News Liste Planetbase

Hello Everyone,

As you might already know, we are working on [url="https://store.steampowered.com/app/3509420/Planetbase_2/?snr=1_2108_9__2107"][b]Planetbase 2[/b][/url][b],[/b] we hope everyone is as [b]excited[/b] as [b]we are[/b]!

This is our third dev update (see updates [url="https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3509420/view/516337874624316081"]01[/url] and [url="https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3509420/view/543369627969783121"]02[/url]).

We've creating a ton of [b]art[/b] and implementing more [b]new features[/b] over that last few months. This is some of the stuff that is now in the [b]game[/b]:

Geothermal Plant

The [b]Geothermal Plant[/b] will be a secondary, but very reliable power source.

You will have to scan the world for underground [b]heat[/b], using people or drones. Once you find a source of heat you can [b]place the structure on top of it[/b].

This will be typically away from the base, so you will have to [b]build the connections[/b] to it.

You then monitor the plant from the [b]Control Center[/b].

Bio Dome

The [b]Bio Dome[/b] is making a comeback, but with some important changes.

Plants now require [b]Fertilizer, [/b]that can be created from [b]Organic Waste[/b] or also from [b]Sulfur[/b] from the planet surface.

New selection of vegetables that makes more sense

There will be other food sources like, [b]Insects[/b], [b]Algae[/b] or [b]Synthetic Meat[/b].

Processing Plant Components

We've been modeling some of the Processing Plant components:

[b]Steel Processor[/b] and [b]Plastic Processor[/b]: These are similar to Planetbase 1, they convert [b]Iron Ore[/b] and [b]Starch[/b] to [b]Steel[/b] and [b]Plastic[/b].

[b]Glass Furnace[/b]: This is a new mechanic for Planetbase 2, you have to mine [b]Silicates[/b] from the planet soil, then process them into [b]Glass[/b], which you will then use to create transparent domes.

Gym

We are introducing a new [b]Fitness[/b] stat for colonists. Due to the [b]low gravity environment[/b] and in order to stay in shape to perform the colony tasks, people will have to be making use of the [b]Gym[/b], especially [b]Biologists[/b], [b]Medics[/b] and [b]Engineers[/b] as [b]Workers[/b] already perform physically demanding tasks.

Canteen

We've created a new component here: the Fridge, that will allow you to store food.

And a lot More

The game is coming along very nicely, and you can play it for a few hours already.
