Recipe for Disaster ist ein Management-Spiel, in dem du ein Restaurant gründen und zum Erfolg führen musst. Egal, ob du in vorgegebenen Szenarien die Geschicke von gescheiterten Betrieben lenkst oder im freien Spiel deine eigene Vision zum Leben erweckst: Du musst Restaurants sorgfältig planen, das richtige Personal einstellen und managen, Speisekarten anpassen und mit Zutaten experimentieren, um leckere neue Gerichte zu kreieren, die deine Kunden beeindrucken. Klingt idyllisch, oder? Falsch!

Sich einen Weg durch die hektische und stressige Welt der Gastronomie zu bahnen, ist alles andere als einfach. Schließlich geht es in dieser Branche um Menschen, und alle bei Laune zu halten, zu motivieren und zufrieden zu stellen, grenzt schon an ein Wunder! Schwerwiegende persönliche Schwächen und große Kompetenzlücken innerhalb deines Teams könnten den Servicefluss stark stören, während die unberechenbare Einstellung und der eigenartige Geschmack deiner Kunden das Hindernis sein könnten, das dich von den wichtigen positiven Bewertungen trennt.

Mit Beharrlichkeit, klugem Management und einer Menge Kompromisse wird dein Restaurant wachsen und neue Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen eröffnen, während du immer mehr Kunden, Gesundheitsinspektoren und Kritiker durch deine Türen lockst. Erweitere deine Räumlichkeiten, bilde dein Personal weiter und bewege dich auf dem schmalen Grat zwischen gastronomischem Ruhm und Restaurantruin.

Wähle aus einem Pool von Kandidaten, die nach einem bestimmten Verfahren erstellt werden. Überlege dir, welche Eigenschaften und Fähigkeiten jeder Einzelne mitbringt und wie sich diese auf die Arbeitseffizienz, das Verhalten und den Umgang mit den Kunden auswirken könnten. Werden sie sich bewähren? Oder werden sie mehr Ärger machen, als sie wert sind? Kümmere dich um die Stimmung und das Durchhaltevermögen deines Teams, um das Risiko von Pannen und Kündigungen während der Arbeit zu minimieren. Einige Mitarbeiter werden die Aufgaben, die du ihnen gibst, lieben, während andere sie hassen werden!

Passe das Dekor und das Arrangement deines Restaurants mit intuitiven Tools an. Rüste deine Küche mit hochmodernen Geräten aus, dekoriere deinen Essbereich, gestalte deine Umgebung und baue Lagerräume für deine wertvollen Zutaten.

Weise deinem Team manuell Aufgaben zu oder sorge dafür, dass alle beschäftigt sind, indem du ein hochgradig individualisierbares Prioritätssystem verwendest. Behalte eingehende Kundenbestellungen genau im Auge und passe deine Strategie in Echtzeit an, um den höchsten Standard an Speisen und Kundenservice zu gewährleisten.

Achte genau auf die Wünsche deiner Kunden und passe deine Speisekarte an ihren Geschmack an. Achte auf diätetische Anforderungen, Lebensmittelallergien und ungewöhnliche Vorlieben. Entscheide, wie du am besten mit den Wünschen und Beschwerden deiner Mitarbeiter und Kunden umgehst. Wirst du wohlgesonnen oder angriffslustig sein? Weicheier und Tyrannen werden schnell aus dem Geschäft sein, also musst du jede Situation genau einschätzen können.

Mit dem leistungsstarken Rezepte-Editor kannst du nach Belieben originelle Rezepte erstellen und zu deinen Speisekarten hinzufügen. Stelle sicher, dass du über die nötigen Zutaten verfügst, indem du deine Vorräte im Auge behältst und regelmäßig Bestellungen bei deinen Lieferanten aufgibst.

Einfach nur dumm das Spiel, die Anzeigen im Spiel kann man nicht mal einklappen alles ist einem im weg beim Bauen usw. Jeden quatsch muss man anklicken um Personal dort hinzubewegen damit sie an diesem und jenem Gerät arbeiten oder die Bedienung aufnehmen, ist mir zuviel des guten, dieses Spiel erinnert an einem 0815 Klicker Spiel, im Gegensatz zu Restaurant Empire ist das Spiel langweilig. Empfehle ich nicht!

This game is brilliant, breathtaking and incredibly beautiful. Currently the best restaurant sim there is, in my opinion. Of course, there are still many improvements missing, but it is already worth every penny.

I think you could especially screw on the statistics and micromanagement, choose your own opening hours, much more statistics on sales of dishes, visitors on the day and also on finances. Furthermore, I find the UI so the user interface could still be a little more modern, cleaner.

But a clear buy recommendation!

Ahoi,

hier hat ein kleines Team, ein nettes und meiner Meinung nach, seit langem endlich mal wieder brauchbares Restaurant Games mit einigen lustigen Tücken gebaut. :) Es ist aktuell noch nicht mega umfangreich, jedoch scheinen eine Menge Sachen geplant zu sein.

Kurz Vorweg, ich habe das Spiel bereits in der Beta Woche anspielen können und der Puplisher hat mir freundlicherweise den Key zur Verfügung gestellt, vielen Dank hierfür.

Spannend wird, wie sich der geplante MP spielen wird, mal schauen :)

Wünsche:
Für Streamer wäre es schön, wenn Gäste oder Angestellte aus der Community kommen könnten, sprich eine Twitch Anbindung wäre nice. :)

Tolles EA-Spiel! Bisher das beste Restaurant-Management-Spiel das ich aktuell kenne. :-)

Ähnliche Spiele konnten mich mit deren Rezept-Editor oder aufgrund ihrer schlechten Bedienbarkeit nicht überzeugen, hier ist das Erstellen von Rezepten intuitiv und einfach. Der Wertschöpfungs-Prozess ist nachvollziehbar und logisch, das Restaurant ist individuell einrichtbar. Die Kundenbedürfnisse sind klar und die Arbeitsschritte des Personals nachvollziehbar.

Das Spiel läuft flüssig, das Tutorial ist gut strukturiert und die Grafik ist auch ok.

Ich freue mich auf die nächsten Updates und gebe jetzt schon einen Daumen hoch!

Moin moin..
Ich muss ja sagen, ein sehr witziges Game xD Obwohl EA, läuft alles ohne Probleme(!) Ein paar kleine Übersetzungsfehler sind vorhanden- doch im grossen und ganzen ein schönes Spielchen :)
Freue mich auf alle die geplanten Inhalte, die noch kommen werden...
In der jetzigen Version, von mir ein Daumen nach oben und eine klare Kaufempfehlung (!)

The game could be fun but I really don't like the unrealistic recipes the game uses. Most of the dishes have a combo of different proteins that just don't go together like clams, salmon and maybe squid all boiled together (YUCK) when the recipe's name suggests just clams. I tried using just one, the clams, with garlic, onion and lemon. It wouldn't let that be on the menu because the ingredients didn't cost enough. It would be much more fun if you could actually make a recipe that made sense. Also I got some very weird complaints about what I didn't have such as boiled butter??? I will still recommend it because it is early access and could have potential. I just suggest the devs check out a real cookbook or two and adjust those recipes accordingly.

I would not recommend it yet, specially as it is getting out of early access soon, I will play again when release and give it a final recommendation!

the most annoying parts :

some negative thoughts cannot be solved as the customers are not even yet in the restaurants:
-i need toilet
- i hate waiting in line
- is someebody going to take my order (as the waiters awlays wait in the bathroom for no reason at the begining of the day)
- i can't wait i mm so hungry

fire are ridiculous, why 2 fire on different appliance at the same time, and why does it take 10 min for them to
take the extinguisher that is in front of them
also i have 3 extinguiser, 3 things on fire, why only one person is extinguishing, and why do 2 cooks are still cooking!

rats event is just not fun and ridiculous

some ideas to improve :
the queue order priority is missing icons to say what appliance is needed

The recipe making didn't make complete sense to me, you can't seem to make sauces (for a dish like spaghetti which uses the dry spaghetti ingredient), customers hated it when the tomato sauce ingredients were done under prepare. The pastas didn't count as pasta so they didn't get the pasta tag, and customers complained and gave bad reviews for not having any pasta dishes. Overall, it just wasn't fun for me so I can't recommend the game.

THEY'VE GOT THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS!

This is a perfect example of what an EA game should be. It's a FULL game with a great tutorial, solid mechanics, few bugs, and has plenty to offer in its modes. It just needs more stuff added to an already wonderful framework and some stuff polished. If you're like me you've been shafted by devs before on EA games, i can say with this game I have full confidence in the devs, they are active and always communicating.

If I scored it I would give it a 6 out of 10 in its current state. (I WILL update this review when the full release comes)

Let's talk about the stuff I don't like first (KEEP in mind a lot of this could be in the final version)

*The TUTORIAL while there is still difficult to follow especially when it comes to creating recipes. Learning curve is a about 40 minutes based on the player.

*UI- parts of the UI are clunky especially when seeing what orders are coming to the table for your customer. They have to cover a chunk of the screen.

*REPORTS/Management- This is a tycoon so hopefully in the full release this part gets more depth. The reports are very shallow when it comes to the money compared to other tycoons.

*LIMITED DECOR options- With the lack of a color wheel in EA you get very few options for the decor, furniture for your restaurant.

*NO Story mode- The game has 8 short jobs where you have to achieve the objective but no actual progression of why your doing these jobs. I could understand if that's the story behind the game your helping these failing restaurants.

LET DOWNS- SO far in EA you can't name your restaurants, your menus, can't have multiple locations, multiple menus, can't schedule staff or restaurant hours. This takes away alot of customization.

Let's talk about the GOOD STUFF

*GRAPHICS/ performance- this game is cute and charming, the staff all have animations for whatever job they do. I'll also mention it runs smooth as butter, seems greatly optimized.

*Devs have confirmed MODDING- I think this will be huge w furniture, textures for walls, floors, and even some scripts if people can actually mod scripts for it.

*SANDBOX- Build whatever you want with no restrictions.

- COOK BOOK You can create recipes and add them to your cookbook, it looks like we'll be able to share these with the community.

-DEVS listen to feedback- I suggested a create a scenario mode, this way we never run out of scenarios to play. The user can customize it how they like and it generates a scenario. This was added to the game as coming soon. I'm excited to see what they do with it.

GET THIS GAME! It's going to be a classic for years to come, it might even be the standard which all other tycoons are measured.

don't usually write reviews but was really impressed at the 21:9 support for the UI. Not many new games do this, especially indie ones. Overall, great restaurant sim tycoon. Hope to see more content updates though! (maybe like money loans?)

Edit: I think my only issue with it is the AI chefs keep getting stuck or something in the kitchen while preparing food. They're holding the serving tray thing while at it. I'm not sure if they're queuing to use the appliances or they're just bugged.

Excellent game, very deep and full of feautres. Making your own recipes is very fun. Give it a try. 9/10. It will make you occupied for hours. And it's without big bugs.

Very fun game. It's simple and addictive.

Good for a couple dozen hours of fun, engaged, play time. The recipe editor is unique and allows for a creative experience. Not much replay value, but it was definitely worth picking up on sale and playing obsessively for a week or so.

I love this premise. Im addicted to cooking games and have been searching for a game just like this! Creating your own recipes is an amazing idea. It will be great to watch this grow into a complete game.

All I can feel from this game is TORTURE.
1. Not just you (owner of the restaurant), but also every staff you hired would become arsonist. What kind of owner would rise fire in his/her own kitchen?????
2. Around 2 to 3 days, waiter/waitress would not work and stand around restaurant for nothing. The AI of staffs need a big update. Right now, they are just artificial idiot.
3. The assessment of restaurant always undergoes a huge drop every 5 days for any random reason. (eg. waiting for too much time etc... however the delay was totally caused by idle staffs)
4. This game cannot recognize any original recipes. You always need to copy the recipes from customers required. So, what's the point of the original recipes????
5. The restaurant cannot stay in debt at the end of everyday...... WTF??? With this mechanism, you can only do the building change at the morning of the day, or the game would be directly over.

Very fun game to play can create your own meal from simple to complex for the cooks to make just for starters!
The customers and employee's can easily make or brake your place unexpectedly and surprise you just as easily!
The campaine is fun to play and gets progressivlly harder to play and there is also a free form build your own mode as well.
Developers plan more in the future to come and asking for sugestions so that is a good thing. I personally can not wait till we get even more ingrediants to work with!

All I can say is have fun I am!

Crazy potential to be a star among sim games. A few gripes but I understand its early access. Please add these features:

- More decor items (duh)
- More food/plate models for serving
- Ability to duplicate colors of walls or eye drop wall/floor design
- More than one item on a table, like flowers AND napkins
- Signage or name of restaurant
- Host stand -- (maybe i didnt get too far yet)
- Specialty drinks with food
- Counter service option, option to create fast casual dining experience
- Keyboard bindings Custom please
- Preview paint/floor textures on the floor while hovering over potential paint tile
- More traits
- Rugs
- More customer outfit variety
- and more that ill probably comment later.
- Maybe host seat waiting area??

What I like about this game,
1) It allows you to edit a lot of details in the restaurant. I haven't seen other restaurant sim that offers the option to make your own recipes. Certainly I hope there are logics connecting the recipes to the customers' taste and performance of the restaurant.
2) UI in game is pretty intuitive. I found the options where I felt they should be. Day end report and customer comments are easy to understand.
3) The name 'Recipe for Disaster' suggests that things can go really ridiculous and challenging. Not very patiently waiting for developers to surprise us further.
4) Cute graphics and animations. This includes how staff panic and react when there's a fire.

My 'complaints' at the moment,
1) Please give us more content =)
2) Some re-balancing will be nice. I feel currently it's quite straight forward to hit the scenario objectives. Maybe things will get challenging in the following scenarios.

A fun and promising experience but sadly it's still a touch shallow and so it's lifespan is shorter than I'd hoped.

The fundamentals of running an efficient restaurant are fairly simple and so this lack of depth is masked by the game throwing things like fires and breakdowns at you fairly regularly, which can close your kitchen most of the day and drive you into debt as your useless staff panic instead of assisting with fighting the fire and breaks do little to stop their descent into despair.

Eventually if you survive this, your staff will become more resilient and even fire-proof - at this stage most of the immediate danger to your business evaporates and you're left at the mercy of fickle customers and a recipe system that seems to favour nonsense combinations - such as two kinds of meat with shrimps.

Actual recipes seem to perform worse in my experience and hamper you with extra ingredients to store, extra costs and prep time but offer little in the way of popularity and reward.

I do recommend this game, looks and plays well although some keyboard shortcuts don't make a lot of sense - but I would say your enjoyment may be limited until such time as the developers add more ingredients and better reward well crafted recipes and complimentary flavours.

I usually don't write review but this time I think that the developers really deserve it:

The game is really fun and, for me, one of the best management games I have ever played. It has a good building system, even if I may like to have some progression by unlocking items through every scenario of the campaign and, I hope, through the freeplay mode that is coming.
The short starting campaign is realy well made and I hope there will be many others scenarios to play with different challenges.

The dish editor is pretty good but, for me, can be improved (synergies between ingredients and cook type for example that may be variated between scenario settings) and also the menu sistem can be more complex by adding more courses type (for now only main coures are possible).

I can only recommend to buy this game because I see not only a great potential, but also a really well made and fun to play base of gameplay.

The price is fair also for this stage of the game and every buks is well deserved. Well done for now Dapper Penguin Studios, I will wait for every patch.

????A really tough and challenging Restaurant Management game that’s looks and plays great.
????Some Super High levels of realism mixed with Objective realism.
????Purchase land and Build Your Own restaurant.
????Create your own culinary masterpieces, in a clever procedural dish creator.
????Plan your own Menu and set your prices.
????Hire and Fire your staff and promote them to have better skills (which will help you more).

POSITIVES

✔️The concept is really well delivered, you have so much control over so many aspects.
✔️Great UI, intuitive, vibrant and easy to work with (on the most part).
✔️Staff members have skills and personality traits which impact so much on the business.
✔️I really like the Restaurant building controls.
✔️The recipe building system is tricky, but also a pretty cool aspect for the game.
✔️The animations and attention to detail is excellent (tickets go up for each order).
✔️Staff personalities and intricacies are demanding, makes for a big challenge.
✔️I love if 1 person is sick, they make others sick and Oh Man! Tough day coming!

NEGATIVES

❌Fires happen too often with seemingly no way to eliminate them (Cleaning & perks help)
❌ATM there are not enough `things` Wall, floor, decorations, kitchen equip etc… (EA)
❌Game lacks clarity sometimes, why is a member of staff immediately getting Stressed?
❌UI is good, but more info needed at times (hover over staff to see assigned jobs)
❌Some unrealistic features like the fires.

STAR FEATURES

⭐This is a really challenging game, think you can just blast your way through level 2? Think again!

MY RECOMMENDATIONS & IDEAS

????A maintenance guy to reduce the number of fires that occur.
????More kitchen equipment (mixers, spit roast, food processors, etc..)

????Ability to rotate the camera freely 360 degree rotation, not a fan of the 4 angle rotation.
????Modding..Simple, we can create new dishes for display etc..
