When Mordruuk disappeared, leaving the observatory gates unprotected, the shamans were in despair. They did not dare approach the cursed place, but they could not allow the darkness to spread further.
And the magic of the Abyss did not wait. It clung to the living like a disease. And its first victim was Gormak the Floating, one of the demons patrolling the observatory.
At first, the changes were barely noticeable: his skin was covered with purple veins, like the roots of darkness. Then the power began to flow in his veins, distorting his flesh. When his kin noticed this, they pounced on him, but Gormak managed to fight them off and escape.
Escape saved his mind, but not his body. With each passing day, the Abyss reshaped him: blades as sharp as night appeared on his hands, his body turned into a translucent shadow, and his eyes lit up with a cold violet flame. He was no longer a demon, but something else.
At first, he helped his former brothers in arms - saving them from ambushes, leading them out of traps. But when the shamans finally sealed the observatory, Gormak understood his purpose and stood up to protect the observatory. Not out of loyalty to Kagrokhan, not out of fear. But because he knows that something worse than death is hidden inside. And anyone who tries to open the observatory will learn what blades forged by the Abyss itself are capable of.
