I was so excited about this game . But this was a big big flop. Thy show that you can build your own train set. Well that not true. Yes there is a sandbox that you can do it .But the rest is a waste of time. Thy give you trains for you to fix. Then thy give you houses to paint . Very easy . Then thy have a cleaning both were you clean the trains and houses. You can't edit your Uncle board. It get boring really fast.This game is DEAD there has not been any updates and there is BUGS BUGS . The Developer is no where to be found to fix all the problems.

4/10 it works mostly and does what it says it does
not my kind of game and i would never pay for it, got it in a bundle
+ works on windows 7
- missing very basic features like raising and lowering terrain
- when using multiple trains on the same track they will stop randomly and if it stops long enough for the train behind it to make contact they both get stuck forever until you reset them
- the amount of space you have to work with is very limited. only 3 by 3 chunks of table and each table chuck is about 14 15ish train carts in length
if you want to build a set around you that you can walk in its very limited in size. no over floor table to table drawbridge
- swamping back and fourth between shopping and putting stuff down....
the system in place for putting items down and buying works fine when you have like 30 items, but falls apart when you have 100+
would much rather the tack building system be like what roller coaster tycoon has

It started out fun, but the side tasks quickly became monotonous. Even that would've been okay as it only took about two hours to complete all of the museum jobs required to unlock all of the pieces needed for the exhibitions... but at that point the game simply became frustrating. Pieces of track would glitch out and become invisible, with nothing seemingly fixing this. Thus it became a puzzle of trying to make a loop with the tracks that I could actually see. I'm forgiving of many bugs in games, but bugs that add unintended difficulty are not one of them. To make matters worse, fighting with this was exacerbated by certain exhibitions (the Wild West one in particular) placing the starting bit of track in a place where only one side of it could be built off of, as the other side was... well who knows really. My assumption was that it had been placed close enough to the edge of the mountain that there was a tiny bit of terrain blocking it. Attempting to smooth out, flatten, or lower the terrain did not fix this, however. Obviously this made the exhibition impossible as part of the requirement is to make a closed loop. I was able to get around this by looping the track into itself and ignoring half of the board, but this shouldn't have been what I had to do.

Overall, it was briefly fun and cute but got old quickly and then introduced bugs with seemingly no fix, resulting in frustration. But hey, at least Grandpa's board was cool.

concept is cool, but lacks features and is buggy as heck.

hope the devs will add more trains, track types and layout options (non-90 degree rotations and elevations). a more sophisticated automation would be cool, too.
