Medal of Honor is a game about jumping out of planes and shooting people.

Taking place during a war that never happened, you play as a war god named Travers who is capable of evolving his guns in the middle of the battlefield by feeding it the blood of Germans and Italians. Travers is part of the 82nd Airborne, a group that got paid extra to jump out of planes and yell at people with bullets. The game takes you everywhere from France, to Italy, to Germany, to the fictional country of Holland.
The last level stretches believably by having you invade Hitler's doom fortress and do battle with his Nazi super soldiers.

What do you mean the Doom Fortress was real?

Each mission has you jumping out of an airplane and landing somewhere on the map of your choosing. Some places to land get you filled with holes, while others reward you with bullets. Its a viable strategy to just land on an objective and work your way down.

When you die, Travers simply dematerializes and wakes up again in the air so he can drop once more, as per his war god status. Possessed by the murderous spirit of John Browning, every kill increases your murder bar of your weapon, allowing it to evolve. Or in the case of the Thompson, devolve into it's more primal, savage form. Each weapon can rank up three times and gets a bonus each time it ranks up. More accuracy, more damage, Italian seeking missiles, etc.

It just happens on the spot. I started the first mission with a regular Thompson, and ended it with a Chicago type writer. Giving those Italians a taste of Italian-American culture.

Each level introduces a new enemy that apparently has more killing potential than the last, though all I noticed is that at a certain level the Kar 98 just kind of disappears and is replaced by the STG-44. For example, the first level had the best of the best of the Italian, and the next level had the German Volks armee.

This game kind of just insults the Italians.

The gameplay is basically just jumping out of a plane, landing, and killing everything that moves. You'd think this would get old, but considering the game is only 3 hours long. It really doesn't have a chance to.

There are some glitches, though I don't know its because the game is old or because it was released like that. Guns would vanish in peoples hands during cutscenes, sometimes everything will just stop spawning. And other times elevator lifts would just disappear and you would have to put your faith in god before stepping on them.

The nature of the maps is kind of cool, like a power struggle between two opposing forces. American Airborne lands and then fight to set up a frontline against the defenders, and from there you need to push with your boys to the objective. And they're fairly competent with murder as well, so they can actually help in a fight.

Or you can just land on top of the objective, slap some guy in the head, and then kill all his friends. I do this a lot.

Medal of Honor: Airboner is alright, its short, but its fun for the time it takes to beat. You can sit down, play it, and then finish it before you have to pee, so its got that going for it.

It gets a score of. I don't know. 4? 6? Sure, 7.

Medal of Honor gets a 7 out of 82.

John Browning died in 1926 in Belgium.

Join the curator please, I'm very senstive.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you have the LEGACY drivers link here:

The game runs pretty well all in all, have noticed some minor to serious physics mess ups in some areas. such as you getting flung backwards on certain slopes or just flat out getting stuck, which happened to me in one of the bunkers in operation Neptune while trying to go down the stairs. took a grenade to break myself free in the end.

The segmented health system works in this for the most part. but sometimes it can be difficult to get your bearings when dealing with large groups before biting the dust at lower health but really on normal difficulty the game isn't horribly hard to get by in, seeing as I managed to grind the 1911 to max level without too much difficulty. That being said, I am a very, very aggressive player so it is very possible that I was my own worst enemy in the end.

Let's talk about the biggest problem with this game. Its save system (or lack of one). The game runs off of checkpoints, which is fine, what isn't fine is that the game has an option to overwrite checkpoint save that does literally nothing. Which is really frustrating when you manage to level up a weapon twice and get both a fire rate and a damage upgrade so you save the game, then you die. but hey its no problem I have myself a save with those upgrades... then you parachute down. and see that your gun is back down to level 1.5 and you are back where you started 20 minutes of grinding ago. now that doesn't sound awful... Except that the game is partially random with AI behavior and this reload replaced the Italians and Germans with Japan's finest who just ran out of ammo. Banzai.

I know this review is mostly focused on the cons of the game. and that's because well... its Good... but its problems are just bad enough that they can make or break your enjoyment of the game and you have a right to know. That's all for this game. Ciao

this games sandbox, AI director, and open levels plays exactly like Valves left for dead but with nazis,
its a 10/10 if you make sure to install the version of phsyx the games includes in its steamapps file, and make sure to increase the fov. default fov is like 60 and thats puke inducing

this is one of my all time favourite games and i take it out for a rip once a year.

Probably one of the last Medal of Honor titles that was worth playing. The for a title that is now over a decade old, it still stands out as a good WWII shooter, great maps and campaign story. The enemy AI is not very smart, with a predictable pathing system for them depending on which of the multiple linear routes in semi open environments you play on in each map. The game stayed mostly true to the Medal of Honor WWII Era franchise. Everything After this title was down hill.

I can't lie, this game is from 2007 and I'm still playin' it in 2020. It's an amazing game. The gunplay is fantastic and it uses some irl sounds of the guns. The story, although a bit 'Michael Bay-ish', is great. It pay homage to the 82nd airborne during World War 2 and really makes you feel like one of them.

A VERY short game, I completed this in less than three hours, and that was spent with plenty of messing around. It's also chock FULL of glitches and your point of aim sometimes seems off or the bullet spread is just ridiculous.

However, this game is still plenty of fun, the sound design is great, the glitches don't get in the way of gameplay, and chasing the weapon upgrades gives you a lot of reason to play aggressively. I don't remember how much I paid or even how much it's listed on the store page as I write this review, but I would pay $15 for this.

So far, I feel this game will go back to the era of World War II. hehehe. I played this game for first time since 2015.
+ Graphics are quite satisfying on my laptop and high FPS
+ Missions is quite simple. Although, location of actions are rather difficult to pass
- Several bugs per chapter
- Somewhat difficult in 1945 chapters (Station & Flak Tower)

Overall, the best world war II game ever
8.6 / 10 for this game :)

So, I have wayyy more hours on Airborne than steam says I do. Probably in between 500 - 1,000 because I used to have the actual disk along with my first desktop. It's been super nice to go through it again. That being said, nostalgia is a helluva drug and I can understand that parts of it don't hold up if you aren't already a huge fan of it. First time I installed it from steam the dl went nuts after messing with some old programs that Airborne needs in order to run, but the second time it worked fine. There's also some wack camera bobbing when you sprint that I didn't remember. Not sure if there's a toggle for it since I got used to it in like 20 minutes. The soundtrack is, in my opinion, one of the best in any game ever made. Seriously, I still listen to it on it's own over a full decade later. As far as graphics go it's still beautiful imho. On the other hand the campaign is woefully short compared to the stuff you'd see today, and although I never bothered touching the multiplayer, I'd be surprised if even one person plays it. I can't say what the replay value is like to someone who doesn't have nostalgia for this, but it's super high for me. Also seems like it's discounted during every steam sale anyways so there's no real harm in picking it up if it looks interesting. I cherish this game with all of my heart.

Great short and sweet fps game. The combat feels absolutely wonderful, I really enjoy how you can lean into all sides. I also really like the very strange recoil and spray of weapons, the upgrades for killing enemies are neat. I always looked forward to the next mission to see what will happen in the next 'in a plane and jumping out of a plane' scene, as it's always different. The missions and map are very open and you can do objectives from many different angles and in whatever order. I guess that's the thing I like the most about it.. just how open the maps are. Everything about this game feels great :) definitely will play again 5/5
Medal of Honor: Airborne
A blast from the past. handsome amazing time back in my early teen days with Medal of Honor: Airborne. Spending hours after school on multiplayer with my whole squad was a blast.

Released back in 2007 by EA for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii . This was a pinnacle of FPS shooter gaming back in the day. Extremely enjoyable campaign and multiplayer games.
I wish they would make more Medal of Honor games.
Plot
The plot bases around Boyd Travers, a U.S. paratrooper, who participates in six different missions. Each one takes place during a different operation, from Operation Husky to bringing down Der Flakturm in Germany. Travers fights alongside the 82nd airborne division and the 17th Airborne, in 'Young Fools' and 'Flying through Hail'.
Gameplay
For 2007 this was a great gaming experience. some minor hiccups aside, both Medal of Honor: Airborne camping and multiplayer was very enjoyable.
Focuses on non-linear gameplay. The player is allowed to choose a loadout at the beginning of the missions and is allowed to use enemy weapons. Weapon pickups are a big thing in this game, tho you don't think about it while player but it is. Enemies drop ammo after death but that doesn't help much and you will end up having to pick up enemy weapons due to inaccurate weapons and heavy recoil.
Weapon modeling was done well which adds well to the player experience.
The game also lets the player choose where to land and what objectives to complete first. Tho I must say I was never a fan of the Airbornes para jumping feature. Always felt they could have done a better job at it.
The player is able to upgrade weapons and grenades, upgrades which carry over from mission to mission.

Medal of Honor: Airborne allows players to go throw quite a few different weapons, which are -

For the American side - M1911, M1 Garand, M1903/A5 Springfield, Thompson submachine gun, Browning Automatic Rifle, MK 2 Grenade, Winchester Model 12 Shotgun, and M18 recoilless rifle. ( Every weapon expect M18 recoilless rifle and MK 2 are upgradable )

For the German side - C96, Karabiner 98 Kurz, Gewehr 43, MP40, Sturmgewehr 44, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, Panzerschreck, and MG42 ( Every weapon expect MG42 are upgradable )

The game was nowhere near perfect but for the time it was a very well made game and enjoyable, which also allowed Medal of Honor: Airborne receive warm welcome by the gaming communities worldwide.
Positives
• Innovative for the time.
 • Rewards effort and experimentation.
 • Very enjoyable multiplayer experience.
 • Parachuting into battles grants more freedom and adds verticality to combat.
 • Great open-ended level design.
 • Some awesome Unreal-powered graphics.
 • Nonlinear objectives.
 • Good looking weapon design.
 • Cool weapons upgrade system
 • Quite a few weapons to choose from.
 • Still worth playing.
 • Runs well on modern hardware.
Negatives
• Rather Short campaign.
 • Not the prettiest, even for the time.
 • Long load times for the time.
 • The six missions are over too quickly.
 • Poor AI.
 • Roughly 6 hours of play will see you finish the entire game.
 • Not enough playing time to unlock everything.
Summary
Medal of Honor: Airborne is still worth putting your time into.
The pros outweigh the cons. and the cons are minor.
Not much to do in-game but the gameplay is enjoyable. And fairly priced for the age of the game.
I highly recommend it. if you haven't played Medal of Honor: Airborne.
Worth every last penny.
Best wishes, happy Gaming...

It was a great experience. A really good war game made by EA back in 2007. Didn't face a single problem running this game in 2020.

* Great campaign
* Awesome action
* Satisfied weapon upgrade system
* Variations in gameplay
* Intense fighting

It is a must play game for whoever didn't play it yet. If you are a shooting freak like, then you will definitely like it.....

Great WW2 FPS. It is unique in the sense that each mission will start with a parachute drop, and you can then choose to land wherever you want to complete your objectives. For this reason, it feels a lot less linear than most WW2 shooters. My only real problem with the game is that it is very short, taking well under 5 hours to finish. Still, the low price makes up for this.

A lot of people are saying it's impossible to run in 2020. Bruh. I got it like 2 days ago and it works fine. If it doesn't work for you it's generally an easy fix. That or you should dig out the xbox 360 and buy a copy for it. By that point though most people would just refund it lol. This game was my childhood, along with frontlines. I recommend this game to anyone with a brain. 10/10, lets hope moh comes back soon.

I've played this for a bit on PC. Things I find that I hate? Weapons disappear and reappear as you're moving. Sometimes when you respawn, you respawn in the middle of the enemy. Sometimes when you throw a grenade, it bounces to the ground about 3 feet away from you. I had to figure out the controls on my keyboard and controller. Changing weapons after the briefing took some time to figure out that you have to use the mouse to do that. The rest of it I can live with. But had I known the issues I've had before hand, I wouldn't have bought the game. This was one of my favorites on Xbox

+ 21:9 Native support, great to see for a 2009 game.
+ Objectives are a better written than other ww shooters of this era.
+ Smart ai (some instances not all) for the time, flanking etc.
+ leaning/peaking for a more tactical approach.
+ Weapon loadout a the start of each mission to choose how you approach.
+ Para-drop in to pick a location, on top of a building or in the action.

- Weird aiming, clear console port.
- forced motion blur, never a good sign.
- forced mouse acceleration.
- Absence of anti-aliasing.
- Team ai constantly gets in your line of fire.
- Old school enemy aimbot. was never keen on this.
- Enemies spawning only 20 metres in front of you. very obvious.
- Enemy AI often ignore team ai even if they are in the open to focus on you behind cover.
- Constantly getting stuck on objects, unable to move. highly annoying.

Medal of honor airborne is another game in the series, this entry takes place across various theatres and operations. While there isn't much of a story which i would have liked, the various levels and missions feel well adjusted and tuned well to make for a fairly realistic ww2 shooter.
the gameplay mixes that of some tactical shooters, with a standard fps, this adds a bit of depth to the gameplay, with an emphasis on leaning and strategic placement, either while spawning and parachuting on top of a building for a better shot at long range with a loadout you create at the start of the mission.
The main issue i have with the game is the enemy Ai with their over-the-top aimbot, (on hardest difficulty) it can be quite annoying, very inconsistent as well, sometimes failing to notice you at all or getting stuck and failing to shoot at your team standing out in the open.

*Medal of honor Airborne May fail to launch for some on newer hardware, to fix this go into Install directory, Moha/install/Physx and install the physx driver manually, if it fails, uninstall your current physx and try again.
*Fov is very consoley' to fix this as well as some additions, a mod is available here ---> https://www.moddb.com/mods/medal-of-honor-airborne-redux/images/image-11#imagebox

Things certainly have advanced since 2007, so in that regards it hasn't aged well at all, but overall if i look at the complete package it does still bring to the table what others don't.
Sale still recommended.

Not the best fps, but still better than most modern shovelware.

This game's only fault is that it's too short, it requires the legacy pjhysX drivers though.

Account creation is broken in multiplayer.

The single player is fairly average and very short even compared to other MoH games. Highlights were the non-linear level design and the very mobile enemy AI, although the game is let down by some odd design choices such as making the hipfire accuracy on everything atrocious until you get enough kills to unlock the accuracy upgrade which just make the guns not fun to use until that point.

Surprisingly a decent game, but also very short. 6 campaign levels with weapon progression and multiplayer isnt functional unless you have an original EA account from what I understand. If you wanna buy it, wait till its discounted.

In overall, game is ok. I'll rate it with 6.5/10
Graphics are OK but outdated.
Gampley is good but, problem is when u need 20 bullets for 1 enemy.
Game is very short (only 6 missions)
Bad thing is whenever you die, you will spawn by landing on the ground again.

One of the best MOH games I played. Really fun, action packed with different weapon, different level of AI, big maps, free landing with the parachute, some achivable medals and weapon levels. Really fun game, but sadly the campain is really short (4 and half hour on Expert for me) and you can't play multiplayer, if you don't have a legacy EA account from before Origins time. Also, the graphics for 2007 is amazing, but for me, it's really good looking even nowadays, sound is amazing, but the graphics can be funky with the models, either because of going into each other or glitching it. Looks funny and horrifying sometimes, but it's not that bad. Controls can be weird at first, it's actually pretty enjoyable! Definetly worth to check on the game, but 10€ is too much for it, considering the amount of playtime you get... even though this game is epic!

Horrible pacing, the maps are too big and/or confusing, some guns are pretty much useless and others are next to overpowered, and it makes no sense to add MG42 Juggernauts in a WW2 game.

Most of the soundtracks are from PS1 MOH games, thats why this game is beautiful. But PS1 MOH games are still the best.

How does the game manage to get me stuck by lightly rubbing against a wall... I can understand if that happens once, or twice, but it must've happened a dozen times. This is ridiculous. You can lose a good chunk of progress with that shit.

The game is scuffed in more ways as well. Iron sights don't seem to line up properly with shots. Ragdolls can fly in the air at random. Enemy AI often run around like headless chickens. They sit in cover with their head neatly lined up for you for ages, or run a long distance just to attempt to punch you in the face.

This is just plain unpolished. Also the levels after the first one (set in an Italian village) don't seem to improve. The game was most fun landing on rooftops and clearing quaint little houses. The standard trench/bunker warfare shit that follows this opening isn't as interesting.

As far as single-player campaigns go, this is my favorite Medal of Honor game out of the half-dozen or so that I've had experience with (finished the 2 PSX games and Allied Assault on the PC, and played some of Pacific Assault and the 2010 reboot).

My reasons for enjoying Airborne so much aren't because of anything particularly special about it. It looks decent for a 15-year old game, the maps are well-designed, and the guns are fun to shoot. But it's more because most of the annoying crap which is so common in FPS games of the late 2000s is mercifully missing from this one. Some examples:

- Unskippable cutscenes are kept to a minimum, and empty gameplay (e.g. waiting for AI companions or holding down the W key) is completely absent. There are mission briefings you have to sit through before each level, but they're only about a minute long and are followed by 30 to 45 minutes of virtually uninterrupted running and gunning.
- The friendly AI is actually helpful. They aren't exactly intelligent (nor are the enemies for that matter), but they get their share of kills and don't crowd you as much as in other games, for example by trying to force themselves into cover you're currently occupying or walking into your line of fire (the latter does tend to happen in the game's few close-quarter battles however). They also do a good job of pressing forward as soon as the immediate area is clear, instead of waiting for you to lead the way.
- The enemies are not psychic. If you flank them without being seen, they will not turn their attention to you until after you've started shooting. And they don't have pinpoint-perfect aim either, so peeking out of cover for a split-second doesn't result in an immediate bullet to the head from an enemy who's 100 yards away (hello Call of Duty).

Speaking of cover - Airborne uses one of the better implementations of an FPS cover system, in that you can peek in any direction (including up and down) while aiming down sights. It would have been nice to be able to peek without aiming, but it's quite useful as it is, and makes shooting through small gaps in the geometry both possible and satisfying.

Airborne is a short game - just a few hours long on normal difficulty - but that's basically the perfect length for a game that now costs only $10. And there's more replayability than usual since the 6 levels all take place in open-ended maps, allowing for a fair amount of variation in how you approach each objective and in what order.

I only wish EA would revisit the game for some needed maintenance. Add Steam achievements to give it a little more value, remove the censorship (at least for regions where it's not necessary to hide Nazi imagery), and clean up the technical issues people have encountered.

Medal of Honor: Airborne is a WW2 game about US airborne units dropped throughout europe on iconic missions such as Operation Market Garden and Husky.

- Great missions
- Multiple ways to approach one mission due to always starting by jumping out of a plane.
- Iconic soundtrack
- Weapons feel quite great to use
- Weapon upgrades
- Bonus videos (Trainings and in-development videos)

- Quite short (3~ hours)
- Can't tell much about the multiplayer, I assume it's dead at this point considering how old this game is.
- The cover system is a bit hit or miss, but it works

- Some visual glitches
- No bullet penetration (Can't hit enemies through thin wood for example)
- On the first mission at Adanti, you fight against Italian soldiers in 1943, but they do not use any italian guns at all, felt a bit lazy.
- When you get a weapon upgrade, the game goes slow-motion with a very intense DoF, which can be quite irritating after the 3rd upgrade you get.
- I had encountered 2 game breaking bugs (Got stuck in a wall twice)
- I don't understand why Panzerschrek units wear gas masks, feels off
- The Nazi Storm Elite unit looks badass and all that, but it doesn't really feel right in a WW2 game. It's like something out of a Wolfenstein game.

8/10 It's a great Medal of Honor game, but it has its flaws. Great experience nonetheless.

Graphics and story for a 2007 game is the selling point, but gameplay is terrible. Enemies would continue shooting unflinched even as they get hit, there are many bugs that get you stuck in terrain, and gun accuracy is worse than a musket,

Pros and cons time, it will be easier for me to put this.

- Fun campaign
-decent choice of guns
-somewhat good graphics

Those are all pros I could give.
Now as for the Cons: The Multiplayer is what could potentially be really fun and all that, but the problem is that the peak is only 8 -12 players, which isn't a lot. People who still play Multiplayer are mostly OG's who like to destroy other players at the game, so if you are a new player, you will get dragged around left and right.
The campaign is probably the juice of the game, but it's quite a short campaign.
For the price it is, a good game, but pretty much dead.

That's it. Buy it if you want to.

She is a buggy girl, but this game paired with some nostalgia still manages to be quite a lot of fun despite the choppy graphics and incredible strange hitboxes on enemies. I've put at least 14 hours into this game, plenty of hours before Steam, and I shall be putting quite a few more into it as time goes on. I'd recommend this game for anyone looking for the shooter experience without the insanity of a AAA title or skill gap.

Das strebt MoH auch nicht an.

Die beiden Serien haben ihren eigenen Anspruch und Ausrichtungen.

Aber Airborne is definitiv der Tiefpunkt der Serie!
