Update #34 is a smaller one on the surface, but an important step for us.
A big part of this update is focused on Steam Deck. Over the last updates, especially since Update #32, the game gained a noticeable boost in smoothness and overall performance. This is true across all platforms, but for Steam Deck, we put in extra work to make sure the experience feels right in handheld play.
With this polishing pass, our goal is clear: we want to move toward official Steam Deck certification and earn the green “Playable” badge for full compatibility. That means better controls, better readability, cleaner UI behavior, and fewer rough edges when playing on Deck.
Alongside the Steam Deck work, we have also made a wide range of fixes and improvements, listed below.[/p]

- Text input now automatically opens the on-screen keyboard
- Default controller configuration now supports all in-game actions
- Improved text readability on Steam Deck

- Added a missing prompt for the lever in the time puzzle on the 4th island
- Added additional voice-overs in selected Val quests
- Polished the cutscene for the “Sticky Situation” quest
- Fixed an incorrect quest name for the “Bamboo Seeds” quest
- Fixed an issue where settlers could spawn before their arrival cutscene
- Removed the “Peat” requirement from Seed-related quests
- Fixed incorrect button prompts in some tutorials
- Fixed several graphical issues in Val Camp
- Fixed an issue where players could not talk to settlers and NPCs in some cases
- Fixed a bug where Ragna could move up or down without input after exiting the menu
- Fixed a bug where high jump visual effects did not turn off after landing
- Fixed an issue where water visual effects could trigger when teleporting to the MEG, even outside of water

- Fixed an issue where waves could repeatedly trigger from the same spawn point
- Improved tessellation for flatter surfaces
- Optimized performance in areas with many lights and shadows
- (Balance) Reduced MEG charged high jump mana cost from 50 to 25
