I’ve been working on an update that adds bridges to the game, and it’s finally ready for testing! With this update, you’ll be able to connect small islands, cross over bays and lakes, and improve your village by shortening travel distances for villagers, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the overall look of your settlement.
Before releasing the update to everyone, I want to make sure everything works smoothly. That’s why I’m using Steam’s Beta Branch to provide an early test version for those who’d like to try it out. If you’d like to test the new system and help me catch any potential issues, follow the steps below to access the beta update:
How to Access the Beta Branch:

[*] Right-click on Settlements Rising and select Properties.
[*] Go to the Betas tab.
[*] Select bridge_update_beta from the dropdown menu.
[*] Wait for the update to download and launch the game!

This update is still in testing, so your feedback is very important to me.
The addition of bridges also introduced new collision types and pathfinding algorithms to control villager movement. These changes could potentially cause some system issues or performance drops.
