Grafik: wie vom Jahr 2000.
Erkennungsmerkmale von Nizza: Da ist nix. Einfach nix. Ein Meer, eine lange Straße und autogen-Blöcke. Kein einziges Erkennungsmerkmal von Nizza! Nicht einmal das Negresco Hotel.
Streckenbau: (hahaha): wie damals im Kindergarten. Kinder bauen eine Strecke.
Streckenführung: Einigermaßen ist sie richtig.
UI: wie aus 2000.
Controller-Einstellungen: Ingame nix möglich.

Auch wenn insgesamt die negativen Punkte überwiegen, fängt das Spiel Tour de France 2020 den Radsport sehr gut ein und bietet einem die Möglichkeit, die Tour mit all ihren Etappen halbwegs glaubwürdig nachzuerleben. Technisch gesehen hat das Spiel leider gefühlt ein paar Jahre auf dem Buckel, was aber durch den Spielspaß wieder ausgeglichen wird.

Positiv:
- Alle Etappen und Teams der aktuellen Tour sind dabei
- Vorspulfunktion für ruhigere Phasen in den Etappen

Negativ:
- Grafik relativ altbackend
- Sound bietet nur wenig Variation
- Es scheint immer die Sonne
- Kein dynamisches Wetter
- Kein Multiplayer Modus
- Gummiband KI

Das Spiel hat mich am Anfang schon begeistert, aber nach 2 Rundfahrten auf Profi, bin ich ernüchtert.
Die Taktik ist das einzige Highlight, man muss gut aufpassen, wann man eine Attacke beginnt oder wann man einfach im Feld mitfährt um Kräfte zu schonen.
Aber:
Grafik ist eintönig, alle Fahrer haben das gleiche Gesicht, die Landschaft ist nicht schön umgesetzt.
Die Zusachauer nereven mit ihren insgesamt ca. 8 verschiedenen Sätzen.
Kein deutscher Kommentar, Ausreißer werden zu 90% eingeholt.
Man selber muss, wenn man jemanden folgen will (Windschattenfahren) mitunter über 10 Minuten eine Taste gedrückt halten, wieso ?
Irgendwann fährt man gegen die Planke und wird von 50 Fahrern überholt.
Man hat z.B. auch mal 50 Sekunden Vorsprung und innerhalb 10 Sekunden wird man ein- bzw überholt ?
Das Gameplay passt für mich einfach nicht, Dynamik-Realität-Action-Grafik können hier weder harmonieren noch gefallen.

Ich finds toll...hab bereits 2017,2018,2019 auf xbox one gespielt. Ja graphisch ist es auf jeden Fall besser wie auf der Konsole, läuft auch ohne Ruckler sehr flüssig. Erstes Mal das alle Teams lizensiert sind. Ansonsten ja auf jeden Fall was für Radsport Fans... . Das taktische rumgemehre welchen Fahrer man wann wo spielt ist schon geil. Hab selbst auch schon 2 Kumpels zum zockn bekommen die vorher nie Tour de France geschaut haben. Wenn man versteht wie der Sport funktioniert und das jeder im Team eine andere Aufgabe hat, macht das echt verdammt viel Spaß. Als besonderes Highlight im Spiel sehe ich aber das man sich eine Grand Tour selber zusammenstellen kann incl. Trikotauswahl. Mal 21 Sprintetappen am Stück oder so kann schon spannend werden^^.

Overall good job of Cyandie. Graphics are definitly good to watch. Overall the feeling is good.
After 15 years there is finally a pro cycling game on the pc that is not a manager.
I personally dont like the corner driving, there is a bit less lean,
Overall i cant say anything really bad so far about the game.
There could be more options/settings in terms of controlls

Relaxing game for the most part. Last lap of any course is brutal with balancing cyclist fatigue and dozens upon dozen of bottoms in your face. Overall, quite good and better than expected for the discounted price via external website. Protip: Look at external sites that offer redeemable games codes for less.

To bad that we have to say; shame on the devs that they make this only with a (complete clunky) joystick-controller version ... and did not make it also with the keyboard version that they have for the other (very good) cycling editions.
They managed to kill there own pearl :(
And don't give anything on the keyboard players that are supporting there other games for years :(

At it's best, Tour de France 2020 is actually a good game. But as much as I'd like to sing it's praises, in it's more or less 'finished' state this year I cannot. This series still feels more like a tech demo than a finished game.

The main game modes (Pro Team/Leader) set you up for failure, because at first you have access to so few events that you can't achieve the ranking you need, unless you achieve unrealistically good results for your relative team strength. Even then, you're still at the mercy of the simulation in races you can't compete in. And in pro leader specifically, getting your rider into breakaways is a nightmare, especially when the peloton adamantly refuses to let a larger group dangle.

If you get through the early game hell, what you're left with is still a game with less depth than Cyanide's other cycling game, PCM. TDF does have an advantage in gameplay, as well as how it handles race day condition (seriously, what were they thinking with PCM 20?), but PCM is simply better when it comes to everything that happens between races.

Even then, TDF wouldn't be getting a negative score from me if not for the fact that the developers recently gave the console versions of the game a major update... and failed to provide that update to PC players. I don't understand why we were denied this update. We're paying customers just like the console players, and maybe multiplayer was too hard to implement on PC this year, but surely they could've at least given us the rest of the update?

Unfortunately, that lack of support sapped my interest in trying to overcome the pro team/leader early game and have fun with it. If you still want this game, try to get the console version.

This is probably the worst, most boring cycling game ever created. I can't even make it past the terrible tutorial levels because there's walls of text and annoying recorded audio which do nothing to describe how to accomplish the actual training objectives. I can't even find a proper guide or video showing how to complete the time trial tutorial they are so bad and confusing. RESPECT THE SUGGESTED EFFORT LEVEL, IT MAY DECREASE OR INCREASE IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THERE'S 4 DIFFERENT GAUGES ON THE SCREEN WHICH AREN'T EXPLAINED OR LABELED AND SPAMMING EVERY BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER CHANGES NOTHING SO WE'LL JUST KEEP REPEATING THE AUDIO HOPING YOU FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT ON YOUR OWN, GOOD LUCK! If you have to use Google and still can't figure out how the hell to progress past a training level in a cycling game, game bad. I'd rather play a driving game where you control a car with no wheels with a MMO gaming mouse that has all 17 buttons assigned to random conflicting directions.

The game freezes at language selection and after about 30 seconds it crashes.

Its been 3 weeks since I wait for a solution to this.
On 8 september I was fool enough not to hit refund button while I was within the steam politics period (less than 2 weeks since you bought the game or less than 24hours of gameplay) because I liked the game and I thought it'll be fixed fast.. not the case and now I cannot get a refund

For sure I'd not buy again any of the games produced by them just because of terrible support given .. blaming antivirus problem when the game has same problem even with the antivirus disabled

There should be a 'meh'-button:

The game is fun and addicting, but frustrating in its flaws (unless I'm doing everything wrong ofcourse)...

- No graphics setting (except for resolution)
- No real gameplay adjusting (only amateur and pro, the difference isn't that big)
- ONLY 3 PERSONS in game: 1 cyclist, 1 female supporter and 1 male supporter. Some cosmetics try to hide that, but it's really silly to see 1 guy multiplide by 300 at the start...
- The smart using of energy and energy loss is a great idea, but doesn't seem to really aply to pc-cyclists (even persons that are 30 minutes behind at 30km from the finish still appear at the front of the race for the sprint and have more energy than you for a long sprint)
- The pc cyclists all play against you (when you follow them, they will always slow down to let the peleton get back, even your own teammates with instructions). The only time it does work, is when you fastforward...
- Buttons do not always respond: attacking might make you completely stop, follow sometimes means ignore I'm asking anyting, ...
- When you're to well placed on a crucial stage, in a mather of seconds you will be completely inclosed by 30 cyclists preventing you to move...
- Taking corners going downhill is a pain in the ***. The brakes give you all or nothing, slowing down doesn't help you turning... All of this makes you park you're bike straigth ahead on the grass (while the pc cyclists take the corner at full speed)
- There's no button to be used to slow down the tempo when you are driving first (expect if you park AGAIN)
- If your energy is low, it will almost never come back (unless you fastforward and everybody passes)

A great game very fun and tactical. I think the downside is that every cyclist looks the same which is irratating to me. AMAZING GRAPHICS

After playing this title since the very first game, I was extremely pleased to see it finally come to PC. Although not everyone's cup of tea, I'll provide some pointers to anyone less familiar than I;

Graphics - 5/10 (Passable, not great, but fine for a lower-budget cycling sim, little to no change year on year)

Gameplay - 8.5/10 (A few issues regarding difficulty I'll touch on after, but overall they have made significant improvements through the years to the point where it's very natural and very fun, with tutorials for those less experienced)

Modes and in-game - 9/10 (There is genuinely so much to do, whether you want to create your own rider and get from a cycling noob to a Tourmalet king, or create a team from scratch, or use a real-life team, there are so many things to keep you wanting to play!)

My main issue regarding this game in particular is the difficulty is either way too easy or way too hard at times. I struggle to get away from the peloton at the start of a stage to form a breakaway, as despite being over 20 minutes down on the General Classification, I am somehow a threat to them and they chase me down brutally. All this for them to run out of steam on the final climb and end up 3 minutes behind me. This hasn't been as noticeable in previous iterations on PS4 so I cannot say for 100% sure if this is a real issue or not, but for my hours of play it has persisted. (Will update review after I play more if this changes)

I also believe that this game could do with some integration with Pro Cycling Manager, I can only dream of going from sitting back and managing the team, to hot-swapping into the saddle myself for the closing stages of the Tour!

All in all, providing you get past the initial difficulty of learning the mechanics, and hitting the difficulty sweet-spot, this game provides an excellent strategic challenge, and can be one of the most tense and exciting sports games I have played as a result! The achievement of getting a rider from a 65 overall, to finally pulling away from the pack on Mont Ventoux 3 seasons later is a feeling that few games replicate as well as this one!

I do not know what to say about this game. It is surprisingly quite fun. It is a bike racing game, there is nothing more that can be said. You will either get enjoyment or think the game is stupid.

Glad it's finally on PC, wish there was more modding options. If this and PCM would combine so you could ride and control a rider at a time that'll be a true dream. Few bugs here and there but nothing gamebreaking. Good game, decent replayability. Wish workshop support will be added in future patches.

If you are a cycling fan and like the Tour de France! This game will put you on the run to get ahead of the peloton. Even if you never participated in a Cycling race event the ordeal, the sweat the pain and tears and its details you will have fun and learn how difficult it is to be the champion of this incredible tournament. This game is just incredible in my opinion!

The only controllable cycling sim there is.
Beware career mode has NO stat progression system for real riders. The age doesn't change, the stats don't change. I think this game is incredibly overpriced just because it has a monopoly on the cycling genre.
