+ spannende Geschichte
+ gute Rätsel
+ Chicago bei Nacht ein Augenschmaus
+ schöne Grafik
+ stimmiger Soundtrack
+ verschiedene Fähigkeitsbäume
+ Trading Cards
Kontra
- Städte und Umgebung wirken teilweise leer
- Potenzial vergeudet beim Hacken
- Fahrverhalten nicht gut der Autos
- Passanten Hacking sinnlos
Fazit
Watch_Dogs™ ist ein inszeniertes Abenteuer in einer offenen Welt, das sich bei vielen anderen Titeln bedient und es darüber zu selten schafft, eine eigene Identität aufzubauen. Trotzdem macht es Spaß.

This game takes time and commitment if you want achieve the knowledge of other story's and there full plot of Aiden Pearce past similar to the scene with Bruce Wayne and there parents being shot.

But this contains reputation that you must hold. You are free to move around like the same movement from GTA V but guns will lower your reputation but taking them down only by non lethal melee will level your rep up including stealthing around that concealing your rep. You are made to fight alone to get your answers as you go around.

This might be an unhelpful review because I played this game's sequel before I played this one.

This game isn't as fun as Watch Dogs 2. While playing in the open world of Chicago is fun, and there are plenty of side missions, I do think the side missions can get a bit repetitive and you can't interact with the open world without things like side missions or collectibles, really. For instance, you can't punch/assault random people - only marked enemies the game wants you to take down. You can hack a lot of people, but not everyone.

Still, the story for Watch Dogs is far superior to its sequel. I wouldn't say Aiden Pearce is likable or charismatic, but you at least understand his motivations and hope he will succeed. There are plenty of turns that will leave you wanting to see the game through to its conclusion. In general, the hacking element is interesting and this is a good game, just not as fun as the sequel if you like messing around and playing outside the main story, like I do.

I liked it enough it buy the expansion where you play as T-Bone, so that says it all. I've definitely played worse games and regretted buying them, but this was a solid purchase.

Watch Dogs is a bit similar to GTA series but with hacking. Controls work well with mouse and keyboard. The radial dial for weapons etc is a awkward and so is the mobile phone menus. Driving a car is like GTA. Hacking bridges, traffic lights, water mains etc make car chases interesting. Combat is similar to Hitman in play style utilising environment kills, proximity mines etc. A reputation system penalizes you for killing civilians. Money system is pointless you can earn money you hack random strangers' bank accounts and steal stuff in their gloveboxes it seems to be there as a filling exercise. Some good puzzles in the hacking into CtOS towers and intruding into systems. Overall its a fun open world hacker/vigilante game and worth the money especially when on special.

As master hacker Aiden Pearce you must hunt down the people responsible for your nieces murder. The gameplay consists of third-person free roam with multiple vehicles and guns available very similar to GTA but AIden holds a smartphone capable of hacking most available digital devices which is used to gain access to information and complete puzzles, the tone is dark and serious as Aiden guns down and blackmails the people in his way of his revenge yet all the characters for me at least were all incredibly likeable. I'm disappointed that the sequels seem to dismiss this, personally I prefer one.

Watch Dogs is the first installment of the franchise about hacking your way through a dense urban setting. And this first game does hit some high marks when it comes to gameplay (in specific sections), characters (some of them), and world design(if it didn't have so many damn towers). Chicago is a very dense city to ride around in with little side activities sprawled everywhere you look. Now the quality of these activities are highly varied some being the best this game gets, to others being a super boring. The story seems to be fine, but feels a bit weak due to a lack of a good villain. The villains all seem to be one note characters. Getting started with the game also was very slow, because you don't have all of the upgrades yet. But once you start unlocking all of these moves, this becomes a solid action experience. But for a game all about hacking, there just isn't enough variety on actually hacking things. Just hold Q to do a thing isn't a very compelling gameplay mechanic. Overall I did like my time with the game, I just didn't play it like it was intended. (I played like John Wick), and I had a goodish time. Watch Dogs is a solid 7/10, and a solid 0/10 at the same time.

Your gunna pay for touchin my niece... God I got tired of hearing that.

Watch Dogs Review

TLDR: capable game, but extremely average, so average it hurts when you think about the potential it had. It's not bad by any metric, but it's not good either. If you're like me and just want to see a series from it's start, you'll play it, and it'll have it's moments. But, if you're on a limited time budget and don't care much about the series (as a series), you can safely skip. There are much better games out there to keep you company. 5.5/10

Watch Dogs Review.

Played this for 65 hours. Didn't do everything, but i did enough.

Main Story is kinda meh. Starts with a boom and then crawls to a slow, stays slow, untill the very end. The end is important in all things, and this is honesty the first game that didn't do what usually happens. Great start, great mid game, shitty ending. This one was the complete oposite. Slow burning all the way, but the ending missions are really satisfying. It's a revenge story and you do get yours in the end, and it feels good too. As a story though, totally uninteresting in all honesty. You spend half the story trying to save somebody you barely got to know. You understand that the main character has a connection with said character, but you don't. So you get why he's doing why he's doing, but you, as the player, aren't feeling it at all. At least the main antagonists are properly dispicable and it feels great when they get what they deserve. Side characters were interesting, and it looked like you might have found love and your moral compass at some point but you'll watch that boat sail right past you from afar cause it never makes it to shore. Wasted opportunity. In general the story felt like it was gonna be much much bigger, but they had to cut some of the story missions from the game for some reason.

Main character was an interesting choice. He doesn't talk much, and I can see why many people won't like him. But he kinda grew on me. I liked the guy. Nothing memorable, but he had nuance in his silence.

Side missions are well, crap. Honestly it's an insult to game design that the game classified those as missions. Nothing mission-like about them. Boring driving trials and retarded infiltration stuff. Prime example are the gang hideouts. Where, you go after gangs (obviously). But! you don't get to kill the gang bosses, no sir, here in Watch Dogs land we do it in reverse. You can kill off the whole gang, but the bosses must stay unconscious. Who thought of that? Wouldn't it make more sense if you killed the heads of the gang but left the small time orbiters go free, have another chance at life? Didn't complete all side missions, cause quite frankly they made me hate the game. Never a good sign. Only missions that felt like actuall side quests where the extra bonus missions you get as dlc's. Nothing stellar, but they had some semblance of a plot at least.

Stealth and hacking. Here's the deal, the game pretends to be a stealthy game, but it's really not. You're not corvo on the non leath path in dishonoured, nopes, you're john f@cking wick but with hacks. You slow time, you shoot heads, you hack doors. Nothing extraordinary here, shooting is capable but that's all. Many weapons but mostly useless, since you'll be using the silenced ones only. Makes your life easier. No silenced sniper though. Shame.

And let's talk hacking. It's great. as a concept it's amazing. And it's implementation in the game is great. You could tell that they sumbled on to something there. To put it simply, if hacking wasn't in the game, this would be a semi cheaper gta with a bit worst shooting. And less imaginative world activities. But hacking felt great. You can hack many things and it's fun to peek into private info (for some reason) of the random citizens of chicago. You can listen in conversations people are having as they pass you by (great world building there), or read their text messages. Only problem was, about half way into the game you've heard all the conversations the people of chicago had and you run into reruns. Multiple times. Same with messages. You can see a person's name, annual income, work and a small line that tells you something about them. That was nice. Just, maybe, next time, they can reduce the amount of people who work as soil conservationists in chicago. Apparently it's super popular. Some sillyness with the randomised nature of jobs did occur, so you would see the head of the anesthesiology department making over 150k a year in the slums of chicago, nothing to annoying though.

Investigations were fun, you hunted down special graphity that rewarded you with audio logs, or peeped into the lives of the people of chicago as they went about their business inside their appartments. Nice touches those, very enjoyable. There was even a small murder mystery that could have been an amazing mission as you were discovering bodies and little audio recordings but unfortunately they let the opportunity slip them by. Still fun though. Oh! and too many city hotspots. I feel like i know all the history behinds chicago's criminal past (as the city doesn't seem to have anything else of historical value to offer?).

Driving was weird for me, vehicles felt a bit too heavy and if you really wanted to go the vigilante road and be loved by the public, their tendency to get off the road was annoying. Motorcycles though were fun. Save the sound. Ah yeah, music while driving, well, it's not gta 5 i'll tell you that much. Some good songs out there but mostly it felt like the music you'll hear in a porn game about the adventures of a young boy that managed to get into college and experiments with various relationships (yeah you know which one i'm talking about don't ya? you perv).

I understand that the game got loads of flak for it's graphics but honestly i found them good. Water looked nice, and as is usual with ubi games game world felt alive. It was small, but alive, lived in. If you could manage to close the profiler app on your phone off and look at it, it had a lot of character. Only gripe i had was the faces. No beautiful people in poor chicago, everybody has to be fugly. Even call girls you see on the streets.

Watch Dogs Bad Blood Review

This was the dlc that you play outside of the main game. Takes place right after you finish the game and it's about one of the side characters you meet in game. This character isn't the strong silent type. Nopes, he's the somewhat crazy talking genious that's also a biker and kinda works out. Many people will love him, cause he's got character and isn't afraid to comment on what's happening.

Story is short with this one, felt like a prolonged side mission that could have been in the game. But it's nice. Side missions are more varied and concequently more fun. You can't solve everything going in gun's blazing here. Even the driving missions where much much better. If only the main game had this stuff in it. Hacking is still cool, and you can see how the game's mechanics evolved for this one. Having seen some gameplay from watch dogs legion i can see how this is were it all begun. A fun addition to the game to be sure, but ultimately more of the same. Maybe a bit more enjoyable than the actuall game. Lasted about 7 hours for me, if you hunt down every driving and infiltration mission I imagine you can squeeze a good 15hours out of this one. 6.5/10 for this one!

Watching dull stone Aiden get manipulated with tired hack plot devices was hard to watch. And then it got hard to play at second act, when the Viceroys showed up. Then I looked up the story on the fandom wikipedia to see if ti was ever going to get interesting...no. On to Watch Dogs 2.

This is an open world game combining Assassin’s Creed style parkour with GTA-style gameplay and also hacking.
Graphics are pretty, especially considering this is a 5 year old game. The game’s setting is Chicago, which feels lived-in, and real. You have rampant crime, a corrupt mayor, graffiti and trash everywhere, so you get the real Chicago experience ????
The open world feels just the right size, you have multiple districts of the city with their individual style and feel, but not so big that there are unneeded and empty parts.
There are lots of side-quests and activities (like parkour, chess mini-games, gambling, collectibles etc.), but I found only about half of them actually interesting and fun.
The driving is clunky, feels disconnected and too sensitive, I think it is a console porting problem, but I could live with it.
You can complete most missions with stealth or shooting. Unfortunately shooting is also pretty bad, the cover system is serviceable, but the aiming feels somehow off and clunky (also console port issue).
Physics is sometimes weird, you can knock over a sturdy telephone pole or metal lamp post just by lightly tapping them with the bumper of your car, but sometimes a small tree the size of an arm will completely stop you in a speeding truck.
The game has a good variety of licensed music you can listen to, and not only while driving.
The story is good, the characters are interesting.
Overall I enjoyed the game, despite its faults it is an underrated game in my opinion.

my first exposure to this game was on wiiu. at hour 68, i just finished my 7th play though total of the game (on both platforms give or take 100 hours). It's a realistic esc story about all the fucked up things in the world and whats actually happening in our own backyard. it's great story, hours of content and extras. i've 100% completed it and i enjoy the hacking mechanic a lot as well. it's still a blast from the past to play.

I don't know what it is about Ubisoft games, but after about three acts in, things start to feel like work instead of feeling fun. I think my biggest gripe here is that I can't get into the game. I don't know if it's the acting or the animation of the characters or what, but I... JUST... CAN'T... GET... INTO... IT. Not to mention my biggest gripes is with Chicago, I know the city inside and out. Ubisoft very VERY OBVIOUSLY does not.

First of all, Chicago is NOT New York City. For some reason, the hispanic neighborhood they show has a bunch of Puerto Ricans and dominicans in it. Chicago is a segregated city even amongst white people. The Italians don't mix with the Polacs, and these don't mix with the Irish. The neighborhood they portrayed is a Mexican neighborhood. The tower they portrayed is a check in. It mentions that it's in a Mexican neighborhood, but it also mentions pupusas. PUPUSAS. When I lived there myself, I had no idea what pupusas were. I had never heard of one until I left Chicago. To me, this is an insulting oversight to both Salvadorians and Mexicans alike.

Second of all, the animations are ALL OVER THE PLACE. The game's first scene that introduces the main character and his Asian helper (see I can't even remember their names because they are so bland and generic) is very well animated. I was excited for the first five minutes because I thought this game was going to knock my socks off in the graphics department but almost immediately we start to see scenes where the characters are basically just faces with moving lips. What? And the game flip flops between good face animation and bad face animation. Some scenes are so realistic and well animated that I can almost feel what the characters feel. But, for example, in the scene where the main character visits a grave and feels sad, his face is just a generic face that is affixed to a moving neck that rotates around. Awful.

I don't feel rewarded by what I do. I walk around hacking people both good and bad. I withdraw money, I unlock new hacks (that the game story makes it seem like I should have had access to from the beginning), I drive to the new mission, I do it all over again. It's a cycle that keeps repeating over and over again. I thought I'd get some pleasure from walking around the city or walking around downtown. No. It's the same five conversations between people over and over and over again. The girl that wants the guy to hit her and he hits her. The lady that wants the husband to pick up his mom. The two men that are hitting on the girl as she walks off. The prostitute. And the lady that is happy that the gay guy is coming out to his family. Over and over and over and over and over again. There's NOTHING NEW. It's like I'm literally playing the same thing over and over again.

Not to mention that the soundtrack SUCKS. A lot of the songs were picked because they had something to do with chicago. Which means you're going to listen to a lot of shitty music. Each car is locked to a specific genre and you can't tell which car will give you which genre. The rap station is filled with music from random people's soundclouds apparently. The streets feel so small and tight. The car's camera can't be fixed. You can't shoot while you're driving but your chasers can shoot while driving. Gang hideouts and bases that you have to penetrate have the exact same bad guys saying the exact same things. People that shouldn't survive situations survive them and you don't get an explanation as to how.

It's awful. Just awful. I can't finish it. I don't know how he's going to save his sister and at this point, I'm too fed up to go through it. We'll see if I come back at some point but right now I can't. >:(

ALSO FIX THE BUGS. IT'S BEEN FIVE YEARS.

Fun, open-world game. Lots of variety such shooting, driving, hacking, and snooping around. Can get tedious unlocking this or that by running around Chicago metro finding a slew of items - kinda like the Assassin's Creed series. All around good fun.

watch dogs is an action/adventure game developed by ubisoft this game was show in the E3 of 2012,the mechanics of hacking and open world by ubisoft was acclaimed by the critics ,when the game was released two years after, doesnt look so good compared to the 2012 E3 ,the game suffer a lot of changes the gameplay was different, the music and even the graphics looks old and ugly but the plot was good, tell the history of aiden pearce a veteran hacker who is seekin revenge for the murder of his niece (very hollywood plot game) the sound is not bad but not good anyway, the music is very good in this game (songs like ''the good life'' of weezer is amazing for the dark ambient of the game) anyway this game is very fun to play even this dont have the E3 graphics 7.5/10

In 2020.

I enjoyed the story & the protagonist is badass. There isn't much content for many characters in game but all the characters that exists have a powerful presence in the story. The one character I liked the most other than the protagonist is 'Defalt'. That part of the campaign was awesome. Pretty much every campaign mission keeps on getting more interesting one by one.

The gameplay can be stated as - not bad. It is open world filled with contents like fun games, treasure hunt kinda side missions, a few types of side contracts & mobile phone activities. They're fun for a short period but gets repetitive earlier than it should. Driving & car damage physics is meh.

World is intresting, I sometimes literally walked in game to reach a destination while on mobile phone eavesdropping through NPC's life by listening to their calls, reading their texts & stealing money from their bank account. It is a fun city with good amount of population density & Everything seems busy.

Overall:
Story | A+
Gameplay | B-
Content | B-
Graphics | B

Score:
80/100.

When Watch_Dogs came out I was incredibly disappointed, it wasn't what I had expected it to be. Additionally when it came out I was also a small child, naive and such so I expected this game to be the second coming of Christ. Now, years after it's release and the hype I believe Watch_Dogs is a good game, better than average; the story is good, the game play is good, it's nothing super special but it is good. I personally love this game simply because I like feeling like an urban vigilante doling out justice however I please, and because of that the story and the not too shabby game play this game kept me occupied to the credits, and I believe it will hold yours as well.

3/5 Hotdogs. Some of the missions were really fun, while others made me want to stop playing. The plot isn't a masterpiece of writing but its interesting enough to follow. Side missions were hit or miss, some I really enjoyed others I didn't do. The hacking consists of pressing Q and occasional cool pipe puzzles. The shooting is where I enjoyed the game the most, the focus makes you feeeeel like a badass. The driving away from the cops was pretty fun to me but it does use a realistic system so if you prefer arcade racers you won't like the driving as much. Visuals are great when its sunny and eh when its raining.

Rather than its second game in the franchise, Watchdogs has a sort of grim story about its protagonist Aiden Pearce, sadly the story in my opinion is very short it was a good one at that too. There are some mini games available too after the story if you take interest at that and there are many side missions to do. Very interesting game.

Watch_Dogs should focus more on itself instead of others.

DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW DOES NOT EVALUATE THE ONLINE INTEGRATION FEATURE DUE TO CONNECTIVITY ISSUES.
Story
A major theme presented in Watch_Dogs is frustration; not that of the characters, but of the player. What makes the story so frustrating? It has almost every element it needs to be an excellent story. It has the right characters, setting, scenario, and plot catalysts, but almost NONE of them are placed into the story where they should be. Players take control of Aiden Pearce, a criminal hacker and thief living in the city of Chicago who also happens to be an expert marksman, getaway driver, close quarters combatant, and hypocrite. During an attempted heist gone wrong, Aiden's identity is exposed to one of his victims, and he is later attacked while taking his six year old niece for a drive. The little girl is killed in the crash and rather than taking the message that he has messed with someone he really shouldn't have as a warning, Aiden begins a crusade into the criminal underworld of Chicago using violence and his own personal hack into CTOS, to discover who killed his loving niece. CTOS is a city wide network that links every single system, utility, gadget, phone, and device under a single digital umbrella.
The answer to the mystery of who killed his niece is, of course: Aiden; who is wholly capable of living a normal life in which he does NOT steal from others, but chooses not to. Obviously there is an actual villain in the game who gave the order to make the hit on Aiden, but it's pretty much impossible to care when you spend the entire story AS the guy who is truly responsible for a child's death and who continues to live the exact same life that lead to it in the first place, with the exact results you might expect. Aiden isn't a boring protagonist, he's an outright unlikable one. Combine that with the fact that the game needlessly includes multiple villains and constantly swaps between them, some genuinely stupid writing on Aiden's identity as the city's infamous Vigilante, and an ending that's both rushed and confused; and you've got yourself a bad time.
Also included in Watch_Dogs is Bad Blood, a sequel short story taking place one year after the events of the main story, and it's here that we see what Watch_Dogs truly could have been by putting an actual, sympathetic protagonist into the spotlight. In BB, players take control of Raymond Kenny as he tries to escape Blume's searching eyes. Ray is a technical genius and accused terrorist responsible for blacking out the entire Eastern seaboard of the US, which resulted in eleven people dying and untold amounts of damage.
Based on that description, you'd be forgiven for believing Ray is a worse human being than Aiden, but he turns out far better. Raymond used to work for Blume, the corporation behind CTOS, and when he realized the system he'd helped create could be used to control the public completely, he rebelled. He tried to get a warning out, to show people how bad an idea something like CTOS was, so he caused the black out; showing a single man could bring half a country to a grinding halt. The warning was deflected by Blume, who spun the story to paint Ray as a terrorist, and he has spent the last ten years working underground to bring them down. Ray has committed the names of the eleven who died to memory, and you get a genuine feel that he regrets the mistake of his past. He's a tragic hero who tried to do the right thing, but failed to consider the possible outcome in the moment, and now he pays for it every day but refuses to cease his battle in bringing down the corrupt and controlling corporation. The story of Bad Blood itself is short, occasionally comedic, and a little messy from time to time, but the reveal of its final mission is so good, it genuinely boggles the mind to ask how they hadn't made Ray's story the main plot of the game in the first place.
Gameplay
Much like the story, the sandbox of Watch_Dogs is frustratingly full of all the things it needs but with none of them in the right place to be a truly engaging video game. The core mechanics of cover shooting, driving, and hacking are solid, reliable, and polished to a mirror sheen, but the game fumbles its open world aspects pretty badly. There is no such thing as balance. Aiden can carry 30+ firearms ranging from small 9mm handguns to full sized anti-material rifles, numerous explosives, crafting materials, a tactical baton, and a cell phone. Every single enemy in the game dies from a single shot to the head, and heavily armored opponents can be blown to bits with the many grenades hidden in your trench coat. Ammo is plentiful and never runs out. A major gameplay feature of Watch Dogs is Aiden's ability to use custom software on his cell phone to hack into thousands of things throughout the city. Bollards can be erected to stop speeding vehicles. Machinery hatches can be opened to use as cover. Enemy phones can be hacked to cause distractions, their comms can be overloaded, or even the grenades on their vests can be detonated if they don't get rid of them quickly. But none of the hacking opportunities really matter when you're strapping an LMG loaded with 75 rounds of one shot kill, ready to go at a moment's notice. The bigger hacks in the game, meanwhile, are treated as craftable objects instead of as a power up on your phone that needs to cooldown. This leads to players not having the big hacks when they need them, or having far too many of them which can be abused. Players even have a significant crutch in the form of a bullet time Focus Mode for when things get hairy. Cash is another strange issue. Aiden can effortlessly rob every person he passes by with an unsecured bank account without them ever knowing, and not only will he suffer zero consequences for this, but the player will quickly have so much money that they've bought the best weapons in the game and rendered all of the rest completely pointless. The open world itself is also poorly utilized. Police only appear when the plot wants them to and will otherwise allow the mass carnage of your fights with the criminal underworld to go unchecked even when they take place right in the middle of down town Chicago. The game puts far too big of an emphasis on gun murder for infiltrations that should be stealth puzzles of a sort, and as a whole, most of the side missions in the game don't amount to anything more than kill, hack, or drive very fast with little to no challenge to make these tasks feel meaningful or engaging.
Bad Blood suffers the same faults as the main game, with the added addition of an overpowered RC car that can explode, taze, and hack all on its own.
Presentation
The frustration continues here as well. When the game is at its best, it fully delivers an immersive simulation of walking down the streets of a city. The complete lack of music in these moments allows a vast library of random citizen conversations and animations to blend with the sound of passing cars and the occasional siren in the distance for a truly realized world. Then an ambulance on its way to save lives runs over three pedestrians and a lamp post before continuing on its way, and you're pulled right back to reality. The water in the game looks incredible but doesn't react bullets or explosives. The sound quality is excellent but often horribly mixed. The sheer volume of high quality animation is impressive which makes things like Aiden's shoddy reloading animations stick out when you have to see them so often. Still, the presentation is the best part of WD's package, with some of the best rain effects in the business, great character design, and a general feeling that people truly live in this city; until you mess it all up, anyways.
