way they did the change. They basically had us buy the early access and then pushed out a sequel which now long replaced the original.

I got this game because the developer was talking about future upgrades. About a year later nothing had happened and I stopped playing (this was almost 5 years ago). Just started seeing it on youtube with the features the developer promised and decided to try it again only to realize it doesn't even work anymore and the developer rereleased it and support for the original ended shortly after I bought it. This guy is a scam artist.

I get they made an newer sequel to this but the fact they dropped all support kind of sucks. It wont even load on most systems now due to poor coding and they are not going to ever fix it. Every game I own that was made around the same time still works besides this one. The only feature I want is for the game to even load and run but that's a little to much to ask for. Crashes 100% of the time across multiple systems. I would get US2 but I cant trust they wont do the same thing they did with this.

As so many reviews have said, this is fraud pure and simple. This game was never finished, it was abandoned, and now the developer is selling another version at full price. Folks that bought this got screwed and the developer makes their money...

This was fun to mess around in for a bit, but felt sorta lacking and I had hoped they would eventually add more features to it. The achievements aren't great either, but ehh. It seemed serviceable, if slightly overpriced.

Then they released a sequel (Universe Sandbox 2, which is now just called Universe Sandbox), and that owners of the previous version would have to pay $30 to buy it again.

You can't buy this version anymore, but I'd also encourage you to not buy the new one either. Just play something else.

I never purchased a title with the word 'Legacy' in it, and now I own one. Dev released an updated version to this game and is selling it as a separate game. If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. Wish I could tell the dev how I really felt, here. I'd suggest to the reader to look into Space Engine, instead. Space Engine is a much better universe sim with many more features. Unfortunately, at the time of my purchase, Space Engine wasn't released on Steam yet. Will not be buying any further item from this developer.

A very well-made game with attention to detail. Only gripe is that some of the achievements (like have the game run for 12 months of playtime) are kinda unreasonable.

This is not a game that I would ever dedicate a ton of time to, but for what it is it is really good. I have yet to play the second one though and I am sure it improves upon a lot I hope that includes processor and GPU utilization because even in my high-end of a rig this game runs poorly. Though to some extent with a physics simulation that will just be how it is. Honestly though it is hard to criticize a game that is just supposed to be a universe simulator, it does that well and it is only limited to your imagination.
