Nightmare is a new difficulty setting even tougher than Heroic, and with it introduces one of the most requested features: rewards for completing ultimate challenges at the highest difficulty level! These rewards persist across all save slots once they’re unlocked in Nightmare mode, applying to both existing and new save files.
The challenges offer rewards like dyes, personas, and housing items that grant crafting resources like Spectra and Archaic Bones, along with memory fragments and gold. Over 35 new items are available for those who complete all challenges, including a special reward for those who complete every challenge.
Nightmare Difficulty is only available when starting a New Game and cannot be changed once selected. However, it comes with enhanced drops, including empowered versions of all existing artifacts and three new artifacts exclusive to Nightmare difficulty. The ultimate min/maxer’s challenge awaits!
We’ve previously announced mods coming before the end of the year. With our timeline and focus on these other platforms and features, mods won’t be coming before the end of the year.
