Who Is Toukana Interactive?
[p]For those of you who are new here — hi, and welcome!We are Toukana Interactive, an indie game studio based in Berlin, Germany. We were founded in 2020 by four students of the Game Design program at HTW Berlin (University of Applied Sciences).[/p][p]Our very first project was Dorfromantik, which started as a small student prototype and grew — thanks to all of you — into the game it is today. During the Early Access phase, we quickly realized how incredible our community is, and many of you have stayed with us ever since.[/p][p]Over time, we added a Creative Mode, released a Nintendo Switch version, and this summer 2025, Dorfromantik finally arrived on Xbox and PlayStation! ????
Right now, we’re working hard on the Mobile Edition for smartphones.[/p][p][/p][p]But that’s not all — about two years ago, we also started a new project: Star Birds, developed in collaboration with Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell.[/p][p]Our studio is growing steadily but sustainably. We’re now a team of eight people, and we love how our community around Dorfromantik has remained constructive, friendly, and welcoming. Looking Back — and Forward Together
[p]Many of you reading this have been with us since the very first prototype of Dorfromantik. To you, we owe our deepest thanks — for your feedback, your patience, and your passion that helped shape the path of Toukana Interactive.[/p][p]We hope you’ll join us in giving all the new players a warm welcome.
