die einzige Neuerung in diesem Addon ist der Schneefall. Hätte gut sein können, ist es aber nicht. Von Jan bis Feb schneits halt. In der Video Ansicht des Zuges sieht man nicht immer viel davon aber alle Züge bleiben für diesen Zeitraum nahezu stehen. So umgesetzt leider uninteressant. Man hätte hier etwas abgestufte Auswirkungen auf den Zugverkehr erwarten dürfen.

I love the DLC's of Railway Empire. Northern-DLC is money worth. Very nice environment, especially the mix of the snowy-nordic-mix-theme with south-scandinavian-temerate-climate. Very challenging scenario, you will have many hours of fun with it! Try and error ;)

Moin,

ich möchte euch kurz eine Zusammenfassung geben was euch erwartet und wer enttäuscht sein wird.
Für mich als Fortgeschrittenen Spieler war dies eines der schwereren DLCs was ich nicht unbedingt als schlecht bezeichnen würde.Für Neuanfänger wird es vlt eine Enttäuschung werden, da ihr sehr oft scheitern werdet da die Missions Zeit sehr begrenzt ist und Oftmals euer Streckennetz nicht für anstehende Ziele konzipiert wurde.
Wenn ihr also im Szenario in ruhe vor euch hinbauen wollt, so wird es euch kaum Spass bieten, da ist dann der andere Modus für euch das Richtige.
Ich würde das DLC jedoch empfehlen, da es eine sehr gute Erweiterung ist, die auch die Geschichte der Eisenbahn sehr gut wiederspiegelt. Und als kleiner Tipp, es sind keine Apfelringe, sondern Knäckebrot.
Also habt Spass damit und ich verspreche euch, das ihr ne ganze Menge zu tun haben werdet in einer recht großen Map.

Ich gebe dem DLC Szenario 8/10 Punkten.
Spielzeit im Szenario etwa 4-6 Std wenn man es sofort schaffen sollte, da ist das Geld gut angelegt.

Sadly little unique effort went into this one - with several assets recycled from the previous Europe-themed DLCs. Still, the scenario is fun enough to justiy its (comparatively low) price.

Scenario is impossible, asks me to transport 200 passengers between 2 distant cities within a year, meanwhile only one passenger a week wants to leave...

Really liked this scenario. The map was huge and with a lot of detail and a good amount of challenge.The winter mechanic was certainly interesting, it forced you to plan ahead and use more trains when the weather was nice to stockpile some resources and the map changing colors was cool. Have to admit though that trains going 3 kph the first year wasn't funny, specially because yo start in winter.
I wished the challenge was better distributed; the first few years are hard but after a point you have so much money you can even buy all your competitors at once. But overall it was a lot of fun!

This is a rushed DLC, the scenario is very hard, not on purpose but from neglect. After failing several times I check youtube and learn the exploites needed to progress. Seems like they did not test this one at all. Turn of the snow mechanic, it slow any train down to 1mph and is pure crap.

My problem is that I can not open the two Dlc that I purchased, I can not see the DLC, I do not see the maps. I have put in a ticket for help in getting this issue resolved, but so far no response.

At this time I can not review it properly, maybe some day?

Just got this DLC and find its better than the rest of the game, first it allows you to build your first production buildings in most cities,there is one fault I have found in the Apple plantation, they have no use at the moment.

I take it that there is a limit on how many products of the same can be had in a city.Like making cheese in one city and cannot in the rest.

Overall this is a good game, and would like to see this idea for Northern Europe, made available to all the other nations maps, in being able to choose your first production in the area.

I really like Railroad Empire and I've played all of the Railroad Empire DLCs, but I found this one the least interesting. The map is just monotonous and a big bore; just endless forests and rocks on a mostly flat landscape...trees and rocks...all the same color. It just doesn't look like Scandinavia. Where are the deep fjords? I guess they are in the upper left corner of the map, which is at least somewhat interesting. And the snow causes your trains to run ridiculously slow. It left me wondering why they went to Northern Europe when they already did Germany and France and the British Isles. Give us some really challenging and scenic landscapes. Maybe in the Orient?

Very interesting DLC, scenario is pretty hard but managed to overcome it on normal AI difficulty, normal track settings and manual pause (i am a newbie).

Map has a very interesting setting, I really like the weather changes during winter.
