Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
The past couple of days have been a hell of a ride for us – not only did we release long-awaited controller support along with the dynamic fuel prices update for Gas Station Simulator, but we also hosted our own Franchise Sale, where we finally announced a brand-new expansion for Gas Station Simulator. And that’s gonna be the main topic of today’s development update. If you somehow missed the initial announcement, feel free to check out the Steam page for some further information regarding the DLC. Now, today we’ll delve into some essential information – we’ll be talking about your potential guests (and their needs, and trust me – they can be very picky), how the whole booking system works within the game, and possible events you might encounter (it wouldn’t be a proper DLC without those, right?). So, hop in, fasten your seatbelt, and let’s ride! ????
Booking ????
Let’s start from the very beginning. So far, every single DLC that we’ve released for Gas Station Sim has a go-to structure that contains all of the necessary details you need to know if you want to ensure proper functioning of your business. For the Car Junkyard DLC we have a board, for instance. With the RV Camp DLC, the situation is gonna be basically the same, but instead of a board, you’ll spend a huge chunk of your time going through the Guest Book (code name for now, might be changed in the future). Now, within the Guest Book, you will find all of the necessary details. This includes information about your guests (more on that below), available parking spots, campers waiting in the queue, and most importantly, a check-in option.
Guests ????
Guests are the equivalent of customers who stop by your gas station. However, every single guest has a certain set of services that you will need to complete to increase their wellness level, which, to put it simply – will result in higher income. Now, you might be wondering what kind of services you will have to provide. While that’s a pretty damn good question and ideally the topic for a whole new devlog, I can’t stop myself from giving you some spoilers. So, let’s say these services might include doing the laundry, setting up the SPA, or serving some juicy sausages right from the barbecue. But we’re more than open to your suggestions, so let us know in the comments what you think about these services and if you have any ideas, feel free to share them with us as well.Events ????️
As I wrote at the beginning of this announcement – you wouldn’t call it a proper DLC without some DLC-related events. And that’s where the bad news comes into play, because you might expect the return of a real pain in the butt. Yes – I’m talking about Dennis. The disturbing kiddo doesn’t give up that easily, and in the RV Camp DLC, he will do whatever it takes to make your guests’ lives miserable. Let’s see below what he has in store this time ????
WDC World Ocean Day Charity Sale ????
We are excited to announce that we are supporting WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, for World Ocean Day! The WDC World Ocean Day Sale starts today and runs until 12th June, 10am PDT 2025, and you can save a fin-tastic 45% off Gas Station Simulator. We will also donate 10% of our net profits to WDC to support their conservation work. How your support will help this year ????
By purchasing games from this year’s World Ocean Day sale, you will help WDC continue their global conservation work, as well as their ghost gear removal project, funding 10 missions for divers to remove lethal entanglement hazards to marine life (and scuba divers) from reefs, seabeds, and shipwrecks in UK seas. Whales and dolphins are awe-inspiring, intelligent beings. The ocean produces more oxygen and absorbs more carbon than all of Earth's forests combined, and whales help it flourish. Yet 300,000 whales die in fishing gear every year.
