Fun game! A lot of references to other games or TV shows or movies from the narrator. Also achievements portray your progress in the story campaign, so you don't need to search or do weird stuff as it is always described beforehand what you need to that.

Dies ist das beste Spiel der Welt. Es ist sehr gut und ich möchte nie wieder etwas anderes spielen.
Und nein, das absolut Böse hat mich nicht dazu gezwungen, das zu schreiben.

Das Spiel ist eine Mischung aus Dungeon Keeper und WC3 RTS Elementen.
Dabei macht es den Dungeon Part schlechter als Dungeon Keeper und den RTS Part schlechter als WC§.

Mir Persöhnlich fehlt es an ernsthaftigkeit in der Kampagne - hier müsst ihr euch vorallem auf ein Spiel einstellen welches sich selbst nicht zu ernst nimmt.

Der Multiplayer Modus scheint so gut wie tot zu sein.

Alles in allem ein Spiel das vieles versucht aber überall nicht ganz an dem herrankommt was andere Spiele schaffen. Es ist trotzdem recht witzig und wer ein Spiel sucht das einige Stunden lang spaß macht und damit zufrieden ist kann ichs empfehlen. Erwartet aber nicht zu viel.

Ich versuche hier gar keine großartige Review zu schreiben, sondern sage einfach meine Meinung.

Dieses Spiel ist fantastisch. Mein erster Einstieg ins Dungeon Keeper-Genre und ein ganz toller noch dazu. Die Grafik ist recht simpel und doch ansprechend gehalten und das Charakterdesign ist auch sehr in Ordnung.

Der Erzähler bringt witzige Kommentare und bricht gemeinsam mit der Hauptdarstellerin auch mal die Third Wall. Lustige Witze, toller Humor und geniale Kommentare mit denen das Spiel sich praktisch über sich selbst lustig macht. Ich habe die Story noch nicht ganz durch, aber kann jetzt schon mein ganz großes Lob an die Entwickler aussprechen. Habe bei einem Videospiel schon lange nicht mehr so gelacht!

Definitiv einen Kauf wert!

Einfach großartiges Spiel, kann ich jedem Fantasyfreund nur empfehlen. Die Grafik ist schön und die Spielmechaniken sind auch sehr gut umgesetzt. Ein ganz großes Lob für die Idee den Erzähler umzusetzen, ich saß oft weinend vor Lachen am Rechner und habe jede Minute genossen. :)
Nur ein kleiner Tipp für das vielleicht nächste Abenteuer der Reihe, man sollte einen weiteren Nutzen für Bösartigkeit hinzufügen da ab dem Zeitpunkt wenn alle Forschungen durch sind damit nichts mehr getan werden kann und es sich einfach nurnoch stackt. Alles in allem seit langem endlich mal wieder ein richtig gut gelungenes Spiel. Vielen lieben Dank für die fantastische Arbeit

Eins der schönsten Spiele die ich seit langem gespielt habe. Sehr schön vertont und immer mit einem Schmunzeln und Lachen, mitzubekommen. Die Haupt Story ist super jedoch was einfach aber die DLC sind alle sehr gut gelungen und bringen auch neue Optionen rein. Auch das im Koop alles ging war echt schön gemacht.

Dungeons 3 - Ein Review in mehreren Teilen:

Ich selbst bin ein großer Fan von Dungen Keeper 1 & 2. Daher fällt es mir schwer Dungeons 3 nicht ohne einen Blick auf DK 1& 2 zu bewerten. Sind doch diese quasi die Vorgänger. Das erste was mir Auffällt ist die Grafische / Stilistische Stil der sich von den vorgängern, (Ja ich weiß - grafisch hat sich in der Zeit auch viel getan) unterscheidet. Im Gegensatz zu DK 1&2 ist der Stil eher mehr Comic und Ulkig. Was aber der Gesamtatmosphäre, so meine Wahrnehmung, nicht Schadet. Es passt in das Gesamt Konzept des, sich nicht selbst ernst nehmen.

Gesteuert wird über die Vogelperspektive - sowohl unter der Erde in den Dungeons, als auch, was neu ist- auf der Oberfläche. Ein Rastersystem gibt im Dungeon die möglichkeit zum Bau von Räumen und Strukturen- ab hier wird Dungeons ein gemütliches Aufbauspiel. Das führen von Kreaturen, und das erfüllen ihrer Bedürfnisse gibt ein auch Simulations- und Rollenspielelement hinzu. Ohne dabei sich zu sehr in die Tiefe zu verlieren.

Dungeons 3 punktet aber für mich am meisten durch seine Gesamtatmosphäre, der Story und den vielen kleinen Details, welche Zeigen wieviel Hingabe in diesem Spiel steckt. Ein gutes Beispiel ist die Story, welche begleitet durch einen sehr guten Deutschen Syncronsprecher - mit bitterschönen gehessisgen bis bissigen Kommentaren das Geschehen begleitet. Stehts getreu dem Motto: Worum sich selbst so ernst nehmen. Dungeons 3 gelingt hier ein gelungener Drahtseil Akt zwischen ironischem Humour und Storytelling - ohne in das eine oder andere Extrem zufallen.

Nichts desto trotz gibt es einige Punkte die ich doch bemängel. Ab und an vermisse ich doch die Vielfältigkeit bez. der Kreaturen, die man im Dungeon haben kann. Klar manche Kreaturen waren in den alten Dungeon Keepers 3 eher Lückenfüller (Fliegen, Spinnen etc.) - trotzdem hatte es auch interessante Figuren, wie Todesengel, Echsen, Drachen, Höllenhunde... und die Liste geht noch weiter. Vielleicht haben wir das Glück und die ein oder andere Kreatur wird in einem DLC unser Dungeon betreten. Es wäre ein Gelungener Streich.

Auch stört mich manchmal die KI der Kreaturen - da beginnen die Imps manchmal mit neuen Aufgaben, wo doch der Zahltag bald ansteht - und die kasse ist bereits klamm. Vielleicht eine Aufgabenzuteilung wäre nicht schlecht (Imp 1 nur Gold schüren, Imp 2 nur Fallen aufstellen ...)

Verglichen mit den Pros, sind die Contras eher kleine dellen auf einer sonst so glänzenden Oberfläche.
Wer den dunklen Humor und das Dungeons gewimmel aus DK 1 und 2 vermisst kann hier getrost zugreifen. Es ist zwar nicht das gleiche, geht aber meiner Meinung nach in die richtige Richtung und es sind wieder Unterhaltsame Stunden.

Alles was im Vorgänger gut war beibehalten und hier und da ein paar kleine Verbesserungen eingebaut.
Der Erzähler macht wie auch schon vorher einen so guten Job und bringt den Humor des Spiels einfach blendend rüber.

Die Dialoge, Sprüche und Andeutungen sind einfach genial und humorvoll. Auch ist das Spiel nicht zu schwer, was es einem nochmal mehr Zeit gibt das Spiel mehr zu genießen und sich mehr auf die Geschichte zu Konzentrieren.

Auch wurden die Achievements gut gewählt und lassen sich auf dem weg super sammeln.

Von mir eine klare Empfehlung

Unerwartet Gut - habe das Spiel im Sale und durch die sehr guten Bewertung geholt. Dieses Spiel ist eine Mischung aus Echtzeitstrategie, Simulation, Management und Tower Defense. Die Grafik erinnert sehr an Warcraft 3 und der Humor ist einfach klasse. Das ganze Spiel ist auf deutsch und die Performance des Spiel läuft sauber. Andere AAA Titel sollten sich dieses Spiel als Vorbild nehmen. Übrigens lässt sich das Spiel auch in Mehrspieler, als auch in Koop spielen.

Das Spiel gibt eine nette Fortsetzung des Namensvorgängers und bietet viele strategische Rätzel und Möglichkeiten diese zu lösen.

Das Beste an dem ganzen sind die Figuren und der unendlich ginialen Humor, der allein es schon lohnenswert macht, dieses Spiel zu spielen!

75% Dungeon Keeper and 25% Warcraft 3

I enjoyed it for the most part and am looking forward to the next installment in the series.
Would be happy if they just put together some more campaigns, added a few units and mainly worked on the user interface.

Narration and dialogues turned out great. Alltogether, i do not regret buying thise game and it seems to bring something to the dungeon game table, which makes it unique.

The UI is the part about this game which i found to be most frustrating. Realmforge got a nice game, but the presentation and some interactions are just primitive and feel like a low-effort:

- Unit thought bubbles are way too prominent in combat. They essentially obscure the action, the models and the HP bars

- Opening the side bar menu always creates a short lag

- The unit overview(s), their selection methods and order system do not feel crisp and precise. Some fights went better without any attempts at micro managing besides initial positioning and focussing healers. - Want to save that one particular low HP Orc or move the Naga to avoid aggro? Click it, move command, frek you! Something didn't register and now you moved whatever was selected before.

Got the game for free as a Gamestar Magazine goodie.

It's good fun, despite the campaign feeling a bit drawn out and the endless mode / skirmishes not being interesting once you get magic automatic traps that easily take care of even the highest difficulty incursions on full autopilot.

I will NEVER buy anything published by Kalypso Media again.

I got a letter from their lawyers claiming i illegaly downloaded and distributed their newest game Deciples.
Wich i did not do, up to that point i didnt know of that games existance.

They have been doing this for over 10 years (you can look it up on google and find a lot of material on it)
So im sure that they know about it.

What a terrible way to treat your paying customers.
Falsely accusing them of piracy and fining them 2500€ (800€ out of court settlement).

I had to contact a lawyer and it was a very stressfull situation.

I hope for nothing but the worst for this company.

I haven't played the old Dungeon Keeper, but I've heard it doesn't completely live up to the atmosphere.
However, it offers a similar experience. I enjoy the game. Every once in a while I go back to play it. Some of the comedic aspect of the game as well as the... originality... is an acquired taste.

If there was a game that was a lot more mature (and I don't mean that kind) that ran on this very engine, it would be an updated dungeon keeper, if not more. This game has a very, very sound engine with a very, very unsatisfying story (I don't feel evil, I feel like a little kid trying to be evil). The most unfortunate part of this game is the complete lack of modding content. Modders could literally create a modern dungeon keeper out of this and... choose not to.

i was given this for free from a friend. i was reluctant to play it because i hated the first one that was not a dungeon keeper clone so i was going into this one reluctantly and already with an idea that i wasnt going to like it...now that i have said that.....they finally got it right so much so that im mulling over the idea of trying 2. i love this game scratches the nostalgia itch for the good old days of playing dungeon keeper. and i love the naration has me litteraly in sitches laughing

I really wanted to enjoy this, I really did. I loved the art direction and the comedy level story telling, but as the game went on I sadly discovered that this game was a huge time sink of grinding and massive amounts of constant frustrating micro management.

Traps are completely worthless, they take hours to build and do the tiniest little bit of damage on your enemies entering your dungeon, and the enemies always have healers with them that instantly heal the damage your traps have done.

The little joy I got from this was not worth the massive time sinks and enormous micro management. The final nail in the coffin for me to uninstall it was learning the devs have no interest in supporting modding.

I played Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 by Bullfrog These games were for Windows 95.
Anyone that played these games will tell you that this game is just not good.
Limiting the army size to a small rabble and calling it a horde? Selecting army like an RTS? This feels terrible and sad, + the idea behind the dungeon crawler was that you play in the dungeon. The dungeon felt like it was alive with creatures. You did not hire them with gold, They spawned from the heart of the dungeon because they wanted to (Because the requirements were met) Yes you could pick them up, move them, Slap them and love them, pay them or throw them in the pit. But make them fight. This is not something you could do. They would do what they want! You just hoped that you were a good master and they wanted to fight for you. This over world combat is not refreshing, it's just not good. I want to fight other dungeons, I want to be invaded because I dug to deep. (don't tell me you put nests in the game. They are not even an inconvenience) Build hole in floor, make buildings. invade the over world. Nope, Don't like it and I do not recommend this game. P.S. where are the spells! Arrrrh what a waste of money.

I just beat the game and it is so well worth the price of admission! I have always wanted to play a defender base builder with RTS elements and playing as the bad guy really lends itself to that kind of gameplay. Let's hope this developer continues making more dungeons!! FOR EVIL!!

Just like Dungeons 2 this is a nice Dungeon Keeper clone. It looks a little better than its predecessor and also the controls and game mechanics changed a bit. I would say for the better. It is a fun game and also might be a bit harder than the predecessor. There is also hellish difficulty for veterans who find the game at the base level too easy.
You build your own dungeon and command your creatures. You can pick out of 3 different species (Horde, Undead, Demons). You can develop your own strategies and play around with the game mechanics. The game has obviously a fantasy setting and some lighthearted humor.
I enjoyed the game very much and for achievement hunters this is an easy 100%.
PS: You can 100% the game without the DLC

IF YOU ARE PLAYING FOR CAMPAIGN, GET IT, IT IS GREAT

Multiplayer is hot garbage. The infinite scaling that comes with map control, makes what should be a fun rts of about 30 minutes into a multiple hour spanning infernal slugfest. You will have to leave for work, before the game is done, and you started last night. That is all.

I thought this could be an interesting management/RTS game, but nope!

You start off with these workers, you mine out for gold and rooms for maximum efficiency for each resource. There was a decent amount to do in the dungeon itself, but the graphics look awful. I found it to be extremely blurry and this is on 1440p.

The RTS portion of the game is extremely basic and repetitive. There is hardly any unit variety and the unit cap is limited to around 20 units maximum. Is this even a PC game? It doesn't feel like it...

There's not much else to say really, aside from it gets boring after the first hour. The tech tree, while interesting, means nothing when the actual game itself is bare bones.

I recommend picking up a game like Spellforce 3 as the mixture of RPG elements and RTS actually work quite well, unlike Dungeons 3's dungeon mangement/RTS gameplay loop.

Look, it may make you cringe now and then with the super corny and self-referential dialogue, the voice acting for the elf lady is kinda AWFUL, but... just mute it and enjoy the EXCELLENT dungeon keeper-like gameplay. There's few things more satisfying in GAMING than digging through the underground and building a crap ton of rooms to cater to your creatures.
8/10 would suffer through the never-ending narration any time.

Excellent game if you like building dungeons and being evil!

The main campaign and and DLCs are fun. The narrator and your sidekick bust down the fourth wall any chance they get, and their banter is amusing to listen to. Storyline is solid and interesting and the different levels have nice variation in playing styles.

But where this game really shines for me, is the skirmishes.
I absolutely love building the dungeons, setting the traps and growing my army of creatures. (The nagas are my favorites, so adorable.) It's fun to just plan a perfect dungeon, make a maze or just see how far you can play before you run out of things to do. They are great to play while listening to something else on the side too.
There's also a playground option where you really can let your creative side go wild without limitations.

Only thing I'd wish was a way to make the levels go further somehow, like being able to command multiple dungeons at once. But hey, it's entertained me for over 200 hrs already so definitely worth it's cost!

Great sense of humor with references to all the best RTS games, and fantasy and sci-fi series. Combine that with humorous but fun and challenging game play where you are building the ultimate evil dungeon and conquering above ground strongholds in order to spread evilness across the land. Oh, and the heroes try to invade your dungeon, so you have to make lots of traps and troops to keep it safe.

All the while, the narrator is making fun of the game, other fantasy and sci-fi series, himself and you.

One of the most fun games I've played in a while, and definitely the most fresh and fun RTS in a long time.

Take Dungeon Keeper 2 and combine it with Warcraft 3 and you have the very addictive Dungeons 3.

A dungeon management game below ground, and a RTS above ground seamlessly come together and makes you wonder why this hasn't been done before.

Loads of fun and blatantly poking fun at all fantasy with names, NPC quotes and narrators quote's: the very best ripped from Diablo, Dungeon Keeper, Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and much more.

All in all, a great game and something I look forward to spending hours in, maxing out all badges I can.

This game takes forever to play, each level took me an average of 2 hours and it's all spent on this little map where you carve out the underground and send monsters to the surface. Pro tip: Don't be too meticulous, just send your monsters out and portal them back if you really need to.

My playtime is reflective of one playthrough of the campaign and I didn't try to take my time.

A solid edition to the dungeon management genre that leans in the same somewhat silly direction as Dungeon keeper did, with good (but not great) humour, solid voice work, nice graphics and excellent styling.

Played first on XBOX. Then went to steam. One of my all time favorites. Love the banter and the evilness.

The game itself is a lot of fun. But the dialogue and banter magnifies the fun factor by exponential levels

Maybe some snot banter of please may I have another or as heroes are tortured having their speech go from the icky sweet goodie drips to the joyous evilness as they convert to the dark side would take it up another level of the fun factor.

I went into this not expecting anything too amazing (despite the reviews) and was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay in the campaign is very solid so far and the writing is pretty funny. Not every joke lands but enough do that it's worth watching the cut scenes. 17hrs in and the gameplay is getting a tad stale but it's still a solid rts gameplay loop.

This game is not worth it. The core of the Dungeon Keeper seems like fun, but not in this game.

Missions are very unbalanced. I was waiting AFK for the resources in the most of the main campaign missions. Then there was one extremely fast paced where I could not even explore the map. There is huge difficulty gap in the DLC's as it becomes much more harder. You can not play the DLC's the way you enjoy the most. So far I have played Once Upon A Time and Evil of the Caribbean and I am not sure, if I will finish the rest.

AI is terrible. Imps would do anything but dig for gold. They rather carry beer barrels from one brewery to another. Or build walls. Even if you have zero gold.

There is something wrong with beer barrels sound. Whenever you do anything around them, they make terrible loud noise.

There was no gold pickaxe in the map where it should be. I have digged whole map twice.

Narrator migh be annoying as he is pushing too hard.

This is a really engrossing and fun game. If you like base builders that has a good amount of challenge and the right amount of achievements to hunt for, then I would absolutely recommend this game.

Fantastic game, I love strategy games that let you take your time and you aren't rushed into the highest possible APM (hello Starcraft).

That being said, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let us turn Thalya down. She's so obnoxiously loud compared to everything else in the game.

Awesome. Love it. Great game mechanics. Great base design and defend game. There are some flaws-like some traps being overpowered, but they are fairly down the tech tree anyway. Campaign is fun and well designed, basically a parody of Warcraft but well designed. Skirmish modes against the computer are great fun with good scalable difficulty. Have never played multi-player, not my thing.

If you like Evil Genius, Banished, or Planet Base you will probably like this. Has great base building, with additional squad level tactical combat, spells etc. A definite upgrade to Dungeon Keeper.

It is the only DungeonKeeper-ish game with a fun gameplay and good storytelling.
The narrator breaks through the fourth wall all the time and the thing gets tired in the long run, as well as the constant quotation, but some funny traits overshadow the rest.
The devotion of the developers is noticeable in this game. I have not encountered any bugs in 60+ hours of gameplay.
I recommend playing the DLCs no earlier than a few weeks after completing the main storyline, because otherwise it's more of the same and can get boring. After some time, however, it's nice to go back to playing Dungeons 3 and try new adventures.

Background: I have played the original Dungeon Keeper 1/2 games to death, as well as WFTO as comparisons.

This series had been floating under my radar for a long time and from what I had heard, Dungeons 3 was the best of the series by far. So I decided to pick up the complete collection and give it a whirl.

The game has two major components that make it unique from other spiritual successors of DK. The dungeon management, and overworld exploration.

Dungeon management side feels great. It is highly similar to the original DK games; you have a selection of rooms to research and build, units of varying factions to hire, plenty of spells to wreck havoc with and of course, the ability to deliver a good ol' slap to your underlings. There is also a very expansive research tree that allows you to further power up your dungeon and units. There are also a wide assortment of nefarious traps at your disposal, which also have 'magic' upgraded versions.

The overworld side of the game was a fresh experience for me. Everyone says it plays very much like a classic RTS such as Warcraft III, albeit watered down to a degree. Nearly all map objectives revolve around the overworld, so if you are looking to just turtle your heart out and wait for victory, it won't happen. However I did not find it to be a bad thing. I enjoyed being able to have more direct control over my units and also see their stats and use abilities. Having the map turn 'evil' as you conquer areas is also a visually nice touch.

Having played the complete main campaign and all DLC, for the most part it was forgettable story-wise. The narrator's humor will definitely be grating to some, but I did not find it to be distracting from my gameplay. More than a few missions are 'timed', which can lead to the game feeling like it is rushing you if you are the type to take your time and build up your dungeon/army. The DLC is blatantly harder than the base campaign, but not to the point where you will hit a wall. You may need to restart a few times, especially on harder difficulties.

Currently working through the skirmish maps, but I found the game to overall be quite worth it as an old fan of DK. 8/10

This feels exactly the same as my dungeons 2 experience. A very slow campaign where you unlock one or two things for a 30 minute mission that really dont change how you play the game any.

You get different units but it doesnt really matter much when you can kill everything with anything. This isnt a strategy game like command and conquer where youll actually have to pay close attention to what kind of units you use.

You do get to build up a dungeon but its not very deep either. Theres only a handful of rooms to choose from so every dungeon you build will look and feel exactly the same as the last.... sort of like thats the theme. Dungeons 3 feels no different that the 2nd one. So if the 2nd game worked for you, youll like this one too.

As a die hard fan of Dungeon Keeper (less so of DK2) I was so happy to find Dungeons on steam and that they were trying to pick up where bullfrog left off (and also as an overlord fan, that the little goblin dudes have the same models and voices). I skipped D2 because of reviews, but Dungeons 3 is definitely a winner. Combining the material needs and economy of classic DK, and the overworld combat of warcraft 3, I found a lot of nostalgia in playing a long the 4th wall breaking, satirical campaign. Any more pop culture references and I would have died from happiness. Gem of game, 10/10.

The game is 50% RTS, 50% TD, and 50% RPG. It's not great at any one genre, but it is a successful mix. Adding in the parodies of all the major games and movies, gives you a solid and fun game. Dungeons 3 improves on its predecessors with calculated changes, giving the series a more polished feel. I plan on purchasing Dungeons 4 if/when it releases.

I love this game. Long time ago I got a dungeons 2 from a free giveaway and decided to give that game a try and I fell in love with it. Now I own this game and most of the dlc's. It's a lot of fun, remind me of Warcraft 3 but like with more exploring elements such as digging in your own dungeon. The story is great and the narrator is the best. Strongly recommend this game for anyone who is looking to have a great time.

After pushing through the main story, taking my time to decorate - enjoy and plan my dungeons from mission to mission; I can only really say this. This is a good game, worth playing if you get it on sale, or have never played any older 'Dungeon Keeper' titles or clones. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have some serious issues.

-Hit-
The transition from 'Dungeon Keeper' to 'Warcraft' gameplay is really good! The units are rather pointless to micro unless you're going for a bonus mission objective, and frankly I just 'Deathballed' most of my units after spending the first 30 minutes building. But the combat is enjoyable, and there's enough depth to plan various strategies around your minion roster.

There's a good bit of enjoyable humor for the first 10-16 hours.

LOTS of maps, LOTS of content, and LOTS of replayability.

-Miss-
A LOT of repetitiveness.

The writing is repetitive, making the same jokes and references over and over. I GET IT, IT'S A WARCRAFT REFERENCE. I GET IT. SOMETHING SOMETHING ARTHAS CROWN PRINCE OF LORDAERON I GETITIGETITIGETIT AAAAAAAAAAAA

Researching the same techs over and over again mission to mission gets really exhausting. Planning your dungeon ahead of time is really rewarding, but there's a delicate balance between defending your dungeon - fighting in the overworld - and waiting to get researches done so you can expand your forces. I tended to rush the first sources of 'Evilness' then rush torture chambers and prisons right away - just so I wouldn't have to wait forever to get the unit comps I liked back.

There's not a whole lot of variety in missions either, but neither was there much of a progression of difficulty besides the occasional time limit. I saw how many forms the heroes had, or 'ranks' - but you never really fought too many highly skilled
heroes as the game went on longer. Always mobs of low leveled ones, with the occasional veteran. Towers on the otherhand, always felt like serious threats that made you want to turtle and build a large enough army - or take them out with spells first. Massive damage, gigantic healthpools.

Most of the traps are very underwhelming. With how fast I was trying to catch up with all the researches, and how many bonus objectives I was trying to beat under par times - I never really cared to use traps, nor guard rooms that often. I just didn't see a point in them, when saving up evilness and researching crusher traps just... Solved all my invasion problems. They kill everything. Four down a hallway, and your dungeon heart will never be in trouble. Allowing you to focus entirely on the war above ground.

It's not a terrible game. But it's not for everybody.

A great game. It is your basic build your base up and then take out the bad hmmm I mean good guy. I like random game that you can play at any time. Great replay value. It has base management and you can use the random events your find to your advantage. The voice overs really make the game play a laugh at times. I wish they had a lot more. Pretty much if dungeon keeper met Warcraft 3. It basically mixes the dungeon building lair, with a RTS map. When you want to go to the map, send your guys to the dungeon exit. If you want back in the lair. Tell your guys to go back to the lair. Its fairly a unique take, combining both strategy genres into this strange and interesting hybrid. Bit less polished then your warcraft 3, but its a unique and interesting gem in its own way.

While the game is beautifully written, the lifetime is very short, and the skirmishes mode becomes dull very quickly.
To that end Kalypso has released a multitude of short DLCs for a fairly expensive price... most of the new campaigns appear to be very short (3 missions) and very few new functionalities have been added.
I am still waiting for the prices of those DLCs to drop to acceptable levels.

I used to play Dungeon Keeper and this is an amazing return to the genre! I only miss the possession spell!

If you enjoyed the original Dungeon Keeper games, this is a worthy successor to that legacy. While the story is very tongue-in-cheek about being like Warcraft's setting, it works well for what it is. Definitely worth a run!
