[p]I really wanted to release a large content update before the holidays, but unfortunately I was literally 2–3 days short. I decided that fixing bugs, especially the critical ones, was more important, so once again I had to postpone the new creatures... but not for long :).[/p][p]There are quite a few changes in this update. Some fixes revealed deeper underlying issues that needed to be cleaned up properly. That said, I do have a small surprise for you, but more on that in a moment.[/p][p]Below is the full list of fixes and improvements:[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes:[/p]
- [p]Plasma cutter charges and oxygen tanks did not work correctly, causing soft-locks[/p][/*]
- [p]Keys 0–9 did not work properly while crawling[/p][/*]
- [p]Monsters could not attack the player while on a zip-line[/p][/*]
- [p]Mouse behavior was erratic after alt-tabbing[/p][/*]
- [p]Switching weapons with the mouse wheel did not work properly[/p][/*]
- [p]Connection issues when alt-tabbing[/p][/*]
- [p]Incorrect connection establishment often caused issues such as invisible players[/p][/*]
- [p]Multiple crash-related bugs[/p][/*]
- [p]The crank was unreliable and behaved inconsistently[/p][/*]
- [p]The new inventory system had several synchronization issues - now (hopefully) fixed[/p][/*]
- [p]Lobby chat did not scroll properly[/p][/*]
Improvements:[/p]
- [p]Inventory UI now has smooth animations and is much more reliable over the network[/p][/*]
- [p]Character controls while crawling with a weapon now behave the same as when walking with a weapon (e.g. you can move backwards instead of turning around)[/p][/*]
- [p]Added SFX when hitting walls with a crowbar[/p][/*]
- [p]Added an indicator icon showing where to weld with the plasma cutter[/p][/*]
- [p]Sprint time is extended a bit[/p][/*]
