[p]Hello Everyone![/p][p]As you might already know, we are working on our next project: Planetbase 2.[/p][p]The game is of course a sequel to the original Planetbase from 2015, but we also like to think about this game as Madruga City Builder 3, as the it is absolutely a spiritual successor to Dawn of Man, a ton of the features will be making a comeback in an evolved form.[/p][p][/p]

Primal Vision and Scan Mode

[p]Planetbase 2 will feature an evolved version of Primal Vision, called Scan Mode.
This mode will allow you to see surface resources initially, and then you will be able to prospect the map to see underground resources, thermal activity and other stuff.[/p][p][img src="https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/32831408/236351730b198ba2ac3bd4278b789c6668f88436.png"][/img][/p]

Vehicles

[p]Like Sledges, Carts and Plows in Dawn of Man, in Planetbase 2 we will have a variety of vehicles and machines like Rovers, Trucks, Harvesters or Tankers, to help your settlers automate harder tasks in the colony.[/p][p][img src="https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/32831408/2030cc03e4cca12327cfe85bdc6bfe0819ec11b2.png"][/img][/p]

Work Areas

[p]This is one of the ideas we came up for Dawn of Man that worked the best. It allows you to automate resource gathering without losing control of what's going on. [/p][p]In Planetbase 2, Work Areas will be used to mine surface resources, like Iron, Silicates or Ice, and also to assign areas for Terraforming or Prospection.[/p][p][img src="https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/32831408/908267172423de86bd5ff843c045b2294968bf0f.png"][/img][/p]

Multi selection and direct commands

[p]Planetbase 2 will feature better AI which will be an evolution of the Dawn of Man code. Multi phase Tech Tree

[p]In Dawn of Man we have the different ages, and in Planetbase 2 we will have different colony phases, each with it's on upgrades to unlock. AI and Task system

[p]In Dawn of Man we introduced the task system for the AI, so people can perform tasks consisting of several stages (like crafting a resource from it's components). This system is making a comeback in Planetbase 2.[/p][p]Overall we are taking the main ideas behind the Dawn of Man AI and evolving them for Planetbase 2.[/p][p][/p]
