Hallo

Da ein Arbeitskollege dieses Spiel in hohen Tönen gelobt hat dachte ich mir ausprobieren schadet ja nicht. Da ich Mech spiele liebe bin ich da relativ offen. Leider ist dieses Spiel rein auf Pay to Win ausgelegt. Ohne Geld dauert es recht lange bis man einen Vorschritt sieht. Die Grafik ist mieserabel da es eine eins zu eins umsetzung vom Handy Game ist.

Wenn ihr einen leistungsschwachen Pc habt würde ich sagen schaut nach anderen Roboter spielen und last hier von die Finger, ansonsten würde ich sagen spielt MWO das ist auch kostenlos und keine Geld Abzocke. Stand 11.21 ich spiele fast nur noch mit Bots und nicht mehr mit Spielern sind keine mehr da? Mein Account Level ist 10. Da das Aussehen Geschmacksache ist die meisten Mech Designs sagen mir nicht besonders zu.

Absolutes Pay to Win Spiel.
Egal was es im Spiel gibt, wenn man es nicht hat gibt es das entsprechende Bezahlpaket dazu. Sei es bei Credits, Schlüssel für Kisten, Premiumwährung, etc.
Da man sich theoretisch alles kaufen könnte fehlt leider der Anreiz für das Besondere.
Es wäre geil, wenn es Dinge gäbe, die man sich nur durch erspielen freischalten könnte.

Hinzu kommt, dass die Grafik unterirdisch ist. Die Maps sind eintönig und völlig lieblos gestaltet.

Es fehlt auch jegliches Balancing im Matchmaking, was leider dem Pay2Win Prinzip zu verdanken ist.

Des Weiteren gibt es keinen Chat oder taktische Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten.

Die Lautstärke des Sound kann auch nicht angepasst werden. Es gibt nur die AN oder AUS Option.

Hätte prinzipiell n gutes Game werden können, leider sind die Entwickler aber an eine guten Game nicht interessiert. Es werden nur neue Inhalte zum Kauf reingepumpt, alles weitere bleibt auf der Strecke.

Hi
Hier mal meinen Eindruck zu diesem Spiel.
Spiele dieses Spiel ungefähr ein halbes Jahr.
Vom Grundgedanken ist dieses Spiel wirklich gut. Aber jetzt zu den ganzen negativen Punkten.
1. Es ist von den Preisen vollkommen überzogen.
Vor allem bekommt man immer weniger für das selbe Geld.
Beispiel: Als ich angefangen habe hat man in den Einsätzen noch spezielle Waffen , Roboter usw. bekommen.
Jetzt bekommt man nur noch Standard Zeug. Also muss man, wenn man was vernünftiges haben will richtig Geld hin legen.
2. Und es ziemlich nervig, das man ständig gegen Spieler spielen muss die aus viel höheren Liegen kommen.
Das sind die beiden größten minus Punkte die ich habe.
Also, das Spiel ist viel zu teuer und es wird einfach kaum was für den Spielablauf getan.
Für das Geld könnte man wirklich einiges mehr erwarten.

Mit viel Geld kommt man weiter , sonst gar nicht. Ein Roboter kann locker mal 99 Euro kosten . Nur für Kids mit reichen Eltern

Früher war es mal richtig geil doch heute herrscht einfach nur noch eine Monatliche Roboter Rotation. Du kaufst dir jetzt einen der neusten Bots und im nächsten Monat ist er nutzlos oder kaum gebrauchbar und musst dir den nächste Bot kaufen um weiter mithalten zu können. Schade ich hab das Spiel echt mal gerne gezockt. P.s die Entwickler hören nicht auf die Community also erhofft euch nicht das die sich bessern. Definitif nicht holen auch wenns ein kostenloses Game ist denn so gesehen zahlt ihr sonst eh monatlich um irgendwie euch aufm Wasser zu halten

Absolut unfaires Gameplay. Mal zum Verhältnis man spiel gegen Leute deren Roboter 3 mal so stark sind. Die die 25.000 gewonnene Spiele haben und fühlen sich toll wenn sie jemanden mit 1000 siegen fertig machen. Wenn man Glück hat überlebt ein Roboter 10 Sekunden und man macht bisschen Schaden.

Sehr unfair diese Spieler können sich auch noch in Liegen ableveln wo noch viel neuere Spieler sind mit noch schlechteren Bots. Das wird von den Herstellern sogar noch gefördert.

Ich rate jedem davon ab dieses Spiel zu spielen. Als neuling keinen Chance. PAY2WIN

Another of those games that needs a Neutral.
But since we can't, I have to say to give it a pass.

A fairly generic mech combat arena game. Most of the generic is a result of this just being a mobile game port though.

Since it's a mobile port, controls and gameplay are limited. It's basically just a point and shoot with simple movements. If you prefer to keep things simple this is fine, but if you want something more in-depth, more in line of a simulator then you will be better served playing something like the MechWarrior series.

The actual graphics and sound are decent given a mobile game. Personally, I find the music a bit annoying.

The UI is pretty, but it's useless. I imagine it works well enough on mobile, but it has very little on options or controls and no explaination of what anything is or where to find it. Which brings me to...

There is no tutorial. On first logon, you literally just get throw into a screen that shows a hanger with a single mech with no information on what you're suppose to do next. In fact, you have to get level 5 before you can even unlock a help button. What?!

Basic tier system for unlocking new stuff, so the faster you level, the faster you unlock. Of course, you still have to buy After unlocking anything to actually use it though. It does has a surprising amount of mechs and weapons you can use though if you can get them.

Constant Ads promoting whatever new sale or latest loot boxes available to buy that pop up with every log in and after every battle and it's not just 1 or 2 at a time; more like 6 to 10. Definitely shows the company's focus here.

Matches are joined fairly quick, but Matchmaking is a joke. It runs the gambit of player skill and equipment. As soon as you level up out of the basic bot battles that let you try to figure out what you're doing since there's no tutorial, you're immediately thrown into a player filled fight on your next battle attempt without warning, where you may very well end up against someone that's already unlocked higher levels and mechs leaving you to get squashed almost immediately. Which leads to...

The clear fact that the game is extremely pay to win. Premium pay equipment is always better than the basic currency equipment. Higher level equipment will always be better than lower level. Add to that, you can pay for faster upgrades to your existing equipment. As your player level increases, so does your access to the better equipment. So even if someone didn't spend all their money getting stuff fast, you'll still likely face off with someone that's been playing a lot longer at this point who has since grinded out the better stuff (which if you don't pay, takes forever).

In closing, while there is a nice simple mech game buried in here, what ultimately leads me to giving a Not Recommended vote, is really the combining of the Pay to Win with the poor matchmaking. Resulting in a stomp or be stomped every time. That is just no beuno.

While this game can technically be considered pay-to-win, I must say that the devs do a pretty good job with the tier system. So if you pay nothing and very slowly enhance your robots and weapons etc you will rarely play Vs those that do so quickly (by paying). It may seem like you need to buy a better robot or weapons to compete you may just find yourself bumped up into the next tier where it's even more competitive. So overall my summary is that this game isn't necessarily pay-to-win. There is nothing better than skill, using your robot effectively, use the terrain etc. For me this is a very fun game!

I haven't played this game in years, I just started again a few weeks ago and I'm shocked to see in which direction it has gone. it was already pay to win when I left but now it's all just about money, the game is literally unenjoyable if you don't buy anything. I really hoped that it would be better than when i left but it has obviously become way worse, the game is not about skill or anything like that, it just about money. If you are looking for a free to play game then stay far away from this. it is just not fair anymore and hasn't been for years. that's also what i miss, that you don't need to newest stuff to be good, without all these extra upgrades (drones, airstrikes, etc.), where it's about the player and not only the equipment. Give us the game back that we loved so much, that we could enjoy all day long. Please Pixonic, please just listen to what people are saying, don't just ignore the thousands of people who are saying the same as I do.

I love the game style and graphics that this game has. In this game, there are a variety of creative weapons from robots or weapons. So far, I have good points. But when you go into the game, you see that the game has become a winning field for the rich, and rich people use weapons and ligaments that can easily kill even your Titan ligament. So even though I played this game with my phone for 3 years and with my computer for a while, my vote for the game is bad

Good game got ruined

I used to play this game all the time on my phone 5 or 6 years ago as a kid, and I started it up again 2 years ago and played for a while. When I tried out the game then, I was shocked by all the changes that had been made. Every time you entered the game, you were bombarded by multiple officers, Claiming to be 80-97% off for real money. new robots were released every month or so, which costed HUNDREDS of dollars to obtain, and had game breaking abilities that would allow you to win if you had them, and if you didnt, you would either have to be willing to pay to compete with others or you would get slaughtered. a couple months after these robots were released, they would be nerfed into the ground to make way for the new game breaking robots, and the process would repeat. Although this was extremely frustrating, the game was still fun (not as fun as it was in 2014, when it wasnt pay to win though) However, I ultimately quit after I fell into the trap of actually spending money on this game and not really getting anything out of it. Now, here I am on my computer, as i just remembered this game and I wanted to see what its like now, and its worse then I could have imagined. Forget robots, (although they are still in the cycle of adding OP robots and then nerfing them) Now they have added new types of machines. For example, Motherships, which are completly pay to play and require absolutely no skill. How do they work? Well, you spend a few hundred dollars to upgrade them, and then you click a button to use them in game, and they bypass all of your opponents shields and more or less one shot them. They also never miss. What factor of enjoyment this adds to the game, I do not know, and it seems everyone in the community was against pixonic adding this. unfortunately people are either content creators and have to buy everything in the game, or are just so hopelessly addicted that they dont care anymore and buy everything for the sake of it. Getting to my point, even a couple years ago, I COULD recommend this as a fun game, as long as you dont spend money on it. Now it is completely unplayable and unenjoyable unless you are willing to spend TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS a year to keep up with the meta and all the sh*t they are adding. Went from a 10/10 game to a 0/10, and the saddest thing is how easily pixonic could fix this if they got their priorities straight and started listening to the community. Sad to see this happen to a childhood game that used to bring me joy.

Greedy devs. Unbelievable.
Price tags for in game transactions are so out of touch with reality.
Matchmaking is shit. Game just tosses you into a queue and DGAF.
Weapon upgrading is either pay to win or unbearably grindy.
I swear, only Chinese rich kids that have nothing better to throw their dispensable money at play this game.
If you're sane and have a life, there is no way this game is going to provide you with any joy; only misery.
The devs dont care about the players or seriously expanding on this game; you can tell by the way everything in game is way overpriced. Theyre in it for the quick money, and the little updates here and there are just so they can squeeze every last bit of money out of everyone they dupe, until finally one day (hopefully) enough people see this game for what it is, a pay to win game that rewards you with nothing but more opportunities to throw money at the game.
This game deserves to have every player abandon it one day.

Pay to win and all purchases are expensive and doesn't help a lot in advancing , match queuing isn't balanced at all and not fair, can't access the highest graphic setting even thou my pc could handle it , some of the game mechanics are trash and unrealistic , basically this game is trash in every way possible. Pay to win, and has gotten worse over the past year.
I have played for years. Started on the Android. Well, you can't use your android account with Steam, nor can you use your apple account. You also can't play with your friends on either of those platforms.
On steam, you can't choose your play mode like you can on the other platforms. So. you end up not getting any of your daily challenges met, because you can't choose beacon rush or anything like that. They choose for you or you choose squad play. No other choices.
They don't offer all the maps on here like they do the other platforms. The winter map was fantastic, now it's nowhere to be found.
Now they have robots that you can buy for $100 USD that will stay in stealth mode all through the game. While in stealth mode they can capture beacons and push you off cliffs. You can't do any damage to them while they are in stealth mode.
You have magical robots that fly, for another $100, that have powerful energy weapons that will wipe you out instantly. Oh, BTW, they stay in stealth mode while attacking you so you can't fight back: you are simply a target for them.
You have other robots, that you can buy for $100 (see a pattern here) that stay in stealth mode, move very fast, and have weapons on them that send out a shockwave that will destroy your robot instantly. Oh, and when they attack they do come out of stealth mode but they are almost impossible to destroy.
You have other robot, for a $100, that will instantly appear behind a target and kill them will little to no effort. Then that same robot magically transports on the other side of the map in a protected area where they can't be fought.
You can play for free, they allow that. You won't win. I guess all those people who will spend the hundred dollars need a target to hit. And I guess that is where you come in. You become the target.
Pixonic has lost their way and obviously just wants your money. Now, I realize a company needs to make cash. But you are running off people who will potentially buy from you because you've made it miserable for them to play.
Pixonic, I know you couldn't give two s*&ts as to what I, or any other player, think as evidence by your continued downward spiral. But it would be nice to think that you'd actually listen to someone who has played for years, and over the past year has become so tired of the b.s. with this game that they have decided to take their time, and money, somewhere else.

Just another mobile game ported to the pc via Steam. It's strictly P2W. If you have $$$ to flush away on being badass ingame, go ahead. If you're looking for a time waster, this'll do it, but don't expect anything from this game that isn't constant pushing to spend-spend-spend.

This game looks great and has good gameplay when you first start. I really enjoyed the game while I was levelling up the first few levels - however it quickly becamse obvious that the matchmaking is horribly broken, and by the time I reached level 20 after a few days playing, I have become increasingly frustrated with the massively out of whack game balance.

As a bronze level player, it really isn't fun getting repeatedly placed in games with silver and gold league players, who have weapon systems vastly outmatching yours that can destroy your bot in literally 3 seconds.
This in turn means you can't actually advance and get the resources you need to level up yourself.

This has made the game a very unenjoyable experience, so I am leaving for other alternatives.

first of all there are no assists in the game you can do all the damage but it depends on final hit and also there is no rank based matchmaking there could be the strongest people on the enemy team that are highlevels whilst your team is low lvl nothing is even balanced at all 1/10

As someone who has likely well over 100+ hours on the mobile version, I'll just tell you straight up this is extremely P2W. Player's who have huge bank accounts can buy the best upgrades, robots, weapons, etc. from the get-go.

This makes playing the game next to impossible unless you're willing to grind for hours and hours on end. The beginning is fun because it's pretty easy, (you're not fighting P2W players) but once you play it a bit more you'll begin to fight P2W players who completely obliterate you.

3/10, good time waster for a little while but extremely frustrating overall.

After playing war robots for over 9 months i can say that there is almost zero skill involved in this game. You would have to pay to even be somewhat average here. I have paid a small sum probably about £10 and i would have been better off not bothering. You will need to pay hundreds of pounds or dollars to even have a decent load-out. That is before you have mastered the controls of the clunky jerky badly handled robots. The graphics are average, the game-play is bad. I have been a clanleader for 3 months even the clan complains that they can never get good unless they pay. Dont pay to win at this pile of junk. War robots needs to be scrapped on the junk yard.
Update - there is cheaters in the game. I refuse to play this anymore.

The Game mixes old player with new one's, forcing the new one's to get better weapons for a game they are not certain they like yet. I am good with 1046 hours but, I still get overwhelmed by [super powered weapons] used by not so skilled players with Hacks or adult money. So have fun ./.

It is honestly sad to see what Walking War Robots has become.
The game has exceeded the levels of pay2win that even EA or Gaijin can't dream of.
I remember before Pixonic wasn't a greedy company, I remember when the top of the game was reachable without paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars and all you had to do to reach it was to have skill and some time to grind.

I started playing Walking War Robots in 2015, 6 years ago when i got my first mobile phone, I rushed to the Google Play Store to get the cool kids games and i found this. It was the most fun and memorable phone game I ever played and I loved to have the best bots and show them off to my friends when i got the new Fujin with 3 Tarans.
The game used to be balanced, the best weapons and bots were grindable without having to wait multiple months to get a single weapon.

But now, the game has become the ultimate shit storm of p2w, unbalanced mm, unbalanced weapons, pay walls and power creep.

My advice is to not play this shit, run as fast as you can and don't look back.

The game's solid core and simple controls baits you in to what quickly becomes a ludicrously lopsided pay-to-win model so unbalanced you can sort most scoreboards by the ranks of the players, complete with the most powerful mechs in the game only able to be purchased with real money - as much as $75 US for just one. The same applies to upgrades, with the bulk of the power of a robot or weapon locked behind lengthy timed upgrades unless you pay to accelerate it. To compete with someone willing to dump funds on this game would take literal years of playing. Any less, and against a pay to win player, it is functionally impossible by design to defeat them.

I gotta say, as someone who played this before many of the major updates (such as the puzzle pieces, modules, drones, pilots, etc.) and even during them... This game used to be a gem, and while it didn't entirely sink straight down to the bottom, it sure fell from its throne. Before, gold wasn't as badly needed in order to stand a chance in the meta but now, it basically relies on it only. Several weapons costing too much gold to farm at a decent rate (unless you stay playing almost 24/7 and win at least 2nd place in all matches) or being worth a LOT of puzzle pieces. Oh and then there's the offers that never stop! not only do they make you have to suffer for not paying money to get good mechs, but they also nag you every time you enter the hangar with a lot of deals that you wish you could disable. Though, if you can look past all of that, accept that you'll have to go up the ranks about 10 times as slowly as anyone who pays in the game, and embrace challenge, then this game is for you... also pretty good soundtrack and mech designs, but seriously this game is unbalanced :') have fun if you can... and please fight with your team, everyone needs backup against the constant high level meta mechs out there!

This game is awesome, its game modes are fun and doesn't take your whole day up just playing some games. I have been playing since 2016 on my mobile device and I have progressed on many accounts. It is becoming more pay to win, robots like the scorpion are very overpowered and it is almost impossible for one robot to kill you will need at least three or more robots to finally get him. Besides these things which I believe should be fixed I would recommend this game.

This is just a poorly done port of the mobile game. There is no in-game exit button, so you have to find a different way of leaving the game. Extremely pay-to-win, as the best weapons are locked behind a paywall, in which the in-game currency is used in relatively high amounts. Sure, you could grind the game for it, but the problem with that is the game never gives you it in amounts above 50, and that's only if you're lucky. Controls are not made for a PC but they're usable.

The game was good until they decided to make it Pay to Win, that ruined the game. The graphics are a bit better from the mobile version, but it doesnt change the fact, that you cannot play a match without meeting a pay to win dude tryharding in such a game. What a disappointment Pixonic

The absolute worst in P2W. The first 2 battles start off well and then you are dumped in with players and single shot death cannons with no option to even purchase anything but the first 5 underpowered weapons and robots unless you pay for EVERYTHING. Don't waste the hard drive space.

War Robots is absolutely fun to play; but the developers themselves are the cheaters! They constantly put you in mismatches against players three times your league and three to four times as powerful. One team has all the latest bots and the other team has all old bots. They entice you to buy new bots then they nerf them so the new bots can easily destroy you. They expect an average player to constantly spend money so they can cheat you out of it. This game needs to be reviewed by the authorities.

As many people said, game itself is quite fun, BUT, matchmaking with other player is just ridiculous. How you can put someone, who just started to play, with another players with much higher level and much better guns, against most primitive robot. that's just stupid. For that, game SUCKS big time..

Hello, I just started playing this game and it is really good. I do live stream this game and everyone seems to enjoy the game play. I have seen the recent updates and they are great. I would like to see more areas to play and would like to see more even game play. I know this might be hard but mobile users and pc users cant play together. This is a pretty big issue and wish that would be fixed.

Ok.. this game is dead.
Over 10 minute loading times.. a old, featureless Version, compared to the mobile one.. and obviously no Crossplay.

But it is not just the Steam version, that's bad..
I played it since release. Shady things goin on...
Lost my trust in mobile gaming. This Game was one of the reasons...

This game is so unbalanced for starters. Theres such a small chance that you win online matches, and the best way is just to pay to win. Also, the matchmaking takes so long. I can barely play. Make the game easier!!!

This game is so heavy pay to win, well maybe not even just pay to win, but the matchmaking is so broken you can be in a game with your new basic mech and have allies (or enemies) with drones, super weapons and more.

Its still not bad to just mess around with and not care. but if you want a real Mech Game with team work I highly suggest Mechwarrior Online if your computer can handle it, and you're willing to go through the heavy learning curve.

This game needs improvements. Look good and great concept but haven't enjoyed a single second of playing.
- Slow, clunky and unclear UI.
- Cheap music, thanks it has option turn it off.
- Slow battles where you moves like in syrup. Probably later you can buy faster robot if haven't droped the game to this time.
- You are not able to share armaments between robots, at least at first levels. This frustates. Why is so? To push players purchase more items?
- Multiple currencies don't make life easier, probably later push you to purchase.
- Players are bots, it looks like players base of th game is close to zero.

I have to admit graphics are good and game runs well on low-performance PC, but this doesn't relieve the pain to play it.

Best game if you're willing to destroy you wallet over it. Or, if you're a free player, spend entire years trying to get component weapons and they'll probably be all nerfed when you get em. I've played the mobile version of this game for about 2 years and I must say, I can't believe i've wasted that much time on this P2W game.

Ooooooooh man. And you thought EA was bad with micro-transactions.
Do you want that OP robot that keeps kicking your arse in every game? Hope you have a six figure salary. $100 will get you LESS THAN HALF the parts you need to build that robot. And of course the majority of the robots are locked behind such a mechanic. The other small portion are either the meh ones you get with a few games or those where the only way to get them is to loot box your way to victory for PARTS or to just play an inhumane amount of years non-stop.
But not all is lost. After all that you still need to pay for weapons (which of course the OP ones are locked behind the same paywall and years played) then upgrade everything to even be any level of competition.
Ooooh! Let's not forget the power creep every update that will devalue your efforts.

I've played this on android for years, still a money pit (at level 13, I see Titans, yup, level 30 players, with level 12 gear and bots and now TITANS... against me, why is balance still a nightmare? How much more money do you need? OPEN A GOFUNDME...) I still see people tanking matches by destroying bots, too... It's even worse when I consider that this is a PC port on different servers from mobile... You gave me resolution and windowed/fullscreen for graphics settings... Can I atleast have the texture adjustments? Why is the aiming system STILL easily confused by elevation, even after toggling the auto aim off?? FIX AIMING AND FIX BALANCE PLEASE... As a long time fan, who still plays for free, trust me when I say that this game is fun still (until a level 30 chad steamrolls your 3 bots in 2 minutes) you want a wallet warrior war exclusively? Make a Free to play league, make a change where microtransactions don't give anyone an advantage... DO SOMETHING IF YOU LOVE YOUR GAME...

Just pay to play BS. Did put in some $ and that seems to work and make the game fun. but, if you play for a while without making a purchase, you're thrown onto an increasingly lower rated team where you will stand no chance and get to watch all the upgrades you made get melted in seconds. Do not waste your time or money on this game. How this game has not been flagged as a scam is beyond me.

Complete Pay-to-Win scam. I put a lot of hours into this game in an attempt to get to a point where it might be worth it. That point never comes, if you are not willing to pay an absurd amount for a supposedly Free game, you will always be the punching bag for those with the money.

If you like pay to win games, that's your treat. If not stay away from this game, the Big Robots of lvl 30 that you get matched with when you get to lvl 20 are too strong and I don't even talk about other robots that has a flame thrower or other guns (paid for) that are way too strong compared to what you can actually get without paying for it.

This game is totally out of balance once you reach a certain point (around 15-20+) you might have some fun until lvl 15 or 20 but beyond that it's a waste of time and money,

I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun free to play game to enjoy with your friends. There's way better free to play games out there then this unbalanced thing, keep looking.

No play balance, no match balance, have to wait DAYS for simple upgrades to make your mech viable in a fight... if you have 10 years to invest in this game you will live longer then 5 seconds aginst the older players and pay to win players. And since I am not willing to spend $50 USD on 1 gun (of which I need 4 to outfit 1 of my 5 robots....Fuck this game. Maybe if the price for things where realistic and in the 1 dollar range I would drop some money to play this game... but $1000 USD per robot just to play aginst the other players... fucking nutzs I don't have 5 grand to drop on a pay to compete game (not pay to win... no, pay 5 grand to compete and maybe win...)

Get on IOS or Android, not steam, the ads that are offered on the other platforms give a huge advantage to those players, you can watch them for silver, gold, platinum, to speed up upgrades for free etc

Semi Addictive. Great for Solo players or Clan + Squad players. Decent strategy... but you have to learn to communicate without words... till you squad up and use a team speak service. Always available. Decent graphics. Everything changes as you level. Pretty interesting.

ALL PAY TO WIN. They give you these offers for all this stuff. I litterally bought $5 worth of 14,000 Au which usually costs $100. Like are you serious? I join the game since I was excited and I used to play in 2015-2016. They never offered stuff like this. Though for some odd reason, I see all these new bots with all this equipment. Anytime when I start to win, they spawn in TITANS. Titans with 500K+ health, some have SHIELDS, and flight, and they do so much damage. You cannot beat it solo unless you have the most OP weapon. It's all pay to win. It's not even as fun. I used to see Rhino as the best but now BARELY ANYONE USES IT? They all use these new bots. Honestly, it's not worth your time. You need to pay to catch up. I went to level 20 without paying then saw a offer for $5 to get $100 worth of AU. Like? You got to be joking? Then they offer 2,000,000,000 silver for $100 which is usually $500. They offer you stuff daily and all the new weapons are so boring. I wish it was how it was in 2015-2016 where you did not have to worry about buying stuff but enjoying it. They added these flame throwers, I bought all my robots and I was so excited. I only bought robots that I knew in 2015-2016 since I thought they were the best, but guess what? They get destroyed by some over-maxed level flame thrower and these abilities. People can heal, make your robot weak, and they can do much more. They can also spawn in there robot again if they have the ability. IMAGINE THAT?

Well, halfway to 1,000 hours, I guess It's time to review.

Started playing this game after the devs at Robocraft decided to destroy the game.

Despite not being able to build your robot, War robots offers enough customization to fill that niche for me. And going from being able to build robots from scratch to pre-built models, it was rough.

I still miss building but the combat makes up for it. There are METAS, there are ways to exploit, but it has never turned me off 100% to the game. I got VERY close a few times, but after one day of grinding, a good upgrade that I skipped over, a new weapon or bot, everything shifts and I was able to compete and have fun with a good amount of progress.

I have spent under $15 in the games market and that's because I want a small progress boost and wanted to give back to the devs for the experience. It was worth it because I got 2 robots that were better than the cheap ones you can get early on and that helped me really stay interested. The new gameplay styles with abilities and loadouts keep it fresh and creative when you start getting higher level weapons. Swapping out sets is a great way to keep it fun as well.

The dominant strategy in the game is as clear as day after playing for 1 month and despite many people putting all their efforts into using this, there are many who work against it and find ways to make old strategies viable. There is always something that can be used in a different way than intended and that's one of my favorite things about any well-made game, lots of chances for mind games, and when you get your first Titan, it's like a whole new game.

In the end, there is a lot that people would like to be different, and that will never change, but in my opinion, the devs at pix do a better job than the devs at robocraft at striking a balance between profit and production. Events and giveaways are almost always happening at a constant rate, and there are good deals every now and again if you feel stuck. If you pay big money on this game, that is your choice, to me ---if the grind isn't fun, than why are you even playing?????--- Big kudos to the big spenders though because we have re-mastered around the corner and hopefully a console port.

Again, F2P or P2W, it doesn't matter because everyone playing this game does so because it's fun and It wouldn't have happened without their support, so keep gooning big money, and we'll keep shooting because one day we'll be gooning too : )

P.S. BIG KUDOS to the Reddit community, JFSoul, NBart, and all the users/mods that I've talked with. I came it hot with some real nooby questions and you all helped me get better and have more fun play WR, I wouldn't have stuck around if it wasn't for you guys, so THANK YOU - also, go ahead, do yourself a favor and join r/walkingwarrobots, it's a great community and the best place to find an answer to any question you might have about the game.
Don't even worry if you feel that your question is rhetorical, I remember posting about Loki and asking if the bots ability was a bug/hack and the response was mild lmao. Looking back, if I saw a post like that I might have commented 'are you serious?' but after getting my feet wet in the community, I realize that they are more interested in contributions than removing silly questions (since others may have the same, it simply helps if everyone knows and no one has to ask and look stupid again LOL)

Thank you for having this game free to play and thank you for listening to the community as much as you do. Players and devs are 2 parts of 1 whole and it's great to know that Pix respects that as much as they can while still keeping the boat afloat

Way to expensive. So pay to win. Very few players. Match making 9 out of 10 time puts Champion full blown against silver league. Between fighting max bots and weapons and cheaters this game has been and is still garbage. Unless you drop somewhere around $2000 - $3000 when you first start you will have the worst play of your life in this game

1000% pay to win. the Devs rather work on more overpowered weapons/robots to overcharge the crap of of rather than fix the lag many of those items/robots cause. ive been playing this game for years only due to the +$2000 account on my android and 300$ on here my PC . Prices just keep on going up for more OP making the things you spent ur money on early on obsolete, forcing you to pay more money or literally play for years to slowly saving up and upgrading ur robots the free way. hillary clinton's pay to play scheme really ruined the world of gaming and turned it into a punch of greedy losers who scam kids out of their money. i hope they feel good about it.smh

War Robots is a great game, but not without its flaws. For the price of entry (free), it can't be beat if you are looking for an engaging time-killer or really like robot warfare. The fun you can experience while playing for free ends when you progress higher up the leagues, where blatant pay to win takes over. Nevermind that, it is still worth it and has a lot to offer.

Pro's:
-Free and easy to learn
-Fun robots, good gameplay and tons of customization options
-Updated graphics engine is under development (as of this writing), will provide a massive graphics overhaul. Remember, this primarily a mobile game...
-Great community and fun to compete as part of a clan.
-Titans are a fun addition the mix.

Con's:
-Don't try playing in Champions league without spending $ on upgrades / top-tier bots. You will get executed. fast.
-No cross-play between Android and steam versions. This means you have to create entirely separate accounts and build different hangars on each platform. It also fragments the player base, which is a shame.
-Constant nerfing of once powerful weapons/bots to make pay to win alternatives superior

Overall:
There is a lot of fun to be had and the gameplay /progression can be quite enjoyable - up to a point. There are bots / weapons for every play style and tactics and counters to be learned for every game mode. Give it a try!

Good when your PC sucks and you dont have money, meanwhile having lots of time to grind to go around the MASSIVE pay or grind from 2 hours to 2 days system. however the game has a lot of diversity and a very wide range of equipment allowing you to tailor your already good mech even more to your liking and offers good later game succesors to a lower tier mech. Overall perfect if you have lots of time or money to spare. oh the graphics and maps arent bad either but the collision (or lack of it) can make you mad sometimes.

War Robots is a mobile game ported to Steam, so it is pretty plain and simple compared to other Steam games. If you are looking for a more realistic mech game, check out Mechwarrior Online. The developers of War Robots, Pixonic, are extremely greedy and the game is very p2w. As a f2p player, expect to be pushed around a lot and have weaker robots than players who pay. Every time a new update is released, they release overpowered paid robots which are slightly stronger than the overpowered paid robots from the previous update, and the old robots just get weak and outdated quickly, even the paid ones. The game isn't even cross platform so you can't have the same account on PC and mobile. The Steam playerbase is really low and there are about 2 peak times per day when you can play normally, outside of those peak times it can take 5-20 minutes to find a match. The only reason why I play this is because I wanted a simpler mech game rather than the complexity of Mechwarrior and I played it before on mobile back before the devs ruined it so it's kinda nostalgic. Unless you can stand the insane amount of grinding or are loaded with cash, don't play.

Once upon a time, this used to be a good game on mobile. It has evolved into the ultimate pay-to-win game. At ridiculous prices, too. A top tier, current meta robot and weapons loadout will cost upwards of $300. Matchmaking is completely broken. Avoid.

Pay to win! This game is only for people who want to PAY to get more guns. And even then, it is rigged with games of chance that only give you the lowest valued items. Spent a lot of money thinking the game of chance makes it fair. NOPE! - Perfect game if you have lots of money to blow.

My Initial Complaint:
No matter how much I spend. When I spin the 1000 wheel/game to get a weapon it always gives me silver only. 5 tries. At $15/try for me. RIGGED! If it chose something different, I could say it was chance. But nope. Only silver only.

Their reply:
It is not a game of chance.
It's like at the casino, if you have 10 items, you don't have a 1/10 chance of winning, you have a 91% chance of winning a small prize and 9% of winning a grand prize.

That is such bull! Tricking people to pay because you know they believe it is a game of chance. So, forcing them to pay to play for a lot of small prizes and hope for 1. Why not just make the darn weapons cost as much as you would pay. If it is not a game of chance, then that means it has a set cost!!! That is SOOO Wrong! I must spread this one.

So this game started as a free to play mobile game. fair enough. but after that it kept branching off and expanding, and with that it has become the most BS pay to win game I have ever seen. not only do they have every robot buyable with real world money from the start, but they have the audacity to match up people who are rank 10 with people who are rank 20 (the highest rank) absolutely destroying any new players who have not spent money on the game.

to its credit, this game's gameplay and movement is amazing and it is tons of fun to play. but unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars to win, you will just find yourself losing over and over again.

in conclusion: THIS IS THE MOST PAY TO WIN GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED

It's pretty fun but it is EXTREMELY Pay-to-win. Nobody plays this game on Steam anymore. If you want a better experience, get it on mobile or a mobile emulator.

This game was fun long time ago, after account reset and because they have few players, im forced to play with poor robots agains players much more strong... I wont be playing this crap game anymore!

A lot of people say its pay to win. And they are right, for the most part. If you work hard enough you can become really powerful. You just have to work hard and be patient. Money will only get you there faster compared to not spending money. On one of my old accounts I was really good for not spending money.

Don't waste your time. If your not willing to spend 100+ dollars to win, then don't download. This game is extremely pay to win, and they constantly ask you to buy 200$ robots that are Over powerd, but then in a week they release one thats even better. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
