Level Loop XP Curve
[p]Ever since the introduction of the Level Loop mechanic (player levels past 100), we’ve received a lot of feedback about the weirdness when entering a new loop. Since new levels would have paltry XP requirements, you’d fly past those early levels and get endlessly spammed with level up screens. It got old pretty fast![/p][p]Starting with this update, we’ve added an XP floor to each level starting at Loop 1 to stagger those level ups a bit. Early levels will at least require a couple sales each while you work your way into the expected XP curve of mid and late levels. In theory, this increases the total XP requirements of level loops, but in practice, the difference totals to only about 0.06% more XP to reach Loop 2.[/p]Example
[p]Level 101 to 102[/p]- [p]Previous Total: 375[/p][/*]
- [p]Current Total: 5,233,750[/p][/*]
- [p]Previous Total: 5,870,717,000[/p][/*]
- [p]Current Total: 6,237,053,250[/p][/*]
- [p]Previous Total: 848,824,456,125[/p][/*]
- [p]Current Total: 849,347,793,625[/p][/*]
New Merchant Level Loop
[p]While we’re at it, we added a new Level Loop! If you’re wondering if this is because someone is close to the current max level, you would be correct. You know who you are.[/p]Balance Changes
Reduced Crafting Times
[p]In a wide rebalancing pass, we have reduced the crafting times of almost all items Tier 9 and above. This reduction ranges from 10% to a sweeping 40% reduction for Tier 15 blueprints.[/p][p]This is a pretty significant change some time ahead of the release of Tier 16, and as such we will be monitoring the effect it has, as well as your feedback, and adjust in the coming updates.[/p]Other Changes
- [p]Reduced the Gold and Gem cost for all Basement slots.[/p][/*]
- [p]Increased the base amount of components earned from the Sunken Temple and subsequent quests by about 30%.[/p][/*]
- [p]Increased the amount of Timewarped Components earned from the Ancient Jungle quest area.[/p][/*]
- [p]Added Research Scrolls to the reward track for Epsilon and Terror difficulties in the Tower of Titans event. Any rewards they replaced have been merged into existing rewards.[/p][/*]
