This hotfix addresses a number of issues introduced with the recent Armorsmithing update, along with some adjustments to progression and experience gains. The goal is to smooth out the leveling experience, fix unintended bugs, and make the new systems feel more rewarding and consistent overall.
I also want to make sure the new level system is heading in the right direction - so if you have a moment, I’d really appreciate your feedback. You can share your thoughts via this survey.
Your input will directly help shape the next update and fine-tune the system moving forward.
Thanks again for your patience and support - and sorry for the issues that slipped through!
Bug Fixes
Slotting armor runes into crafted armor no longer causes the armor to grant 0 Armorsmithing EXP.
Adding runes to armor now greatly increases Armorsmithing EXP:
1 rune = 30% bonus
2 runes = 70% bonus
3 runes = 120% bonus
4 runes = 180% bonus
5 runes = 250% bonus
This is intended to be the optimal way to level Armorsmithing.
Crafting enchanted armor will now also grant Rune Attunement EXP.
○ 50% of the Armorsmithing EXP gained is also granted to Rune Attunement.
Mushroom Helm (Number 29 custom heavy head armor) no longer causes major clipping issues.
Fixed an issue where some Pyromancy spells were not tracking Pyro kills correctly:
○ Cinder Bullet
○ Bouncing Fireball
○ Emberspark
The cauldron in the Necromancer Classroom at the Mage’s College no longer clips the player into the wall when interacted with.
Chiseling now correctly gives all artifact types instead of only armor runes. (I accidentally left some of my test code in there — sorry!) Armor runes should appear about 20% of the time for chiseling
Increased drop rate for armor runes from ALL ore types
Deer now drop Deer Pelts again. (This is temporary until I replace all recipes and quests that require them. Once those are updated, Deer Pelts will be retired and replaced with basic leather items)
Custom armor now tracks armor levels correctly:
○ Armor 1–5 = Light Armor
○ Armor 6–9 = Medium Armor
○ Armor 10+ = Heavy Armor
Base stats are now clamped to their new minimum values to prevent older saves (from before the level revamp) from falling below the new baseline:
○ Health minimum: 150
○ Stamina minimum: 200
○ Mana minimum: 100
Foot armor enchantments now work properly.
Fixed Rune Attunement skill EXP tracking
Fixed various spelling errors/typos in the level up window
Fixed issue with some skill VFX being untextured (like Heavy Sweep’s dirt FX)
