[p align="start"]In the previous devlog we spoke of the events of madness those inward storms that rise from fractured minds. Today, we wish to draw aside a different veil and speak of another system that demands choice: [b]the system of random events[/b]. These are occurrences that may emerge unbidden during your journey through [i]Terror: Endless Night[/i], each one calling for a decision whose outcome can never be known with certainty????️[/p][img src="https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/42049399/fb17b6de11454ce21f8a4e2d7e9385431183eedf.jpg"][/img]
[p align="start"]One such moment may come in the shape of a [b]polar bear[/b]????❄️[/p][i]It is said that one swallow does not make a spring, yet today such a herald came to the entire crew in the form of a polar bear sighted not far from the ship. Perhaps it foretells a break in the weather, or perhaps it is but a lone wanderer from some greater herd that roams the desolate expanses far from here.[/i]
As captain, you may choose:
to consent to sending the crew out to hunt the bear????
or to forbid them from venturing forth✋

[i]Whatever the truth of it, the sight of the creature breathed a measure of hope into the sailors’ hearts, for they began to see in its appearance a sign of the approaching end of the polar night. Even so, all logic dictated that men be sent to hunt it. Extra provisions are ever welcome, and such a chance to bring down a bear might not come again. Soon after the party was assembled, the sailors set out upon the hunt. The darkness around us seemed to thicken yet further, which ought to have stirred my misgivings; perhaps it was a warning, for the men who returned did so bearing grave frostbite[/i]????[i].[/i]
And so one may wonder whether the wiser course is to refuse the chase entirely to deny the darkness its due. No extra provisions will grace the hold, yet morale may still lift, if only slightly, and no man will return crippled, ill, or unfit for duty????♂️.
