Within, you’ll find a wealth of information on the underground, as well as tips, tricks, lore, developer comments, community input, advice from our ambassadors, and more. Remember the days when boxed games used to come with little guidebooks? Well, this is our love letter to those guidebooks…ramped up to 100!
The Explorer’s Guide is a labour of love from all of us here at Pugstorm, the folks over at Fireshine games, Core Keeper’s community manager, and the talented Matt Hill who illustrated the entire document. The current iteration of the guide contains key information all the way up to Void & Voltage, and we’ll be updating it alongside each major update.

New players can also pick up the guide as part of the Explorer’s Edition Steam Bundle, which includes Core Keeper on Steam, the Explorer’s Guide, and the Core Keeper OST. To find your Explorer’s Guide digital artbook for Core Keeper, please follow the steps below:
Open Steam and go to your Library.

[*] Click “Browse Local Files.”
[*] In the game’s installation directory, open the folder named: Explorer's Guide

The Digital Book, the Concept Art collection and the Key Art collection files are located inside this folder.
Please note that the Explorer’s Guide is currently only available to purchase in English, but we’re open to the idea of localising it if this is something that the community expresses an interest in!
