It’s already been six months since Railroad Corporation 2 launched into Early Access back in October 2024, and we thought it’d be the perfect time to look back at what has happened so far. A bunch of exciting new additions have made it into the game, and our friends at Iceberg Interactive have prepared an overview video, showing off some of the features of the last 6 months.

In December, the Autumn Biome was released, giving you the option of trading the snowy peaks of the winter biome for greener pastures. The new biome came with a variety of new maps with a variety of different playstyles:
- Autumn Journey, a new, larger sandbox map.
- Nature of Competition, a competitive 2-4 player map, where you can challenge your friends and see who can build the most successful railroad corporation.
- Mutual Fund, a cooperative multiplayer map. Instead of competing against your friends, you now have to work together to expand your corporation’s reach!
Two months later, we added Generated Scenarios. You can now generate your own map, with the ability to tweak details according to your preference. Generated scenarios allow you to modify your terrain, add or remove raw materials, choose your objectives and much more - both in single- and multiplayer sessions.
Along with these big additions, there’s been a variety of other notable fixes and improvements throughout the last six months. We updated semaphores, which you can now freely place on the entirety of your track by Shift + Left click, allowing for a much smoother way to get multiple trains to use your tracks. The tax system has also been implemented, adding some difficulty to the game by having to pay taxes every year over the money you’ve made with your corporation.
There’s a slew of other changes that you can review by reading our previous blogs or our changelog. Early Access has been an incredibly exciting time and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
We have a big update, with a bunch of exhilarating features, coming soon, so stay tuned! Can’t wait to see your reactions.
