Welcome to update 2.4.0!
[p]We're very excited to finally bring update 2.4.0 to you - our very first in-house developed update! Like the takeover for Florensia earlier this year, this marks yet another massive milestone on our journey and we're excited to finally be able to share it with you. [/p][p]A lot has been going on in the past few months. We have worked tirelessly to not only understand the code but also to organize everything, clean up a lot of the codebase, create new tools that will aid us in development, create processes for more seamless and faster updates and so much more. There is still a lot of work ahead of us but we hope that you will enjoy this first update as much as we did working on it.[/p][p]With this patch now going live, we are also opening a feedback / ideas forum in Discord where we are eagerly awaiting your suggestions on how to improve the game. Temporary changes
- p]As we are currently investigating crashes caused by using the "high" texture quality, we have decided to temporarily disable this option. After installing the game, the "low" quality will be set by default without the option of changing it for the time being. Once the investigation has been completed, we will of course turn the option back on. The "low" option uses the old "high" textures from before the HD textures update.[/p][/*]

- [p]Initial implementation of Easy Anti-Cheat. This is a big step towards making the game a safer and more enjoyable environment for everyone. With this addition however, come a few notable changes: [/p][list]
- [p]Virtual machines are no longer supported and the game will close automatically when it is run inside one.[/p][/*]
- [p]Sandboxie will now cause the game to close immediately.[/p][/*]
- [p]Easy Anti-Cheat support for Linux has been enabled, making it still playable under Linux environments (not officially supported).[/p][/*]

Changes
- [p]New grass textures have been added which replace some old, outdated ones.[/p][/*]
- [p]Various adjustments to experience distributions while in a party:[/p][list]
- [p]The amount of experience gained per player has been significantly increased for all party sizes.[/p][/*]
- [p]Players who are a member of the party but roughly ~4000 units (≙ 40m) away do not count towards the experience distribution. They will however still add a penalty to the overall gained experience. [/p][/*]
- [p]Players who are +/- 15 levels of the slain monster do not add any benefits towards the experience distribution. They will however also still add a penalty to the overall gained experience. [/p][/*]
- [p]These changes also fixed an issue whereby a level 1 player would increase the amount of experience gained for other players in the party. [/p][/*]

- [p]Fixed wrong monsters being named in the quest goal for "Duty of Nobleman". It previously showed "Fungi", when in reality "Weak Fungi" were the target.[/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed multiple unintentional save zones in Droes Cave of Abyss. These save zones have been removed. The save zone at the portal has been left unchanged. [/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed quest "Start of the Adventure (Loading weapons)" for Nobles having cariad and rapier mixed around in the progress tracker. Equipping the Tutorial Cariad and Tutorial Rapier will now correctly finish the respective task.[/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed several issues causing the "You can't act while moving" message to be spammed in chat. The message can still appear, however it should now only appear when you really can't act while moving. [/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed "Trash" (the boss!) dropping "Grim Reaper's Sign" and "Grim Reaper" dropping "Trash's Sign". Both bosses now drop their respective signs. [/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed "The 1st Basement of Avery Big Mansion" showing up as question marks in the minimap dropdown when game is set to German.[/p][/*]
- [p]Fixed "Droes Under Valley" being shown above "Droes Cave of Abyss" in the minimap dropdown.[/p][/*]
- [p]Moved "Realm of Ruins" to the bottom of the minimap dropdown.[/p][/*]

Known issues
- [p]We have deployed a tentative fix for the quick slot bars resetting. We are aware that they still occasionally reset but it shouldn't remove all items anymore and it should happen more rarely. We are still working on a fully working solution to prevent this from happening.[/p][/*]
- [p]Foliage may occasionally pop in delayed and/or show up incorrectly with missing textures. This is currently a high priority target for a fix. As a workaround, switching maps should fix this issue but it can unfortunately appear again after another switch. We recommend to disable it in the settings for the time being.[/p][/*]
- [p]There is a issue that prevents players from clicking on certain spots in maps, most notable in Droes Cave of Abyss, towards the Golem Boss. We are still investigation this issue.[/p][/*]
