Villagers and Heroes ist ein Free-to-Play MMO, in dem Spieler den Nervenkitzel erleben können, gegen einzigartige Monster zu kämpfen, die Befriedigung, eine mächtige Waffe oder Rüstung hergestellt zu haben und das Vergnügen haben, dauerhafte Freundschaften in einer netten Community zu schließen.

Gnomifizierung = Sandbox Gameplay.
Dieses einzigartige Feature ist das Herz des tiefgehenden, aber trotzdem elegant einfachen Handwerkssystems von Villagers and Heroes. Die Waffen und Rüstungen, die von den Spielern getragen werden, verleihen ihnen nicht nur diverse heroische Talente und Zauber, sondern können auch mit weiteren mächtigen Fähigkeiten versehen werden. Der Gnomifizierung genannte Prozess erlaubt es den Spielern dabei, die eigene Ausrüstung ganz den eigenen Vorlieben anzupassen, das Aussehen zu verändern, Zauber oder Talente zu entfernen, hinzuzufügen oder zu ersetzen. Kombiniere mächtige Ältestenwaffen mit bemerkenswerten Waffen, die du als Monsterbeute finden kannst oder mit deinen Handwerksfähigkeiten selbst hergestellt hast. Gnomifizieren ist ein völlig freies System, das in seiner Tiefe und Kreativität seines gleichen sucht.

Kopfgelder!
Kopfgelder werden auf mächtige Monster ausgesetzt, die nichts anderes im Sinn haben, als in allen Winkeln der Welt die Bevölkerung zu terrorisieren. Wenn ein Spieler ein Kopfgeldmonster besiegt, dann bekommt er dafür eine hohe Belohnung, gleich ob er alleine oder in einer Gruppe gekämpft hat. Kopfgelder sind sofortige Belohnungen, die keine Aktivierung benötigen und die Teamwork und Strategie fördern.

Lebe in einem echten Haus in einem lebendigen Dorf!
Du bist der Architekt, der Farmer und der Viehzüchter. Wähle das Aussehen deines Hauses aus einer Vielzahl von Baustilen und bestimme, welche Pflanzen du in deinem Garten anbaust und welche Tiere du züchtest. Du bist auch in deinem Dorf nicht allein! Schließe dich mit den anderen Dorfbewohnern zusammen und erfülle Dorfprojekte, die im Laufe der Zeit aus deinem kleinen Dorf eine florierende Metropole machen, von der alle Dorfbewohner profitieren!

so, nachdem ich ein paar Stunden gespielt habe -@@-
kann ich sagen es ist spielbar...
von der ersten Stunde bis zur letzten wurde vieles geändert
das Spiel ... ich würde ja weiter erzählen ..
aber ich muß in die EventRunde ... KG verhauen ...
muß sammeln für die Fledermaus als Reittier....
man sieht sich .... später

*Villagers and Heroes* ist mein erstes Fantasy-MMORPG gewesen, mit dem ich 2011 in Berührung kam. Seither gehört es zu meinen Spiele-Lieblingen, weil es genau meinen Geschmack trifft. :) (mein Hauptaccount ist nicht bei Steam)

-> Eine farbenfrohe Fantasywelt (bitte Trailer schauen, ob es auch DEIN Grafikstil ist), putzige Charaktere, storylastig, mit Humor gespickt, ein interessantes Crafting- und Verbesserungssystem, Dorfaufbau und Gilde, ein eigenes Haus im Dorf, Tierzucht, Gartenanbau, interessante Maps, Kämpfe, Quests und Rätsel, über viele Gegner/Monster kann man schmunzeln, statt vor ihnen zu erzittern (das mag ich), tolle Outfits, Reittiere, Begleiter, Spielzeuge... und natürlich eine dauerhafte, nette und hilfsbereite Community! /

Besonderes Pro: Das Entwickler-Studio arbeitet schon immer communitynah und ist sogar im englischen Forenbereich aktiv und erreichbar.

Das Spiel ist eines der coolsten Free-Game Spiele das ich kenne.
Die Grafic ist villeicht nicht die beste aber der Inhalt die Story und vor allem die rießige Auswahl an Items die in villagers and heroes eingebaut wurden machen das Spiel unfassbar mitreißend.

Ich hoffe ich konnte euch helfen.
Kleiner Tipp: ladet es euch runter, es ist kostenlos und nice.

Ich liebe dieses Spiel!!

Ich habe jetzt über 1800 stunden in dieses Spiel investiert und bin zu dem entschluss gekommen das ich dieses Spiel abnormal gerne spiele. Aber für leute die nur auf die beste Grafik aus sind, ist dieses Spiel nicht optimal. Ja es hat seine Fehler und Bugs, dennoch geben diese dem Spiel einen sehr schönen Charakter der einen noch mehr auf die Community fokusieren lässt. Sprich die Community dieses Spiels ist unglaublich, man wird freundlich aufgenommen und bei jedem Problem unterstützt und die Moderatoren sind immer ansprechbar. Gameplaytechnisch ist es zur hälfte auf Handwerk und zur anderen Hälfte auf Kampf ausgelegt. Man kann tausende Sachen craften oder auch nicht! Es ist einem selbst überlassen.
Alles in allem ist es ein Spiel das einem sehr große freiheiten gibt und eine gute Community hat.

Auf den ersten Blick unterschätztes Indie-MMO mit exzellentem Crafting-System und reinem PVE Inhalten.
Hier zählt äußerst spürbar das Miteinander und niemals das Gegeneinander - daher auch kein PVP.
Ingame Shop zunächst zu teuer, es werden aber laufend besondere Nachlässe geboten.
Sehr erwachsene und hilfsbereite Spieler und v.a Spielerinnen.
Momentan teilweise noch etwas buggy aber Entwickler arbeiten streng mit Community zusammen.
Anspielen lohnt sich auf alle Fälle! Auf die Dauer für das Gebotene kostspielig und mal ein paar Wochen nicht spielt, verliert zum Beispiel einfach sein Grundstück und Haus. Da muss nachgebessert werden.

Keine Ahnung was dem Entwickler dieses Spieles in den Sinn gekommen ist als er sich an den Programmcode gesetzt hat. Dieses Game ist verbuggt ohne Ende, die Steuerung ist eine Katastrophe und für diese Grafikengine hat es unverschämte Systemvorraussetzungen. Schade eig, denn die Ideen die darin stecken klingen doch so vielversprechend.

Ein ausgefeiltes Craftingsystem kann nicht jedes MMO bieten.
Housing mit mehreren Mitspielern mit denen man zusammen sogar aus einem kleinem Dorf eine florierende Stadt formen kann ist absolut einmalig in dem Genre.
Zudem kann man, wenn man die Grafik auf das absolute Minimum setzt, das Spiel auch auf Uralt Systemen zocken. Allerdings sieht es dann auch aus wie 1900vormKrieg.

Jedoch kommt man nicht dazu dieses Spiel zu genießen. Regelmäßige Abstürze und eine furchtbare Steuerung machen es einem schon nach kurzer Zeit madig. Zudem kommt es bei sehr vielen Spielern vor, das nach einem Absturz das Spiel alle Chars die man hat, nicht mehr lädt. Spielsatand ruiniert. So ist es auch mir passiert, weiterspielen ist für mich und hunderte andere Spieler also absolut unmöglich.

Also, viel verschenktes Potenzial wegen technischer Unzulänglichkeiten.
Hoffe, die Entwickler arbeiten daran, aber so gebe ich wegen absoluter Unspielbarkeit

this mmo is one of the best mmorbgs i ever played in my life for many reasons :
1- one of the best crafting and resource collecting games in the whole world .
2- awsome raid mode with friends and guild members .
3- simple to learn yet complicated and interesting to master .
4- the graphics simple yet very beautiful and serves its purpose .
5- one of the best worlds story quests and music in an mmorbg .
6- awsome items upgrade system and very good skill tree system .
7- very good customization and soooo much things to do in a guild .
in general its very good and comforting and beautiful mmorbg , i played over 300 mmo this was among the best 10 :)

This game is actually really good. If you liked World of Warcraft and Old School Runescape, this game has a feel of both mixed together with its own take. Playable crossplatform between SAC (Standalone client) and mobile.

95% of the playerbase doesn't use the steam client so ignore steamcharts (Download the game on there website). The community is large and very helpful on my server. Highly recommend this game!

First time I played it, the game ran fine and I ended up playing it for a good at least 8 hours.
Second time I tried to play it, the game keeps crashing on the very first loading screen before it even gets to any menus.

As for a review, I'm just gonna say what the game is.

It's basically a World of Warcraft clone filled with royalty-free music you can find on youtube. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it sure does feel weird when you recognize the music from someplace else in a game like this. But the skill icons are literally just WoW icons modified just enough to avoid problems with Blizzard.

Also your skills are tied to the weapon you use. Yeah, not unlocking them via levels, but based on your in-hand weapon.

its like a entirely free to play rnuescape and warcraft mixed game but simplified for casual players, good community fun events that scale to your level so if youbake a character like i did during an event you can partake in that event with all players reguardless of levels, its fair and fun. the premiium content seems pricey but probably worth it if you planned on playing long term. they do seel inventory and vault/bank tabs but they start you off with enough to enjoy the game without spending a penny. youre free to do whatever you want, the classes and balancing seem pretty well made. so far no complaints, there is player housing thats free and moving to a different village is free it doesnt cost anything in game and no limits or cooldowns they alsy give you a garden area and ranch slot with a sheep to start with so you have all available systems ready for you without spending any money or unlocking it through a fustrating quest. its single player friend and multiplayer friendly. i cant complain ive been wanting a game like this for a long time, if you register your email you can play on other platforms i played on my phone in bed last night after shutting down my computer. its a fun game if you wanna play an mmo with rpg elements and life skills. you can use all skills from the start no quest not obtaining items no blocks right from the start. there are tutorials for everything. its basically got every base covered, i havent gotten to end game stuff or the raid stuff yet but its just more content i cant wait to explore. oh yeah mounts, everybody gets one through the main quest and its free and no training required like other games. overall for a random mmo i encountered this has always been a good experience. the devs seem cool, the community is welcoming not much to complain about.

I Actually really love this game so far, it took me a few times of going back and trying the game to realize that even though the graphics arnt the best. This is a true gem of a game.

The people who are giving this game bad reviews probably just didn't find what they were looking for in this game and this probably just isn't the right game for them.

This game also has a really friendly community which is kinda hard for me to find in gaming now a days.

I'd say the only real problems I have seen so far with this game is the graphics are a bit out dated but that dosnt really bother me personally, There is no real tutorial for the game either so that could be a bit of a problem sometimes. There is also no PvP in this game either, this is a more relaxed game.

There is plenty for you to do in this game with thousands of quests as well.

Dont play this game! like at all.
you have the full package, absolute P2W thats broadly advertised everywhere, incredibly slow progression if you dont shill, dead servers (around 45 people if youre lucky) ect.

and yet i still gave it a try, played to level 30 even with all these flaws (because im a masochist i guess), then tried to use the Worldchat to find some raids. 5 minutes later i was whispered by a triggered GM that didnt like my ingame name, basicly said i had to shill the 10 bucks for a namechange or i will be banned. absolutely hillarious.

this game is dying and the GMs know it and actively fuck with the few people that play it.
DONT PLAY THIS SHIZZSHOW

Besides the bugs and endless lag this game is shite even for free. I played this game years ago and only played recently because my son wanted a to play it together. I thought years ago the lag and bugs were because I didn't have a good pc. No years later with a much better gaming pc the exact same lag and bugs still exist. WTH have these devs been doing for years like 7 to be exact. OH making paid content bc thats the only thing different plus a few areas are split up now. The characters look like a 3 yo drew them. I could not imagine any other game getting away with this same content lag and bugs for years.

Don't let my 2.4 hrs record fool you, I have around 2.5k hours played on the SAC (Stand Alone Client). V&H is a 10+ year old MMORPG that is still going strong (according to them we have more players than ever as of writing this review) with regular updates from a small but dedicated dev team.

Pros

Massive world to discover, from lush forests, through dark cathedrals to sunny beaches
Lots of quests to guide you through the game's world
Robust crafting system with lots of things to craft from gear to consumables
You can join a village, improve it and earn unique perks while doing so. You'll also have your own house and garden (house interiors coming next update most likely)
PvE only, no toxic PvP community (yes I understand some would see it as a con)
Friendliest community I've ever seen, helping each other and new players free of charge, just ask and recieve!
Cross platform play with iOs/Android, but you NEED to install and play through the SAC, it doesn't work with the steam client
Each class has multiple builds, and each subclass has a place in end game
Dungeons with unique rewards, with up to 15 players per run (Beta testing as of now, and they are called Raids in game)
Seasonal Event zones where the content is scaled and the whole server can play together to do daily quests and slay bosses to earn unique cosmetic rewards, consumables, etc.
Lots of ways to customize your character with the Wardrobe (transmog) system, mounts, pets, toys, talents
No P2W cash grab, no lootboxes, you get what you buy
It's pay to progress faster. Although it is totally attainable to reach max level without ever paying a dime and you'll be just as strong as paying players
Regular player run events, like Crafting parties where you can level up your crafting skill faster while recieving free goodies from other players
Game is overall super chill and relaxing to play
Forums with great guides and a very good gamepedia site with a wealth of information

Cons

While the game in general is fairly good, it has some caveats.

Raid system is still not fleshed out and will probably need an overhaul, it separates players quite a bit
Crafting gear has a lot of randomness to it
Game lacks truly challenging content as of yet
The stat system can be very confusing for new players
There's quite a bit grind involved to reach max level in both combat and crafting
Guilds are very lacking in function (rumored to be updated next expansion)
Graphics are a turn off for some

Overall I'd say if you are looking for a chill cross platform MMO definitely give this a go, it's free to play after all, but do so on either mobile platform or on SAC which you can get from the official site, so you can play cross platform. As you can see, I didn't play this game for that long. I was quite excited to play the game, cause it looked and sounds really nice. You can customize your own house, take care of your garden and animals, the fishing is really something I looked forward too, but then there was the community... I only said in world chat that I was new and was asking for any important information to know about the game, that's when I saw the real reason to the downside of the game. People are so negative and mean towards newcomers, almost as if they try and push us away, as if it's their kingdom. There were good 20-30 different names in world chat and they all were talking down to me and 2 other newcomers.

I would recommend this game to anyone, who wants a MMO with relaxation and maybe play it with a friend or a couple friends. If you tend to play this game solo, I would not recommend it. The community really doesn't do it for me, but it might do it for you. Enjoy :)

So I made it to level 15-16ish of the game and I can't recommend it. Like most games there are positives and negatives, but there are mostly negatives (big negatives) for me with this MMORPG.

I'll start with the positives:

*Small Community
*Friendly community (mostly). They will help you if you have a question.
*Cartoon-like colorful atmosphere
*Cool Mounts
*Nice Questing
*Cute Pets
*Overall a good casual feeling since it is a PVE only MMORPG. There is no PVP for those who are looking for it (this can be a positive or negative depending on what you are looking for but that's just a mostly neutral tidbit in general).

The negatives are:

*Paywall. There will come a time where you will *not* have enough inventory space. There is only so much inventory space, vault space, and house space you can use before you will have to pay eventually. The thing is you get so many items in the beginning you have to sell or pay IRL money just to get more inventory space. You get little inventory space up front. You are kinda forced to just get the subscription or get crowns.

*Play this game on Steam and you are screwed. You won't be able to play this MMORPG on your phone or in their own client if you decide to sign up through Steam. I feel like this needs to be addressed up front and it's not. If you sign up through steam, you can't play on your mobile device and client. I know it's not their fault that Steam's policy won't allow it but it still needs to be told to players who are gonna play and they find this out later on.

*Houses. The houses in this MMORPG isn't really a house. It's just another inventory space - very little space I might add. You can't go in it and put furniture. The best you can do is change the look of the exterior. This is a big thumbs down for me as this is what I look for in an MMORPG. If you are creative like me, this is a real downfall.

*Guilds. The guild that I was put through (apparently one of the first guilds) kicked me out after being inactive for 2 weeks. If I disappeared for months, I would get it. But I work and have a life and feel this is unfair. That is why I said earlier in the review that it is only *mostly* a friendly community. They won't tell you they kicked you out until you log on and find out you no longer are in it. I don't know who has all the free time in the world except when I was 13 to be active *all the time* but I don't feel like this is a friendly gesture. The other guilds are a middle of nowhere tumbleweed wasteland.

Fighter game but the crafting is a nice perk. I love the mounts wish they fought with us and could level up for racing or fighting.

This game has allot going on. Don't download it on steam if you want to play it on your tablet or phone too. There are mounts, a free house with garden and ranch attached. The crafting system is well done and fun. The combat is interesting in that your abilities come from your gear, so you can mix and match and 'gnogment' to get the build you want. The quests are well written and fun! Its not pay to win but if you did want a sub its not near as much as other sub games. There are 'villages' you live in with other people and do community projects together. The graphics are oddly satisfying especially if your an older gamer where nostalgia is a thing. The music and ambiance are very chill and nice. The population seems good and the devs are doing updates. Disregard time played and steam population as most players probably download it from the main site so they have crossplay. Its a hidden gem!

You are not limited to the story line of the game, although the missions allow you to level up faster. You are able to meet people, befriend , trade and see where they are on the map. Your character has many levels that can be upgraded and it allows better crafting of items that improve or assist with hero abilities.

Beautiful scenery and fun zones. You can relax while fishing, crafting, etc.... or go fight various monsters throughout the zones. Great group of people and very much involved with helping each other out.

the game plays like it should
beautiful maps
its in depth enough
and has a good questing system.

just one problem: PVP anyone?
it would be nice to have, feels like a need in a game so focused on building a character but the character is never used in a real battle (A battle against more that just a computer)

i played this game on an outside account and have nothing good to say about it. the game lags badly and the crafting is a true nightmare. if you like standing around gathering and crafting for hours on end this game is for you. there is no craft all option, only purchasable crafting enhancers. any normal person should give it a hard pass. this game truly is awful ! it's a money pit like all the facebook games were . every time you turn around it is trying to get into your wallet. and if you buy crowns but decide you don't want to play the game anymore, they will refuse to refund the money for the unspent crowns . which as far as i am concerned is stealing ! i also should have mentioned the terrible support response you get, it takes a week or more for any real response

Could you not make setting resolution a fucking ordeal, jesus christ my face is red i'm so mad at trying this game, I touch 1080p and hit ok, awesome than 8 seconds later it reverts back and zooms up to the top left of the game so i can't do anything but restart the game, than I try it again same fucking thing. FUUUCK this game fix your shit if you want people to play it. I'm still trying to calm down. I don't need to spend hours fucking around to try to make the game playable.

This is simply the best cross-platform MMO there is. You can play on steam with friends that are on iOS or Android or using the stand alone client. The bad reviews seem to be about playing the game on Steam, which doesn't support cross-platform, meaning if your account is on steam, you can't use it to play on your phone. So, if you want to use multiple devices to play, depending on your location or your mood, download the stand alone client from the V&H web site, or from the app store of your choice. I play on Steam, and I really enjoy the game.

The play is pretty casual until late game, where the dungeons require a strong group. Housing is free and available from level 1, so everyone can gather and craft on their first day. Communities center around guilds and villages and the players are some of the most helpful I've met. Just ask for help to fight a boss and you will get a volunteer within a minute, usually.

The graphics aren't the best I've seen, nor the worst, for an MMO. For the most part, they are cute and there are some lovely zones in the world. There are many options for dressing your character, including saving every skin for every item you've equipped in your wardrobe so you can switch any time, and events that let you earn special outfits. You will get 10 free makeup kits that let you change your appearance and your origin in your daily login calendar, as well as a mount and an epic weapon.

Fighting style is up to you. You can spec your character and modify your weapon to get the stats and attacks that you want to use. Every class is fun to play and can play well alone and in a group. The dev team is awesome, and they will do live streams and visit the player-run Discord channel from time to time. The forums are pretty active as well. The game has some rare bugs, but none that will make the game difficult to play. Restarting the game fixes about everything.

If you are a new player, remember that you must solve the mystery of the Miscreant before you get your free horse.

Really enjoying the game so far 7 hours in, it has a classic feel but modernised. The graphics are good and i love the graphic style of the game. The questing and much of the gameplay is unique and unlike other games, its a breath of fresh air. Reminds me a little of classics such as runescape and wow. Would def recommend everyone to try it.

It's fun if you like mmos. They made the grinding elements of the game fun and without a pay to win wall. Of course you can pay to get a leg up like most if not all mmos but it's not necessary and you can get by without.

I have played this game off and on over the past few years, and it has improved CONSIDERABLY. You used to have to grind a severe amount during early crafting quests. Not anymore. They have revamped much of the game, and even the starting few zones have been refreshed since I last played. It is great!

The biggest feature of this game is the ability to transfer skills and abilities off of dropped equipment and put it on yours. That is where it is advertised as player choice, which is very accurate. Basically, all your skills and abilities are on gear. Fairly similar to Path of Exiles gem system, but does not work the same as a whole as it is different and there are no gems, it comes included in the gear. If the gear itself is not an upgrade but the skill or passive ability is, you are able to augment the upgrade into your current gear for a small fee. You can also unlock more sockets with special items. I really enjoy this system.

Combat is fairly basic similar to a game like WoW, however you have much less skills to worry about. Your active skills are on your weapon, and it has a limited amount of sockets. It has very minor action combat with dodge rolling away from some attacks.

You can own a home in a player village, and the homes are rent free. You just need to log in at least once every 2 weeks to keep the home active. That is also where you can do gardening and ranching. It is much easier to start than it used to be. I was able to grow a full garden and have 2 animals right off the bat. Do note that the homes are not enter-able and there is no decorating.

So far the game is fairly simple as I have been able to solo group content easily. But my main character is under level 20, so that could change. I do not have experience at end game, but I have seen some in world chat mentioning soloing some end game areas that are meant for grouping.

One other unique feature in terms of MMOs is the ability to do a rebirth. At level 30 you can rebirth back to level 1, resetting your character and quests, but you also get stronger with more talent points to spend. You also get xp bonus until you reach your original level. I believe there are 5 rebirths you can do as you level up, each happening at a certain level. They seem optional, but considering the increase in talent points it would probably help a lot.

All in all, this is a great game that I believe I will finally be getting more and more into. I been watching it for years and the improvements it continues to have. It is a small community, but the game is still actively in development and does receive free expansions.

It's Free to Play. However, it's not your Average F2P game where you Have to make MTX purchases to get gud.
It's also quite interesting.
The story is fun and funny. I cracked up several times throughout the beginning questline. The names. The situations. Much more captivating than the hum drum same o' same o' games like World of Warcraft throw at players. Did I mention you don't have to pay to play?
You can do MTX and get nice skins and boosts. There is no need tho. Unless you plan on playing a really long time and Want to Support the awesome Development team.
They give daily gifts that are Very Well Worth logging in daily.
You can farm your own 25 slot garden and raise animals. Hunt, quest, gather, and craft.
I was told it's a step back from other games friends have played... however I disagree. It's a refreshing step away from some of the games they play because you don't have 1000 buttons and 200 different dropdown menus and thousands of other things to track and manage.
It's simple and pretty and fun. Again.. did I mention FREE?
You can also successfully play with JUST the Mouse. Yeah. No Need for button mashing. Hold both LMB and RMB and move. Click your skills. Easy peasy. Great for the gaming parent with one arm holding a child... Just sayin.
Give it a go. At least try. Get thru the Miscreant quest line. Learn the mechanics. Have fun.
And DON'T forget your sound! The score and voice overs are fantastic.

Really nice MMORPG. The crafting system is extensive and fun, and the quests are as good as most MMOs. Combat system is simple, but has enough depth to customize.

I'm sure to a lot of younger players this looks like a game in it's infant stages of development, but to those OG MMO players this is nostalgia. Those who grew up on DAoC and EQ find this game as good as the others. Sometimes simple is the best. Graphics mean nothing if you can't grab a player and keep them entertained with questing, story, ambiance and social aspects. I'm cool with this game.

I love this game a lot; but the steam version is obsolete. You can't sync your account to the android/iOs version so it would be better to just download the game directly from the website
