Ein alter Pinball aus meiner Kindheit.
Hat mich natürlich sehr gefreut, als ich gesehen habe, dass es den Pinball hier auf Steam gibt.
Ich spiele den einfach super gerne, er ist Kult, leicht zu verstehen und sorgt für viele Stunden Spaß.

Ein in die Jahre gekommener Flipper-Tisch. Wenn ihr mich fragt ist es ja nicht schlecht aber man sollte sich im klaren darüber sein das ihr nicht mehr bekommt. Ist eben ein alter Flipper-Tisch.

Von mir gibt es einen Daumen runter weil der Preis überhaupt nicht zeitgemäß ist. Für ein par Cent wäre es ganz ok aber für 8 Euro?! Heilige Kartoffel Batman!! Das geht gar nicht.

Habe das Game letztes Jahr beim Summer Sale in einem Worms-Paket gekauft.
Ist halt ein (einziger) stinknormaler Flippertisch, nicht mehr und nicht weniger, funktioniert bei mir mit Win10 aber einwandfrei (Kugel reinschießen mit Enter und die Shift-Tasten für die Flipper links und rechts).
Von daher: Nix zu meckern und als Zusatz-Gimmick im Komplettpaket beim Sale absolut OK, andernfalls wesentlich zu teuer.

Grafisch ist es gut gelungen, man sollte aber kein HD erwarten.

Ist ganz nett aber mehr auch nicht.

Fazit:

Das Flippern macht schon Spass, da es recht gut funktioniert. Doch leider ist es nicht mehr als ein Minispiel. Es gibt nur einen Tisch und nichts zum Freispielen, wer ein gutes Flipperspiel spielen will was genauso ist und kostenlos kann auch das von Windows nehmen das ist Grafisch und Physik mässig diesem Spiel sehr ähnlich.

Läuft bei mir nicht wirklich es startet zwar allerdings habe ich danach nur noch Bildfehler und es sieht aus wie ein Fernsehprogramm vor 50 Jahren bei Sturm. Keine Ahnung ob es an meinem PC liegt allerdings glaube ich nicht das es an den Systemanforderungen liegt.
Kann ich nicht empfehlen!

The physics are dated, but the fun factor is still surprisingly high 24 years later. I'm willing to bet that the guys who made this are pinheads, because there is a lot of attention to detail here, and the table has a decent flow, and good variety.

And it even has vertical screen support built in. Only one table though, so unless you're a pinball maniac, it may be best to wait for a sale.

Compared to most pinball games, even older ones, this one is limited. One table and settings are pretty limited.

Worms Pinball (1998)

So this game baffles me a bit. Its a Worms pinball game without the worms which is kinda the selling point... As a pinball game... well I mean its a pinball game... you launch the ball, hit it around a bit and build up score. Shake the machine too much and it tilt, freezing and you can only watch helplessly as the ball falls downward. The only reason this review is negative is because its a Worms game without the worms. As a pinball game its fine. I mean if you waited a few years for Windows XP to come out you could play that Space Cadet pinball game for free.

Perhaps if they replaced the ball with a grenade and the points you make was to blow up worms or something it would be more entertaining and on point with what the worm games actually is. As it stands its a pinball game with some worm pictures pasted on the pinball machine.

Worms Pinball is funny for a while but there is only one table so the game experience gets boring pretty soon. Sounds and graphics are cool.

A good fun pinball game graphics are clearly old but still playable and not to easy not to hard I will play again if I feel the need for pinball

The Worms series are part of my childhood and they were amazing. Worms pinball nevertheless, is huge crap.

First, the ball doesn’t roll. It looks like The Flash when he phases through walls. Or it could be an epileptic seizure. I am not sure yet.

Furthermore, the game doesn’t want to tell you what the controls are. Why???? It’s “Enter” to start the game and “left shift” and “right shift” for the pinball table.

And there is only one pinball table. That’s so poor… I mean, come on… just 1.

And the resolution is horrible. The best you can have is: 1024 x 768.

Don’t waste your money on this.

PS: To the guy that left a review and played this game for 59 hours: What’s wrong with you???

Don't buy this. If it's part of a bundle you can give it a quick half hour or so. It's just one pinball table though, it's not exactly the most visually appealing table either. Resolution is also mildly scuffed as its 1024 x 768 at most.

Also, the game never goes over the controls. You press enter to start the game. Left and right shift control the flippers.

It's Worms, but with pinball. Quite a random combination to have, but it was released around a time when computer pinball games were having a brief surge of popularity around the mid to late 90s. Worms was also fairly popular around that time period so I can only assume that the developers brought two and two together for a random but yet throwaway release with this version.

There are no various assortment of table styles involved in this game. What you see is what you get, one table all the time, which can only be stretched so far until you thin it out. For a Worms table, it does a serviceable job, the art is colorful, the design is cool, there's so much to do as to where to send the ball to which is honestly an essential in any pinball game.

However, I've got a couple knocks on this particular game. It's got a lack of options and how lacking? It's only concern is Graphics (resolution, view, detail), Game (like difficulty, tournament, plunge setting) and that's pretty much it. Did I mention there's no windowed mode? No because there is none and if you wish to adjust the volume, that means having to poke out with alt tab to change it's volume which is inconvenient.

The other gripe is that it's pinball physics is quite lacking. I just didn't feel like the fluidity was really there in how you hit the ball and where you're sending it off to. Balls of Steel was released a year prior and had a much better grasp in the physics of a pinball game. Even if both of these games and more were in a period where all pinball games just emulated the feel and only were half as good as the real thing.

Not a lot of variety. Not a lot of options. Not a lot of good gameplay by pinball standards. Pinball gamers may get this just as another table to have on their digital collection, even though it'll be so low on their list of good tables. Worms fans probably have avoided this title because they prefer the chaotic action of a standard Worms game than to bother with a random pinball title with just Worms in name and visual.

I'm glad i got this in a humble bundle with 4 other worms games for 1€.
Are they insane charging 7,99€ for this? It should be freeware.

1 table, nothing else, nothing. And that one is totally boring. DONT BUY IT!!! Boring music and the usual worm voice samples.

It's an old game, so i'm no going to complain about the low resolution, bad graphics (but now you know).

I'm shocked to see this cost 7,99€ - there is ALMOST no content in the game.

While this is a product of its time it has aged very well and is still a lot of fun to play. The physics are good considering it came out so long ago. The table uses a fan laying and has a lot of depth for a pinball game that isn't based on a real table.
