Zu zweit einfach ein guter Zeitvertreib. Mit Scharfschützengewehren und Sidearms Horden von Nazizombies killen. Das Spiel ist vollgepackt mit Eastereggs, Sammlerstücken und Anlehnungen an die Popkultur. Wer zu ein paar Bier mit einem oder mehreren Freunden Lust hat lustige Abenteuer und allerlei Nonsens zu erleben ist hier wirklich bestens bedient......und Zombie-Hitler

Völlig überbewertet. Die DLC Politik ist ja auch wohl mal ein Knaller. Ärgert mich, dass ich es nicht zurück geben kann.

Alles in einem macht das Game schon Spaß. Das aber viele Sachen hinter einer dreisten Paywall versteckt sind macht es für mich wieder unbrauchbar. Vollpreistitel mit sehr vielen Microtransaktionen. Ich habe nichts dagegen für extra Kontent zu bezahlen aber doch nicht für jeden kleinsten Dreck.

Zombie Army 4 Dead War,

die Zombies sind wieder da und dieses mal dürfen wir ca mit Freunden oder Randoms zusammen spielen.
Von der Optik sind das Spiel echt cool aus und ist von der Steuerung her leicht gehalten.

Outfits wechseln, zwischen Charaktere wechseln, Leveln (allgemein), Perks für Waffen und Charaktere, dass sind paar Beispiele von Besonderheiten von Dead War was gut ist.
Es gibt viele verschieden Levels (Missionen) die von der Optik sehr gut und abwechslungsreich gestaltet sind aber die Missionen geben leider bissel wenig Abwechslung. Größtenteils kämpft man sich durch die Levels, und man muss mal was verteidigen oder was suchen.

Soweit macht das Spiel sehr viel Spaß aber viel mehr wenn man es mit jemand zusammen zockt.

Wer auf Zombies abballern steht wird mit Dead War sehr viel Spaß haben.

Kann das Spiel nur weiter Empfehlen.

Better than the old ones !!

-Movement alot better you can finally move while throw an aimed grenade

-Weapon sounds are very good

-Graphic is good with above 100 fps for me (1080 ti @ i7 - 8700k)

it only felt to easy cause the machine gun can mostly 1 hit kill normal zombies with headshoots

I would recommend buying it on a cheap Sale cause there are also DLC's

Also ich Persöhnlich finde das spiel als gut gelungen. Außer bei gewisse kapitel etwas zu schwer gemacht (auch auf leicht) aber sonst ist die Grafik finde ich top, eine gute Geschichte steckt dahinter. Würde es weiter empfehlen Lg.

I never had more fun in any other game like in the Zombie Army series.
Yea this game is very expensive if u want to unlock everything but if u r familiar with the Zombie Army games and u have had a lot of fun then i think its worth it.

Zombie Army 4 ist für mich eines der besten Spiele, dich ich je gespielt habe!

Die Level sind sehr liebevoll und abwechlungsreich gestaltet. Natürlich sind sie duster und morbid, aber so muss es ja bei einem solchen Spiel auch sein ???? Die Gegner müssen unterschiedlich bekämpft werden und es gibt immer etwas, an dem man arbeiten kann (Leveln, Waffen upgraden, etc.). Klasse finde ich zudem, dass man den Schwierigkeitsgrad nach eigenem Geschmack, Geschick, oder Lust anpassen kann. Von lustigem Ballern bis hin zu echt heftigen Herausforderungen, kann man die Schwierigkeit nahezu beliebig einstellen. Im Koop macht es auch unglaublich viel Fun!

Noch kurz zur DLC-Politik: Ich finde sie sehr gelungen und fair. Es ist ganz klar KEIN pay to win! Ich besitze einige DLC´s, weil ich einfach auf Abwechslung bei den Waffen und Charaktern sowie bei Vanity-Items stehe. Die DLC-Preise finde ich fair. Zudem sind die DLC´s kein Muss um Spaß zu haben.

Fazit: Ein Hammer-Spiel mit sehr hohem Wiederspielwert und Abwechslungsreichtum.

10/10!

Erst mal vorweg, wer den Vorgänger Zombie Army Trilogy bereits hat und damit viel Spaß hatte, der kann hier schon aufhören zu lesen und blind zugreifen. Es übertrifft seine Vorgänger. Ja so einfach ist es manchmal, zudem ist das Spiel uncut.

---Zombie Army worum geht es?---

Wer noch nie etwas von Zombie Army gehört hat, der sei hier darauf hingewiesen, dass es sich dabei um einen Ableger der Sniper Elite Reihe handelt. Sniper Elite ist ein taktisch angehauchter Shooter der im 2. Weltkrieg spielt, bei dem sowohl lautloses Vorgehen als auch Ballern zum Erfolg führt (oder auch nicht). Bei dem Ableger Zombie Army ist der 2. Weltkrieg vorbei und Hitler lässt seine Armeen wieder von den Toten auferstehen, woraufhin Europa aufs Neue überrannt wird. Im Gegensatz zu Sniper Elite, wo man Gegner möglichst lautlos und Schritt für Schritt dezimiert, werden hier ganze Horden von Zombies auf einmal auf einen losgelassen. Hier steht kein taktisches Vorgehen, sondern kreatives Metzeln im Vordergrund. Das Spiel ist getränkt mit einer ordentlichen Prise von schwarzem Humor. Die musikalische Untermalung orientiert sich zudem an Zombie Filmen der 70iger und 80iger Jahre, hier entsteht dann eine schöne Zombie-Endzeit-Atmosphäre der nostalgischen Art.

---Was wird geboten?---

Die Kampagne im Singleplayer lässt sich alleine bestreiten oder mit 4 Spielern im Coop, quasi Metzelspaß für die ganze Familie. Alleine hat man es etwas schwerer, gemeinsam mit Freunden ist es natürlich leichter und witziger. Auch Perks sind vorhanden, mit denen man seinen Charakter offensiv, defensiv oder passiv anpassen kann, um daraus Vorteile für ein gemeinsames Spiel im Coop oder als einsamer Terminator zu erhalten. PvP gibt es nicht. Ein Hordenmodus ist zudem vorhanden, bei dem man alleine oder zu viert Gegnerwellen abwehren kann, auch wöchentliche Herausforderungen sind vorhanden. Die Gesamtspielzeit der Kampagne schwankt, man kann durchrennen oder sich 25 Stunden Zeit lassen. Weitere Missionen stehen per DLC bereit.

Die Gegnermassen werden in der Kampagne in regelmäßigen Abständen durch neue Feindarten und einen individuellen Boss ergänzt, somit bleibt das Dauerschlachten immer frisch und artet selten in Monotonie aus, so lange man es nicht den ganzen Tag zockt. Waffenupgrades, Fallen, Gadgets und Spezialwaffen lassen uns aufregende Kill Streaks gestalten, die schon mal die 100er Marke brechen können. Es lassen sich auch Spezialangriffe durch Kills aufladen. Nach 10 Stunden Spielzeit, hat man schon 3000 Zombies gekillt und noch einiges vor sich.

---Für wen geeignet?---

Wer auf ein Zombie Setting steht und gerne mal zwischendurch alleine oder zusammen mit Freunden einfach nur ballern möchte, der ist hier richtig.

Ich muss glaube ich nicht erwähnen, dass das Spiel nichts für Kinder ist. Hier fliegen die Körperteile nur so durch die Gegend, sofern sie nicht vorher zerplatzen. Hirn benötigt man zu keiner Zeit, man muss es nur überall verteilen. Zwischendurch kann man sich auch mal auf der Toilette die Hände waschen, das Spiel ist wie gesagt mit schwarzem Humor unterlegt und man sollte das Ganze auch nicht allzu ernst nehmen, die Story sowieso nicht.

Und dann wäre da natürlich noch die „Kill Cam“ eine Spezialität der Zombie Army Reihe (auch in Sniper Elite), da werden gezielte Treffer aus großer Distanz, zur Belohnung per Kameraansicht detailliert dargestellt. Wir verfolgen die Flugbahn des Projektils, während der Gegner in Röntgenansicht dargestellt wird. Nur damit man nicht verpasst, was die Kugel auch im Innern des Körpers anrichtet, wäre doch schade wenn einem das in dem Chaos entgeht oder? Also nix für Kinderhände.

---Technik---

Grafik und Sound sind recht gut gelungen, man darf hier aber nicht den aktuellen Stand der Technik erwarten, dafür läuft es aber flüssig. Gravierende Bugs konnte ich nicht entdecken, zudem wird das Spiel regelmäßig gepatcht (Stand 8.4.2021)

---Steuerung---

Die Steuerung ist etwas unpräzise, aber nach einer gewissen Eingewöhnungszeit, kann man damit leben. Da braucht keiner Angst haben, ich meckere nur, weil man das alles schon mal geschmeidiger erlebt hat, es lässt sich gut spielen.

---Preis---

Das Spiel ist recht teuer, aber es handelt sich hier nicht um einen Triple A Titel, sondern um ein Nischenprodukt. Fans der Reihe können hier den Entwickler supporten, Newcomer warten evtl. auf den Sale und können sich auch die kosmetischen DLCs sparen.

guter 3rd person shooter, mal eine alternative anstatt immer nur call of duty zombies die fangen nämlich langsam damit an zu nerven mit den ständigen programmierfehlern, updates und kaum noch zählbaren gravierenden bugs . exzellente grafik und gameplay.. macht weiter so

Gelungene Fortsetzung der Serie

Kurzweiliger TPP-Zombieshooter mit erneut großartig alberner Geisterbahnatmosphäre. Hauptsächlich was für den Koop-Modus (bis zu 4 Personen). Wie alle Sniper-Elite-Derivate aber vollkommen überteuert. Auf einen Sale warten, dann kommt man auf seine Kosten.

Hauptkritikpunkt ist für mich neben dem Preis, dass es leider keine FPP gibt – aber auch hier bleibt die Serie sich halt treu. Kann man nix machen.

Daumen hoch und Dank an meinen Gönner.

Mal abgesehen von Spionage Gerüchten und Co wo einen Faden Nachgeschmack hinterlässt und auch mich vom Kauf abhielt und vor allem noch die Preispolitik nach mehr als einem Jahr exclusivität.
Das Spiel ist so das beste Koop Spiel das ich gezockt habe, Performance ist astrein und macht riesenspaß. Es sieht noch dazu sehr gut aus. Das Spiel ist in keiner Hinsicht nicht empfehlenswert. Bei mir leuft es mit konstant 120 frames bei 4k auf ner 6900xt und nem 3950x.

Vorab gesagt: Ja! das Spiel ist 100% uncut mit Gore, Symbolik und auf deutsch (Menüsprache und mit deutschen Untertitel)

Super Zombie Spiel mit schöner Kampagne und Spass machender Horden-Modus auf unterschiedlichen Maps. Am besten man schnappt sich paar Steam Kollegen und dann kannst losgehen.

Das Spiel ist zwar nicht ganz bugfrei, wie paar Kollegen berichten und bei mir funktionierte das graveyard shift achievement erst, als ich meine Save files gelöscht habe bzw. Von vorne anfangen durfte mit dem Leveln, aber es ist ein dennoch tolles Spiel es läuft auch auf alten Rechner recht flüssig mit konstant hohen Framerates zwischen 60 und 140 fps.

Holt es euch ! Meine Empfehlung!

An Alle, die hier im Forum über zu hohe Spielpreise winseln:
Ich habe hier extra die DeLuxe Version gekauft, um mit Rebellion einen der letzen, unabhängigen Spieleentwickler zu unterstützen.
Wer mit seiner Geiz-ist-Geil-Mentalität kein Geld mehr in gute Spiele investieren will, findet bald nur noch mittelmäßige gratis Games mit PaytoWin und InGame-Käufen.

Meldet Euch schonmal bei EpicGames und Ubisoft an..

Ich habe seit Sniper Elite anno 2005 jedes neue Game von Rebellion gekauft und wurde qualitativ nie enttäuscht. Ihr bekommt hier ein ausgereiftes, bugfreies Game.

Really underrated, highly-replayable game, made very challenging if you play on Hard or Nightmare. On base game, you have 9 campaign chapters and 4 horde maps, coupled with weekly challenges, making it a game you revisit weekly. DLCs are a bit expensive, but they basically add an entire new game of chapters and horde maps, making the price reasonable. Fun co-op game. Highly underrated, IMO.

Undoubtedly the best zombie shooter that is super fun in co-op. The zombie killing feels just right and the juicy finishers could easily compete with those of Mortal Kombat.

Don't mind my number of hours on Steam, as I put countless hours into the game since its release on Epic.

Loving this game and if the DLC missions are 75-80% off I shall buy them.
It's Sniper Elite as you know it, but a lil more CQC as it's with Zombie's.
The game has plenty of gametime, collectibles and upgrades.

I will mention that the DLC weapons require stuff like 50 kills from 50meters away and that stuff is a nightmare.
It's a to big of a grind to fully unlock all the DLC upgrades.

But I definitely recommend buying this game and I'm happy that it runs smooth on Windows 7

The game itself is fun but I can't recommend it to purchase due to the absolutely ridiculous amount of content locked behind paid DLC. Guns that were freely available in the previous games are suddenly a couple dollars each. They took a good chunk of the base game and for whatever reason stuck it behind literally hundreds of dollars of micro-transactions. This is the kind of nonsense consumers need to call out as a totally unacceptable business practice.

Fun game. excellent Grapahics. really good gameplay. but i cannot recommend this travesty.

300 dollars of nickle and dime DLC ( during the winter discount of 33% . so expect to pay more if you wanna whale this out on the reg.) for a game you already paid 50-80 as a bar of entry to play/.. That's too much. if you're gonna do the live service predatory bullshit then at least have the balls to make your game free.

maybe the guys at rebellion were finally overtaken by zombies and thus want nothing else but to devour their player base.

I've never refunded a gift. But fuck if I'm not refunding this. those 40 bucks can go to someone who actually cares about keeping a decent and friendly rapport with their players. I'm gonna wait a few years for them to stop being greedy and predating on gamers and probably buy a complete edition if it ever comes out. Don't buy this. don't let them know they can fuck with your investment on a franchise for profit.

but i saw a lot of micro transactions i feel like rebelion is becoming misguided a bit , please don't go Rockstar or dice style or you will end up like Battlefield 2042 or gta trilogy . The hate grows in silence then shows up at new launch.

Honestly, came from the previous Zombie Armys, while this game may look better it's a real shame it's the definition of pay to win, really. Practically everything is locked behind egregious paywalls. Even the guns! You get like 3 weapons, the rest you have to buy.
However, it still retains the fun of the previous games, *especially* if you're playing with friends! The gameplay really does hit

Overall, I can't overlook the excessive paywalls. So I wouldn't recommend. Maybe get Zombie Army Trilogy instead.

Im a fan of the zombie army series but this is just a blatant cash grab where they butchered the game everywhere they could so they would squeeze as much money from you as possible.

Bought the Super Deluxe edition on sale and it only gives you access to ONE season, the other 2 are still locked behind a paywall.

For you to own the complete game it would cost you 400€... yeah, FOUR HUNDRED EUROS!!! The price of a FREAKING PS4 for 1 single game. Im not even kidding, you can buy a brand new PS4 PRO with 3 games for 399€.

Screw you Rebellion, you scummy pieces of garbage, you are now on par with Ubisoft, EA and whatever other shitty companies that do this crap.

I bought the SUPER DELUXE edition, yes i did and i thought i will own almost all of the contents but no darling, there is massive of it you just have to buy a little bit to complete the game, besides buy to support the Dev they said right ?, and yes i show my generosity (hah hah idiot), but no, hell no my sweat dear, there is still MORE, a lot MORE contents you miss season this, season that, weapons, ,maps, badass stuff eh ? .... madafackar :D !

Definitely Yes!!! But....

First of all this is not a short game if you like to kill nazi especially nazi zombies. Story music shooting gadgets is so fun and then stacking combos uff OP. I played this as solo (hard mode) so just think how much its gonna be fun with friends. Wish they gave us dlcs for free lol so that sniper elite fans can enjoy even more. I can't wait for next Sniper Elite 5 and yes Zombie Army 5 Too :D

But paying for the guns?? That's too much.. Wish they didn't did like this. Don't hurt the feelings of your loyal fans.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a bad joke. I usually don’t write negative reviews, but now, it is warranted. Not because the game isn’t fun or anything—actually, it’s plenty fun, except for the fact that it’s ruined by the countless microtransactions they throw in your face. Seriously, I’ve never played a game that locked so much content behind a paywall. And the worst part: The main campaigns are redundant and the finale is the laziest piece of work I’ve ever seen. Not to mention that they barely bothered to come up with a proper story. The anticlimactic, short ending was the last straw for me, specifically compared to Zombie Army Trilogy.

The former titles are where the real entertainment is at. If you are looking for zombie-killing fun, then avoid this massive cash grab. 50 € for the base game alone—and then they try to sell you season passes and other content (including various maps that are separated into single, overly pricey DLCs) worth over 100 €, and here’s the kicker: Buying a season pass doesn’t give you full access. They even locked base game characters behind paywalls with cosmetics that my 12-year-old self could have come up with during a drawing session.

I thought I’ll play this game for over 100 hours, but by the looks of it, there is not much replay value for Zombie Army 4 unless you want to burn a few money trees for an at best average game that had its incredible potential wasted. Also, the colour palette is kind of ugly and not as vibrant as I would like it to be. I care a lot about the right atmosphere in games, and this one doesn’t offer you that.

The few positive qualities I can point out are:
• The music is great as usual. I totally adore the soundtrack of the games.
• The enemies are cool and pretty terrifying at times.
• The melee attacks, combat system, and weapon upgrades are a nice change.
• I enjoy the addition of perks, although a lot of them are unnecessary/too situational.
• I like the little stickers and posters you can earn and admire.
• The Weekly Events can be engaging.

To sum it up, stay away from this game if you hate scummy business tactics. Zombie Army 4 is not worth the 50 €. I bought it during a sale for roughly 20 €. Not worth it either.

Unless you've got an extra couple hundred bucks in your back pocket that need burning, avoid this. Every additional level, most of the weapons, and pretty much anything to make this game fun are part of a microtransaction. I got this game on a deep sale, only to discover that buying the game was only like 20% of the content. Avoid at all costs (and there are many, many, costs)

Zombie Army 4 - Dead War is a bit of a misleading title for this game. A more accurate title would have been Zombie Army 4 - Doodad Hunter, or perhaps Zombie Army 4 - Switch Thrower. You'll spend a good deal of time trying to find the doodad to place into the widget that then needs to simmer for a while before you can take it to the next thingy to then press a button and throw a switch. Repeatedly. Unlike the first two episodes of Zombie Army Trilogy which are simplistic and pure in their objectives ZA4 takes busy work to a whole new level. I find it tedious, and also I am missing the straightforward approach of ZAT. In Zombie Army Trilogy you chose your load out and are given one objective- clear the area of undead Nazis and get to the safe room which was generously equipped with supplies. Not so much in Zombie Army 4. There's barely much of anything included in the safe rooms this time around with the exception of a workbench. You will need to use those workbenches as you add upgrade kits to your chosen set of gear. Want to be able to reload your weapon? Apply an upgrade kit. Need to get the zoom to actually work on your rifle scope? You will have to add an upgrade kit to get it to function as expected. Oh, and you'll also have to at least reached level 20 first through XP gains as well before some of these basic options will be unlockable. I have to ask who thought this was a good game mechanic to implement? For myself these are nuisance problems that detract from the game play.

I am somewhat disappointed with this continuation of Zombie Army. The game's graphics are impressive, the level of detail is amazing to say the least. Rebellion absolutely did a great job in this aspect. But that's really the only positive from my perspective so far. I could care less about the plot, it's irrelevant. I just follow those pesky yellow pentagrams to the next doodad or area or switch and kept on trucking busting open zombie noggins along the way. The voice acting is corny and forced, NPCs you encounter through the main campaign don't add much of anything to the story.

Finally there is one other problem here that needs to be addressed. The business model that Rebellion has chosen to go with is absolutely obnoxious. Not only is this a premium game with a hefty asking price Rebellion made the decision to silo add on maps, extra characters, weapons, etc. in a rather mercenary cost scheme. This is something I will not support. As of August 2021 if one were to buy all the add on offerings it would total nearly $400. Are you kidding? As it is I purchased the base game only during the annual Steam Summer sale and that's it. I'm not enjoying ZA4 enough with the base game to merit buying anything additional at this point and even a few years from now when it's all more reasonably priced with a heavy discount I'm not sure I would buy any of it then either. It's just not that good. Go play Zombie Army Trilogy instead. If you do buy ZA4 get the base game only when it is on sale.

TL:DR: Honestly not worth the current asking price, but it is a fun game

A quick review about Zombie Army 4: Dead War
It is a fun zombie shooter game. The nightmare update made it a bit more difficult and added more challenge to the game
However, Rebellion is with this game more worse than EA if it comes to Microtransactions. It is a fun game to play

Why shouldn't you buy this game at full price?
- You have to realize that this game was already released under Epic games, then came to steam full price.
- The third season of DLC content is very different compared to other DLC's, reusing levels from sniper Elite 4, making the levels much smaller compared to the other levels (and less replayable)
- developers aren't fixing bugs and glitches that have been reported for months.
- You have to spend a lot of money getting DLC content, lets look at these costs:
DLC LEVELS: 62,-
CHARACTER PACKS: 40,-
CHARMS: 15,-
WEAPONS: AROUND 75,- (Keep in mind there are weapons from ZAT that you have to pay for, and the base game is 50,-
I got done with these costs, but the cheapest option for everything is still 155,- (3 season passes and the base games)

Just buy this game when it goes into a sale, don't spend extra money on this expensive zombie shooter

Game won't launch. I played with my friends over 10 hours but now, I can't play the game for some odd reason. Specs are well above requirements: RTX 2060 Super, Ryzen 5 5600X
Contacted support, no help yet. This is just unbearable. I did everything they said, verified files, checked drivers and updates, deleted and redownloaded the game twice, you name it. After I launch the game via DX12, a short black screen and then the crash report screen. I can play any other game with no problems including Cyberpunk hahah. What a shame

TL;DR: Get the game on sale, don't buy any DLCs, it's a dirty cash grab that Rebellion seems to be doing for all of their games.

This game can only be recommened if I pretend there are not more than 70 DLCs.

Game is decent, there are only 3 weapons to choose from in each weapon slot. This is somewhat acceptable, as the weapons can be upgraded now. The addition of perks works. The game has more of an arcade feel now, than the previous games.

Rebellion still haven't figured out how to implement anti-cheat for their high scores. This has been an issue for all the sniper elite and zombie army games, that had high scores. The easiest fix would be to remove the high scores, since they are useless when everyone has the same high score.

Overall the game is good as a co-op shooter or solo. Just don't buy any of the DLCs and ignore the high score.

too expensive. the game has been out for over a year but still too overpriced. at this time. the dev should pack every content , every dlc into one pack and sell them for $50 only. but nahh, they re just too fking greedy, $150 for all DLCs beside the main game? wtf is this ?
because it is toooooo expenisve to own every content in this game. i did hope they allow players that don't own DLC can join DLC content game as long as the host own it, but nah, they require every player have to own DLC in order to play DLC contents together. making it so damn fking imposible to play all content with my friends, because they don't own DLC content, they re not rich. they can only acquire the main game, and i can only gift them the main game because i am not a millionaire also. please stop being so fking greedy and give us a chance to have everything in game to enjoy the full game together please.

you can play solo or multiply the fun with friends.

i think this game is really enjoyable but i have many problems with the micro-transactions that plague this game. This comes from someone who has put many hours into the zombie army trilogy and had moved onto zombie army 4.

Firstly, the amount of accessible content in terms of weapons and character without purchasing the £90 worth of season passes, is highly limited. This is really sad to me as the zombie army trilogy had a plethora of guns available, all with different characteristics. This game gives you 3 rifles, 3 secondaries and 3 sidearms. This is an abysmal choice of weaponry compared to this game's predecessor which boasted many more.
furthermore the weapons you have to purchase all previously stared in the trilogy which makes this ever more infuriating as i would have liked to continue using weapons such as the Lee Enfield but instead i was stuck with 3 other weapons.
This is my main gripe as the cosmetics don't bother me personally but putting the majority of weapons behind a paywall is really disheartening. Adding to this the DLC is shoved in your face. You don't get a break with this game, it always nudges you to purchase DLC.

Secondly, for those who enjoyed the difficult of the previous game, there is a lack of challenge. I played the whole campaign with 1 other friend on a 4 player setup on hard difficulty. Personally i'm not sure if the enemy count levels with the player count but from what i can tell (as i never hosted) the enemy count was lackluster at times. Only after a difficulty spike later in the game did zombie numbers ramp up to very impressive levels. The enemy hitboxes are larger which does make the kill counts more enjoyable but may be a little disappointing to some. Regardless, at the end of the game the hordes are very fun to cut into but the start can be annoying as your combo never gets very high. - it may be worth noting my friend was incredibly good at the shooting, so for those more casual the numbers may be suitable, you will end up sniping a couple hundred+ towards the end in horde sections.

There are a few needless mechanics such as stamina management which is needless but this is only a small gripe.

I did in-fact give this game a thumbs up for a reason. When the issues of £90 worth of season passes and weird design choices are ignored. The base game is incredibly fun. The UI is very accessible, the weapons have a fun upgrading system and feel great to play with. I personally went down the route of explosive ammunition for my sniper which made combat very satisfying. There is a perk system that can spice up the game, many of which are superfluous but a few kept me interested in that mechanic. The enemy variety is good, there are mini bosses and a nice variety of enemies. The score system for killing returns, this time way more colourful. Higher killstreaks give you a nice number on the right, changing to ever more vibrant colours the more kills you get. The score multiplies more and more. There is a lot of equipment and special weapon attachments alongside the signature weapons like the preacher return. The campaign took 16 hours to complete, that's with hunting for secrets and collectables, something my friend was very eager to hunt for considering the trilogy was full of them. This is definitely a good campaign time, especially since the perks and weapon choices give more replay-ability. Finally, since this is a sniper elite game, the slowmotion bullet time/camera stuff returns, it adds very much to the gameplay loop. When fighting a horde of zombies, this all culminates to an exhilarating and enjoyable game which i will definitely return too.

Overall i did very much enjoy this game as the base content is very high quality and satisfying. I would definitely recommend it as i enjoyed this too much to leave a bad review. It's just a real shame that this game was full of microtransactions, enough to buy this game twice over.

TL;DR: The game is good, it's fun. It improves upon the original trilogy. Cannot recomment because of shady developer practices when it comes to pricing and distribution of additional DLCs. There's 3 season passes, each costs almost as much as the base game, and doesn't add anything more than a few levels and guns. Oh, and you can buy all those separately.

The graphics aren't bad. Gameplay is the same as the previous game, sans the new specialized grenades, takedown, special melee attacks, weapon attatchments and such. The levels are pretty fun when playing togheter with other players and might offer a bit of a challenge if you turn up the difficulty. It's a fun game with friends.

Sadly, cannot recommend this at a full price, only at a VERY VERY VERY deep discount. The base game has almost as many levels as the original trilogy, but you're limited to 3 types of primary weapons, 3 secondaries and 3 sidearms. If you want more guns, you gotta buy them individually or buy the season pass.

By the way, there's 3 season passes, and each costs almost as much as the base game. Each gives you some skins, some new weapons and 3 new levels on the campaigns each. If you REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoyed the game, you might consider buying them, but at that point, it might just be better to buy the new levels separately as they're the bulk of the content added on the season passes.

In short, the game is good, but scummy practice by the developers when it comes to pricing and distributing additional DLC content are what make me not recommend this.

Paywall can go $@#% itself. Don't buy this at full price as it has many guns from the previous games behind it. While it is fun, I'll be waiting for sales to happen because I love playing the series with my siblings.

A really fun continuation of the the spinoff franchise. Although waiting for a sale would be your best bet maybe 50%-75% off. The dlc's are expensive so if you want those again waiting for a sale is your best bet :)!

it's alot of fun, but waiting a year to release the game to steam at full price was a mistake.
co-op is dead at launch despite having epig games crossplay, you're either playing with friends or you're spending a few minutes looking for campaign players, Good luck trying to find players for horde mode.

i'd only get this if you have some friends to play with, or you dont mind playing solo.

First of all, I LOVE the Zombie Army games.
However for this one...
I thought it was a newly released game (as stated)
I was wrong, I didn't realise it was the same one I've already played on PS4 a year ago.
(ok my bad but I was excited)
I didn't refund the game after realising because I love the series anyway so thought I'd play again..
Only to find out it now comes with £226 worth of DLC instead of being able to unlock things, you literally have to buy them... This DLC includes achievements so i can't even get them all without buying the DLC.
If i realised all these things in time I would have got a refund. So if anyone's on the fence about buying this, don't.
Wait for a sale.. especially if you've played it before.

All the good from the trilogy with a load of good stuff added. The upgrades make it so much more fun. Satisfying zombie killing.

Honestly don't understand why people buy these games, can't believe there's 4 entries in this series when it's the same thing over & over.

Not to mention... what the actual fuck is going on with the DLC, it's actually WORSE than paradox - at least they add meaningful content not overpriced cosmetic bullshit lol - and to think the devs had already received a big fat bag of cash from epic as well..... no wonder there's so little reviews!

Let me be honest.

Its made by Rebellion, it uses the same characters you know from Sniper Elite series, yet its NOT Sniper Elite.

Just to make that clear.

Its basically Rebellions version of Left For Dead.

So as long as you know your going to spend less time looking through the scope and more time blind firing into hordes of zombies, then you should have your expectations down pat.

Dont get me wrong, I knew it wasnt going to be like sniper elite, Im just making it clear for other people haha.

Best is Co-op, up to 4 players, great value, each weapon has different types of upgrades that you can do, so that you can really adjust to your own playstyle.

So far the game-play feels far smoother than trilogy, more in line with how strange brigade felt(which is a good thing). The snipers actually do something(unlike trilogy) and they seemed to have removed the x-ray aspect which I don't mind given it doesn't really go in a zombie game this crowded with zombies. But I'd still wait for the price to drop given there's 2 year passes so far. But if you liked Strange Brigade and want a slightly faster paced game than it's predecessors then you'll like this.

game is fantastic price however is not

as someone that hates epicgames and simply uses them for free games ill never play service.
games that go exclusive need to work hard to regain some loyalty. selling your game thats a year old for a mear 10% off not to mention not including the season pass year 2 in the dlc top edition is a crime in itself.

seriously give people that bought the Super Deluxe Edition season pass year 2 and refund the people that have bought it on its on. it looks really bad on you and it makes us hate the game before even playing it.

small game review,

great vulkan support means this game runs near perfect. running a gtx 1070 and xeon 1650 v3 and it runs perfect 150+ fps on ultra and looks stunning. the gameplay is fun. and its the best version of zombie army 4 to date. seriously well done.

If you are looking for more of the same with some extra icing on top. ZA4 will do just fine.

If you love ZAT, you can't go wrong with ZA4. However, the current asking price is too much for what it is at this time. It is not a new game, but a discounted game from EGS.

imo, ZA4 will do much better coming here if it has lowered price, or at least deeper or similar discounts to EGS's. I am not recommending this at this price, especially if you have another coming games.
