Es ist etwas neues und das Konzept der Würfelaugen = Kartenzug finde ich sehr gut und innovativ, auch wenn es manchmal für frust sorgt wenn man die ganze Zeit eine Karte angepinnt hat und einfach nicht die richtigen Augenzahlen wirft xD

the first two hours were a bit boring, gameplay wise but the atmossphere and the music sucked me in. the art direction is like a tim burton movie. this game shines in its dialogues. the actual gameplay is a mix of a walking simulator with easy quests and arena fights.

Amazing game, great fights and a surprisingly good mixture of card game meets 3d fighting. I rly enjoyed the story and most of the side quests as well. The story being so good makes you get involved with the world and that ends up in me wanting to know everything about it and doing all the side quests to get all the information i can get about this neat little world

Just a shame that once you reach the end the save is more or less useless as all you can do is redo the end sequence and watch the outro. Wish I could travel around Random and explore the last missing bits, now I gotta do a new save for that

Think Psychonauts, but more linear gameplay to follow an interactive storyline. It's amusing for an once play through, on some rainy days. Limited gameplay, but enough to be an immersive environment. Get it, if on sale and you enjoyed Psychonauts. Full price, probably not worth it. I don't believe there's any replay value.

Lost in Boredom™
This game had a strong potential, but the gameplay ruined it. Graphical aspect is ok, you can like or dislike but it has its own thing. Running though, is slow, chaotic, and the camera is sometime forcing you to a focus point when you don't care, so it's quite boring to run. Game is very linear, puzzles can't be more simple, fight are ok but always the same (you have 2/3 variations but it's always: run, dodge, shoot cristals, throw dice, and do it again).
The story could have been interesting, but the pace is so bad you're getting bored to death before you can be involved, so after 3/4 hours I just decided to skip all the cinematic. There is no fun despite the attempts of making jokes by the narrator. I also avoid all side quest, because, come on it's already so boring...

I've just finished this beautiful game and I suggest to buy if you haven't already.
The graphics is cool and pleasant to see, the story is masterpiece, the fights are well placed during the path, NPCs and sidequests are all very interesting.
Never got tired of hearing all characters talking, the dubbing is impressive, not the same level of Elden Ring or Dark Souls, but truly good.
The gameplay is not that long and the puzzles are not hard.
16 hours and you can complete it without problems.
Give it a try, it deserves the money it costs.

This is a really fun game. I love the card/dice atmosphere and it's not too difficult. My only complaint is you cannot go back to a level to finish up anything you missed, so you have to replay the whole game to get any achievement you may have missed.

Realy great adventure with Psychonauts vibes.
The graphics are stylish.
There is almost no platforming, the main gameplay is battles, which seems like something original and interesting. Alas, after you'll collect your main deck (in 4 or 5 town) there will be almost nothing new.
Story isn't bad, but nothing special.
Achievements are easy to get but there're few missable. So don't forget to check the guide if you want 100%, cuz there's no backtracking.
Recommended if you are looking for smth new or tired from openworlds and ouposts.

The general idea of the game is great, as are the first two or three hours.
Then it all falls apart. I found the story lackluster and predictable/boring, the voiceacting was kinda meh and the combat unbelievably repettative and unchallenging.

The aesthetics of the game and each realm had their own type of beauty (especially Two-Town and Fourdom, they have been my favorites!), reminding me a lot of Tim Burton's claymation films. However, the story becomes confusing at times and dialogue often overlapped one another. This issue only become more notable once you got into Sixtopia. I still had fun playing the game and it is easily one of my all-time favorites!

Really fun aesthetic, witty writing that keeps the story moving at a good pace, all-around gorgeous art design and fantastic music, and a combat system that integrates the story themes into the combat mechanics in a smart & fun way. Battles are for the most part fairly straightforward, though there is some challenge there in the later fights - the difficulty curve feels smart, with early battles being simple, short, and allowing for deck experimentation; and latter encounters are a bit longer & more demanding, but by that point you'll likely have figured out a setup that works well for you. Took me roughly 20 hours seeing just about everything, but you could probably get through a little quicker if you weren't scouring every last corner and still not miss too much.

Perfection. Absolutely wonderful voice acting, charming visuals, creative and unique combat. Endearing story with a dreary yet beautiful world for it to play out in. I can't recommend this game enough.

Voice acting is absolutely incredible, the art style is out of this world (literally) and the game play is both unique and innovative while also having a familiar enough feel to be easy to master quickly! I have now added this game to my top 5 games of all time. I don't think I'll ever forget my experience playing it. <3

Also Olov is dope.

I streamed this on Twitch and I loved the game! The characters and story were really good, and the voices were spectacular. The dice mechanic was a bit annoying but that's literally the luck of the draw, canon to the premise of the game. The artwork is immaculate. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for story-rich game.

What an amazing experience. Truly.
I must admit, I am a Zoink fan. And a big one. All their games have been absolute gems as far as I'm concerned.

And Lost in Random is no different.
I'll say Even more: this might be the best game they've made yet. Odd, isn't it?

What they've built here is not only a fantastic and incredibly polished gameplay loop with the cards and the dice, but also a world (or worlds) full of lore, characters, backstory, love, hate, anger, happiness, sadness, .. Enough to put some RPGs to shame.

I haven't been this enthralled by and addicted to a game in a long time. It Even brings me back to some of those childhood games that you just had to finish because at the moment they were your entire life.

It's just that good.

A Delightful Story About Love, Lost, And Dice.

Lost In Random is a third-person action adventure game. Players take control of Even who is on a quest to rescue her sister from the mighty queen and her black dice. With the help of the mysterious friend Dicey, Even must journey through the six realms to free the folks from the clutch of the queen, all the while meeting others who are willing to assist her. This game is a charming one. The overall artstyle, characters design, the flow of story, and multiple surprises elevate it into a good indie game despite some issues regarding the combat and enemies design choice. In short, it sacrifices the depth of combat for the wonderful world-building. This game clearly has a budget, yet it makes the best use of it to present a unique and lovely experience. I recommend this game who seeks a enjoyable story, and I do not recommend it to those who wants a good action game.

Things I Like About Lost In Random:

1. The Art, The VA, And The Story
Tim Burton`s artstyle at its finest, If I may so. The dark tone of color really shapes the feel of queen`s monopolistic clutch all over the world and a grim future for Even`s endeavor. However, the people you met in six realms often suggest otherwise. Their colorful personalities are the sunshine amidst the dark cloud. This fact only elevated by the amazing voice actors behind each NPC. I cannot stress enough how much I love every and each of them. Not only do they fit in the realm they dwell, but also they deliver quite some insights about the mysterious world and the evil the players are up against. The six realms feel like six individual children`s story books. At first they may seem loosely connect to the main plotline, yet they serve more as seasonings to the major show. To me this way significantly boost the charm of each realm, which can easily make your stay memorable.

2. Quests
As VAs breathe life into NPCs, so do the quests they provide. Side quests are region-locked, meaning if you progress through the main storyline of the region you may not have access to them anymore. I think this choice is great since it adds unique-ness to the area and emphasizes the theme of such place. As an example, in Two-Town, there is an NPC with twin faces who will both offer you a quest to assist them crafting a potion to forever get rid of the other face. This may be unrelated to main story, but it significantly represent the theme of Two-Town: everyone has two distinct traits, whether in their personality or other counterpart. I really like the design of this place.

3. Minor Compliments
→RANDOM RULES!!
→Narrator really likes breaking fourth wall.
→Royam takes damage when I out-rhymes him.

Thing I Like And Dislike About Lost In Random:

Combat
Like: The combat is interesting and fresh for the first few hours. Break the crystals on enemies, collect the energy, and roll the dice to determine how much energy you can use for the cards you draw randomly. Rolling dice also stops the time, allowing you to place your trap and position freely. This allows the players can turn the tide in a breeze.
Dislike: However, this also means the combat can drag on once the player reach late game. RNG is a major factor, meaning you can draw none-offensive cards for the first rolling. Moreover, late game enemies become more tanky, and some even possess lightning shield which prevents dodge through and melee attack.

Things I Dislike About Lost In Random:

1. Cards Lacking Variety
This is the main problem I have for the game. Whenever people see cards game, the immediate opinions that come to mind are multiple combination, crazy synergies, and effective cycling. Lost In Random, sadly, only has the basic level. There are three melee weapons and a bow, some stage hazards, energy reduction, and maneuver enhancements. None of this offer something interesting besides placing two hazard cards together to clear a bunch of enemies, for the most part because some of them are too slow to react to enemy movement. The game needs more weapons to play, more buff and debuff to enhance combat experience, more stage hazards that can interact with either players or the weapons they have. Plus, Mannie can sell more cards too. I get every card from him by the 2/3 of Fivetropolis and have nothing to buy with 1000 coins.

2. Enemies Weird Design And Lacking Variety
The design part is deicated to the only buff the soldier robot have: Lightning Shield. It prevents melee attacks and dodge through. This buff is a nice change of pace for a few battles, but later you will find it the most annoying thing in the game. Lightning Armor terminates melee focus deck and force the player to resort to either bow or stage hazards. Yes, it is a way to encourage diversity, if only the pool from which we can draw the diversity is larger. I suggest adding a way to temporarily shut down the shield, like a power source at the back of the enemies that can be disabled by the slingshot. The enemies roster also seems to be lacking, considering the length of the game. Either introduce new enemy types or add some special effect to existing enemies to spice up the experience, like a warden unit that shield others, an aura that allows some enemies to move even in the dice realm, or elemental damage boost with status effects when hit.

3. Minor Complaints
→Queen`s boss fight seems really lacking. She should use the dice as the players do during the battle.
→15 cards deck is too small. I want to put as much cards as I can.
→The fact that queen`s shadow can move in the dice realm but the queen can`t is pathetic.
→Fivetropolis and Sixtopia seem rushed in terms of level designs, quest size, and the overall flow.
→Really wish each dialogue option is voice-acted.

Beat the game in 12 hours.
What interested me is the art style of this game. The plot starts as a dark kid story and goes like one, Till the last chapter I still do not know how it will end, which keeps me interested.

Lost in Random can be divided into 2 parts: Explore and battle. You are Even, trying to save your elder sister Odd before the crul dark Queens destroy her. Along the way Even can be determined as long as confused and even defeated, it fits a young girl well, but overall it teaches her how to stay optimistic and strong.

As a game strongly related to dice, you will visit 6 cities like 6 sides of one dice. The voice actions are especially good, NPCs in each cites look alike, but they talk humorously and give you good and clear side missions, making the exploration fairly fun. The battle is kinda repeated and some can take a long time, not very satisfying, I choose easy mode and find it acceptable.

If you like ‘Alice: Madness Returns’, you may want to take a look at Lost in Random.

Hilarious, beautiful, interesting and fun. I highly recommend this game. My only qualm is that there's an issue with menus or certain buttons after awhile. All you have to do is go back to the main menu and then get back into the game and it fixes that little problem. Hopefully, they'll fix that.

The game is charming and fun, probably not worth it's retail price, when not on sale.

It does however force you to create an origin account and often logs you out so that you have to be online and on the newest version of origin to play the game at all. For this reason i absolutely recommend against buying this game.

Ever wanted to know what it's like to be part of a Tim Burton film, now here is your chance. Lost in Random is a fantastic game with a compelling story, fresh take on a deck building battle system, and beautifully crafted worlds as if you were playing a live-action version of The Nightmare Before Christmas. You have a wide range of cards to collect [34 in total] which vary in the type (hazard, defense and trap). There are hidden story book pages throughout the game that can be collected and many optional quests to complete. The only negatives would be the low variety of enemies and the annoying town music which is often repeated in different numbered worlds. The game can be completed within 15 hours and I would categorize this as a game for casual players. [8/10]

I really enjoyed this game, it was a lot longer than I expected and I liked the world and most of the story!

That being said the combat was repetitive and the rewards felt lack luster, the store just sold you the same copies of cards you get from playing the game (I literally would buy a card and then get that same card a few minutes later).

I also found the story kinda wrapped up too fast and left me with some un-answered questions.

I would still recommend you give it a shot for yourself!

A lovely little linear adventure story game with a Tim Burton-esque art style that I thoroughly enjoy. the combat mechanics are a fresh take on a card combat system but faster paced and lets you easily move between more of a focus on action and damage style play or strategy style play.

This was the first game that made me love the deck building part of it. The combat felt really unique and the story kept itself interesting until the very end. Graphics were really Tim Burton meets Little Nightmares typeish and i really enjoyed it. The voice acting was great, even tho it felt like there was too little different voice actors. Highly recommend this game to everyone.

The story and narrative are a bit childish but combined with the creepy environments, soundtracks and characters you get a really good creepy horror game, also the gameplay is brilliant although a bit repetitive towards the end
Final thoughts => definitely worth buying, we really need more games like this

I freaking love the narrator though XD

Great game. Fight mechanics were a little ODD to start with but as you learn it, it gets EVEN better. Story was good and felt really Tim Burton-esque. Overall very enjoyable game. Well worth the money.

Just finished the game. I'm surprised that i LOVEEEE this game! The stories, the graphics, the battles choreography and the missions. There should be more game like this!! Worth the money and the time!
The way this game been narrated and the voices all make this game more alive rather than just a fantasy.

Very fun to play, graphics are great. The combat system in this game is really creative and exciting. The humour and visual gags are entertaining too. The storytelling was so intense and interesting that I was immersed in the game immediately, and played over half of the whole game in one sitting. Definitely reccomend!
